Wanting to see a new movie in IMAX. Regal is a local theater with IMAX so clearly best place to go to see it. $25 a seat. Pricey but better than in some other locals. The theater is a bit on the older side and could use some up dating. Sound system could have been better. Seats in the IMAX theater don't recline. The "leather" is aging. The bathrooms are upstairs (not an option when seeing a 3 hour movie). Not my first choice for going to the theater to see a movie. read more

This movie theater is expensive. I don't have a movie membership because I only come here when there's a special movie playing that's not at Cinemark. But wow, I can't even complain that much since they have reclining seats at this location. I almost feel like I'm in my living room - except for all the surrounding strangers. Usually there's no one at the box office (depending on the time of day), so I frequently pay at the kiosks inside the theaters. Then I go up to the concession stand, and someone rips my ticket and points me to the right theater. Plus, this theater is located right next to the Outlets, so it's always a good excuse to go shopping after the movie. read more

NOT true IMAX! Abhorrent greedy liars, the owners of Regal Edwards Camarillo should be ashamed of passing off their theater as an authentic IMAX experience. Small screen (and non-IMAX aspect ratio!), average sound, average picture quality with artifacts on screen. I'm not even mentioning the bad seats and dirtiness. AND YET, Regal demands you pay premium IMAX ticket pricing for a garbage theater with falsely advertised IMAX screens. Shameless company with no respect for us movie goers' time or wallets. Just drive 10 minutes to the Cinemark theater at The Collection. Their XD screens are actually amazing with great sound, which is where I plan to watch big movies like Nolan's Odyssey from now on. Or try the Adobe AMC theater in Thousand Oaks. If you want expensive $$$ and lies, choose Regal. read more

Was visiting Camarillo and went to see Toy Story 5. Regal Edwards is located on Ventura Blvd a short block away from the Outlets. I was immediately greeted by the young lady, the ticket taker. I ordered my adult matinee ticket as well as my snack from the kiosk preceding the nice ticket taker. It was ok to bring my bottled water/hydro flask in. So I proceeded to pick up my snack which were the mini corndogs at the preordered counter. The movie was in Auditorium 10 which is a room with stadium seating and comfy recliners. It's clean with cupholders at every seat. Kinda odd that on the first floor is only one family/disability restroom. The main restrooms are upstairs. Overall a pleasant experience. read more

The absolute best place for an adult birthday party! I just hosted my birthday party at the Regal Edwards Camarillo Palace, and it was flawless. There is plenty of easy parking, the food was great, and the theaters were super clean and comfortable. It easily accommodated the elders in our family, which was incredibly important to me. The entire staff was outstanding, but the manager, Michael Arias, deserves the highest praise. He answered all my emails promptly, met with us to plan, and had his crew completely prepped and ready to help us set up the room the second we arrived. He checked on us constantly and gave us top-tier service. We had a fabulous time. If you want a stress-free, perfect celebration, this is the spot! read more

Came here last week for The Meet-Up At The Movies screening of The Grateful Dead Movie. This was my second time seeing an IMAX format movie here, and this time it was personal. Personal as there was actually a chance I might see myself in the movie. A small chance but a chance nonetheless. The Grateful Dead Movie is a concert film that captures the band in 1974 playing live at Winterland in San Francisco. I was at one of the five concerts that were filmed for the movie. The movie spends almost as much time showing the audience as it does the band. The cameras weave through the crowd inside and outside the venue, before, during and after the show. I saw the movie theatrically when it first came out in 1977, and I've probably seen it another dozen times over the years. After the first couple screenings I quit looking for myself in the crowd scenes. But this was the first time I would be seeing the movie in IMAX, and a freshly remastered print on top of that. I imagined the larger format might afford me a better view of the audience. Maybe, just maybe, I'd catch a glimpse of 19 year old Mikey. Imagine the prospect of going to a concert, then fifty years later seeing your 19 year old self twenty feet high on an IMAX screen? Would I even recognize myself? Well we'll never know because once again I failed to spot myself in the crowd. Not really surprising of course, I knew it was a long shot. My son celebrated his birthday at Regal Cinemas in Camarillo. When it came to customer service and responsiveness, Regal was the best. Santa Rosa was too expensive and the only way I got a response from Cinemark was when I walked into the theater to talk about the GM. My seat did not recline so I told staff and she gave me new seat, same problem. She admitted the seats break...and I guess don't get fixed?? Also, the concession stand does not have all the items/prices easily displayed above stand, like usual, very weird. They have a lame typed sheet by the register. I'm assuming it is a marketing ploy-- you order your items without knowing the majorly inflated prices!!! Movie was good, that was it!! read more

SUPE rope and outdated. My reserved seat was broken and wouldn't recline. I move over two seats next to my daughter and it reclined and got STUCK! Also it's hot outside and the theater is warm. I asked them to turn ac on. The staff member said it's and old building and fluctuates a lot. Smh. Will not return. Do not recommend. This place has gone to sh@#. We stood in line for concessions and the people behind the counter skipped right over us to help someone else. Very rude! Then we mentioned it to two people and they didn't even care. Finally someone took our order and then once they were done they refused to give us our popcorn. We had to ask a manager person to help. Absolutely unbelievable horrible customer service. These people should be fired. This really soured our experience before the movie even began. Once we got into the theater, we noticed that all the seats reclined. They were comfortable, but the problem is they need serious upkeep. All the chairs needed some WD40. First of all, the employe did not even know what Auditorium my movie is located. The auditoriums did not have any movie titles outside the door. Restrooms were not clean. Piles of toilet seat paper, tissue paper were scattered all over the restroom. Missing toilet paper rolls inside stalls. Trash overflowing. Then the seats, most of it on my row And above me were old, peeling and lost support. Just waiting for it to give way. This is my first time in this theater and it is very disappointing. read more

