1 of 2 conch fritters. A good amount of conch, but super oily.

Y'all, let me tell you that this place is the bomb!!!!! The day I purchased conch salad from this location, only moments before I was around the corner purchasing conch from another seafood restaurant. This conch wins! It was authentic, with the different citrus juices and peppers and large pieces of conch. I was in heaven. I ordered the $10 bowl and that was enough for me to have some the next day. If weren't living 3 states away, I would have ordered a jug of the conch salad because it was so good. Now, the location of this place is horrible, but that doesn't change my review. This place is a restaurant slash nail salon, so it was kind of weird, but that didn't stop my from placing my order, plus, the owner/chef was really nice. There aren't really many places to park, so if you come here you need to have a designated driver who can drop you off, circle the block and then come back to pick you up. I also ordered conch fritters from the lady in the food truck, 2 for $5 I think. Those were good too, just super oily, but I think I'd purchase them again.

I found this place (Tropical Conch) by word of mouth through Jackson Hospital employees. I kept seeing these empty white foam cups all over the place. So, I finally ask today, what are these white cups? The nurses all said gurlllll..... (popping the tongue and rolling of the eyes...yeah, just like that. No joke) this place on 12th Ave and 45th sells the best conch salad in all of Miami. I said, word.... so here I am. This place you will easily pass by because it's so unassuming. I've always wondered what is this building. The exterior is painted nice but clearly the building is dated. The Interior when you enter on 12th avenue (the east side) Will blow you away. Its not at all like you would imagine it to be. It is absolutely nice and clean and airy. This place is a 3in1. As it encompass an area where they do taxes, a nail station and an area where this "Miami Best" conch is housed. Yeah.... talking about a hookup. They got it going on. LOL...The prices for the conch salad; are $5, $10 and $20. I ask for the $10 cup. I handed him My $10 and off I went. The Taste. Amazing. Simply amazing. If this doesn't remind me of the Bahamas I don't know what else does. This is absolutely delicious. Extremely fresh, cold and just has a burst of flavors going on. Perfect blend of spices and fresh juices. If ever you're in this area and lover of Bahamian style conch salad, try this place. You won't regret it. Oh and yeah, You can thank me later with a $10 cup. :-) I'm so serious. Tell him Tissy sent you.

A new twist to my favorite dishe, conch salad. This tropical conch salad is so fresh, so tender, so much conch and the juice had a mixture of flavor that I have never had before. It's a blend of bitter lime and sweet tropical, I love it. I also enjoy the Italian ice mixtures that are serve with a slice of pineapple on the side. This is one of my favorite and worry about calories.

Conch salad is something we've looked for since our honeymoon in the Bahamas and this place had exactly that!

From the simple fish empanadas to the whole fried snapper, everything is delicious. Their seafood soup and conch soup are absolute must-try items for me; just writing this makes me crave them. If you order the fried shrimp or fish pieces, make sure to get the sauce as well. It's a great spot for healthy eating or for pescatarians since they only serve seafood. The service is straightforward: you just stand in line to order. While it isn't always packed, there are days with long lines and heavy wait times, but the staff tries to be fast and efficient. As for the ambiance, the restaurant is located in the heart of Allapattah. It features outdoor seating and smells of the sea; it might not look like much, but I guarantee the food is out of this world. You won't find another place like this with such fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. I will recommend this to my children and grandchildren, and I hope my entire legacy continues this tradition. To my fellow Yelpers: what are you waiting for? Go check them out!

So far, their black beans and rice are the best I had and I have been here a long time. You can order the cook food and sit at the outdoor tables to Wait or Dine; I have done both. We also ordered the chicken, and the portion was so generous that it genuinely surprised us. The fried green tomatoes were delicious, the soup was excellent, the bread was fantastic, and the wine complemented everything perfectly. Beyond the food, the atmosphere and ambiance were simply incredible. This is one of those places where every detail comes together to create a memorable dining experience. The service was equally impressive--friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. No star rating feels high enough for the experience we had here. We were extremely pleased with the food, the flavors, the service, and the overall atmosphere. I will absolutely return on my next trip. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

Our waiter Nick was PHENOMENAL at his job and so so kind. We tried the large stone crab claws of course and although I liked how much meat you get compared to other crab / lobster, it tasted of very little and was kind of semi frozen almost? The sauce to dip in was really good. As for the sides, I liked them! Nothing was mind blowing but they were good. My favorite were the grilled tomatoes with spinach and cheese. SO flavorful and cheesy. The corn was pretty average, just mostly limey. I did really like the potatoes lyonnaise though perhaps some cheese would've brought it to the next level.

I get on the highway to drop them off and when I get to the school I got two flat tires on the driver's side. I called AAA to get my car towed to my neighborhood tire place called Mr. Colombia. While I was waiting, I got very hungry. I forgot that there was a seafood restaurant across the street. I said I might as well go eat while my car was getting serviced. I walked down the street I can smell the fish frying. A little info about this place, I frequented this location back 20 years ago, when my friend use to stay around the corner. We used to order minutas for those unfamiliar with the terminology it's a Spanish fried, boneless snapper sandwich. It's on a Cuban type burger roll, with onions and ketchup. I had them to add some lettuce and tomatoes. This sandwich is only $4 and with fries for $5.50, not a bad deal for something that is freshly cooked to order. I also ordered a Coca-Cola. When I bit, into my sandwich, can I say I was salivating, it was so perfectly seasoned and crunchy. The filet was very moist, adding the French fries completing the meal to a perfection. About this whole in the wall, it's been at this location for over thirty years. It's open everyday, except Sundays. On the weekends they sell a seafood type paella which literally sells out, so I recommend you come early. They also sell fresh seafood, (fish, shrimp, lobster, etc.) Hours: Monday thru Friday 8am-6pm Saturday 8am-3pm My favorites and highly recommended, Minuta sandwich fully loaded with fries and fish soup with either noodles or rice. Don't knock it, till you try it.
