The staff was decent, it's dark in there easy on the eyes. However, I had booked my appointment at 2:00, they didn't serve me until 2:15, the lady me what i had asked for (french tip acrylics with a white tip as the extension so i "wouldn't get charged for design" and my middle finger all white with glitter) with these type of nails, I have gotten before and they were $40 at most to every other place i've been with better outcomes. I left with 2 nicked cuticles and nails that are of completely different lengths and shapes of each other. I was charged $80 for the bare minimum of acrylics. And even if it's been 6 months since I've been in she recognizes me (even with a dumb mask)!! She'll say "you hate football being played in nail salons!" YEP! The salon is clean and sanitary. But the friendliness is my biggest thing. One thing that really gets me is when the whole shop of employees are speaking Vietnamese while working on you. Rudest thing EVER! But not at redPOLiSH. They speak to each other in English. I mean every once in a while they say a sentence. But never more than that. And that is a HUGE thing for American women. Two weeks ago I was visiting a childhood friend in Lenexa. She hadn't tried redPOLiSH previously. We called and made 1:00 pm appointments. We finally were seen for a pedi for her and a gel mani for me at 1:30. The technician was trimming my cuticles and said I had a hangnail. He dove in and the attached photo is the result. I decided to come here on a weekend with my daughter, had an appointment so that would assure that we'd get in on time, was greeted by a lady who seemed to be the owner of the nail salon who seemed quite rude as if our arrival was such an inconvenience. waited an additional 10-12 minutes from original appointment time. I had gotten a pedicure and a Dip powder manicure, the pedicure service was done by someone who seemed new and was rushed within 15 mins, had a gentleman for the dip manicure and it was too thick and began lifting three days later. I am far from a nail snob but if I'm paying $100+ I would have expected great service and outcome. read more

Love this place! Everyone is friendly and does a fantastic job every time. I just want to respond to what Melissa M. wrote on 4/5/18. I was in the salon the day she came back with her daughter...in her review she wrote that she was "very nice" when she came back to complain about her daughter's nails. The way she wrote how things played out was not the way it happened at all. There were probably 6-8 other customers in the store at the time she came back to complain - we all sat in disbelief that someone would come in and make a huge scene in front the of the entire shop. There was no catching flies with honey - it was all vinegar. There was absolutely no pleasing her, nothing that they said would calm her down. They offered to fix her daughter's nails, but she said she didn't have time. She finally walked out yelling "how rude". She obviously wanted to make a huge scene for everyone around to hear. I just feel her review is very unfair to what actually happened. I have been going to Red Polish from the time they opened - it's a great friendly fun atmosphere. Love them!!! read more

Im getting my nails done at my place. Last time 3wks ago Kevin made several racial comments and then apologized when I was all done. He even took 10 dollars off my bill. I tipped him BC he did acknowledge and apologize. Im here now and he is doing my nails and haven't said one word. Not how was my day. NOTHING. Im feeling awkward. BC now he is anti social and acting as if "I" did something wrong. We use to talk about everything. Today mere silence. Then his coworker Sam noticed and said something, he then said he didn't feel like talking. I was and am very happy with his services but not how he handles the situation after. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!! I tipped him 5 dollars today, and that was out of pitty!! I think of my line of work. Tried them out today. Had a gel mani and regular pedi. Did a great job... might be my new go to place . The nice thing is they open at 9 on Saturdays. Super clean ... use liners and have a basket full of new equipment, you know they aren't using the same file on you as the person before. Very friendly staff. Will definitely go back. read more

I am VERY picky when it comes to my nails. I have been bouncing from nail technicians because it seems like there aren't a lot of technicians who actually know what they are doing and they don't perform quality work. I am SO glad I found Kevin here. Does an amazing job with the dipping powder. He really takes his time and with it being my first experience, he let me know each step of the process. The prices are a bit steep but I think that's normal in Johnson County. Oh and if you want gel, ask for Sunah! My new regular spot! read more

When you walk in they just stare at you and don't say anything. For someone that has entered your salon I think it should be practice to atleast give a greeting. I was in KC visiting family and needed my dip polish redone. I chose this nail salon based on the convenience of its location. The salon is dark, somewhat messy and dirty. The dip manicure I received was one of the worst I ever have had. And, I paid the most I have ever paid for it! (I'm sure because this salon is in a very nice area of KC.) The technicians in this salon are clearly lacking training. They do not follow the usual steps. My nails were all cracking and breaking off within 3 days. I have been using dip polish for over 5 years and have never had issues like this. My manicures usually last 4-6 weeks before I have to take them off only because my nails have grown out too much. read more

I'm a nail snob. I have my nail license and to say that I'm picky about who does my nails and HOW they are done would be an understatement. I was excited to see a new spot open up two minutes from my house because our options around here are less than desirable in my opinion (if you knew about safety and sanitation guidelines...you wouldn't go to the other places either). First thing I noticed is the place is CLEAN. Second thing I noticed...pedicure tub liners. I was sold right then and there. Kevin gave me a fantastic and relaxing pedicure. He was super friendly and chatty...but not TOO chatty if you know what I mean. It was a fantastic experience at a fair price and I will definitely be back. It's sad when places just decline so much that you can't sit back and not say anything. I first visited Red polish in the summer 2018. Today was the worse mani pedi I ever got. My toenails were cut so short it hurts to walk. I told Cheri numerous times not to cut them short. My big toe hit the top of the gel lamp and messed up the polish. Cheri said it was fine. 1 hour 15 minutes later and a bill for $92. I felt sorry for her and gave her a $20 tip. I will never go back to the RedPolish in Lenexa. You lost a good customer. I have been very unhappy with the customer service and my nails for months. I just thought I was being too critical, and told myself next time will be better. All the employees seem to hate what they do... It shows really bad now. Covid can't be blamed for everything. Find another job if you are unhappy. I am extremely unhappy . Very hit or miss nail salon. First let me say there are several excellent nail techs here. Kevin is great. He will make yiur nails look more beautiful than you thought possible. Otherwise I prefer the women. Customer service is often blasé. I have made appointments with certain techs but they were not free at my reserved time (working with others) so the owner gave me someone else or said I had to wait. Sometimes Kevin gets an attitude that makes me uncomfortable. My friends all go here and have no complaints though. read more
