I was caught off guard when my food arrived by robot. Cool concept. To be honest I wasn't impressed by the food. I would try different menu options next time. Overall it was a good time for money spent.

The bartender working was on the other side of the bar and mostly on her phone while there. Which we all thought was odd seeing as this is a tipped position. If you're given the opportunity to make tips, why would you choose to not be present? Honestly, we all had to flag the bartender down more than once. We eventually bowled while here and the lanes, balls, etc, were perfectly fine with the exception of dead spots on the lanes. You couldn't slide on your finish because you'd just come to a full stop. Also weird, they had the foul lights turned on...this was a Friday just after noon. Who is their target demographic on an early weekday afternoon? We had a number of food dishes as well, including pizzas, quesadillas, wings, etc. The quesadillas were pitiful. I honestly thought they were pita chips at first. The wings were fine. The Pizzas were pretty good. Another oddball observation, we were given almost the equivalent of punch bowls for salsa and ranch. Even more odd, we received not a single serving utensil for the food nor the sauces. All in all, not horrible but just not great. It'll honestly 100% depend on the reason you're there.

I recalled that the food was good and anywhere that has ski-ball is ok with me. I ordered Buster's Bacon Burger. It was loaded with barely cooked bacon that I pulled off - not at all appetizing. I ordered my burger medium-well, yes, always a crapshoot. It was burned to a crisp. I also opted for the gluten free bun. Hard as a rock. To our server's credit, she did have them redo the burger - the redo was much better but, unfortunately, still not a burger I'd come back for. The accompanying fries were nothing special. The overall assessment is "meh". The staff deserves a shoutout - they really did do what they could to salvage my meal. I was very impressed and appreciative. My husband ordered the fire grilled salmon. The piece of salmon wasn't large but was adequate. He liked the salmon but I thought it tasted a bit fishy. The rice pilaf was nothing but a scoop of plain rice. The green beans were full of steamed cherry tomatoes that he really enjoyed. His opinion: it was alright but I wouldn't order it again. We had a coupon for game play. We played a few games but decided to call it an early night. I bought the power card because I thought we'd bring our 4 year old grandson. I guess we'll have to wait a little while - There really wasn't much that he could play. The restaurant was nearly empty so diners were seated at high tops around the bar. Service was attentive and our server was particularly nice. Parking was easy. Although they do have gluten free buns (a $2.99 upcharge), there are very few GF items on the menu. The restaurant was clean including the restrooms. There is an extensive drink menu and a happy hour that looked worth trying out. I highly doubt we'll be back for food but since we still have the power card, we'll probably come by for happy hour and a few rounds of air hockey and of course some ski-ball!

The ufc game is cool, and all the games were working that we went to anyway. Have plenty of sanitation spots to wipe down games before using them and hand sanitizer for when you were done for the day. Would come back if in the area.

We visited Madison Bowling Center on June 9, 2025, and I'm honestly still frustrated. My neighbor and I brought our 6 kids hoping for a fun afternoon. Keep in mind, this establishment advertises "Kids Bowl Free" in the summer, but this place turned out to be anything but family-friendly. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed annoyed that we were even there. No greeting, no smiles--just unwelcoming and frankly rude attitudes. Our initial check-in process was less than pleasant thanks to the clerk at the register whom never greeted us, and truly lacked in customer service altogether. Simple requests for different shoe sizes seemed like we had all but ruined her day. When our lane malfunctioned (more than once), it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to help, and when someone finally did, they acted like we were bothering them. They showed no patience, empathy or understanding for children who were clearly just trying to have a good time. They prioritized their league participants as soon as they came in. In doing so, they actually turned our lane off, and cut off the screens mid bowl before our game was even over. The excuse was "our league players like things a certain way". In other words, they want the kids kicked out. This was actually at 4:45pm- 45 minutes before their advertised Kids Bowl Free ending time which is 5:30pm. It's obvious this establishment doesn't want to cater to families or younger bowlers. Quite a shame since we spent over $200 dollars in shoes, socks, food and drinks- there was zero effort to create a positive experience. I left feeling like we'd wasted our time and money. To top it off, just before we left we caught a few of the workers behind the counter huddled together gossiping about our group. Imagine how unprofessional you'd have to be to openly gossip about a couple of moms and their 6 children while we were still in the vicinity? Whether their intention was ill or not, it was a clear display of poor management, while also being highly inappropriate. Needless to say, we won't be back. Again, If you're a parent looking for a fun, welcoming place to take your kids--avoid Madison Bowling Center.
