Salad with beets, dried cranberries, pecans, & goat cheese
    Kelly M.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]On a search of dog-friendly restaurants in Los Altos, this one came up. They have a nice patio area in the front of the place with pretty good amount of shade, and we had a very good lunch there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Water is supplied to the table, and I found an empty dog bowl to use to provide Zoey water. We were given the brunch menu on this Saturday afternoon, and I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, without the horseradish it usually comes with, and sweet potato fries as my side (for an extra $2.00). My husband had the BLT sandwich with regular fries as a side. We started with the salad featuring beets, dried cranberries, pecans, and goat cheese in a raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was quite refreshing. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. I believe both came on sourdough bread, and mine featured carmelized onions.

As the name suggests you can't find that many vegetarian option here. Aside from that this place is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can sit indoor or outdoor in front patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very spacious you don't hear the conversation of the table next to you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waites was efficient and knowledgeable except for the fact that she delivered white wine when we ordered Cabernet and said that it was a cab she later went back to the bartender and gave us the right one. Got funghi pizza, others order ribs, impossible meat burger and seasonal salad with chicken. They are what you expected from bar and grill eatery. Its great to have them in the neighborhood so you have a place to go

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has been beautifully remodeled![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio has these cute picnic tables good for medium sized groups or young kids![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were setting up the patio for a Wednesday afternoon beer event of some sort. Would be interesting to check it out on these warm late summer evenings! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The big umbrellas provided plenty of shade for many people to gather on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was so patient, friendly and casually attentive. She gave some good recommendations about our tacos. The shrimp tacos were delicious! I'd order them again! Especially on taco Wednesdays, where it is by one plate of tacos get another plate 50% off! I'm always looking for a sweet deal on great food! I think we found our go-to local meet up spot!

We come by this plaza all the time Ann's have been meaning to check this place out. We ordered the chicken and waffle. The spicy syrup was really good for the chicken but not sure if it goes with the waffle. The chicken perfectly cooked to crispy but the portion was skimpy. The waffle was light and crispy . Lucy's avocado with shrimp salad. The avocado was nicely grilled. I appreciate the attention to detail. The shrimp salad was tasty but overall the portion was very skimpy for the price. Candied bacon wax as expected. Sweet and savory.

Came here several times for brunch, happy hour and dinner, and every time was consistently great. Food is fresh and uses good quality ingredients, portions are large. Nightly happy hour M-F from 2:30-6pm is a great deal with lots of options. Every night they also have a dinner special like Tuesday night $10 for a burger and fries and $5 draught beers all night. Full bar, around 20 beers on tap including their own beers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice local spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here with a friend and had a good time. Service was friendly, they have indoor/outdoor seating and my salad was fresh. Everything was good, including the interior and exterior space.

We stopped by for a late lunch as we were in the area. Staff is friendly and we got seated and served quickly. Free popcorn was a nice touch. We got 2 sodas and 2 burgers. Burgers were okay - a little bland and cooked more on the well done side. Menu is classic bar type food plus a few higher end entrees like salmon. Would come here for an appetizer and drink but $60 for 2 sodas and 2 burgers was a little steep.

This is my second time at this restaurant and I still think the place is great. There's ample parking and it's located in the Rancho Shopping Center in Los Altos. I popped in on a Saturday and was immediately greeted and seated right away. The people are very nice and the seating is really comfortable. They also have some areas of the dining that slightly dimmed and the other part is well lit. The waiter was very attentive and frequently checked up on me throughout my meal and was very nice. He recommended the chicken waffles since it was brunch and man it didn't disappoint. Hands down probably the best chicken waffles give ever had. They have a honey glaze on the chicken that has a little kick to it, but pairs well with butter and syrup if you put it all on the waffle. I'm coming back with my family and highly recommend this restaurant. Also they do offer military discounts for vets and armed forces.

Food was so delicious! my toddler ate so much we were shocked! Service was great! Everyone was so nice and helpful! I would def go back'! p.s only deducted 1 star as my husband's corned beef only had few meat. He said it was delicious but there was more brussels sprouts.

