First time in a regal theater. Went to iron lung. Ordered tickets on line. Had machos and a drink. Lots of room an reclining seats

I haven't been a regular visitor to the movie theaters in years with my last visit in 2018. While in town and with the threat of rain, last minute plans meant the kids' first trip to the cinema! I ordered tickets online and discovered they have discounted tickets on Tuesday plus 50% off popcorn if you sign up for their loyalty club... which I did. If you buy online, you'll need to download the app. The app was actually very easy to use. The theatre itself was a bit tucked away but I eventually found the parking lot. There's ample parking and the building echoed times when movie theaters were bustling with visitors. It was a little run down and quiet and 2 people working concessions, 1 working as the ticket checker, and... that was it. There are a few claw machines and a motorcycle arcade game, plus a Photo Booth that didn't really work. Restrooms were decently clean... though there was one stall where the cover to the toilet paper dispenser had opened and the entire roll had tipped into a toilet bowl. There are about 15 screens there and - wow - I did not expect the size of those reclining chairs. Because they reclined, the aisles between each row are quite spacious. My kids are small and they were tiny in the seats, haha. Very comfy and though there were cracks in the seats, it didn't really have a negative impact on me. The theatre looked clean. For a first trip with my kids, it was a pretty good experience! I was terrified that the kids wouldn't sit still or would be loud, but it wasn't bad. It did help that there were only two other people on my row with the rest all crowded on another row. The ticket checker was pretty blasé if he wasn't checking tickets but the concession stand staff were pretty helpful and nice! No real complaints other than maybe have a step stool for kids to wash their hands a little easier. This is a good location for another movie outing! read more

No surprised and friendly concierge staff, the bare skeleton crew that's still around. On a slow day, you may have to wait for concession staff. Tuesdays are the discount days with their loyalty card. 15 screens with varying capacities - so lots of show times and shows. Pretty decent app and rewards program. read more

Nicely maintained Regal with big screens and lot of screens too I believe 15 screens. The restrooms are maintained well. The staff at the concession is friendly but not having great experience on ticket validation. They have huge parking lot which is a plus and located in not a busy area. The chairs are reclining well. The best part is the size of the screen, and the audio quality is great, too. read more

I used to enjoy coming to Hadley especially after they renovated, but they are trying to turn these movies around too quickly and not leaving enough time to clean the rooms before the start of the next movie. One of our recliner seats was broken. There is no seat heater option which is standard at some other theaters. The movie picture and sound quality was decent. The screen, however, is small. Oh, and a single 20 oz. water bottle cost $6.10. The staff were all pleasant, so it's unfortunate that this theater would not be my first choice for a movie night. read more

Something tells me this theater is one of the next to close. Never crowded to get in here. Tickets on even new releases I can get tickets. And early shows are empty as well. They never have box office that is before you walk in open anymore. And you just get tickets at the concession stand. Seeing 80 for Brady today. And I am sure it will be entertaining. Theater 15 is clean and with a good sound in it. Only 7 people in the theater so will be no noise. read more

Sound quality has improved now . Not sure if they have upgraded the system. Perfect place for Indian movies . The manager there is very friendly and always helps . Just saw a couple of Tamil movies here . Seats are comfortable . As always , pop corns and finger food are ok . Not bad . Price is a little high but ok , once a while . Lots of parking outside : best thing about this theater is , there are so many restaurants in the same complex. Amazing location . Overall nice experience . read more

Advertised as 4D. It wasn't. Was one of the smallest screens I've seen lately. The sound system was horrendous. The popcorn was mostly unpopped kernels and overly salty. Just a horrible experience all the way around. AMC theaters are so much better. read more

Not many places that can keep up on a busy weekend and regal made an opening night very enjoyable. Seats were clean and working, popcorn was fresh and the staff was friendly. Checking in was fast with a simple QR code and the movie started on time. read more

This movie theater was perfect for our needs. All the staff was friendly. Service was quick. And the facility was clean. The consession was reasonable and they will gladly layer your popcorn with butter lol. They sell everything from hotdogs to cheeseburgers and everything in between. They do need to clean the bathroom a bit more often. Other than that it was a good facility with plenty of parking. read more

The Regal Cinema is very different than most movie theaters. They have foods like waffle fries and their Cheetos popcorn is amazing! The concession stand staff need to speak louder because most of the time they speak too low and it is loud when everyone is waiting in line to get food. The theater seats are reclining chairs and are very comfy but the only thing is if you get a lot of food then there is no table to put the food on. The tickets here are much cheaper than AMC theater and you can use your Regal Crown Club all the time even if you just go in to get a popcorn. read more

This was my go to movie theater in the area growing up. Everyone either goes to Lowes or Menlo. That is why I always picked this place which had less people. But then due to less customers, the less care about the facility? Maybe because all the movie theaters I go to have been updated sooner and I just have unfair standards. Although they have been upgrading this place. If the purpose is to watch a movie, this place is good spot to stay away from the larger crowds. I'm pretty sure the theater we were in (7) had probably less then 50 seats (recliners). read more

