TERRIBLE - we paid over $2k for an A/C repair, the technician came out as scheduled on Friday early afternoon, worked on the unit, told us someone would come by THAT NIGHT or the next morning to fix the A/C. NO ONE SHOWED UP, customer service has one woman working (Jenn) who did what she could but she can't contact techs or any of her managers. We have now been without A/C for 48 hours plus AFTER spending $2k and being told the A/C would be fixed yesterday. Not 24 hours, not excellent care, just a bunch of overpriced services performed by people who do not want to work and do not care about lying to customers. Go anywhere else in the valley. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

2/17/25: Quick history - our unit is about 8 yrs old, installed by Goettl. We have had issues w/ them from day one. Be it poor communication, to misinformation, to techs not putting the fuses back into the box. Needless to say, we have experienced a lot of crap w/ them. Their latest? They wanted $473 to fix/replace the whip, which apparently covers the wires outside (see photo). They didn't "want to scare us" but said it's a fire hazard; they told us this after doing their inspection, then sitting in their van for about 15 minutes -- it felt as if they were simply out there, planning their latest scheme to bilk us out of money. Needless to say, after this latest scare tactic, we opted to get a second opinion with REEis A/C. Whoa, what a difference? REEis sent out James, who was very friendly, clean, professional, NO SCARE TACTICS. :-) He jerry rigged (or should I say James rigged) the whip, simply pushing it back up into place. Who knew it was that easy? It didn't stay that way, but more on that later. James did point out that our dryer lint was blowing back into the house & building up (something Goettl never pointed out, insert angry emoji). A couple weeks later, we made the appointment to have James come back to clean the dryer vent and try again w/ the whip, as it fell back down. The whip he simply zipped into place with two zip ties. I imagine that won't last forever, especially in the AZ brutal summers, but at least it will give us time to save up money until we opt to have REEis replace it. Whew! The dryer vent was Nasty w/ a capital N. He cleaned that out lickity split. I must say, our dryer seems to be operating much more efficiently since then -- and now we know to call REEis in another 3-5 yrs to have it cleaned out again. James did mention their membership rate during his first visit but he did not apply any pressure at all to try to get us to sign up -- which is very much appreciated, and is one of the reasons why we are going to cancel Goettl's stupid Sadie membership and get on with REEis. read more

UPDATE Mr. Russo, the owner of REEis, called me several times; he wanted to talk to me. I agreed to speak with Mr. Russo on Saturday February 28, 2026. He called and asked me what he could do to find a solution that would make me happy. We discussed both units. We paid for new units, but the grilles are damaged and look pretty bad. He said he'd send his best technician, Dennis, to examine the units. We also discussed the electrical panel, which I paid $6,800 for (it didn't need replacing). He agreed to reimburse me $4,800, and he said Dennis was going to bring the check. Dennis came and inspected the units.  I asked him about the check he was supposed to give me.  He said he didn't know anything about it. I sent an email Monday march 9th  to Mr. Russo why he hadn't given me the promised check and how he planned to resolve my issues.   I am still waiting for his response. It's terrible that after agreeing to something there has been no follow-up.  His word is worthless.  This reflects very poorly on the company.   Don't hire this company.  If the owner doesn't keep his promises, what can you expect? I was going to update my review to a positive one if they had honored their word; but he didn't, even after repeatedly asking me what he could do to find a satisfactory solution. We have used Reeis a few times over the last few years. First to replace an old unit and move the air handler up to the attic. Their bid was NOT the lowest but we felt best about their team (no bait and switch, no price high, see if we accept and then move the price lower to try and gain business. Antonio lead the install team the whole way! We have called him back for two other issues with our older unit and he has been honest, clear with should/could repairs and professional all the way through. The big ones that are on tv all day to promote their owner, their owners tattoos and nice trucks, need to make more profit to promote themselves..be your own judge! read more

I would recommend Reeis air conditioning a hundred times over. We were out of town and our daughter got back from college to a home where literally everything in the pantry was melted. Our assigned service provider and Antonio came out and fixed our home and even picked up a couple air filters for us. From start to and every employee that I spoke with was absolutely top notch . 100% worth the money. I've used REEIS for years. Overall, the company has continued to provide excellent service. This year, there was a glitch with scheduling my annual spring service. I specifically requested "first appointment for the day". The scheduler apparently misunderstood stood this as "first available appointment" for that day. I'm not a morning person, so a 6:30 alarm and waiting until 1pm without anyone showing up irritated me quite a bit. I called back to reschedule since I had already wasted 6.5 hours. Don't ever take anything BUT the first appointment in the morning. It doesn't matter who you're calling. When I rescheduled (for only a week later), Daniel called ahead to let me know his ETA. He also beat it. He was clean, polite, professional, friendly, and explained what he was doing. He also gave me some tips for avoiding some possible concerns in the future. (This wasn't upselling.) Other than the scheduling snafu, I am extremely pleased and will continue using REEiS. One star off for that, but it's really half because it was my fault, too. read more

So for background, I've been a REEis customer since getting my first AC tune-up on a new build (that they did the install work for) in 2017. Over the 7 years I've never really felt like I was taken advantage of or "up-sold" on anything and the couple minor issues I had (a degraded capacitor being replaced before failure and an issue with a stuck damper on my air handler) were always handled with a great deal of transparency and fairness (labor only on the capacitor which was under warranty and 50% parts plus labor on the air handler which arguably failed prematurely). Additionally, I've always been pretty happy with the technicians who have been out over that time having worked with about 5 different individuals at this point. I just had my service done this year and needed a bit of extra coolant in one of my units and was recommended a booster for the other one based on the current draw at start up. In each case the results were shared with me and a quick sanity check of what I was being told matched up with the technical understanding of things. The technician (Antonio) was not pushy at all and basically took an attitude of education on benefits while leaving it up to us on a decision ultimately. Now, maybe I could have gotten the work done a bit cheaper if I cross shopped, but REEis hasn't given me a reason to do so yet and I hope it stays that way. In the end if proper maintenance of my systems keeps them alive for a few more years I view it as money well spent given what a full system replacement will ultimately run us. read more

