I was overwhelmed with old furniture and junk in my garage that has accumulated over the years. It was a mess to say the least. I did not even know where to start. I contacted Red's Hauling Service initially to remove some of the larger pieces: tv stand, refrigerator, mattress, etc. They were fast. I was able to set up an appointment within a week's timeframe. Red arrived with his crew. He personally managed the project. He was professional, smart, knowledgeable, and kind. He definitely saw the garage was a disaster and I didn't know what to do. It was short notice and I called another service and was quoted a more expensive price & was told he wouldn't be able to remove it until the next day. I found this removal service and called. He was friendly, took the time to ask where I was, what the object was, and quoted me a cheaper price. His employee showed up, and I helped him get the mattress & box spring out. I called on a Friday, and the next morning two taciturn men came to my apartment during the appointed time range, picked up our broken furniture, and walked out the door with it in exchange for a fistful of cash. It is the easiest imaginable way to get rid of clutter. They didn't call before showing up (which they were supposed to do) and it was a little more expensive than I would have liked, but as between reliable and cheap -- I will pick reliable. read more

Thanks Yelpers for leading me to Red's! This is about as good as it gets. Seriously. I emailed and received a quick reply on a quote when I sent a picture. I had construction debris that the various contractors never took with them and left me holding the bag(s). Literally. Red called me and said I will be there in the morning - his team of locusts showed up and poof! it all disappeared. The cost was on par with others that quoted the job. Red's was great to work with! I was trying desperately to find someone cheaper (and easier to communicate with) than the people my HOA works with, and I found Red's on Yelp. I only needed a queen mattress picked up, and the other guys were charging $120 (plus I had to personally plastic wrap the whole mattress). I saw all of the good reviews, gave them a call, and they said they could pick up within 30 minutes for $80 (and no need for plastic wrap)! I received 3 calls to keep me informed of their timing (even received a 10-minute warning). They picked up the mattress (NOTE: everyone was wearing masks for COVID safety), I paid via credit card (with a quick confirmation email), and we were all on our way! We made an appointment on Wednesday for a Friday pickup. They came and attempted to charge my wife Janis $300 to haul away four Ikea bookcase modules and two pantry cabinets. About 30 minutes work total. I came home and "discussed" the price. They lowered it to $225 on the spot. So why was it $300 to begin with? I don't trust them and I won't call them again. We've used other hauling services at a much lower price and without that feeling of being ripped off. Update 8/24/2017 I did not threaten a bad review. I was appalled that they tried to take advantage of my wife this way. At no time did I threaten to write a bad review in order to receive a discount. Be wary of these people. read more

Red flat out kicks butt. After a couple weeks of moving into our new home, we had a garage full of both moving junk and junk the previous owners left behind. I had no prior experience with junk removal, so I called 1800-got-junk as it was the only place I knew. What a mistake. They were "trying" to get my on the schedule for the following week. I have used Craig's List several times to find contractors to haul away construction debris from a home remodeling project I am working on. I have had issues every time. I searched Yelp and found Red's. I called them and they immediately came out to give me an estimate which was very fair. They brought a large crew and plowed through the rubble and cleaned out a 20x20 garage full to the brim with debris. I asked them to take a few extra very heavy pieces of concrete scrap and they did so for a nominal charge. Very nice guys, professional, fair. I would hire them again in a minute! read more

I wanted to get rid of my 27" Sony Trinitron console TV after it died of old age (15 years!). I did some research on internet on how to do it and decided to drop it off at a Best Buy store. Unfortunately I experienced a bad back problem and gave up the idea. I tried internet again and this time I found about Red's and saw the wonderful reviews. I called them on a holiday,described the job and the fact that our apartment was on a high floor with elevator service. Red(?) immediately gave a quote on the phone ($50) which was what I had estimated as a reasonable fee. I was told that they would be at the apartment in 30 minutes. I received the call I had asked them to place when they were 5 minutes away so I could be on the alley to meet them, after 20 minutes. They completed the job under 5 minutes. The service was excellent. It is so nice to find a dependable service company nowadays and I appreciate Yelp helping us to find them! I has first called the 1-800-JUNK place but they couldn't take my same or next-day request. So I found these guys and I had a great experience. They picked up my couch the same day, came when they said they would, and were very polite. Two teens boys moved my old couch and I got the impression it was their family sitting in the truck. They had just come from soccer or something, so they accommodated my same day request even on their day off! (I felt a little bad when I figured that one out!). Very reasonable price - $100 for removing my couch from a 3rd floor walkup. I never know what to tip for these things, but I gave them $20. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because they got a couple marks on the walls on their way down. It's a large couch and they were trying to be careful, no biggie. When I hire them again I'll just ask them to be more aware of knocking the walls. Go local and support this great team! read more

I thought I had posted this review but I was remiss. We called Reds to help empty out the back half of our basement after 60 years of accumulation. I never had such good service. They are amazing. They quoted me a very reasonable price and they were in and out in less than one hour. They also cleaned up after themselves. They are all polite and work like a fine tuned machine.
