My husband and I've been tired of eating the same food around our office. We hadn't been back to the Pizza Lounge in years! It's a bit further from our office so we decided to pick it up. I tried ordering online, but it didn't allow me to choose certain options of the online menu. I ordered the build your own pasta, meat, and sauce. I wanted the zoodles, which was made from zucchini & squash with shrimp, olive oil, and fresh garlic. It was so good! The zoodles weren't mushy and tossed just right with olive oil and garlic. The shrimp were fairly good size and not overcooked. I also recommend the Mediterranean salad with their Greek dressing. It was as fresh and good as if it was served from a Greek restaurant. I'll definitely order these again! read more

I used to frequent the one on Pearland Parkway, but unfortunately it closed. This location is not as good. Only giving three stars because the lasagna is simply the best. I ordered cheese bread - what I got was a garlic bread with oregano, no cheese at all, and it was dry and cold. Well, last time Pizza Lounge did a lousy job on quality and service on my last visit. Recently, the place has improved tremendously. I heard Pizza Lounge is under new management, the quality of their food has also improved, they even have new menu items. Our pizza was piping hot and topped with fresh toppings, and most importantly, our food didn't have HAIR in it like before! This review is solely on the pizza as it was a takeout order. I was in the mood for pizza and wanted to try setting different. I checked Yelp and saw the Pizza Lounge with 4.5 stars. The reviews stated the pizza was "amazing". Sounded good so I placed my order. Upon opening the box, I was happy to see that the pizza looked really good. I ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza. The meats and cheese looked well baked and there was even a little char on the crust, which I really like. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. When I picked up my first slice, it totally flopped. The crust was chewy (not good), and the cheese was rubbery, not stringy (not good). Taste was bland. You can tell the ingredients are not high quality. The pizza wasn't terrible, but no where near amazing. Honestly Costco and Sam's pizzas are better. read more

The food was very, very good, but the service was amazing! I had hummus appetizer with olives, Stromboli, and tiramisu. So yeah, I am a foodie with a simple pallet. Highly recommend, nice welcoming atmosphere, again service was other worldly, and food was excellent. I will need to come back to try their pizza. The tea was fresh, which tells me everything I need to know, and the glass was never empty. Service was perfectly timed and not overbearing. I can't say enough about the servers. I came in with my grandma and was sooo disappointed in the food. Firstly it took forever for the food to actually get to us and there was only 1 other table in the whole restaurant. The waitress was a sweetheart and apologized but that's still ridiculous for there to only be 2 tables and it be that slow, not to mention she was sat up at the bar with her friends talking basically our whole visit. And it's doable because I tend to stay in their "Bay Area," which is south of the city near Space Center Houston and in the suburbs adjacent to large Galveston Bay. Here's what the deal is, and this happened last year and a year or two before that. When I get the bill, it's usually a number that has cents attached to it, thus an "uneven" sort of number. To this, I add a tip. If the final bill were to be $12.72, for example, I might add $2.28 to bring it to an even $15.00. (I've asked restaurant employees over the years if this is weird and they tell me they have customers who do this.) Fast forward to the charge hitting the credit card. In 2025, one charge went through a meaningless few cents higher and one charge went through without the tip altogether. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't know how the process works where the final bill is sent over to the credit card company. In this situation, I came out ahead. But that's not the point. I want the employees who were my servers to get their tips and get what I indicated on the copy that I signed. This same exact sort of scenario showed up a year or two before when I also visited twice ... with one lunch charge coming across without the tip. Another lunch charge must have been processed with an even dollar amount as the tip. Again, I came out ahead, if you even want to look at it that way, but I want the employee to get his or her tip. The price-quality-quantity here remains at 5 stars. That's why I have filed Ivett's away in my head. I've now landed on the pattern of lunch specials that I like in any given week - a chicken dish and the manicotti dish, so I come in for those. I did try the lasagna once and, since this is in the U.S. of A. and not fine dining, they use the thicker undulating sheets of pasta that I'm not a fan of. It's to be understood. It's what most Italian-American restaurants do. That dish might come in as a 4. I applaud Ivett's for being a small restaurant that is intent on serving its customers and its community. However, if the tip for that one customer's meal is $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11 because the customer is seeking to hit a "normal" looking final number, then it's $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11. And, if they don't enter the tip at all, then I feel bad because the employee didn't get their tip and it makes me feel cheap ... cheaper than I already am to some people. Fix this little clerical issue by instructing your employees how to do so ... and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you all (translation: y'all) the next time I'm in the area.
