Yes, this place is in a hotel and the initial front entrance feels a bit off but the food was delightful. The servers were super helpful in giving options for food recommendations and drink pairings too. I came here to celebrate a special occasion and they did not disappoint with congratulating me and making me feel welcomed. I'd say the tom kha mussels were the most delicious but we definitely could have used more bread. Unfortunately they said that if we wanted more bread, we'd have to buy another serving. That was a huge bummer. Other than that, I would say I would put all the food at a 4/5 in flavor and 3/5 to account for costs. All said, I'd come back to try new menu options when given the chance .

Genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had in my entire life. The California bread service with the garlic butter was unreal. Just delicate, beautiful flavors. I also had the pasta allá gricia and it was superb. Gorgeous peas just absolutely beautiful summer flavors that reminded me of my childhood eating peas from my grandfather's garden. The pasta was perfectly cooked. I can't overstate how good this food was. I'm so happy. Thank you to whomever made this food. You're a beautiful person and a legend.

Food is pretty good with lots of shareable options. My pasta plate was pretty good, with good textures and flavors. I really liked some of the appetizers, though the liver mousse and mussels were a bit gamey for my taste. The presentation of the dishes was quite photogenic. Service was fantastic, and the interior feels pretty fancy, but nothing stood out particularly. Process are reasonable. What I really enjoyed was how easy it was to make a reservation.

Signature old-fashioned was great, I have never seen branded ice before. The restaurant should just get a 10 out of 10 just for that. It has to be a reflection of their Michelin star chef. The chicken adobo is as good as little any little corner spot (iykyk). Bedded into a great sauce, the adobo is sweet, smoky and hearty all at the same time cook to perfection. I don't think that you can go wrong with making this selection. Smash burger was a solid selection, but it wasn't as good as the chicken adobo. Next time we'll make sure to explore more the drink menu and also some of the other items on the food menu.

Ok I was so surprised by this spot. We went here after several drinks at sports page bar across the street to have a bite to eat. They have a beautiful restaurant that's part of the Shashi hotel. They have several specialty cocktails and flights to enjoy. I enjoyed the bolognese This would be a great date night spot, as they also have a piano in the back. Gorgeous bathrooms too

Tried this place for dinner! Nice cozy ambience, reasonable service! Didnt have that many vegetarian options! Food was quite bland! No chili flakes nor French fries on the menu or in the kitchen! Online menu is outdated! Please check with the server on exact details! Wait can be longer. Didnt have salt pepper on the table as default setup. Kids pasta / noodles were quite bland! Veg burger and the choco cake was the highlight hence the 2 stars ! Def area of improvement.

We were guests at the hotel and decided to have dinner at Broma. Excellent food and service in a modern and relaxing vibe. We ordered the beet salad, bread basket, skirt steak, tom kha mussels, and mushroom risotto. All the plates were presented very well and tasted absolutely delicious. Our server, James K, was also wonderful. James was attentive and anticipated our needs in a timely manner. We would come back.

Another unforgettable visit to Broma! Two dishes were extraordinary today: - charred broccoli gnudi: the char is so pleasantly strong that it made my head spin. I've no idea what techniques they use to make gnudi with broccoli but yet so smooth. - lemon cheesecake: the sauce had a delicate balance of acid + bitter to it and made every bite irresistible. If you look at photos in my previous reviews you'll notice an older version of the cheesecake, which was also fantastic, but they just keep innovating and improving. One thing I didn't like today was the eel barbocoa. The skin was impossible to cut through and very chewy. I felt the idea might've worked if they made it bite-sized. Flesh texture and Overall flavor was great, though.

The food here is tasty, but WAY too small and expensive for what it is. I came here with a group last night and everything on the menu sounded delicious, but we all had to go out to eat somewhere else afterwards because all of us were starving when we left. I ordered the Day Boat Scallop Crudo which was very delicious, but about two tablespoons of food at most. The majority of the bowl is just a foam garnish. Even for a high end restaurant, $26 for what arrived on my plate is preposterous. They also advertise this as "shared plates", but there is no way to share many of these dishes because they are so tiny. All of the staff members were wonderful, but I won't be back because of the value.

