The movie theater itself was large but with a very small screen compared to how big the theater is. The sound was very quiet for a movie theater, had a tough time hearing the movie or previews. The popcorn was okay, didn't taste fresh and hot. The seats recline but are a little older and not as comfortable as some other theaters. People talked through the whole movie too. read more

I got in here post work last week to catch Toy Story 4. I had some credits in the Atom app, and this was the most convenient theatre in my options. I had no complaints. I came in 20 minutes prior, and the screen was open. Seats were clean. The recliners were comfortable. I didn't try any food or drink options available outside, but they did smell good. Went to see Fate of the Furious and the computer crashed, we sat in the theatre for ten minutes staring at a white Windows exception screen, finally went to find someone to fix the problem. So,'set it and forget it' is what they do here apparently. If someone had just stopped for a minute to make sure the movie was playing, it would have been great, but the fact that we had to go tell one of the staff there was even a problem is unacceptable. We went to the theater on a Tuesday night at 6:30. It's not like it was packed. The lobby was absolutely filthy. It looked like a popcorn explosion went off and they just left it there. I actually asked if I could get a refund if our theater was as filthy as the lobby. Bathroom was dirty too. It's really gone downhill. I just came back from watching Knives Out at Regal Cinemas. It was not a pleasant experience. Immediately after sitting down, you're faced with a choice. Recline your chair (which is very comfortable) or see the entire screen. Because of the way the theatre is designed, with a giant wall behind each row of seats, if you choose to recline the bottom 2 feet of the movie screen is cut off by said wall. That was my first irritation, slight as it was. The second annoyance came 45 minutes into the movie when I decided to purchase a snack. The concessions were already closed. You'd think they'd leave open at least one register until all of the movies were at over or mostly over. Isn't that how they make their money? The last and most frustrating issue came with 15 minutes left in the movie. The sound cut out which I assumed was some sort of technical glitch. I quickly went to find someone but there was nobody manning the lobby. I looked everywhere. After 10 or so minutes I finally found an employee that explained that it was their fault that the sound went out - that they didn't realize anyone was in the theatre because they couldn't see anyone's heads. There were many heads in the theatre but it makes sense that they couldn't see any of them as the theatre is designed in such a way that it's probably impossible to see anyone's heads from the projection room. In any case, you'd think they could wait a few more minutes until the movie ended. Or check if anyone bought tickets for the movie. Or walk into the theatre to confirm it was empty. Missing the last 15 minutes of a whodunit movie means missing the big reveal, which is especially frustrating. As compensation, they gave me a free ticket. Of course I'll probably have to use the ticket to see the end of the movie I already paid for so really all they did was waste my time. read more

One of the night cleaning staff tried to steal my friends phone. We were the last movie of the night and we walked out and realized we forgot it but the doors were automatically locked and it seemed like all the staff left before the movie was even over. We tried to call but ended up leaving and deciding to come back as soon as they opened. They said they didn't find anything and they allowed him to search his spot but then ultimately said they didn't find anything and they would call if they did. The next day after his phone was put into lost mode and wouldn't be able to work an employee called from the phone saying they found it and to come pick it up. Originally we tried called the phone and it went straight to voicemail and the location was stuck at the theater so we assumed it died. When getting the phone back it wasn't dead and the location was turned off. The employees at the counter refused to talk to him when collecting the phone . read more

My husband bought my two sons and I seats to the new Elemental movie. It was the theater at the far end and my son (5) has to use a walker. My hands were full of snacks from the theater and his younger brother (3) wasn't capable of helping and we were unable to make it to the movie by ourselves. I asked an employee if they had wheelchairs, he said no. I asked him to help us he carried the food I purchased and I carried my son and his walker. He sat us in what I thought were our seats after showing him the barcode screenshot on my phone. Then family came and said we were in their seats I explained why we were there and I immediately got up and moved our things and my son's. The woman ran off and got a two managers. They storm in tells us to move when at that point we were now in our appropriate seats. I tried to explain the confusion had already been resolved and there is no need to be aggressive. He threatened to kick me out because he heard (from that woman)I made an outburst earlier after getting called out for stealing the families seats. My children start crying because they don't understand, why he is yelling and threatening us. I'm trying to explain that we moved right away and he keeps repeating what the woman told him and threatening to kick me out of the theater. He finally left after saying if anyone else comes and these aren't really our seats he'll happily kick us out. I provided him our barcode and he chose not to scan it. Do not come to this theater the managers are aggressive and have no customer service skills. Their management clearly lacks any training. EDIT: After the movie I stopped the husband and said hey the manager's told me your wife was really upset about everything. I just want to say I'm sorry they put us in your seats the manager said I embarrassed her and that wasn't my intention but they came over and yelled at us and I really don't appreciate it. I was my youngest's first time at the movie and we were really looking forward to it being a special night. The wife overheard and came over she said you're kidding me. She told me she stormed out to tell the manager that their staff put us in the wrong seats and she was embarrassed she had to ask us to move because she could see my hands were full with my two littles one being in a full leg cast. She told them to come make it right and apologize to me for the error. To which they offered her tickets and she said no they need to talk to me. She and her husband were very kind and apologetic. I walked to the service desk to speak to the manager. I told him the original situation, that I didn't appreciate the way they handled it. You can't steal peoples seats and our unless you know the name of our staff who put you there then it didn't happen because we would never put you in the wrong seats. I said check you cameras. I never made a scene, he put us in those seats after I asked for help. You can't treat people this way, you can't make kids cry and not offer even an apology for the error you and your staff made. You made it seem like that woman was furious with me but she was upset with you. I asked for his name and the name of the manager who was with him earlier, he refused and asked my name with an attitude which I provided. I like Regal Deerfield. It is a great place to see a movie. We watched Frozen 2 with our family over the Holidays. Love the reclined seats. What I don't understand is that for the matinee if you needed tickets you needed to get in the concession line. The concession lines were extremely long because people were buying popcorn and/or tickets. This may make sense to manage theatre staffing, but is not a good experience for the movie goer. We had purchased our tickets online and paid that crazy ticket fee which is a racket. I don't want to have to wait in line with a bunch of people needed to buy tickets when all I need is overpriced popcorn. read more