I would give a 0 rate if I could. Not for the theater itself but for the people at this location. Just saw The Lion King, 8pm showtime. I waited until the fuzz was over so I could relive this classic from my childhood at peace. Theater was pretty much empty which was nice. As the movie started, 2 women with kids walked in and sat close to my husband and I. Not only their kids were non stop screaming as women shushed them and got upset at them but also, one of the women unwrapped - I KID YOU NOT - a tuna sandwich. Or maybe two, I'm not sure (it lasted a while). Needless to say it was stinky. I love tuna but def not a snack I'd eat at the movies. I understand this is a kids' movie. It's also the first movie I've ever seen at a theater, my grandma took me as a child and for that it carries a special meaning. Idea? Don't sell tickets for kids that aren't old enough to sit in a movie for evening showtimes, that's what matinees are for. Common sense? Don't take your kid to an evening showtime if they can't sit in a movie quietly yet. Prob won't go back to this location. So i thought this theater would be more bootleg then it was. I don't know why i had that idea prior to visiting. Maybe its because it was a regal, and I expected it to be like other Regals. Anyway I was invited out to a movie with a couple friends and said why not try this place out. The good parts about my experience was the theater was clean, the seats are the super nice seats, and the screens are well maintained. The downside is they do reserve seating, which is typically a plus except when you are going a last minute movie, we got there and the original title we were going to see only had seats in the very front row. We ended up picking another movie based on the seat availability and luckily there was more then one movie we all wanted to see. My advice is make sure you plan your movie putting more thoroughly and get reserve seating in some prime seats, and turn that downside into a plus. read more

For years I've been coming to this theater... you walk in, the concessions are there so if you want something you go get it, there's a small arcade to the far left and when WE are READY to have our tickets scanned we go to the podium on the right. Well on 8/9/22 my family and I walked in, we're at the concession line talking, excited and getting ready to order snacks when an employee came up to us and asked for our tickets, in line. What? What if we were there for the tiny arcade and movie theater popcorn? What if we weren't ready to go into the auditorium? It was aggressive and not necessary! Please go back to the way things are supposed to be done and stop harassing people for their tickets at the concession line! Also why is a small bottle of water almost $7? read more

I'm so surprised that this movie theater got such poor reviews on Yelp. I bought tickets in advance on Fandango to see The Killing Joke with my co-workers. I pulled up my confirmation email when I went inside, got the QR code scanned by a nice employee, and walked into theater 1 to find our reserved seats. Quick and painless. Theater 1 was so clean and spacious! The reclining chairs are set up stadium-style with a black barricade in front of each row so you can't see the row in front of you at all which is nice. The seating aisles are so roomy and also have a very modern wooden flooring. It wasn't a necessary renovation, but it's still a nice one. The only real gripe I had was the recliner controls. They're lit with a blue ring light, which makes it easy to see but could also be quite distracting. Fortunately, I brought a blanket in since I'm always cold so the light didn't bother me, but I'd advise anyone who gets easily distracted to bring something with you to cover it during the movie. Also, adult tickets for evening showings are $13.38 each which is over $3 more than what I pay at Starplex in Ridgefield Park with reclining seats that are just as comfy, but upon research on other theaters, this price is standard for the area. Overall, great theater! If you've visited and left a poor review prior to their renovations, I'd recommend giving this theater another chance and updating your review. read more

My favorite of the local movie theaters I normally go to. They have the best seating with nice recliners. I'm only deducting a star because it's sometimes rather difficult to get tickets here because everything seems to get reserved well in advance on line. So I normally check here first to see if I can get tickets before deciding on one of the other theaters in the area. read more

THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING. I went there for the movie Big Hero 6, which was pretty good. but while watching the movie I got six spider bites! six spider bites! it's ridiculous. in the span of not even two hours, I got bit six times. I had to move my seat and now I I have infections from these bug bites that caused me to go to the hospital. I'd like a refund or some form of compensation because I can't believe this movie theatre is so messy and disgusting that even in the late fall/almost winter now that I still manage to get six bug bites. DO NOT COME HERE FOR MOVIES UNLESS YOU ALSO WANT A TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL. THIS PLACE IS BEYOND GROSS. y'all need a health inspector. and they charged me $9.50 for matinee. this place is overpriced, disgusting, and not worth my time. read more

My neighborhood Regal Cinemas was built in the mid 90s and faithfully served the community. Since then, however, its become much quieter and hasn't kept up technically with the other large theaters in the area. The sound and film quality are fine, but for big action movies, people tend to trek to Lowe's on Rt 1 for their IMAX thrills. The theaters are smaller so the screens aren't as wide here. The ticket booth is outside (stinks for winter) and the seats are a little tired, but I still think they're comfy. Since I don't live in the area anymore, this was my first trip back in over five years. The place looks exactly the same. The staff are a little more disgruntled and the theaters are a bit emptier. Seeing a movie here is still nice, I think this place has just fallen behind a bit. Nothing wrong with it - just not as tricked out as its peers. The one pro here, however, is that they will show Bollywood movies. Prices are standard. read more