Tried Broma since I was staying at Shashi hotel and they gave a meal credit. The service was excellent and I hate only giving it 3 stars but the food was just not our taste. Broma is set as Spanish tapas so we had the hamachi crudo small plate which was our favorite plate, though very spicy! We also had the hand formed Cavatelli (large plate) which we didn't like. It didn't have any flavor and we couldn't finish it despite us splitting the dish. For dessert, we had the salted caramel chocolate tart which was good but super rich, thank goodness we split that! We also ordered the flan but it tasted really weird and too strong of orange so we couldn't take more than 2 bites each. All in all, I really appreciate the service and they were really accommodating when they saw we weren't liking the dishes. But I probably won't be back to Broma.

Nice comfortable outdoor space that is pup friendly. Service was meh, took forever to get them to bring us our check - maybe because we were sitting outside vs inside. Food was decent, a tad pricy, drinks were decent. Feels more like a place for work related event vs intimate friends gathering. Total came to approx $80/person.

Broma was in my list for quite a while even before we moved to Mountain View but never got around to make so once we became locals we decided it was a must to go and try Broma. We went in around 5:30pm and the place not that busy there were people from the hotel Broma is located at and because there was a concert at Shoreline that day. We started by ordering a Paloma for my wife and a Cantarito. They were both really good basically the Cantarito is a Paloma but swagged out. For appetizers we ordered their Hamachi Crudo and their Tom Kha Mussels. The Hamachi Crudo which was seasonal had stone fruits, cucumbers, cantaloupe, herbs and chili oil but it was lacking salt & acid so the flavors didn't really tie together or came forward together. Tom Kha Mussels were good on flavor basically tased like a seafood Tom Kha soup but the mussels were cold so the broth felt fattier since the fats coagulated and the mussels were chewy, once again I don't mind my food cold I am used to it but my wife need her food at least warm but ideally hot. For our entree we just shared their Skirt Steak plate which is Vietnamese influenced. The stake was cooked medium rare but once again it was a bit cold very tasty and very tender but it was not warm so as we ate the meat became harder to chew. Overall we liked the ambiance, the hotel is beautiful and their outdoor sitting is beautiful also, their drinks were great I feel like that's what saved the experience because I really didn't feel like complaint about the food to them because we are going to give them another try sometime in the future. The prices are a bit steep since the bar and the restaurant are inside of a boutique hotel called the Shashi located right next to Google HQ. For 2 rounds of drinks (4 total), 2 appetizers and 1 entree it was around $180-$200 with tip included. We will give them a try again since their two hot dishes were cold and I will update this review.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and made a reservation online through their website. Broma is located on the first floor of a hotel and there was plenty of street parking, as well as parking inside the structure. I was excited to try out Broma because I read that the chef is Michelin-starred and the food prices were reasonable considering the caliber of experience. To share, we ordered pan con tomate, spicy arbol shrimp, and pitchers of the lychee sangria. My absolute favorite dish was the pan con tomate. The combination of the tart tomato, smooth olive oil, and fattiness from the bacon was absolute perfection! So so soooooo delicious and simple! For our entrees, my boyfriend and I decided to just go with the tapas and ordered the chicken croquetas and serrano charcuterie board, which were both solid. We also got the fideua negra, similar to a paella, to share with everyone and I thought this was just okay. The pasta/grain had a texture I didn't expect - it was so chewy that it tasted undercooked. The service was amazing and everyone was super friendly and helpful. I had brought a cake and they offered to put it in the fridge for us to keep chilled. All in all, nice spot for tapas and delicious drinks! They have a full bar but I was perfectly content with my lychee sangria.

The pork belly was very good. The noodles had a nice sauce. Both were good but we were just really hungry that day. For $85 not including tip, we needed more food afterwards. We should have ordered dessert. Service was fine. The server was familiar the dishes. I need to order more food next time or come when I'm only snackish.

