I visited this place with husband and really enjoyed it. They offer a variety of beers and really good tasting mocktails. We also tried the pretzel bites which were great also. We played a few rounds of pool there and had an amazing time! Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a place to hang out and/or play pool to stop by and check this place out.

Havent been here in awhile. Stopped in to play pool & grab a drink. Tried the hazy IPA called Walrus by Roadhouse Brew ABV 8.3%. It's really good. They have karaoke on Thursdays now. It was busy & staff were friendly.

Nice spot that offers beer on tap by local breweries, cocktails and bar food. Nice pool hall - clean and offers a sitting area. Food was as you would expect for a spot like this - deep fried, small portions but yummy enough to pair with a few glasses of beer. Service was mid - they were polite but not welcoming. The gentleman was more friendly than the young lady. They have HappY Hour which means pool table is half off otherwise its $16 an hour.v

I've been wanting to take my teenagers to a pool hall because I grew up with my uncle owning a pool hall in SF. Bank Shot has 8 tables to choose from and you can be a beginner or a pro. Visited on a Sunday at 5pm and it wasn't too busy. They charge by the hour which isnt bad. They offer small menu of bar food and drinks which was pretty good. I got to try their home-made egg rolls. I was told the owner's mom makes them. I give it a thumbs-up. There's a seating area you can also chill and talk with friends. My kids had fun playing 3 games with their friends. It took about 2.5hrs. Place is clean, staff is friendly and there's tvs around if you're interested in watching a game. We definitely plan on coming back. I also try my best to support the local business in EG.

Fun place to hang out. There is a place to sit and watch sports on the big screens. Food was good. Happy hours available. Will definitely come back!

If you ask any of my family members or close friends, one of the things they would share about me is that I believe in and practice healthy competition. Therefore, I had my friendly game face on when my wife and I entered The Bankshot on a rainy Saturday evening to hangout with our friends. After an employee finished tuning one of the many televisions to a Warriors playoff game, she made her way to the bar area and acknowledged us. Following explaining how the pool table reservation process works, we ordered drink. I opted for a delicious fruit forward Mango brew, while my wife ordered the Soju Peach Mango (a little bit too sweet for my liking); please note that you can sample any of the brews on tap. Our couple friends ordered wings, fries, jalapeño poppers, and drinks. The food arrived very hot (not complaining); although I'm not a fan of bar food, the jalapeño poppers were pretty satisfying. While doing some well-needed catching up, we took turns shooting pool. Ironically, we were able to complete a game in the allotted one hour time slot! This was the perfect couples rainy day date night activity. With the exception of two gentlemen, the place was dang near empty. Which was a blessing and perfect timing for us because I've heard that they can be extremely busy. In the past I have visited Blue Cue whenever I wanted to shoot pool; however, I'm happy that I can make the five minute drive from my home to support a local business like The Bank Shot!

Awesome place to play pool but we come mostly for the Beers and snacks. We wish the seats were more comfortable but we love them anyway

Awesome spot for billiards in Elk Grove ideal for hanging out with friends, casual date night, or even a fun family activity (if your kids are older). There are about 6 pool tables in the place and a good number of beers on tap. They check your ID upon entry if you plan on drinking, stamp your wrist with literally a stamp that reads "I'm Old" (lol) , then you can head over to the bar to grab beers. ID check isn't a requirement if you don't plan on drinking. They have several IPAs, but I went with a sour. I also saw a cider and seltzer option so they seem to carry a good variety. All the pool tables were taken when we came on a Friday night around 9pm, so we put our name on the waitlist with the bartender and had our first beer at the bar. We were able to get a pool table after about 15-20 minutes and enjoyed about 3 games and another round of drinks. They have a juke box (thank you to those who paid to get some music going). If no one in the place pays for songs then you basically just hear the sound of balls banging everywhere, and the vibe is much better when the place has music on (kinda wish they just had music on instead of no music unless people specifically pay for it on the juke box). Playing pool is about $16 per hour as of 2024 and beers were about 8-10 bucks each. We see ourselves coming back when we have family and friends visiting since our families would enjoy bank shot.

My wife, Lana and I have been coming to Bankshot since it first opened. The pandemic significantly delayed the opening and we would occasionally drive by to see if it had finally opened. We have always loved this place. Rob and Rose, the previous owners, did a great job getting this place started. The new owners, Russ and his son took a great place and made it even better with its focus on quality, service, and community. The tables have been upgraded, the balls have been upgraded, and they even started a live stream on their YouTube channel. On any given day you see brand new and seasoned players, families, and friends all playing and having a great time. I highly recommend Bankshot. Whether it's your first time playing or you've been playing for years, you're sure to have a good time!

We went to The Bank Shot because our son that is serving in the US Navy is in town. He has become a big fan of pool. We went on a Sunday afternoon. The service was great the woman that was working was so nice. I love that they have happy hour everyday. We will keep going back.

