LIGHTS OUT Twice they've put my party in a bay with a light out and we have to ask to be switched. The second time they wouldn't give us our full time even though we brought it to their attention right away. ALWAYS DIRTY The floor will sometimes have trash (see photo of mashed food and drink straws) and more than once the table isn't completely wiped. FOOD ALWAYS COLD I've ordered several menu items and they ALWAYS come out warm or cold. SERVICE Service is hit or miss depending on who you get. Sometimes we get someone very attentive and sometimes we'll get someone who says hi at the beginning and is only seen again when our time is up. KITCHEN AND BAR HOURS They've now told us that the kitchen and bar will close an hour before they close so if you book for an hour at the end of the night you won't have any food or alcoholic beverages. read more

Was very surprised when I paid higher than airport prices for a pitcher of beer. $30/pitcher and the pitcher only fills two and a half glasses (big " chiller" in the center of the pitcher). We had a September visit for my Dad's Birthday. Topgolf is always a great activity selection for me no matter if you know proper form or not. Just have fun. If you don't want to participate, the food and drinks are really good while you watch and vibe out to the music. The staff that we checked in with lacked personality and didn't seem like they wanted to be there. The staff assigned to our bay was wonderful and made up for it. We ordered a few shots, danced to the music and swung our little hearts out. My brother is the golfer in the family, but I gave him a run for his money. It isn't often that we all are together. We arrived at a nearly empty restaurant and waited about 15 minutes without any service to our table. Meanwhile, I noticed three tables that arrived after us received prompt attention. At least three waitresses saw us but walked past without helping, ignoring our presence. To sit someone and then overlook them while attending to later arrivals is, frankly, poor customer service. Frustrated, we left and went to another Cracker Barrel on the other side of town in Huntsville, where the experience was excellent! Decided today, a freezing cold day was the day to visit TopGolf with friends. We did enjoy ourselves but the service was absolutely horrific. Our food arrived, I had to go get plates, napkins, and straws. This is maybe my 7th or 8th facility. They are pretty consistent throughout. We had a blast playing here. Wish they had the TopTracer technology to track the ball. Instead you stare at the screen to wait and see whether the shot scored or not. Food and drinks were good here, too. Started with appetizers of nachos and chips with queso. Nachos are good, just wish there were more. The queso is very good. For dinner I had the grilled chicken sandwich that, again, was very good. The Huntsville Topgolf is a solid birdie. The food at Topgolf is usually better than expected and doesn't disappoint, and this location is no different. The Nachos surprised me with how un-nacho-like they were, looking more like deconstructed tacos laid out on chip discs. Despite their unusually hors d'oeuvre-esque shape, they tasted really good without being soggy from all the toppings. The Hot Honey Pizza had too much dry Italian seasoning on top but was decent for what you'd expect at a gamified driving range. Mac'n'cheese bites were, of course, good as well. Service was top notch and friendly. I'd never been to a fancy, 3-story Topgolf before so the atmosphere was pretty awesome. What safe & relaxing family fun! Top Golf Huntsville has pandemic control--you will feel as safe as your own living room. A casual setting with comfortable seating, dining, and sport. You don't have to golf--in fact it is better if you don't take it that seriously. Tip0-you don't have to play to have a good time. Just hang out with you family if you want to and there is still a good time to be had. Tip1--the third floor is the best to play from. Others are okay, but if you have a choice you want the third floor. Tip2--this is not a place for a little kiddo that can't stay seated and listen to you. You will spend all of your time making sure the kid is safe and happy. If you can put the kid in a stroller, trust them on a couch with something to do, or let someone hold them you are cooking with gas. Very not safe to let them roam, though! Tip3-look online and consider prices. Non-peak times are cheaper. Tip4-don't believe online pricing alone; bring your wallet. They have food, it is good, and to give you an idea for a party of 8 (two adjacent booths) with some light food, drink and two hours of play we were at $216 with tax//without tip. It is about as much as going to the movies and visiting concessions. Tip5-as you leave via elevator, you want off on floor TWO. That is the lobby (even though the elevator is traditional and the first floor has a star like it is the lobby). ProTip--you pay when you are done. They will bring you the bill just like a restaurant. When you arrive, stop by the lobby and tell them how many people you have with you. If you have six or less, you need one "booth." If you have more than six, you'll need more. Let them know if you need any special accommodations (left handed, etc.). When you find your assigned booth, an attendant will help you setup your game and explain things to you. It is time-based (by the hour). You can play 20 balls for each registered person then start a new game. We played two and a half games in two hours. They will ask you for a drink order and they will leave you a menu. You don't have to drink or eat, but