Fried chicken dinner. You get 5 nice corn tortillas with it.

Boonville is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and it's an awesome little town. We were passing through when the hungries hit. Boy did we luck into a great place. It says burgers and sandwiches on the sign, but they have some of the best fried chicken I've ever had anywhere. They use a corn flower batter on their chicken and fish and both are awesome. So tender and moist. Their menu is mostly Mexican food besides the burgers and I can't say anything on it other than the beans and rice that came with our meal was also delicious. This is a one stop has it all. Besides the restaurant with inside and outside dining, there is a nice convenience store and fuel for your wheels too. The service was great. So if you're going from nowhere to nowhere on CA-128 through Boonville, stop for some fabulous chicken.

So good! What a treat at a little cafe that looks like an ordinary diner. Food was prepared perfectly and ingredients were tasty and fresh. Nice crispy bacon and fluffy doughnuts.

Little roadside diner, excellent Mexican food. We had the Chile Relleno and the chicken enchiladas plate. Both were outstanding.

However, we chose to sit in the outdoor area near the entrance. I ordered an Iced Horchata Latte with an extra shot of espresso - delicious, extra shot definitely needed! For food, I chose the Goat Cheese and Tomato Omelette, which was pretty tasty. However, everything it came with was extremely mediocre. The "toast" was barely buttered sliced bread, and the potatoes came as massive wedges that didn't have much flavor. Service was friendly and decently quick!

My partner and I are camping at Hendy Woods and we originally stopped by for a quick coffee. We saw them making these huge breakfast burritos in the kitchen and they looked SO good that we made a mental note to stop by again before we left the next day. I am so happy we did because it was DELICIOUS - hot, fresh ingredients, gooey cheese, toasted tortilla, spicy flavorful salsa on the side. Burrito heaven. The items behind the glass at the deli counter looked amazing as well. I saw tres leches, giant quesadillas, hand pies, cookies, carrot cake - yummm. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly. I recommend this little deli to anyone looking for a quick bite of breakfast or lunch :)

It was a good experience, with good food and OK service. There is a dedicated lot next to the stand alone building, so parking was easy. The open sign was on, but the ambiance appeared sleepy, so guessing that it gets a lot busier later in the day. There were two people working, and once we got the front-of-house's attention, were seated at a comfortable table for 4. Complementary chips and salsa were provided Reviews and self-proclamations clearly state that birria (beef) was worth getting, so my wife got the Quesadilla Birria ($13.99), and her mom got the Camarones al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce $19.99). The menudo wasn't available, so I got the Pozole ($15.75) instead. They have cans and bottles of soda and beer, with a can of Coke being $2.50. Everything was good. The quesadilla was more like a grilled burrito (or chimichanga), and had been nicely crisped. My wife really enjoyed it. The shrimp plate came with rice and beans, which were OK, and choice of flour or corn tortilla (average). The large prawns were nicely cooked with a flavorful sauce. My pozole had good flavor without too much fat (the excess had obviously been skimmed) and was quite hot, though I wish it had more hominy and pork. My wife later found out that the meat used here is butchered on-site and that care is taken to remove excess fat. It really shows: all the meat dishes were not greasy and there wasn't the pools of fat that often accompany hastily prepared dishes. It was appreciated. Clover is the payment processor and there is a 3% fee for using a credit card.

And although only one of the two heat lamps were working - it was still worth being cold! We loved the little downtown surrounding area - walkable, fun different shops to explore. Food was absolutely delicious. We were ALL happy with our respective meals. And we even had to get some pastries to go as they looked way too good to pass on. My groups faves: biscuits and gravy, Huevos Rancheros and omelets; We took home cookies and a Danish to go as well!! Service was fast, fun and friendly. Our waiter was extremely kind and patient with my Aunt that was super indecisive and had a ton of questions. He kept things light and gently teased her - and got all of our orders exactly right. Had a great lunch after an 18-hour fast. Started with a cappuccino, warm, comforting. So many choices to choose from their extensive menu. While most everyone was having brunch, I chose to get a cup of their soup of the day. Served with homemade wheat toast from the bakery. Thai green curry soup was delicious. I also had the Caesar salad with chicken. You can tell a great Caesar by the quality of the dressing. It was thick and creamy and coats each piece of Romaine lettuce nicely. I have no doubt the croutons were homemade. Love places that give lemon wedges with the salad. Everything I ate was delicious. The service from the staff was also excellent. I have been staying away from sweets since January so skipped the baked goods altogether. I will come back next time I'm in town.