I love my tart, vinegar, lemon, capers, and pickled stuff....hubby....eh..not so much. So I ordered German Meatballs and my lovely pretzel with beer cheese. The meatballs are meaty, potatoes are the real deal, mashed and with gravy poured on top! Hubby ordered the beef brisket with spatzle. The brisket was tender and the spatzle was quite mac n cheesy, using gouda as the cheese of choice. So I am loving my lovely pretzel and mustard, loving his brisket and spatzle, and loving my german meatballs. Good heavens this place was made for me! Hubby on the other hand is not a fan of tart or cheesy. So he is less than satisfied. In order to rectify this problem I order the Haus Plate with the sweinschnitzel and mashed potatoes and gravy. It comes with sauerkraut, rotkohl, and seasonal veggies (sauerkraut and rotkohl on the side). The beer of choice is hefeweizen, it goes well with the tang of the dijon mustard. Hubby wasn't a fan of the orange notes. Hubby did appreciate the sweinschnitzel and seasonal veggies though. Hooray! I love coming here and will continue my patronage!! Also a fun little trivia night took place at the end of our meal. We participated and got quite a few answers right. Cool beans!

Please read this managers. I haven't been there since about the time that this place opened and we…read morewent the other day. September 2026. What we noticed was it took a while for somebody to see us and there was nobody at the tables and only about six people at the bar on a Friday night at about 6 PM. In no way am I doing this review to be mean. If you're running a restaurant and on Friday night, you're not packed that's a serious red flag because all your effort should be going towards filling those stables during the week because Friday and Saturday are a given. So we can already established that that's a serious issue. Second thing that we noticed is that it was overstaffed, and a majority of the staff was just hanging out towards the back room, talking and everything and then back over by the bar away from the customers they were talking for most of the time because there's too many staff there. We ordered a pretzel. Pretzel was awesome. Very well prepared. The beer cheese was mediocre. Need to rethink on how to display and prepare the sauces or mustard for those pretzels. That's the weakness there because serving them in two cold stainless steel cups just isn't doing it plus the sauces didn't match the level of the pretzel. We then ordered a beet salad. First big issue. It wasn't really a beet salad. It was regular salad taken from a bag. You could tell by looking at all the cut ends they were all browned over. It's really not that difficult to order in salad and cut it right before you serve it. But the salad hardly had any beets at all. Next was schnitzel. That was cooked very good. The meat itself was a little bit tough like it had been frozen. Other than that, it would've been superior. In a little bowl next to it with some kind of pasta with cheese bits in it. As my wife had mentioned, and I agreed it looked like it was pasta that was just destroyed into little pieces and then cheese mixed in. Doesn't look good. We could tell that the chef tried to do a good job with it, but the way it was presented was the bad part. Now let's get to the worst part of it. The red Kraut didn't taste good at all and it's like it had no seasoning at all. We didn't even eat more than a bite out of it. It wasn't worth having. The regular sauerkraut that we had on the other side of the plate had no caraway seeds no seasoning it just tasted like pickled cabbage and sour. Although that may sort of be like what it's supposed to be like it's a restaurant and I'll be honest and I'm not saying this to be mean but I could get better out of a jar. That plate should not come with sauerkraut. It should come with fries that are cut in the kitchen right before it's prepared. The other dishes that we saw on the menu were not very fantastic at all. We didn't have the burger, but I would keep that on the menu. So really needs to sit down with the menu and not just think that you need to have German food but you need to do a competitive analysis because you need to know what the restaurants are serving that are surviving like downtown. German food generally has a real issue in the United States surviving and if you don't get this menu right you're gonna wind up going out of business. I would bet you're losing thousands every month right now. I know you don't wanna see this as a review, but I'm trying to save you. The reason why I'm trying to save you is because I could tell that the chef did some things right that I don't often come across like preparing stuff the right way, like the pretzel and the schnitzel. That told me you have some talent back there. I would also put something in between the bar area and the eating area and I would also change the benches out and put some kind of tables. Yes, I'm German and I get the tables, but this is America and I'm sure you're trying to make money. You can take all of our ideas and opinions and throw them in the garbage or you can use them and succeed. This was our experience.

The Old Town Tap House is inside a beautiful historic brick building in the Old Town area. It has two huge 30-tap bars, very high ceilings, beautiful lighting, some private rooms, and a big outdoor area with fire pits and games. I really like the indoor space and the atmosphere here. PARKING: Plenty of parking in the complex. RESTROOM: Decent, clean, and bright. SERVICE: friendly, efficient The outdoor seating is beautiful, but the train tracks are basically right next to the restaurant. The train horn and noise can be very loud and last for a while, so it can be hard to have a conversation when a train comes by. Recommended DRINKS: *Strawberry Margarita Seltzer: Sweet and fruity with nice strawberry flavor, refreshing and easy to drink. *Marionberry Kettle Sour: Tart and fruity with a nice berry flavor. Refreshing without being too heavy. *Dust Bowl IPA: Crisp and hoppy with a nice bitterness and classic IPA taste. We also tried the potato skin poutine. Very different than what you would expect based on the name but really delicious. I think the cheese curds were fried until crispy and served with sliced brisket, chopped mushrooms, and gravy. They were served on a small potato halved, not just the skin. Very hearty, but tasty! We also got to try the banh mi sliders with beef. Perhaps it is my bias having tried many iterations of this before, but the bao bun was not a great texture and the beef, while filet mignon, was just fine. The sauce it was served with helped a lot. And the chips that came with the bao were a bit stale. The staff are very sweet but definitely not as attentive as you would expect for a nicer restaurant. The ambiance was decent but so many blinking TVs at every angle makes for an extremely distracting environment. The noise from the casino carries a bit but is much quieter if you are deeper in the restaurant.