this is how they make some of their money. The food is tasty, but it is a little expensive for what it is. It is about convenience. The best--you can relax and enjoy watching everyone take turns playing as you talk with your family or friends. It is easy to skip turns if you need or want, and you can let someone else in your group not on the playlist play for you if you want to (cost cutting tip if you want to play as a team--still six people per booth though). Bae is a golf pro so why we came here on our mini vacation is beyond me. I ended up hitting 100+ balls and I know I'll be sore in the morning. Bae tried to fix my form the whole time and when I listened I hit far. I couldn't get past the blue targets. I mostly hit the yellow. We had two pitchers of beer, good service and nice servers. It was our first time at TopGolf! We originally found out about TopGolf on a visit to TX, but never got the chance to go. We went on a Tuesday where everything is half-off! We played for 2 hours, which was enough for us to eat all of our food and play 2 games. The food was great! It's hard to enjoy it warm when you're playing at the same time. Definitely try the sliders and the macaroni bites. Sliders were nice and saucy, and the macaroni bites were beautifully fried and come with 2 sauces. The service was great! My first time at a Top Golf and it definitely will not be my last! Honestly I was a little nervous to come here as I've never really played golf before. My friend has been here several times and tried to give me some advice on how to swing and play. I took some of the advice, but ultimately ended up doing my own thing. Unfortunately I did not score that well, but I had fun and built up some confidence. I did really love the set up of Top Golf as there were several areas to have meetings, a swag store, a bar/restaurant at the entrance, and three floors for playing. My friend and I ended up playing on the second floor and had a great view. I really liked that everything was computerized. From setting up our game, to adding extra time, and to playing. With every swing the computer knew who was playing and where our balls went. I loved being able to see this entire process and have fun at the same time! Our waitress was super nice and made us feel welcome! We ended up getting the pineapple golf bag, which was super refreshing and not too strong! Although it was warm outside and rained a little bit, the fans by our table kept us cool and it was just overall a great time!! I will so be back! read more

What a cool experience! I had thought Top Golf was like an Edwin Watts golf store; not a driving range. I had no idea. Had a blast playing through some of the games. I haven't picked up clubs in almost 25 years, so it took me a bit to get used to it. The check-in staff were a bit clumsy* and didn't enter my info correctly, despite my spelling everything out, although I found out I could edit it once I got to our assigned area. A few balls in, our server greeted us and apologized for the delay, as she said she was working two 6+ person parties also*. That said, we're we're there about 45 minutes after opening, so there wasn't a lot of people in general. Nonetheless, we ordered a burger, drink, and pretzel bites. All the food was good, I'd say a step above your average movie theatre food. It was hot as blazes even at 11ish, but never managed to get the refill I was promised. Just one more reason, I never get soft drinks in a restaurant anymore. Otherwise, I saw our server a couple of times during the visit. I even saw her wiping down the area next to ours with disinfectant, which was a positive. I'll definitely be back, although not sure which one. It was a cool experience and a lot of fun. If I didn't beat the others in my group, maybe I wouldn't say that. Many people were there just enjoying the vibe and watching the college football on their multiple large screens. Cheese fries are good. For each round of golf/bay I think it's $45 per hour 5-6 persons. Not sure though! This place is family friendly and fun for all ages. Topgolf is fun! Our boss took our group of 6 (including himself) for a topgolf outing on May 3rd. We had a great time! This would be a fun outing for anyone, not just golfers and golf enthusiasts. And, with the variety of games available you can select a game to match your skill level (however, all need to agree and play the same game). For whatever reason our $5 membership cards were free. They offer a military discount (all the guys are former military except me). The slowest part (and the reason for no 5th star) is the check in process which felt like it took forever but probably took ~20 minutes. You give your name, email, etc. and receive your membership card. We played the (IMHO) easiest version of TG - where putting the ball in any area of the target trampolines (my words) gets you points. This was one of our few recent beautiful days and they had fans running in each of the bays. I brought my driver, 4 hybrid and 6 iron. They provide clubs even for the lefty in our group. It was fun to see exactly where your ball landed in the trampoline target. Better than the golf is their wings! Man oh man, they were delicious! The drumettes (sp?) were the best I'd had in a while - they were super crispy with a yummy, crunchy cornmeal crust. They were served with four dipping sauces, and I ate them naked. So good. We also shared carrots/celery and dip and pretzel rounds with beer battered dip. All were good! We played for 1.5 hours and that was a little short for this group of newbies. I think that time of day (1:30ish on a weekday) the cost for