OK, so this is overdue. I was visiting in Camarillo about a month ago and I'm a movie killer and I was a real cinemas. I forget the movie I watched and I had a situation arise or back up. I like this regal cinema. The food is fresh. The soda taste good out of the dispenser And I find the theaters clean. I do wish they had recliner chairs, which as we all know is the common these days, but it is what it is. Anyways, so I ran into a challenge and sought out the help of management, which, on this particular evening was a young assistant manager by the name of Miguel I was very upset and unhappy, but I was very constructive and respectful and basically Miguel demonstrated textbook perfect customer service and leadership qualities and he listened he cared. He was empathetic and let me vent constructively because it's important to be respectful. Sharing one's experience or pointing something out is one thing how we conduct ourselves to treat people is another From the time I saw help, and Miguel arrived to the end of our discussion. He completely turned me around in a total 180 because of his genuine, authentic professional and personable skills and mindset. I was really impressed and I told him so and memory serves me correct he's on an upper management track which is in my humble opinion as a consume as an experienced consumer and someone who has been in a lot of professional positions over the years I know talent and authentically someone who cares And regal is very fortunate to have Miguel as part of their staff and their management team Anyways, so sorry McGill is taking me a little while to write this I told you I was gonna write this. She's been dealing with a lot of stuff and so here it is without any more waiting. Thank you again for everything you did and you are your top shelf, man and your favorite goes for the Theater because if we don't consumers, they may go out of business. A lot of them already have Because of streaming services. We just saw Avatar: The Way of Water in 3D. It is an IMAX theater with amazing sound! You choose your own seats. I recommend joining the free club. Our tickets were $13.55 each because it was Tuesday. Scroll down for the RCC price. Once you join the club they will remember you at the concession stand when you provide your phone number. Popcorn is 1/2 off on Tuesdays. Hubby bought the hot dog. We shared the soda. The seats are comfy. I was surprised that they do not recline all the way like they do at other theaters. That's about it. In our theater, #7, the screen went dark when they were supposed to play previews. There were only around 30 of us patrons in the theater. I got up to check on what was up. When I returned I lightheartedly announced, They will see what's up and fix the problem. What a polite audience. I received several thank yous. That was really sweet. Great movie. People are rude and stingy over every single penny. Paying nearly 100$ for an iMax movie for two people, one pop corn and a drink. It's become run down, chairs completely gross and worn out and it's just not a great place. Management is rude there as well. We have started going to other theaters for now on. We wanted to see the new F1 formula movie on IMAX and Camarillo was the closest theater to us that has IMAX! So we drove almost 2 hours to go to the theater and everyone at the concession stand was really nice and helpful and the movie was terrific, and we had heard complaints about the theater and the seats in the IMAX, but everything was fine! We sat in the very last top of the row and the seats were really comfortable and then later on when we were Leaving we sat in some of the other seats on our way out and they seem just fine! I don't know why people were complaining about the seats or the theater? We really enjoyed the movie and it was worth the ride.!!! read more

This theater needs to be remodeled! Unfortunately, it's the only IMAX theater in town and the part of ventura county off the 101 freeway. I think there is one in Simi Valley (off the 118). I don't even mind paying $22 for a movie ticket regardless of when it's being shown (no matinee prices for IMAX). What irritates me the most is the restrooms are up stairs! Whose genius ideas was this? Just watched a 3hr IMAX 3D movie in Avitar 2 and because I didn't order a drink I was okay but afterwards it's still not easy to go up stairs. It's not my favorite theater in town and if it wasn't for the IMAX option, I don't think I'd ever watch a movie here. Also, the chairs in the IMAX theater don't recline! So annoying ! I can't speak for the other (non-IMAX) screens, but my wife tells me some of them have recline back chairs. To no fault of the employees, this is a bad, old theater that really need to be remodeled! Perhaps me (and others) not going here regularly will put it out of its misery. read more

I think the employees show up to work at the same time the first movie starts because nothing was prepared or ready for guest. I had to wait 15 minutes for a hot dog and when I asked why they weren't prepared ahead of time before opening, the employee said "because nobody comes to watch an 11:15 showing." The popcorn was old and cold. My popcorn tin bucket from Christmas was fresher than theirs. I purchased a $10 fountain drink and the soda was flat and the other 3 Diet Coke options weren't working. When I told them they weren't working they looked at me like I was growing a d!$k out of my forehead. So I attempted to try other drink options and discovered none of the drinks worked. I asked if maybe the drinks weren't turned on and after they finally decided to check, they too discovered the fountain drinks were not turned on. I think with recent days and politics, not as many movie goers are spending time and money at the theater. With the lack of customer service and the lack of any "give a sh!#ts" this place will be out of business in no time! read more

Hot tip: BRING EARPLUGS The sound levels in the IMAX theater are potentially loud enough to damage hearing. Besides that, the experience was good. Plenty of parking, very comfortable seats, small IMAX screen. As others noted, the bathrooms are upstairs. there were plenty of stalls, but several were out of commission or needed cleaning.