It's super easy now to order tickets ahead of time online and pick out your seats! Although you do have the processing fees...but no wait in line! Overall the movie theater was clean and it was a good experience since it's been quite some time since I was last there. This location is my go-to theatre for movies, mostly due to the proximity to my house. After last Friday night, I believe it will be worth my time and money to travel further for a better movie experience. My wife and I went to see a movie and knew we would need to get tickets ahead of time. After jostling movie times from various theaters we reluctantly settled on the 9:15 showing, booked the tickets on my app, and were not super-thrilled about having a $3.00 "convenience fee" added on top of tickets that were already over $12 per. (Other theaters in the evening had some as low as $9 also WITHOUT the convenience fee, but this worked better for the rest of our schedule.) Got to the theatre and there was the usual buzz of a Friday night. Went to the ticket kiosk to show my phone and the guy working was good, but nothing to write home about it. No qualms with him. We were in the theatre at 8:54p and it was a DUMP. Walking to our seats, another couple had placed a tub of popcorn and various other pieces of trash in the aisle because it was in their seats (I asked.) Our seats were covered in popcorn. So, I gentlemanly brushed the popcorn off so my wife could sit down and not sit in another person's actual trash. We were then titillated to 20 something minutes of a stupid video game app that no one in the theatre was bothering to download. Just before showtime, I ran out to the concession stand to get popcorn. The wait time was decent and the kids (more on that in a minute) seemed to be working hard, but there was a severe lack of leadership. When I became second-in-line, two middle-aged woman in front of me ordered two Michelob Ultras. The ~17 y/o guy working looked around the booth and said, "We have no one here to sell those to you." They left without making a purchase. I put my order in, the two guys working my register worked hard and were quick, kinda friendly, but not super high on CS. As they were getting my order ready, I had to go over TWO ordering lines to find napkins that were stocked. Got my popcorn and headed back into the theatre. There, I was treated to 25 minutes of mostly crap previews. Is going beyond 15 minutes really necessary? Our 9:15 movie started at 9:40. As we were leaving, a kid with his parents in front of me, upon throwing trash away like good movie patrons commented, "Wow, this trash can is just a pile--it looks like Jenga." His words, not mine, but absolutely described the experience ever so eloquently. Whoever was in charge on 1/17 needs disciplinary action. There were PLENTY of people working, but a theatre was entirely missed for a cleaning, probably twice. The concession stand missed out on sales because of where people were placed. Upon a visit to the bathroom, there was one 18 y/o employee YELLING to three teenagers younger than him at the end of the hall to go to a different theatre. One of them shot back, "We're already working on something else." (That bathroom visit BTW, its a guessing game as to which soap dispensers and faucets actually work.) You should be embarrassed for my experience from last night. $25+ for a filthy theatre, 25+ minutes of commercials, numerous non-working items in a restroom, and a convenience fee is a slap in the face. read more

This was something new that I found when I moved to this city. I had only been to a theater once where there was reclining chairs and that was in Houston, TX. Using the app to buy your tickets is one of the cool things about this place too. You can choose where you will sit, which is nice because I can do it way ahead of time. These theaters are so clean when you walk in. There is plenty of food and drinks to choose from and they even have a rewards program. I get free upgrades for drinks and popcorn all of the time. As far as size goes, it's just like any theater, you have large and small theater rooms. The best thing about this place is how comfortable you are during the movie. I've been to some of the AMC theaters where you sit in these uncomfortable crappy blue chairs. This is nothing like that. These seats recline to your desired position and you can sit back and enjoy the movie. The sound and picture quality are great too! I will continue to visit this location of Regal. read more

The bathroom is a little interesting in terms of every stall needs a new toilet seat because it brings down the value of the place (you will have the desire to look into every stall to find a job option). I would not recommend sitting in the back half of the theater because the wall cuts off an inch of the screen which is just actually super annoying. But the front half is perfect. read more

