Two cleaners were at my home for about two hours, and unfortunately I was very disappointed with the results. After they left, there was still visible buildup, dirt, and areas that had clearly been missed. I took photos immediately after the cleaning because I couldn't believe how much still needed to be done. When I reached out to express my concerns, I wasn't looking for an argument--I simply wanted the quality of work I paid for to be acknowledged. Instead, I was told I never requested a deep cleaning. I went back and provided screenshots showing that I did request a deep cleaning from the beginning. Rather than taking responsibility or offering a reasonable resolution, I was told that the two cleaners sent were their "best cleaners" and that there just wasn't enough time. My issue isn't with the cleaners personally--it's that if a deep cleaning couldn't be completed in the time scheduled, that should have been communicated upfront instead of leaving the job incomplete. I would have appreciated accountability and a solution rather than excuses. Based on my experience, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have cleaned my bathrooms claiming false information. That I haven't . Took them 2 hours to do 2 showers. I should have stayed and watched what was being done with the time. Respinse to company to their reply: Thank you for your response, but I do need to correct a few inaccurate statements. I never said my home had gone five years without being cleaned. I said it had not been professionally cleaned in that time, which is very different. My bathrooms and kitchen have been cleaned regularly by me. Suggesting my home went five years without being cleaned is simply not true. I also specifically requested a deep cleaning of my kitchen and two bathrooms before booking the appointment. If two cleaners could not complete that work in the scheduled time, that should have been communicated before or during the appointment--not after the service was finished and paid for. My disappointment is not that my home wasn't made perfect in two hours. It's that there were still obvious areas with visible buildup and grime left behind, as shown in the photos I uploaded immediately after the service. Those photos were taken after the cleaners left and accurately reflect the quality of the work I received. Rather than acknowledging the areas that were missed or offering a reasonable resolution, your response places the blame on my home while including statements that are not accurate. I believe future customers deserve to know both my experience and the company's response so they can make an informed decision. This response addresses the specific claim about "five years," reinforces that you requested a deep cleaning, and stays professional while highlighting the lack of accountability.

We decided to continue with the order since we had already paid. Fast forward about two weeks, and we hadn't received any updates. I called to check in and was told the shipment was still in transit and might arrive by the end of the day. I asked to speak with a manager, and Glenn called me back. To his credit, he acknowledged the earlier interaction and apologized for the delay, but there was still a lack of proactive communication or effort to improve the experience...especially considering we had already, made multiple trips for payment and a partial pickup. Ironically, I received a call just before closing that the rest of the shipment had arrived and would be ready for pickup the next day...but only after I had reached out first. I would still recommend this place for the showroom, selection, and the help we received from Polina. Just be aware that the follow-through and communication may not match that initial experience.

I'll be posting more of these businesses that violate the parking restrictions soon.

Years ago I "hooked" a tapestry from an original pattern. At that time "Strands and Stitches" in Laguna Beach lined it and prepared it for hanging. Over the years the tapestry became stiff and bulky feeling. I found Refined Rug Restoration while searching the internet and brought the tapestry in. The owners were wonderful! They loved the tapestry and assured me they would be able to restore it to its original beauty and condition. Today when I picked it up, I couldn't believe how beautiful and restored it was. It was soft and supple; the colors restored, the lining replaced with a much better one, the rod pocket replaced, and the original illustration from which the tapestry was created had been removed and then restored on the back. The owners are so enthusiastic about what they do and they do such a terrific job that I brought in a 100 year old silk throw rug to have its binding restored. Their rates are fair and the quality of their work is exceptional. I would strongly recommend them to anyone with a quality rug or tapestry that needs restoration/cleaning/repair, etc. read more

