I've been a customer here for over 15 years, but I've had two very disappointing experiences with damaged cashmere items. The first time, a shawl was returned with a completely different texture, shape, and size. Most recently, I dropped off several cashmere pieces, and one of the three items came back severely shrunk--now small enough to fit a child. When I called to report the issue, I was told that their policy is to only dry clean cashmere, not launder it. I understand the policy, but in this case, a mistake was clearly made. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, the owner or manager refused to take the call. Instead, the employee continued to insist that their policy is never violated, which was both frustrating and dismissive. This lack of accountability after damaging a long-time customer's items is extremely disappointing and I will not be returning. read more

I have been going to this Cleaners for 9 years now. 2 months ago, they damaged my limited edition Nagel × Gucci collaboration shirt. This is a very rare piece that can not be found anywhere online. The owner told me he would reimburse me for the shirt, but strung me along for 2 months. He stated that insurance company needed to see the shirt and make sure the damage was legit. I waited patiently for them to pay me. Going back every 2 weeks since that's what he kept telling me, only to receive a call from their CS rep to go pick up my shirt with no other explanation. I understand that the stains on my shirt were going to be difficult to take off, however, they returned it with "runs" on it. They pressed on it so hard that they pulled the silk out of place. I have emails from them stating that they were waiting for the check from their insurance company. I'm disappointed that they didn't try to settle this. It's a shame that a business like this doesn't try to fix an issue they created. I asked for them to try to take the stains off and not ripping it and just telling me tough luck. The worst dry-cleaning experience I've ever had. I brought vintage heirloom tablecloths here, delicate, sentimental items used during the holidays. Instead of properly treating the stains, they steamed the stains into the fabric, permanently damaging them, and still charged me $40. When I complained, there was no reimbursement, no apology, and zero accountability. The front desk clerk blamed me for not putting tape on the stains, something she never explained and never asked about. I'm a new customer and was given no guidance at all. I was told they "have too many customers to call if there was a questions about stains," yet every time I pass by, the same clerk is sitting on the counter on her phone!!! She was rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in fixing the problem, even after I gave her the chance. I feel bad for the owner, because this front desk service alone will drive customers away. Be extremely careful bringing anything valuable or sentimental here!!! My dad visited this location last month with two large bags of clothes. He paid $40 in cash and was extremely pleased with the service. Today, he returned with two of the same size bags, but including towels with his clothes, and was charged ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS!!! He was told that he was being charged $3 per pound. He requested a receipt and was told that they don't provide receipts for cash transactions (SHADY TAX EVASION?!?). He demanded a receipt regardless, and one was provided but no breakdown was given for the exorbitant charge. This fee was absolutely ridiculous!! I asked them to carefully remove the smoothie that had spliced all over my pants and if they could additionally repair the hem that started to come down. When I went back a WEEK later (because the hours listed are not correct on website so I had to go 2x) the pants were hardly clean never mind taking out the smoothie and the hem was not touched it was still hanging down. She told me I didn't have to pay for the redo and to come on Monday. When I returned on Monday she said they were not done and to come back on THURSDAY. I am now here and they CLOSED early. I chose Regal to steam my wedding dress two days before my wedding after transporting the pristinley clean and beautiful designer dress from LA to my destination wedding at The Lautner Compound in Desert Hot Springs. I chose regal because of the name, the reviews and the price... I figured that by paying more I would get superlative service. Boy was I wrong! My fiancee picked up the dress and I waited until the morning of my wedding to check the work. There were three very noticeable rust satins right in the middle of the front of the dress!!! I worked for hours with my maid of honor to no avail to spot clean the stains which were not previously present! Fortunately a member of my wedding party has a background in fashion and had a special spot remover with which, after an hour of delicate working, was able to lift the stains. He theorized that Regal used a corroded streamer spitting rust which damaged the dress. I was very clear when dropping off the dress to note that the dress was my wedding gown. Regal nearly ruined my wedding day and certainly added a great deal of stress on an already stressful day. I am very upset that they could not at least flag their mistake so that I could try to fix it prior to the day of my wedding. Very unprofessional. Very bad. Clean at your own risk! read more

I came in to take an inch off the length of each Jean and instead they ruined my brand new Blue 7 Jeans by placing two holes in the pocket area and then tried to fix it like I wouldn't notice. They had the nerve to still try and charge me $90 bucks for ruining Two $250 pair of jeans. This place also doesn't know what a straight line stitch looks like. My house coordinator suggested this business to clean my Airbnb curtains. Curtains end up shrinking 4 inches. I had to show up at the establishment to get a refund after asking over the phone. I had been a loyal customer for more than five years. An expensive black blouse I wear regularly went missing, and I stopped in weekly for five weeks asking about it. I have received no reply from the owners even though I spoke with them twice, and then left messages with there staff. I'm disappointed that this business would not wish to keep a customer who has spent upwards of $5000 with them over the years by simply replying with a phone call, an apology, and offering even modest compensation. I have been using this place for 10 years. In the past two years I've noticed a very strong chemical smell on my shirts. I asked the wife/owner about it yesterday, as I had one of my dress shirts on that stank of it. She said she could not smell anything and no one else was complaining (third time I've brought it up with them having 'no idea'). I went to work and asked one of my co-workers to sniff my sleeve. She smelled it immediately. This morning I can smell it on my body. I did some research. It appears this is dry cleaning solvent - probably PERC, a cancerous chemical that is being outlawed in CA beginning in 2023. Apparently it evaporates to some point in the drying process, except when the dry cleaner wants to speed up the process (more clothes, less time, more profits) and doesn't dry the clothes properly. PERC also have to be scrupulously filtered. There is nothing "regal" about this business, except their high prices. read more