**UPDATE TO 1ST COMMENT WHEN I GAVE 1 STAR** After my post the manager reconsidered and refunded my money. Their explanation about the responsibility NOT being theirs and instead my builders is understandable, but I guarantee it was NOT my fault a filter was left in the wall. I still don't understand why the company just didn't tell me that over the phone and save each of us time & money. I recommend everyone who has separately located filters check their air handler and see if they have one from the original install still there behind the door. **ORIGINAL COMMENT** I purchased my new home in 2019. Reeis was the company that installed the original HVAC unit. I rented the home out until this past week when we moved in and while changing all of the air filters I found another one that was inside the unit unable to be changed due to the way they plumbed the condensation line (see picture). When I called Reeis to see if I could just remove it from underneath they said they would send a technician to verify. Miguel came out (He was very professional) and said yes I can just remove it because there were 3 other filters throughout the house doing the job. I asked the manager to waive the 79 dollar service fee because the HVAC was clearly installed incorrectly (blocking the access door) and the filter never should have been there but he refused because it had been over 3 years since my home was completed. No one would expect to look inside of the wall cavity to find a filter that was not supposed to be there. If they would have told me over the phone I would have just removed it myself. I would NOT recommend them because not only can they not install it correctly the 1st time they don't stand by their work when a defect is found. read more

Follow up to Mr. Russo's remarkable reply. Mr. Russo wrote: "The event of this complaint were from a home a client built in 2016 The fact that Mr. Peters is attempting to defame one of my companies in 2023 is a testament to Mr. Peters' character." **RESPONSE** Note that Mr. Russo fails to address the actual content--the many mistakes and errors his firm committed. Instead, we're off on a tangent related to the year his firm(s) made the mistakes? Let's discuss why it's taken so long. Mr. Russo fails to note the MANY years of mediation and arbitration that followed the discovery of the errors, this after YEARS of failed "repair" attempts which, as it turned out, were all about kicking the can down the road until the two-year warranty expired. (This may also, ahem, explain why there was excuse after excuse as to why REEis would never provide the HVAC plans, despite being repeatedly asked to do so when their "repair" attempts had no impact. What he doesn't know is that his own employees spilled the beans about what his company was doing . . . and that's why some would apparently quit soon thereafter to work for more honest/reputable companies, or so I was told.) Frankly, while it may FEEL like defamation, there is no defamation taking place--it's just a listing of the facts. If the damning facts are defamatory, perhaps REEis shouldn't be: 1. Installing 6 tons of AC after submitting formal documents for city approval which list 8 tons of required AC. (NOT allowed: see last paragraph of this one-page memo: www.phoenix.gov/pddsite/Documents/TRT/dsd_trt_pdf_00086.pdf) 2. "Shorting" the installations. REEis submitted the required formal duct plan for city approval. It shows registers and returns required per Manual D. It would be a REALLY good idea to have installed them. Doing so AFTER the homes were built, and having homeowners pay for what was supposed to be there originally, would likely be a form a fraud, or so I'd guess? (Not a lawyer, not legal advice; Mr. Russo should seek his own legal opinions.) That said, it would be GREAT if REEis would refund us (and Carl, and Olga, etc.) the money paid to install things that were supposed to be there in the first place. Please mail the checks soon! Unsure what sharing our REEis experience has to do with my "character," but when you have nothing for rebuttal, the ad hominem attack is the only thing left. Mr. Russo wrote: "Mr. Peters purchased an investment property from a client homebuilder in 2016. He never moved into the home. Mr. Russo has labeled these as "false claims," but cannot refute them with facts. In strong contrast, I have provided photographs of the REEis logo on documents submitted to the City of Phoenix, and which were then stamped for City approval. REEis was REQUIRED to install what they documented; they did not do so. As for "every agency in the state to support his false claims?" Well, let's call it what it is: Arizona is a VERY "business friendly" state. That's why it took the homeowners so many months to even find an attorney--the state legislature has made it nearly impossible to recover from poor workmanship because now the awarded damages (which were substantial, thankfully) are whittled down by new laws which do NOT require builders to pay for the homeowners' legal and expert witness fees. And, let's be frank: these agencies have bigger fish to fry (like Google!) than bad homebuilders and their subs, where there are lots of campaign contributions to be secured;-). Mr. Russo wrote: "I was an expert witness against him in the builder's civil defense suit. Once the deposition was completed, he went on every media outlet possible to defame REEIS. There is no validity to any of his complaints. REEIS did not even install his HVAC system. The A/C air handler that was in our home filled up with condensation and our ceiling fell through. After paying to fix the ceiling we called Reeis to install a brand new setup (condenser and air handler) as well as add insulation to the whole attic. Shortly after install, the brand new air handler filled up with condensation and leaked on our new insulation and new ceiling. The air handler was fixed and the team went up to ensure there was no mold. During the winter, the new unit makes a banging noise. After two winters, a tech was finally able to find the cause in the third winter. Reeis was able to send out a tech to secure the lines and reduce the knocking so it is barely audible now. After being in the attic figuring out the cause of the knocking, the tech told me that there were spots in the attic that didn't have much insulation. Reeis sent out a team to fill in any spot that needed. I can trust that Reeis stands behind their work. I would recommend this business to others. read more