The space is sleek, modern, and light-filled, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends for lunch or evening drinks and bites. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Deviled Eggs: A must-order appetizer! Topped with tobiko/caviar, crispy shallots, and chives, they are incredibly creamy with a nice pop of texture and savoriness. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy, perfectly glazed in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. Served with a cool dipping sauce that balances out the heat wonderfully. Tacos (Carnitas & Shrimp): Both taco options were served on warm, fresh corn tortillas topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and served with a side of slaw and spicy salsa. High quality and super flavorful. Roasted Cauliflower: A gorgeous mixture of purple and white cauliflower tossed with a rich green pesto and drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce. A phenomenal vegetable side with a great kick. French Fries: Golden, crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a massive bowl--perfect for sharing across the entire table. Overall: Excellent presentation, generous portions for small plates, and a super welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for creative craft cocktails or grabbing a bite with a group near campus, Horsefeather delivers. Highly recommended!

Overall had a wonderful evening food, drinks, and ambiance was fantastic. :) We started with drinks and appetizers. All were packed with flavor and creativity. The delived eggs were so a fun twist on the classic delived egg dish, they were bursting with lots of flavor. The most addicting starting was the umami fries they were spectacular and they gave us a heaping portion of them every fry had the perfect amount of seasoning. Street was good as well came out very hot and fresh. Well seasoned although I would have like a little more of the cheese they put on top just through the dish Drinks- - alto adagio: 10/10 light floral not too sweet and beautiful presentation - old fashioned 7/10 - golden path mocktail: 10/10 very good mixes of interesting flavors and ingredients Appetizers - kimchi delived eggs(GF): 9/10 - umami fries(GF): 10/10 - street corn(GF): 7/10 On to dinner, my father got the birria beef roast(GF). Huge piece of meat with super flavorful sauce with fresh handmade tortillas. I got the street tacos with turmeric cayenne shrimp(GF). Once again great portion size you get three tacos packed with protein. Flavor profile was spot on and delicious. My partner got the double cheeseburger with bacon and avocado. Which apparently was the star of the show for the dinner. Not being gluten free I wasn't able to try it but both my father and my partner said it was probably one of the top three burgers they have had in their life. My partner had ordered it cooked medium and it was cook perfectly it was still insanely juicy and it all came to together for the perfect bite. On a side note I love to see that it's always the places where you wouldn't think would serve an incredible classic that just do it better than anyone else. Entree - birra braised pork(GF): 9/10 -street tacos(GF): 10/10 - Double cheese burger : 10/10 Last cocktail - lowrider: 6/10 - Mezcal hibiscus cucumber agave// only points knocked off because it felt like they were trying to mask the strong flavor profile of the mezcal rather than complement it it was a bit on the juicier sweeter side. Only note was the service was a bit slow food came out quick but after the order was taken and set on the table no really check in to see if we needed anything I had to ask someone who dropped off our food to order another cocktail. Once again maybe they were a bit busy but I think maybe looking into doing some table touching by some member of staff could definitely help improve. It could also have been a one off occasion so no major upset. With that said I will definitely be back again the food and drinks were incredible. Can't wait to try more items on then menu and more of their super creative cocktails would definitely recommend!!

