This is just the most pleasant restaurant in terms of ambience, menu and waitstaff in the entire villages. Can't say enough about staff and hostesses. They are the finest young people. What a huge disappointment! My Shrimp Scampi was not Shrimp Scampi. It was linguine in a brown flavorless broth. No butter, no garlic. Our Server never checked back so I was unable to address my concerns. I ate the shrimp and paid the $26 but will think twice about dining there again! read more

We had an incredible evening with the family here! It was probably the best restaurant experience during our visit to The Villages. Everything from the food to the ambiance, and especially the service, was top-notch. Our server, Dylon, was amazing. He was prompt, polite, and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The recommendations he made were great. We were a party of 6. Started off with the Arancini and the Calamari as appetizers, and the complimentary bread. Both were tasty. For entrees, we had the Wedge Salad with Shrimp, the Cod, a couple of Antipasto salads with blackened shrimp, a blackened chicken pasta dish (special request as it wasn't on the menu and it was accommodated), and the star of the night, the Halibut special which was easily one of the top 3 I've ever eaten. We closed out the evening with a Florida Orange Cake, the Apple Caramel Cheesecake, and the Lemon Cake which were all very, very good! At the end of the evening, Felipe, the manager came by to thank us and we ended up having a great conversation with him. We highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. read more

We always have a great meal at Red Sauce. We were there for the light show in the square, so the place was packed. Luckily they had plenty of servers working and they were hustling. The chef, Melissa, prepared very tasty and fresh salads. The Caesar salad dressing was quite flavorful and yet not heavy. The blackened chicken on top was seasoned just right. My wife had a different salad which she enjoyed as well. The salmon was tender and cooked to the idea texture. Our server was Kenny. He was as professional as we have ever experienced. He made menu and off menu recommendations that fit our exactly fit our criteria. The atmosphere is calm and the furnishings are well appointed. My friend and I had lunch here before attending a show. This is definitely a fine dining restaurant with delightful ambience. We ordered the Dinner for Two special and were not disappointed. The calamari was cooked to perfection and delicious. I ordered the Pork Osso Buco with risotto and vegetable medley. Perfection! My friend ordered the Shrimp Scampi and said it was very good. It was another nice restaurant in the villages. The food was good. Everybody enjoyed the meal. I can't seem to remember what I had enjoyed it to give five stars. OK now remember, I think had Fish and my wife had a different meal, but of course I can't remember that one either. I do remember her saying that Romeo was good which doesn't happen often now get to the entertainment in the restaurant. I forgot the singers name, but he was great. We stopped in for an appy and drinks. We shared the chicken skewers and they were a fabulous! We were at the outside bar and we could hear music from the restaurant across the street. When the music stopped at the restaurant we could hear town square's music. Perfect location, not too loud and very comfortable. The service is always friendly and makes you want to come back. This place is amazing!! The entire staff is so nice, friendly and helpful. From the greeters at the door to the waiter, to the kitchen staff and the owner!! We made reservations to celebrate our friends' signing their lease on a 1 year rental and deciding to build in The Villages, and they recognized that we were first timers to the restaurant when we showed up. We were already having a great time, when Sal the owner came by to say hi and welcome us as first timers. You can tell by the attention to detail and the interactions with the customers and staff that this place is not a job to him, but a passion! We each got something different, and everything was delicious! The steak special mentioned that it was "Cooked to perfection", and they were right!! It's not just fluff, they mean what they say. Came here hangry and frustrated with another restaurant. We were sat and greeted immediately. Our service from Boris was SUPERB to say the least. He made sure our food came out quickly, our drinks were always full, and we were nothing less than satisfied. The food was great as well! Our waiter was friendly, but our meal was disappointing. At his suggestion, the 2 men had the bolognese. There was very little meat. When they asked for more sauce, it arrived cold. The wedge salad was huge pieces of lettuce, mostly core, that were difficult to eat and lacked sufficient toppings. The haddock's pistachio crust was overwhelmed with pepper! Four of us went to red sauce for the Mother's Day brunch. We had a 130 reservation, we're promptly seated at 1:30 received our drink order and then were told by the waiter that we had 18 minutes to get all of our food as they were going to break all the trays down at 2 PM. We spent $35 a person to get bottom of the tray food be met with empty plates at a dessert table and not a full selection. I had to ask the staff to put the shrimp bowl back down as I wanted to grab some and they had taken it already. We were not aware that this was going to end at 2 PM as the ad said it was brunch all day. There should not be a 130 reservation slot when all you're going to be given is a half an hour to complete your meal. Very disappointing read more

For example, rigatoni with sauce poured on top. Rigatoni are usually stuffed and baked. Seems like a cheap way to get around the proper way of making Italian cuisine. My parents were raving about Red Sauce and decided to take me here when we I was visiting them in town. This was one of my favorite restaurants that we visited while I was there. The wait staff was super friendly and nice and accommodated any requests we had with ease. We ordered the garlic knots, Caesar salad, linguine in white clam sauce and chicken parmigiana. Everything we ordered was delicious and they were huge portions! We shared our meals but I would say that each dish is enough to feed 2, especially because they bring out warm bread to start. We had also tried the very dirty, cosmo and pomegranate martinis. All of the drinks were very good too. The food was fairly priced for an Italian restaurant and for the amount of food you receive. However, it is on the more expensive side for a dinner out. I would recommend checking out this restaurant if you're in the mood for hearty Italian food. Great food and staff! read more

Our food was delicious and the entertainment was fabulous. A stand up guy and an honest owner. I fully understand trying to get people to actually work in the modern age....it must be extremely difficult to get people to actually work and particularly difficult to run a restaurant.
