    French dip and fries
    Susan C.

I ate here for the first time today. Upon walking in, my first thought was I was underdressed because it was a bit fancy. But that was okay, I was treated like I was the most important customer there. All the staff were really great. For an appetizer, I got the mozzarella sticks. They were pretty good. They also brought out bread, which was nice and crusty and delicious. For the main course, I had the French dip. It was loaded with cheese, mushrooms, onions and of course, the beef. The beef was seasoned very nicely. And, the au jus perfectly complimented the French dip. It was also served with steak fries, which were very good. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here and will definitely visit them again. Next time I think I will try their pizza.

Some positives and some negatives from our experience here. The service was phenomenal - Nico is a true professional and was on top of everything the entire meal. The restaurant itself is very clean and has lot of seating, including booths and tables. The food however, was mediocre. I'm not sure if it's a lack of salt or what, but the eggplant parm was bland and wet, as was the special tuna salad on mixed greens. Additionally, the music in the background was cartoonish...it's like the Godfather soundtrack playing on repeat.

This is hands-down, the best Italian restaurant around the villages. Keep in mind that I'm Italian and I make the best Italian food. This is equal don't waste your time anywhere else and make a reservation. Good grief it was fantastic. Came for my birthday this time always looking for an excuse.

Arrived for an early weeknight dinner, special occasion. Seated without a wait. Restaurant packed when we left. Encourage you to try their cocktails. We did two specialty Martinis, Happy Hour every day 4-5PM. Next we chose Mussels in white sauce for an appetizer. It was wonderful. Our entrees included Tuscan stuffed Chicken, Eggplant Rolatini. The red sauce was awesome, completely different (in a better way) than most Italian restaurants. We finished with the Tartufa ice cream desert and two Cappuccinos. Ambiance was upscale yet comfortable. Wait staff absolutely fantastic. Portion size good, prices very reasonable. We will return.

The food exceptional and Sebastian was the best waiter ever, explained the menu completely. My first time visiting my friends at The Villages and an experience I will never forget. I asked for moscato got Chardonnay instead he immediately made it right! You cannot go wrong here with food, atmosphere, ambience! Loved it!

Very good service - Italian entrees are serviceable, nothing extra-ordinary. An OK option for Americanized Italian fare.

Is this a good restaurant to take my family to?

Altho I've never seen young children in the restaurant, I have dined alone and with groups of up to 20 and everytime the service has been great, the food and selection bountiful. Also there is usually modest yet tasteful entertainment.

The green peppers were so I ercooked and limp on top of the pizza cheese. It was like they were prepared for other dishes and just lumped (not spread) on top of the pizza. Our son in law had the trio which was lasagna, cheese ravioli & chicken parm. It had a creamy sauce and he said it was pretty good but he also got sick about an hour later. (? Not sure why) Our daughter had the pasta with Bolognese and did not like it at all. This trip was so disappointing. We had heard how good the food was here. We totally disagree and will not return. Didn't like the food, tried a few items that the Manager insisted on in an effort to appease is, without meat and my wife with Celiac. But we left feeling we would never try it again. This time here, now maybe new owners and changed menu, lunch was fabulous. We split 2 salmon dishes, a lunch and a dinner entree as well as sharing a salad with their great house dressing creamy garlic-Caesar. We prefer romaine over the spring mix and they were happy to accommodate. The waitress, Joelle was wonderful! The bread came out with a great infused oil for dipping. It would have been nice if it was brought out without asking for it, but maybe she thought I would not want it as my wife was the one with Celiac. Someone here knows how to create wonderful sauces, which cab make ALL the difference in making a restaurant make it or break it. The flavors of the balsamic glaze, salad dressings and the blackened tartare were excellent! We ate outside, watching people and enjoying the nice weather. We WILL be back!

We had the absolutely incredible Kye-ante serve us, She was attentive, funny, personable, and just plain awesome!!! Food was fantastic!!! The garlic knots were yummy; now I wish we had more!! Hubby ordered a medium Margherita pizza with chicken --/stole a piece and it was really good ( stated from a former NYer !!). Kye-ante recommended the spaghetti garlic and olive oil, to which I added chicken and broccoli--it was generously sized with lots of chicken and broccoli and yummy! My friend had the meatball parm sandwich which she enjoyed as well. In celebration of the restaurant's 7th anniversary, we received complimentary appetizers and desserts!! Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a long time. The fried mozzarella tasted like frozen, boxed appetizers and was extremely greasy. The Philly cheesesteak reminded us of Steak-Ums... oily, bland and lacking flavor. To make matters worse, the sandwich doesn't even include fries. I ordered the spinach ravioli special and it arrived absolutely drowning in a heavy garlic cream sauce. Honestly, it felt more like a low-end chain restaurant meal than something homemade or authentic. Even the Greek salad was disappointing. The feta had an odd texture and almost no flavor at all. On top of the food issues, sodas were $3.75 and there's an extra charge for paying by credit card. Overall, we left wondering why this place is so highly recommended. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere we would return to.