Definitely a family style dinner, order multiple things to try! Made a reservation couple weeks in advance for a week night dinner for 2. Celebrated our anniversary and couldn't be more happy we came to Ethel's Fancy. Service was great, everyone was friendly and explained the menu and process. Helped making some personal recommendations and the food came out quickly. The only dish that came out very slowly was the dessert, we did wait about 25 - 30 minutes just for the softserve, but all other dishes came out in a moderate time. Rouge de Bordeaux Milk Bread, comes with cultured amazake butter and some salt. Comes out super warm, puffy, and soft. Very nice pull and the butter is super decadent. Very great take on a japanese shokupan, we were hesitant at first, but it makes for a good appetizer 5:5 Warm Sesame Pancakes were like those mini sesame mochi pancakes at chinese dim sum, but the texture was slightly airy. The sauce to accompany it was unlike anything i've had, smoked trout, avocado and yuzu. The avocado was not over powering and the cream on top was whipped. Amazing pairing. 5/5 Sashimi of Kanpachi, japanese cucumber salad as the base and dressing with the kanpachi sashimi. I will say this was the weakest dish of the night. While still good, it was a bit too tart, it overpowered the other natural flavors. Fish was still very good, tender and not fishy, but again, over powered but all the tartness in the dish. 3/5 Yellowfin Tuna on sushi rice - this was a great shareable plate of upscale poke. The tuna was great, no fishy taste, perfectly seasoned and the smoked kira had an amazing pop of flavor. Very rich and decadent dish, absolutely loved the harmony of a slight smokey flavor to the nice rich, umami savoriness. 5/5 Crispy Caledonian Prawns - Absolute star of the night. We could not stop talking about these prawns. Big plump prawns, fried perfectly, where the prawn itself was not dry but the shell had a shatteringly crispy exterior definitely slightly coated with a starch to give it a nice crunch. The chili ramp sunomono was a great touch, not spicy at all but added a great touch of flavor that complimented the crispy prawns. Could devour plates of these! 6/5! Sword-Fish Katsu Style - A great take with sword fish, flakey but not overcooked, great thin crispy katsu. Accompanied by kumquat and cauliflower, helps cut down the greasiness. The sauce with it was a buttery tart sauce. This was a lot better where the tartness helped the fried fish. It was like eating a fried fish burger without the buns. I really enjoyed this one. 5/5 Lastly we ordered a softserve with peaches, shokupan croutons and a caramel dressing. We had to wait about 25 minutes just for the small softserve so we were a bit surprised as other dishes came out relatively quickly or in an orderly fashion. It still tasted great as a little small dessert but definitely was surprised by how long it took. 3/5 Overall, we were very happy with our experience at Ethel's and it definitely lives up to the standard it sets. I can't wait for other new dishes to try and come back in the future.

The restaurant is pretty small inside, and has 2 seating times: 530 and 8. It's a prix fixe menu but you also have some options to add to it. Larb Bibim Guksu: cold noodle dish that had szechuan ground lamb , shiso, and heirloom tomatoes - made for such a refreshing start to the meal. Fishcake tom yum: This was my absolute favorite dish. The cabbage wrapped fish was tender and juicy and the broth was so incredibly flavorful. I loved this dish, no notes Pork jowl: The pork was good, but I think compared to the other dishes on the menu, the least inventive and new. Solid dish but creativity wise I wasn't particularly sold. Ecuadorian shrimp (add on): I love some shrimp! the red curry sauce on these shrimp was super yum and it was nice that they gave you a small finger towel/wipe for afterwards Pandan Coconut Bingsu: This was an amazing dessert!!!! I am not a dessert person whatsoever but this really did it. There was a pandan bingsu (v finely shaved ice) with coconut foam on top. There was red bean also at the bottom center of the ice. The dish felt incredibly balanced and light. Every bite felt like a cloud that disappeared on your tongue. 10/10 dessert Overall it was a great experience and I'm incredibly happy with the creativity of the menu and the execution. Would love to come back to try another menu :)

I've heard many great things about Orchard City Kitchen and so glad I finally got to try it. The…read moremenu was a little overwhelming but also fun with a whole section of special menu items Yellowstone/Dutton Ranch themed. Sitting outside was great even at night with nice touches such as hand warmers to warm you up! Dishes were small dishes/tapas style but fun to share. We had the grilled half artichoke, loch duart scottish salmon, KFC, it's carrot rice, fries and Beth's hand pie. The salmon was cooked nicely preserving the juiciness with some tangerine wedges for added acidity. It's carrot rice was unique in that it was like a texmex porridge (this doesnt sound appealing but it was delicious), the various dips that accompanied the grilled half artichoke and fries were good too! Lastly didnt think i'd be impressed with the KFC but it was well seasoned and came with fun sauces. However the 5/5 stars is really for our waiter that evening Andres! Right off the bat seating us at the table he came full of humor, great jokes, and genuinely warm service. Throughout the night he was thoughtful in his timing with service and always came in with a new witty joke! It felt like we were regulars at this spot despite it being my first time. Highly recommend Orchard City Kitchen for a great meal!