a bay is 35.00 an hour. Also, you get a $10.00 off coupon via email after you visit. Low points: I wiffed one that drippled right over the edge; and hit one while taking a practice swing, badly - very badly. Also, I choked on the last ball or I could have beaten our Team Lead. :-/ Also, the red line you are supposed to stay behind is kinda close to the mats, IMHO, because some of these bigger guys with long drivers felt dangerously close to our high top table. I anticipated the bays to be divided by walls, they were not (at least on the 2nd floor, I didn't explore around the other floors) and did not see any comfy sofas like I've read about, so maybe that varies by floor. I had a glass of wine in the bar (2nd floor - no happy hour for wine) afterwards and was surprised that golf was not playing on the majority of TVs. Only 1 TV actually had golf playing and it was the farthest TV in the back. I asked the bartender if she could change the channel to golf and she said she would get the manager to do it. We had a wonderful family afternoon at Topgolf while visiting Huntsville. We loved that we were able to have an 8-person bay that had couches which allowed our mother who is elderly and not able to walk sit and enjoy while her kids and grandkids played. What a great addition to Huntsville! There is still a lot that needs to be done in this area, but this was the perfect addition for the Huntsville casual hang out scene. There aren't a ton of places to go hang out, especially with activities, and this place combines both. For our visit, we were greeted quickly and were seated shortly after. Sometimes there might be a wait, but usually you can go to the bar or get a table and snack while you wait. We've visited one on these in Atlanta and one in Tampa and everything is consistent with the brand! If you want to bring your own clubs, you can, or you can borrow some of theirs. They have a variety. Once you are seated you will have a server that can help you with drinks and food as well! There are multiple games you can play, and you can play with lots of friends, so that helps make things fun too! They have 4 levels which is fun, as you can shoot from different heights. We decided to stop in for a couple of appetizers and a quick game or two. It was a good experience overall. I have never played golf and I enjoyed this experience. The prices were not bad, but we did go at lunch time during the week and not on the weekend. One thing I will say is the staff was really friendly but they start your time as soon as you get to the table. It would be nice if they allowed you to order or at least informed you they were going to start your time immediately. But, it was fun and we will be going back :) read more

As part of my NFL Super Bowl protest I went to Top Golf and I had a blast. The service from the employees was fantastic and weather was very warm for early February. I ordered the queso and chips and it was very good. I enjoyed hitting balls, but noticed the condition of the drivers was poor, probably from heavy use. I wish I just could just hit golf balls, without selecting a game. I really like Top Golf, but it is very pricey even with the 50% discount. Had a great girls nite out at TopGolf in Hsv. Absolutely ZERO golfing experience, we still managed to enjoy ourselves, score some good (and bad) shots, and just have fun. We yelled and screamed and cheered each other on and no one seemed to mind. Music in the background was a nice mix and good We weren't given 100% clear instructions, but I believe this is how it works: recommended for us beginners, we rented a bay for an hour. 430-530p it was $35. Up to 6people can hit unlimited balls from your bay (we had 4people) To keep up w ur score you also have to buy a (one time) $5membership card and you swipe it to have it acknowledge you on that bay Like bowling, the machine and field somehow keep up with where your balls land and subsequently your score. Like bowling you have a limited number of balls per game (20). But if you finish hitting 20 and still are under your hour, you simply RESTART another game, and more balls will follow. (We didn't know this, added more time, "ran out of balls", and then just sat watching the timer count down). Unlike bowling you don't HAVE to go in exact order. Just click your name on the screen and you can go back to back to back. Or skip several turns and comeback to your turn and pick up your score. That's great if you're eating or need to run to the restroom. No "making others wait" nor "lots of clicking to go past a name" Like bowling. If you land in a scoring "hole", if on your next turn you land in a hole, your points double: sorta like the premise of a spare in bowling We 4 newbies took about an hour 5min to go one round. And that's with time spent trying to determine whose turn it was before we realized it really didn't matter. Also time trying to decide which clubs to use. And time posing for pictures and such. I'd suggest start w an hour. And when u get down to last 7-8min, decide if you want to add extra time in 15min increments We were on the 3rd floor, bay 309 (in the middle and near the bar). Nice breeze, but still Hsv-warm, we got a random 12min rain shower (and rainbow), but we didn't get wet by being under the cover There are three levels of hitting And a net that's about ?4' stretches from the edge (with another 2' before the net) so no real fear of falling None of us have an obvious fear of heights but I think we still felt safe Beer (large) $7.50 on tap. There are multiple games you can play and the easiest game is to earn point for any hole your ball goes in.