They have a good variety of Bollywood Movies. Based on that and that alone, it's good. Food options are not all that great. The popcorn is super super salty. The theater itself is a bit dated and while watching Raazi the other day the movie shut off then they turned it back on and they had fast-forwarded it but they 5 min later they noticed and shut it off and rewinded it and played it back. But it was a great experience regardless and the people are nice. read more

I would've gave Regal 16 3 stars before renovations but now it's a well deserved 4. The reclining lazy boy chairs are the best, the most comfortable for me of all theaters so far. Clean, spacious, and moving with the times: self-serve ticket kiosk and QRC online tickets check-in anyone? Employees are polite and nice in that removed I'm-doing-my-job way so all good. Really the only possible downside is that the theaters fit less people than before the renovations. Plus side, more space and less of a chance in encountering rude or loud movie go-ers. What's the same: Some arcade machines still remain and a few theater rooms are still smaller than others. What's great is Regal shows Indian movies (thanks geographic population) and sometimes hosts 1-2 day special events like Princess Mononoke's 20th anniversary in January and Spirited Away's 15th anniversary this past December. The renovations are still fairly new so give Regal a chance. read more

An average old looking movie theater but one of my local ones. The staff is usually teenagers and young adults. The popcorn is hit or miss being stale. On Friday and Saturday nights there's usually teens being loud at times but lots of families come here as well. Seats are average and nothing special. The theaters can be big or very small. There's usually a good selection of movies around. Overall, I'd come back every now and then. read more

When you reserve tickets online they have a quick ticket scanner system. Tickets and snacks are overpriced. Most of the screens are good but one had a black spot during the whole movie which was annoying. The recliner seats are very comfortable but they aren't in all of the theaters. read more

Just saw spiderverse. The sound quality was wonky for parts of the film couldn't tell if it was the cinema or not. This place has bad parking but luckily it's never packed so you'll find a spot, concession's are decent but overall the theater could be a lot cleaner and the seat recliners could be better eh read more

Pros: All theater's internally have been redone and look fantastic with plenty of room. Cons: YOU'RE PAYING FOR THE PROS. Trust. Went last night to see IT (tail end of the theater-run, even in one of those small theaters which goes to show that it's only a matter of days before it's out of the theaters) and tickets were still over $14!!! for a movie that was not 3D, no iMax, no surround sound, NOTHING. A normal 2D movie at $14+, and then add the Fandango $1.50 "convenience fee" on top of it, paid just shy of $16 for a movie ticket. Absolutely ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves for jacking up their ticket prices to cover the cost of their remodeling. Doubt I'll ever go back there again with those prices. Some dude next to me had an enormous bucket of popcorn...I can only imagine how much he paid for that. Thumbs up on remodeling. Thumbs WAY down on pricing. read more

Costs more than AMC and seats are LITERALLY broken. Went this past weekend to watch a movie. Bought tickets online with reserved seating. Once we got to the theater, we found the seat we reserved was literally broken and the bottom of the seat was just hanging down (yes took pictures and will try to upload). Luckily we thought we got there early and can get it fixed or moved. When i brought it up to employees, they immediately knew of the issue as many had already complained. Yet, manager would not move our assigned seats or refund. We decided to watch the movie in discomfort as we really were looking forward to the movie. We will never go back to a Regal again. Maybe I was spoiled for the first quarter century of my life. The movie theaters I grew up with were somewhat affordable ($5 matinees and movie nights respectively), had stadium seating, were clean, and well kept. I can't speak for the entire Regal chain but this theatre in particular is a bit of a disappointment. If you have the stones to charge $11 to see a movie on a Wednesday night, then at least make it worth my while. As others have said, the outdoor ticket booth is inconvenient in cold weather and turned out to be closed. So instead I waited in line to buy tickets from a small station next to the snack bar. Once I entered the theatre I was disappointed that it was not very big and as another review described it, almost off center from the screen. People are going to the movies less and less because of the outrageous ticket prices, people talking during movies, and the crazy price of snacks. Going to the movies used to be a cheap night out on the town but not so much anymore. The only thing I can give this theatre credit for is cleanliness, which unfortunately is the only good thing I can say about them. If you absolutely have to go to the movies, I would avoid this place if possible. Otherwise, you may have the same disappointing experience that I encountered. read more

If a theater doesn't have a recline seats, I don't even bother. Luckily this place has one. They have their ticket boths on the outside of the building but there are kiosks when you enter. It's a very clean theater. The size of theater is decent, but it can get crowded pretty quickly. They have assigned seating which has pros and cons. Pros being you don't have to worry about finding the perfect seat. The cons are that it's difficult to coordinate with a group or people because you'll have to wait for your entire group if you want to purchase tickets in order to get seats next to each other. read more
