I don't know what kind of product she used on me, it's driving me crazy because I cannot even clean up myself!!!! Aside from doing excellent work with my hair color, she does a fantastic job with cuts and blowouts. I usually hate getting my hair blow dried when I go to a salon because I feel like I'm getting violently attacked with a heat gun, but Esmeralda is not only gentle, but FAST and makes my natural pin straight hair look super shiny with nice, natural looking body. Esmeralda is now my go-to stylist for coloring and cuts at Salone Estetica. The salon itself is also really clean and everyone who works there is super kind and friendly. There's a really nice and warm community vibe with all the stylists and clients which I always appreciate at any business. It's centrally located in Winchester so it's easy to grab parking in the street for quick appointments, or you can go to the paid by plate lot by the nearest Winchester commuter rail stop to park which is about 5 min away. Maryom has just re-opened after the COVID quarantine and I was impressed and reassured by the…read moresafety precautions she is taking to minimize the chance of infection. I wanted to have my hair cut--she is my regular hairdresser and I always like what she does with my hair--and I was a little apprehensive about going to a hair dresser. She keeps the place very clean and she herself wears disposable plastic gloves, face mask, and eye protectors. Nothing is coming out of her! I came in with my facemask on and she took my temperature (forehead meter), then I put on a clean glove of my own to hold my face mask to my face when the ear loops had to be unlooped to cut around my ears. For extra protection there was the disposable one-use plastic sheeting she put on me. I immediately held the clean plastic sheeting to my mask, which meant I had double protection of sheeting and mask for my mouth and nose. In the end, I received an excellent, reasonably priced haircut (as usual from Maryom), and I felt as protected as one could possibly be under the present circumstances. I give Maryom my highest recommendation. She puts safety first. Only one customer at a time is allowed in; a second person is allowed if that person is part of the same family.

I walked into a very warm and family-esque environment, sweet ladies, conversations back and forth, was really surprised that this place even existed. Its a hidden gem off the corner of Rt 1, not much to look at immediately, but a traditional mom and pop kinda salon feel when you walk in. I arrived early, my hair-dresser finished up a little late, was in no rush so I was completely understanding. She listened to my concerns about getting a trim, cutting the dead ends off. She decided it was easier to do this after washing and styling and doing a dry cut. I trusted her expertise and went ahead with it. The wash was a bit rushed, there was an odd smell from the sink area, though I imagine it was because of the hair-dye that was lingering in the salon (it's a small place.) She conditioned following the wash, I didn't get a deep conditioner treatment but didn't make a point to say anything out of courtesy. She followed up with taking me back to my seat and immediately started to tackle the blow-dry in my very thick long hair. She did style is beautifully, she cut some of the ends off, she suggested my hair was in rather decent shape and didn't need much. I accepted her opinion, she was very polite and kind, and she finished up and offered some nice suggestions on how to close up my split ends. I closed off my tab with the Groupon, gave her a $10 tip and went on my way. Overall, not a memorable experience, I felt the whole thing (minus the hair styling portion) was rushed, I didn't get the deep conditioner which would've really been nice for my thick hair, and lastly, I could've honestly had more trimmed off my hair. She said it didn't need much, but when I got home I saw and felt the straw ends that really should've just been cut off. I'm going to have to wait a little bit and get a proper cut to make sure the dead ends are off. They're all very nice people here, I imagine they're amazing at their craft in different areas, my experience isn't necessarily a reflection on poor service, more-so could've just been an off day or maybe just bad luck with my hair.
