    I'm surprised that this spot has never ever been reviewed on Yelp! Keith Reed aka The Conch Daddy has been supplying the Opa-Locka area with great late night seafood for years and it's all delicious stuff: The Fried Crab, Conch Balls, Fried Shrimp, Cracked Conch and most especially, their specialty, Conch Salad! Not sure if you'll find better or fresher Conch Salad then right there at Conch Daddy's truck at 122nd St and 27th Ave. It's prepared right in front of you! And as sweet and authentic as any conch salad you would find in The Bahamas or Turks & Caicos. You'll only find them around on weekend nights from about 6pm until way later into the night. You know what they say about Conch and it's magical aphrodisiac powers right? LOL, that maybe the reason why the lines for the truck are so long and steady so late on a weekend night. Regardless, if you enjoy freshly fried seafood and conch salad, it's very hard to beat this late night Opa-Locka institution.

    Not worth 20 plus dollars for 4 small tiny pieces of conch, 6 shrimp, and 5lbs of fries.

    This some of the best seafood in south Florida. They make amazing conch salad and fried seafood. Reed's gets two thumbs up.

    Food looks nice, but the conch is not cleaned properly. Does not taste fresh at all. Could not even enjoy the rest of what I ordered.

Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.

Be prepared to wait, but trust me, it's worth it. The drinks were another highlight. They were sweet, strong, and complemented the meal perfectly. DJ Bre kept the vibe going all night with a great mix of music that added to the overall experience without overpowering the conversation. Great food, great drinks, and great energy. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving Jamaican food in Miami.

I genuinely want this place to succeed because the food and drinks are great -- I just wish they would focus on that and improve communication and organization instead of trying so hard to be trendy.