ALL BAD!! I signed up for Yelp just to inform the public of this place. I brought two items in to have alterations done, my ticket said they would be finished Tuesday after 4. I attempted to pick them up Tuesday and they were not ready(not a huge deal). I went back on Saturday and one pair was ready but another went missing. They found the pants after about 30 min but they hadn't been pressed, they said they could have them pressed by Thursday. Once the person realized what they just suggested, they offered to press them right away. After about 2 minutes under the iron (these pants were not supposed to be ironed) the person came back and charged me. No apology. The alterations were done poorly, the pants the person ironed will not be wearable due to burns from the iron and the price for the service was very high. So after waiting an additional 4 days I had to wait another 30 min to pay $46 to have two pants length altered. read more

I brought in a few shirts to be dry-cleaned this week, some of which had been sitting around in a bag with those "unreported stains" for more time than I care to mention. They had them all ready for me ahead of schedule -- except for one -- which had a harder-to-clean stain than the others. Let me explain further ... we (my wife and I) wear cotton shirts that are not the "easy in and out of the machine" variety so they require a laundry. I have used many dry cleaners in the valley... usually the one closest to my home or office... but about 6 years ago I stumbled across Regal cleaners going to Jensen's when it was next door... I have never found a more competent cleaner... they are always on time... pricing is average but service isn't... they even tolerate my dog following me in when it is to hot for her to wait in the car... the "Green" laudry bags are awesome for getting rid of all that messy plastic protection.... it may only be a dry cleaner... but the right one goes unheralded.. as this one does.. the wrong one can leave you in a mess at the worst possible time... this I remember now that i use these guys... haha read more

If I could do a minus 100 rating I'd start there. Do not go to this cleaners if you want QUALITY alterations. I requested a ample alteration that was improperly done. The managers & workers had no interest in customer satisfaction. We were at an impasse; I was willing to pay for the cleaning but not the poor alteration job. Rather then resolve the issue, I was told they had already paid the tailor so the only option was for me to pay them. Again I tried to pay for the cleaning only and the worker yanked the pants away from me. And then called the police. As I waited patiently for the police to arrive I thought about how stupid it was for Regal to take this stance. And knowing the police had better things to do, I went back into Regal with a solve. Since you won't take my money for cleaning, I'll give you nothing - I won't pay for cleaning or tailoring and walked away. If the business is that hard up that customer satisfaction is not the focus, it's not a place I or my network will ever do business with again. What was the amount in dispute? $12.50. Yep...$12.50 cost them a lot more than that. read more

Obviously there has been a change of ownership with in the past few years. I was a loyal customer for many years and never had a problem. Actually the owner was extremely helpful and on numerous times helped me carry my load to my car. I've been away and thought i left some clothes there so I called to double check. The girl who answered the phone was short and said she couldn't hear me even though it was her loud background noise causing the issue. She said I had nothing and hung up. I needed my clothes a day earlier, so I called them and was very pleased that they would be ready for pick up when I wanted them!! I took two pairs of riding breeches in to have the seats replaced together with the ultrasuede material. I have had this same work done elswhere for $20 a pant. A week later I went by to collect and pay fot the pants. They had not been done and the owner (?) told me it would cost $65 I was not happy but I agreed as long they were done properly. I went back a week later and the repairs were terrible, as though they had been done by a 5 year old. I went back a week later and they still hadnt been properly done. The next time I went by on May 19 the items were still terrible and I was told that the owner had paid the repairer $65 and that she refused to complete the task. In such circumstances normally the owner would give them and say sorry. In this case I had to pay the $65 in order to get the breeches back. Forget about your draperies or curtains. It was returned to me just as dirty or more than when I brought it in. Before I brought it in, I personally brush vacuumed all lint and hairs on both sides and found more hairs and lint upon return of this curtain. Upon pick up of the curtain, when I made a comment about noticing some lint on the folded curtain, the korean looking woman working there mumbled something about just getting the item from the front of the store to the back gets the item a little dirty. Without looking at me or the curtain, the same woman responded again, as if it were the stores motto. . . "We cleaned it 2 times. That is our limit and we are not going to clean it anymore." The curtain looks as if it was only partially pressed but only very lightly and not thoroughly at all. Comparing this one curtain serviced from the Regal Cleaners with all the same others in my home not yet cleaned or ironed, I think it is a waste of time and money to go to the Regal Cleaners at least for draperies. The only difference in the curtain I noticed was some spray for fresh scent and it was put it on a hanger and bagged. The Korean woman working here was extremely rude, not letting me finish half a sentence to express my opinion about the curtain, does not know how to say thank you for your business and will not be receiving anymore of my business. read more
