A lot better than other places I looked into. I'm so happy I found them because I live on the 2nd floor and it's hard to carry heavy things downstairs. Some places I spoke with quoted a high $ amount but Red was able to get his guys out within the hour and I was charged less than half those quotes. Can NOT say enough good things about Red's. I found them via Yelp, and the stellar reviews absolutely hold up. I simply needed a box spring hauled away, and felt terrible that it was at the start of the shelter-in-place ordinance amidst Covid-19 (horrible timing, as I had bought a new bed two weeks prior to Chicago's social response to the pandemic. Eek!). However, Red's responded to my inquiry immediately, and within an hour two movers showed up. They were friendly, respectful, and followed all of the appropriate Covid-19 protocols; stayed at a distance greater than six feet, and even asked if they could wash their hands after hauling the box spring out of my apartment. We were getting ready to move in 3 days and while we had all the moving logistics worked out the one remaining item was an old large couch that had been sitting on the back porch of our 2nd floor walk-up for months. I was looking around for some way to dispose of it, It was too heavy for my girlfriend and I to carry downstairs and haul out to the alley and hope someone would come and take a very beat up couch . When I had my new couch delivered, I was super frustrated that I had no way of getting rid of my old, monstrous sleeper sofa that was destined for the dump. The previous positive reviews are accurate. I was looking for a way to get rid of my old grill. I emailed a picture with my location and asked for an estimate at 6pm. I received a response by the time I woke up, (the cost was 50% less than another estimate I received), told them I wanted to proceed and gave them my address and contact info. He came to give an estimate in Wilmette and I was surprised he brought 2 trucks, he was ready to GO. His initial estimate was right in line with what I had hoped for and much less than the competition, I agreed to go ahead RIGHT THEN and let him do the job.