We recently went to the Refined Carpets showroom to get some information about installing hardwood floors The store had an expansive collection of carpets and flooring samples. We met with Sean, who was extremely knowledgeable in all types of flooring. He was very courteous and helpful. We ultimately chose luxury vinyl to replace the existing carpet and bamboo hardwood on our entire first floor. He provided a detailed estimate and explained both the removal and installation process, and his team began the work a few weeks later. They were amazing! Five young men who never stopped working, all the while coordinating their movements with each other. They were very friendly and cleaned up as much as possible after each day. Two and 1/2 days later it was finished, and the outcome exceeded our expectations. I was given a few Karastan rugs about a year or so ago from a close friend who no longer was in need of them. My dog urinated on them and the odor was getting to a point were I didn't even want to go into the room where they were placed. Yeah! It was that bad. I was very hesitant to trust someone with these rugs because they meant a great deal to my friend and I told her I would take good care of them. I found Refined Rug Restoration on-line when searching for a service provider to wash my rugs. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. These guys are so helpful and very knowledgeable of there trait. When I showed my friend who gave me the rugs, her rugs after they were cleaned, she was in awe that these were the same ones. This company is none other than professional!! I have used them 3 times now and they have always been super knowledgeable and reliable with each of my rug cleanings. I came on Yelp after they finished my last job to give them an astounding review, only to find a very distasteful review by a previous customer. We had our porcelain tile cleaned and sealed by this company and couldn't be more pleased. There were no 'up-sells' and he explained everything he could do and answered our questions politely and thoroughly. The floors look fantastic.... the grout was black in places before, and now they look like new !! He was gentle with our furniture and considerate of my family's complex schedule as they had to run in and out as he worked. Sean was very helpful and explained their entire process for us. We dropped off two rugs, the larger one is about 6' x 10' with worn fringes. We purchased both in Istanbul while we were working in Egypt about 30 years ago; thus the rugs had a lot of wear and had not been cleaned over the years. Both were ready when they said and they even patched a spot on the larger one, that was beginning to tear, that was not included in the initial write up with no additional charge. The repair work on the trim was excellent and now the colors on both have almost returned to the original brightness. They also have a virtual app online that allowed me to see how the room would look with different carpet colors, which was such a helpful tool when making a decision. I was able to go into the showroom, discuss the color options, choose the carpet, and set the installation time for Tuesday evening at 4:00 PM. The installer arrived right on time at 9:00 AM Wednesday morning and was finished by 2:00 PM that same day. I was especially impressed with Lupe, the installer. He did a wonderful job, vacuumed the room, and completely cleaned up after himself. The whole experience was fast, professional, and easy from start to finish. I love supporting local Huntington Beach businesses, and Michael's Carpet truly delivered. Highly recommend!

We got three quotes and I felt the most confident in Michael's Carpets and pricing was fair. The sales and installation crew was amazing. Fast forward a couple years and our home flooded from a burst hose. This time I didn't even bother getting other quotes because I completely trusted them because they have been in Huntington Beach forever. We replaced the downstairs carpeting in the living room and dining room with waterproof vinyl that looks like wood and it is gorgeous. We also re-carpeted the upstairs bedrooms, stairs and hallway. There were two separate crews for each, and both of them did an excellent job. The stairs were done with a rounded edge that made our stairs look so much nicer. Because of our remodeling schedule, we needed to install only part of our home now and save the remaining rooms for later. I previously had a laminate floor installed by a different contractor in the downstairs of my house. The laminate floor was level where it met the same tile that is present upstairs. The floor installed by Family Floors is drastically uneven where it meets the tile. The trim piece is at an almost 30 degree angle and is easily tripped over (see photo). I contacted Family Floors and asked if the problem could be corrected by inserting additional padding under the floor where it meets the tile. Family Floors refuses to correct the problem and insists that the installation is proper even though the downstairs work done by a different contractor is perfectly level where the floor meets the tile.

Do not hire them!!! We did a complete remodel in our home and decided to go with this local company…read morein order to give back to the small business owner In our town. We chose our LV floors, we were given the quote, and agreed to move forward. The flooring was installed timely and looked great. However 3 to 4 months after the install, we had an area where LV planks that started lifting. The company came out and fixed timely. The product sold has a lifetime guarantee. A year later we experienced more lifting, owner was sent but it took multiple calls and emails for months to get a response. After that visit - crickets! Another year goes by, Feeling frustrated we started reaching out again as we now had more bubbling and lifting, then cut our foot on a piece that broke off. After much persistence, they sent a rep from manufacturer to assess for warranty repairs. The manufacturer denied claim. Family floors offered to repair but at the cost of labor and materials. Mind you it another took 8 months to get this far! Turns out the reason for the lifting is they didn't install the barrier between concrete and LV, stating it didn't need it at time of install, but we live on the water! We have no plumbing issues no house leaks no water intrusion otherwise. Then They tried to do a partial repair with flooring that didn't even match. What a cluster F! We had to pay to fix the entire first level of the home to get it done right. Even their field staff were flabbergasted that it was installed wrong the first time! The owner took no responsibility and office tried to overcharged us by an additional $1000 but we caught their error on the invoice. The manufacturer did donate the new LV material but it's not a true match and feels like sand paper on our feet! Horrible outcome! Looks good feels awful. We have done several remodeling projects on several homes. We Can NOT recommend this company. Do your homework and get a reputable company who stands behind what they sell. If the company responds to this it will be BS and a twisted response. Especially after reading their other responses. I never write reviews because it's too much effort but this outcome takes the cake!