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good. I feel like this was the first time where I understood the price even the the quantity is no where close to be desired. One shrimp is like $6 and I was like whoah. Service is definitely more laid back and it's overall just like a more chill atmosphere. I'm fortunate to work nearby so I'll definitely visit this place a few times after work to blow off some steam... And the drinks! Yes they are good! They are also quite strong! Would come back again but also if you're conscious of budget then I'm not sure if you'll find the same value proposition.

It came out quickly, crisp, and as cold as it gets. I also tried a shrimp dish from the "Steamed" section, and it was delicious. Their chicken was also larger than I expected, making it a good bang for your buck, especially if you plan on grabbing a few drinks. Excited to come back and try more of their cocktails!

However, a staff member named Viri intervened and insisted we be seated at a different table. When I requested a different location, I was told it was unavailable due to other reservations. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I am familiar with how reservation systems function; I noted that the restaurant remained largely empty during our visit. At one point, we were even asked to vacate a table we had sat down at before eventually being placed near the hostess station. I am bringing this to your attention because I felt our treatment was inconsistent with standard hospitality. The restaurant was very pretty, with a sleek and floral theme. Also, I noticed some herby smell which was pleasant so extra hats off to that detail. I placed a reservation of 5 at 7:45 pm on a Friday night with me and my family, and we had no issues getting to our table. We were a bit late, however staff made sure that we get seated in no time. Once we got sat down, we got our menus and took some time to decide what to order. Our amazing friend and waitress Elizabeth made sure to give us time to thoroughly look through the menu and decide on what we were going to eat. She was very friendly and caring, and was so excited to take our order, which elevated her experience. Her suggestions were perfect for our family. We ordered the Mixto Clásico ceviche, 2 orders of truffle mac and cheese, Arroz Con Mariscos, Pollo A La Brasa (Half chicken), Beef Anticuchero Roll, and Lengua a La Parilla. In five minutes, the staff already brought the ceviche, which included calamari, fish, veggies, and the taro chips. It was refreshing and citrusy. After we finished that , then another 3 minutes goes by, and everything arrived. I was so shocked on how fast they serve especially because of how busy they were. All the dishes were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The mac was so creamy, cheesy, and delectable especially because of the truffles. The pollo a la brasa was cooked nice and tender, served with fries, and that yellow sauce was addicting, literally ON CRACK. The lengua was great, the mashed potatoes along with the lengua, shrimp, and spicy sauce gave it texture and flavor. The nikkei beef antichchuero roll I was surprised with. Sushi in a Peruvian restaurant? However, I did not expect to be one of the best and interesting rolls I have tried ever. The arroz con mariscos was my favorite by far. It really reminds me of a Spanish paella, with a seafood galore presented with a bed of rice and veggies. It was very filling and delicious. Of course, we couldn't just end there, we obviously had to go for dessert. We chose the Tres Leches cake, and it was presented with chocolate, caramel, and strawberry sauce which was sweet and smooth. Paired with the cake, it was so good and a genius combination. In the end, when leaving, our staff asked us if we needed any extra help with anything before we left, which was a very kind gesture. When we left, the staff kindly greeted us a warm goodbye, and thanked Elizabeth especially for helping us order these great assortments of dishes. In the end, we left with our stomachs full of food and great memories. I am already looking forward to my next visit here, and please, give this Peruvian spot a try, because you will never go back to any other ones besides this spot.

There are five booths for 4 people, two tables for six, three tall tables for two, one tall table for four, and some tables for outdoor dining. The restaurant has easy listening music. It's a good place for a relaxing meal during your day. The menu is attached, with lunch specials. There is also a parking lot located behind the restaurant and available street parking in front. Unfortunately, we left regretting that decision. From the start, the experience felt unwelcoming when we were seated with our 3-year-old daughter. There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.

The quality and presentation do not match the price tag. Also, "broma" means "joke/prank" in Spanish, so naturally I found myself wondering whether the two Black Iberian pigs on the wall were part of the joke. :) I would come back for the vibe, the bar area, and maybe to give the food another try.
