We stopped in with about four of us to eat brunch one day. They were only serving their lunch menu and the lovely lady who I chatted with on the phone prior offered to service the Sunday brunch menu. It's a very civil menu, but it's absolutely delicious. We were early in the day around noon so no one was really there. I ordered the chowder and one of the girls wanted to split an egg sandwich with the tater tots so we did that and the other loved her egg and ham breakfast. She says that she has all the potatoes cut fresh, including the hashbrowns. Now I did order a steak from there a few days later and was not very happy. Our family had a Rehearsal Dinner here, everything from planning, staff and the Food and Drinks were on point. We had about 35 people, Gelje, the owner was easy to work with and let us go in prior to our event, which was on the patio, and decorate however we liked. Kelsey, the waitress and support staff did an excellent job taking care of our family and friends. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers and dinner. I would recommend this restaurant. read more

We stumbled upon this place on the way to Mendocino. Honestly the best garlic fries and coconut shrimp I've ever had! Hubby had the midnight burger and he said it was bomb too! Onion soup was good as well but the server said they are known for their clam chowder. Service was good and fast! We will come back next time! read more

I'm working here from out of town. Looked at the website and the Rueben sandwich looked nice. What I got was basically a bread and sauerkraut sandwich. There was two little scrawny pieces of meat on there, and you can't even taste it past the bread and the sauerkraut. Very disappointing. read more

The Irish spring rolls were hearty. The loaded potato soup was good, but puréed which surprised me. The Hubbs got the French onion - and the bowl was really too much! It was very loaded with onions. Food quality + good service = Stopped in for a late lunch while traveling from The Bay Area up to Fort Bragg. We had our dog with us so Yelped restaurants that allowed dogs and found this gem. We sat in the large, covered patio area and received prompt service by Allison. Cheerful and friendly, she brought out several boards to show us the specials and the draft beer offerings. Three of us had the Pulled Pork Sandwich on a delightfully soft pretzel bun garnished with some coleslaw and a slice of tomato. The other person ordered a BLT on grilled sourdough. The French fries are very good as is the fresh side salad with citrus vinaigrette. You can't go wrong with either choice, or so what I did and get smaller portions of both. Inside is typical bar seating and lots of tables. Outside is a large covered patio which is dog-friendly. If you're near Cloverdale, you should stop in and check out this great restaurant! read more

Don't trust yelp reviews. We came to Sonoma on vacation and were looking something not to far away that was local and had good food for dinner. I ordered the Irish spring rolls and my mom ordered the pulled pork sandwich. We also ordered 2 carnitas tacos to share. Ok the burger was blah just mediocre. The Irish spring rolls were disgusting. It's was mush rolled in an egg roll wrapper just complete trash. The carnitas tacos were not Carnitas. It was just mushy pulled pork. It also had a gross amount of fat. I couldn't force myself to even take one bite. The pulled pork sandwich was also awful. When we were leaving a server came to our table to ask if we wanted a to go box (we barley ate any food) and we said no and I think we offended him because he said what you didn't like it ? I put my head down feeling bad and my mother said uhhh it was alright. She lied ! It was all awful. I guess if you're local and you wanna come here and get drunk and you need food, it might be OK. The rolls were very blunt, and the mustard was very spicy. I did not like the combination, and needed some more flavors. The fried chicken was nice. The chicken was fresh, and nicely cooked. Husband and I were driving to the Mendocino area to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. Just an overnight stay. We decided to stop in Cloverdale for lunch and husband found the Railroad Station Bar and Grill on Yelp. We arrived on a weekday around 11:30 so there were only a couple of people at the bar. The bartender was also the hostess and waitress. We sat a table of our choosing. I had the BLT and husband ordered the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches included salad and fries. The prices are only a bit less than Bay Area prices but, boy, they give you a lot of food! Probably twice as much! We both enjoyed our meals and polished them off. The salad probably could have been a bit fresher but not a deal breaker for me. There was a nice buttery taste to the bread of my BLT. The bartender/waitress was super friendly. The place seems to be a regular hangout for locals as we heard the bartender call many of the patrons by their first name. The place isn't super fancy but comfortable. And there was a big screen TV playing a repeat of a basketball game from ESPN, but not distracting. I would return here to try other dishes if I ever drive back this way. read more

Found this cool place to grab a meal on a trip through the area. I was looking for some good food, a cold drink and a comfortable environment. They are all here. The place was a not to busy and the bar was open, so I grabbed a seat there, the bartender was my server as well and very kind and professional. After a few minutes on the menu, I settled on the Bacon and Blue Cheese Mac and Cheese and the Fish Tacos, the mac and cheese was really good, creamy rich and flavorful and if you like bacon and blue cheese you will most likely dig this dish. Its also enough the split or share with someone. The Beer batter Fish tacos were also very good, double corn tortillas with nice chunks of golden brown batter deep fried fish, fresh pico, lettuce and tomato with lemon wedges and a spicy crema. Both dishes hit the spot on the night of my visit. A cold local draft to round it out, right on time. Driving through to fort Bragg we decided to stop in for dinner. The beer was ice cold and the burgers were on point. The server was very prompt and food came out hot and quick. They have outdoor seating, although it was super hot out and there were hardly any people inside when we arrived mid-afternoon, so we opted for an inside table. They have lots of yummy drink and food options. I got the stuffed tomato sandwich, since it was something different that I don't recall seeing on another menu. It was very tasty although the artichoke and spinach dip made it challenging to eat as an actual sandwich, I took off the top slices of bread and went in with fork and knife. Just one of the stops on a long adventure. I'll start by saying I love a good neighborhood bar if the service, food and ambiance meet my standards. I'm fortunate to have had a career where I had to entertain in many different settings. I read a review by someone who rated the Reuben and fries much less than desirable. I decided to try them anyway. Both were excellent- the corned beef was flavorful and melt in your mouth. The fries were the kind I like - made there and left with skin on. The only reason it didn't get a five star was because the fries were luke warm instead of hot, but they were delicious! I can't say enough about the service -Patient, Attentive and Friendly! What a great find! Everything about our experience here was unassuming yet perfect. The staff, service, and food...it was like walking into a living room full of friends and family. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the the calamari steak after we started with the asparagus soup and clam chowder. We met a few patrons and one of the locals made these exceptional chocolate chip peanut butter cookies she shared that I will will never forget.
