Been here a few times and I have not been disappointed. The champurrado is good. The gorditas are good. Fast service through takeout. I will be back to this place for a sit down meal. Great variety of everything.

    5 corn tortilla tacos

I found myself in Pasadena for a month and was desperately craving tacos for lunch. After a quick Yelp search, I found a spot that was 5 minutes away and decided to try it. Refrequeria Las Fuentes was a great choice and I'm glad I had such a strong craving that day, as I had a chance to try this spot! It's a pretty small restaurant and has a lot of different snack and more substantial meal offerings. I decided to try their corn tortilla tacos, 5 for only $7! They have many different meat and veggie offerings listed on the side of the restaurant. I didn't see the list so I just asked for 5 different meats and didn't specify which kinds. They came out pretty quickly with covered foil on a plate which I took back to my workplace breakroom. The tacos came with onions and cilantro, but you can specify if you don't want those toppings. I loved the green salsa they provided and the meats were absolutely delicious. I devoured the tacos quickly and felt pretty full afterwards, so they were definitely enough food for a full lunch! I did have to chug water throughout the day afterwards as they were quite salty, but I would definitely do it again if I were in Pasadena again. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area!!

#1 Lunch spot in this desolate terrain, SOOOOOOOO FRESH , VEGGIES SOOOO CRISPY !!! Ive had the soft burritos....too yummy n rich [read: waistline ENCROACHING] to eat consistently but the Hard tacos [they call it Crispy] OMG, they pile the plate with lettuce tomatoes chunky avocado slice its simply the best. Everything tastes homemade and so well seasoned ...the TORTA's are life!!!! the bread is butter toasted/grilled, the fries are sizeable and fresh, the service is verrrrrrrrrrrrrry friendly considering where its located and how they behave generally in the environ... their meats dont taste like typical fast food at allll, everything is just juicy and tasty and that scraped off the bottom of the pot seasoning taste. I love the attendant lady that speaks english shes soo bubbly and endearing. Prices usually between 4-7$

My coworkers and I frequent this place a lot. Sometimes it's embarrassing how many times I eat tacos in a week. I've tried a handful of items, but usually stick with the plain beef tacos. Just a corn tortilla, mean, onions, and cilantro. They give you a lime wedge and a side of green sauce. It's my favorite inexpensive, but super tasty lunch (I order 2 for about $2.50 total). I've also had the gordita and some of the drinks (horchata and the mango drink). ALl really good as well. Service is slightly slow if you're in a hurry, but I'm not really in a hurry so it doesn't bother me. You can call ahead if you need to.

First off, place looks amazing. A down home joint. Tina, our server, was excellent. Water was always full, attentive but not overbearing. Wonderful lady. But the food! OMG! This place is heaven! Tamales are so flavorful and the chili sauce is tasty. The chalupas were delicious as well. We're going to be back-we HAVE TO! That drive from Georgetown will be worth it.

The male host that seated us, didnt say hello welcome or anything, he actually picked up the menus and started walking, we followed assuming he was seating us.. since we were the only ones next. He lead us to an area to the left straight back behind the hostess area. He didnt speak and just put our menus down on a table and kept walking to further back into that area.. My daughter says is this our table? and he just glanced and nodded... what was that? We sat there for a while.. feeling so strange. This has never happened before. Usually the female hostess greets us we get seated and we are handed our venues after we are seated and we are told your server will be right with you. Needless to say we left. We did not feel like eating there anymore. You all may not worry about our little $50 Lunch.. ( thats how much we usually spend if not more)but if any other customers feel the same way after encountering that male host.. you will be seeing more customers walking out.

The owner came out, greeted us, answered our questions about the menu, and the food came out very quickly. It's a small place, so it's not ideal for large gatherings and they're easy to miss. El Tostaco Regio does not serve typical Mexican cuisine. Their food is what you would find served on the streets of Mexico. So there's no refried beans, rice or a queso plate here. Most of their dishes comes with beans and a cup of broth. Their food is served fresh, but messy. Everything they make is packed with flavor, but not overpowered by spices. The tables have three complimentary sauces you can try with your dishes. If your other party is not in the mood for Mexican, El Tostaco Regio also have burgers and baked potatoes. Their menu is bilingual, thankfully. The staff are patient and kind. Prices are affordable. I will say that their AC system could've been better, considering we're in Summer now. They only have only bathroom. Aside from a TV playing Latino music, there's no decor inside at all. My major issue is that El Tostaco Regio is NOT wheelchair accessible. That's completely unacceptable!