I think this is probably my favorite theater in the area, and not just because its close to my home. The chairs are super comfy and rock back a little bit so you can get a good angle on the screen and be relaxed at the same time, and the arm rests move up and out of the way if you want to be closer to your sweetie. The bathrooms are normally very clean, only a couple occasions they were not. The theaters themselves always seem to be well taken care of between screenings, and I appreciate that! I'm a fan. It seems to be that all movie theaters are running about the same price--and this theater is pretty competitive pricewise. A movie ticket is about $11.70 when you purchase it online. Seniors and children prices are $8.70. I believe they are cheaper during the day. Overall, the facility is clean. They have upgraded most of the theaters to the recliner seats. You can go on the Fandango app and choose your seats beforehand. They have lots of theaters, which means several screens and showings. Don't forget to become a regal royal member. It's like a Kroger card. Every time you use it, you get points back to your account. Those points transfer into free movie tickets and snacks. read more

First time I've been back to Regal Deerfield since covid, although I've been to other theaters like Mariemont and Springdale Showcase. They always start the movie trailers at the scheduled show time, and commercials before the show time. Went to see the CS Lewis movie Saturday at 2:10 and were subjected to at least a half hour of commercials (no movie trailers) and the movie started at least 10 minutes late. My friend got fed up and walked out before the movie started. It was extremely annoying and disappointing. read more

I just went there today, the service is great. I went to see a Pokémon movie which was a special event distributed by fathom events.. It was the premiere of the 21st movie but unfortunately they did not have the Japanese version with subtitles available. The English voice acting was bad but it was worth going because it's Pokémon. One star for easy parking and one star for comfortable reclining seats, but overall this theater is one of the worst in Greater Cincinnati. We go to a ton of movies, so we frequent local theaters often. I have no idea why anyone would ever choose this theater unless you live in Mason and are too lazy to drive an extra 10 mins anywhere else. I do not live in Mason, but was forced to come here after being given 4 free tickets as a Christmas gift. I had written it off in past years, as every other time it sucked for the reasons I will expand upon below. As it turns out, it still hasn't gotten better. Ticket prices are not competitive compared to Envision, the indies (Kenwood/Mariemont/Esquire), Cinemark, Cobb. When I used my free "Ultimate Ticket" gift certificate/card I received as a Christmas gift, I still had to pay a $3 surcharge for each ticket. What?! If all merchants start requiring recipients of gift cards to pay a surcharge to use their gift cards, that's gonna kill that industry pretty quickly. Bad taste. Disgusting bathrooms. Atrocious. I'm talking every stall. Inexcusable, especially on a quiet weekend afternoon. Food. Stale popcorn. Every. Single. Time. I go this theater maybe once every 2 years, and this never changes. No bar. Customer service. Takes forever to get tickets, even with no one in line. Why is this? This last trip, we were actually sold tickets to the wrong movie. Upon discovering this inside, we had to wait for a manager to switch it out and lost our assigned seats to the movie we actually wanted. Need to step it up, in about every area. We still have 2 "free" tickets (with a $6 surcharge just for the privilege of using them - LOL - I can get a movie ticket for $6 to about any other local theater with the myriad deals available on any given day) left over from Christmas, but I probably will pitch them as it's not worth it to deal with all of the above. read more

I'm giving 1 star only for theatres #1 & 16 BACK ROW! Do not sit if if you'd like to see the entire screen. My husband is 6'1 and even he could not see full screen. My 9 year old missed half the movie because it was too hard for him to keep sitting on his feet. The wall in front of the seats is too high, blocking the bottom 1/3 of the screen. I'm told Regal Corporate is aware of issue after multiple complaints and is ignoring the issue. We have seen movies here probably 20 times and I'm a Regal Crown Club member but we have apparently never sat in Theatres #1 or 16 BACK ROW before because we have never experienced this issue. The problem is, you don't necessarily know which theatre the movie you have purchased online and reserved your seats in might be theatre #1 or #16, so until they fix the problem we won't be going back! What's the point of a reclining chair when you can't use it!!!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, REGAL!!!!! read more

Not a fan. Over $20.00 for 2 large drinks and a large popcorn. Their movie prices were also higher than other theaters. The biggest complaint is the new seating. They have the recliners, and my third and fourth graders could not recline all the way due to the big black wall blocking their view. The other complaint is that the screen in our theater was small. Most upgraded theaters have an entire wall as the screen. Also order online because there is very limited seating. We bought 4 tickets, three hours early for a movie that had been in theaters for three weeks and ended up with seats in the very back and in the four seats closest to the isle. Priority seating could be nice because you don't have to arrive early for the movie. read more

We recently tried out the new theatre. It was right beside Relish Modern Tapas - where we enjoyed the most amazing flavors. Most like dinner and a movie on date night. This is an hour drive from our home - so our hopes were high. It was a Saturday, so the parking lot was packed. The price was right. The staff was eager to serve. The chairs were quite comfy, but maybe a little too close together (bumped a few times). The restrooms were different in that the soap, water, and hand dryer were all right in front of you for each station. I do like the high power jet dryers. The movie was really good - so we walked away quite content. read more
