Buy tickets at the theater and save yourself the online fee. 2 small bottles of water and 1 candy was $17. I know they make the majority of their money from the concession sales but I will forever complain at those prices. However; I felt like $12 a movie ticket was pretty reasonable. I like Chinemark Century Riverpark and XD. Located inside a shopping center, it's an extremely convenient spot for grabbing a bite and shopping before or after a movie. The theater staff is friendly. I heard that every Tuesday you could watch movies at a discounted price (around $6-$7) all day long, excluding premium screenings like XD and 3D, so I'd like to take advantage of that next time. I think it's good that they've started serving alcohol recently. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby, so I've never had any problems. read more

As a person who doesn't have a $10,000 home setup, I have to admit that there's a certain movie magic that you get at the movie theater that a TV or tablet just can't provide. Cinemark Riverpark is an okay place to catch the latest flick. The place wasn't too busy during our morning showing, so we were able to sit almost in the middle of a row. Some seats here supposedly recline, but ours did not. We also had the old style seats where you share an armrest with someone on both sides. The movie was fine but the volume was a bit too loud for our liking, though that seems to be the trend everywhere now. I noticed some trash under our seats, so hopefully the attendants who came in after the movie took care of it. The bathroom was clean enough, so at least someone is doing their job there. A lot of reviews from a few years ago talk about the strict policy against large bags. We didn't have one, so I don't know what the situation is now. But that's something to be aware of. read more

I really enjoyed this location. It was the first time that I had gone. The seats were very comfy although you could tell definitely the leather or whatever material it was was definitely worn, but I do like how they recline really far back and the service was very prompt as far as bringing food and drinks. I don't like this theater because the size, it a huge theater so there's plenty of seats and I also like the location. However after visiting I really missed the reclining seats and this theater doesn't have those. I do like that there's plenty of seats so there's room to see a movie last minute but those seats are also really close together. Popcorn was good and hot dogs were good. The staff was helpful. And I do like their self check in option because I always purchase my tickets online and I'm usually running late so no time to stand in line. read more

My family loves this area reason why, because there is alot of different types of food spots here next to the theater. This theater also has alot to offer they have mini pizza hut, buttery popcorn, cold fountain drinks and the also have adult beverages. MANAGER - #1 It was freezing cold! #2 The lights went to dim but the theatre was never dark. The two most important things. This was the 1st showing, last day of The Chosen Part 1 and it was so miserable cold that I never went back to see Part 2 & 3. I am a big move goer and this is the theater I feel the most comfortable at. I am a movie member on there app 10/10 only if you go often!!! I do so getting a free ticket, 25% off on concessions, and no online fees are AWESOME!! Tuesdays are the cheapest days $7.50/7 a ticket but if you are a movie member they can drop to 5.50/6 bucks This place is either super empty or super full. I recommended going on a weekday! Less people and easier to get around. I will say tho, going to see a highly anticipated movie come out at a full theater here is pretty fun!! The staff here is chill, it's mostly teenagers and young adults. It sucks they don't have reclining seats but honestly for me it isn't a problem:)). The theaters are pretty big!! Especially the dbox one I will say I've gone so many times and seen it all. Sometimes the volume is super low or high, a technical difficulty, they forget to turn the lights off. Once even forgot to start the movie but every single time if something ever did happen we would let staff know and they would fix it! They would always be very sweet and apologetic at times like those. Screen and speakers are the BEST here. Feels fully immersed in watching ur movie Dbox is cool but not always necessary. The tickets can be more expensive, and sometimes the seats won't move much depending on the movie you watch. The seats are also kind of uncomfortable, so I wouldn't recommend for a two hour plus movie. There is 30 minutes of ad when your movie starts time. So if your movie is at 3:45 it will actually begin at 4:15. Bathrooms are always clean unless it is super busy, then I understand. Because an entire theater will walk out of the restrooms and mess them up really quick. There is plenty of parking!!!! That is a plus This place is located in a great area where there is so much to do!! My best advice for this movie theater is, if you plan on going on a weekend, buy your tickets in advance (to secure a seat) and get there about 10 minutes before your movie starts. That gives you enough time in case the concessions are packed for you to get your snacks and to still make it to the movie on time and avoid the ads. I recommend this place to everybody. Like this cinema. The seats aren't as comfy but it's newer than other theaters. They have Starbucks and Pizza Hut or Dominos, I can't remember. Other typical movie theater food too. Since this theater is in The Collection and it is a popular place, it can get busy. They have discount days and early bird specials. read more

Came the other night to see a movie with a friend and it was my first time coming to this movie theater. It's a fairly large theater and they have an excellent selection of movies and tasty bites. The biggest reason I gave 5 stars is because the staff here not only were super friendly but they want above and beyond for me. I'll tell you more: So I am guilty to say I had a couple of cocktails and beers pre movie which pretty much adds to this story lol. I mean the collection has a great few bars what can I say....okay I digress. Anyways, when ordering some food with my friend at the popcorn and drink counter inside the theater, I apparently (being distracted and having a good time) totally left my credit card behind at the counter there! My friend and I walked off without either of us catching it and rushed over to the theater to see our movie. Sat down in the theater, munched on popcorn, completely oblivious that I didn't have my credit card. Literally within 10 minutes a staff comes through the theater, to my seat, verifies my name, and then hands me back my credit card. He didn't make it a big thing and was so kind, he waltzed off like it was no hassle. But having realized what happened, these poor people had to take the time to figure out under my credit card name, what ticket I purchased, and then to figure out what theater and seat I was sitting in, just to bring me back my card. It's a miracle I got my card back just in the general sense and that the movie theater crew went above and beyond to get it back to me. The staff here are not only all of the great things I look for when leaving 5 stars for hospitality (kind, friendly, efficient, hardworking) but HONEST. That is really big in my books and I commend the way this theater and staff handled the situation. They made an honest mistake on my part easily figured out and saved me a lot of stress. This happened around 7:50pm on Saturday 9/21/24 - just want to be super specific in case their management or owners read this so that this crew could get an extra shout out and kudos, because they were awesome. I'll definitely be bringing my business back here to this movie theater. Aside from how well staff handled getting me back my card I was really happy with my movie going experience here with a friend. Purchasing tickets was super easy, the food all tasted fresh - as they had a large selection, fun cocktails, and the movie theater was clean and upgraded. Went to see a movie with the family !! Movie starts at 5:15 pm . Place is crowded , and crazy ! There's a mess everywhere! Went to see dead pool , great movie! I didn't like the fact that the movie was to be at 5:15 but didn't actually play until 5:49 pm . I wasn't too happy with the cashiers in the pop corn area , very rude . What's rated PG: This movie theater is located in the Collection and there's plenty of of parking in the nearby parking structure (typically). The theater is generally clean, although I'm not sure if you can ever get rid of the stickiness of the movie floor from all that popcorn butter. That's baked in. However, the bathrooms are always tidy and there are plenty of stalls to use for the post theater bathroom rush. The chairs are comfortable and I can easily endure a 3-hour movie (looking at you marvel movies and James Cameron), but hey, it would totally be nice if you ever wanted to upgrade to recliners Century! ;-) What's rated PG-13: The popcorn and food prices in general is not for the faint of heart, but this is how theaters make their money. My husband loves their hot dogs and the nachos are pretty good. So far, the pizza hasn't returned and I'd love if they added chicken tenders or fries to the menu (or back to the menu?) in the future. What's rated R: the XD theatre (theater number 16) is the movie theatre that's the largest, with a huge movie screen and higher quality sound. If you're dying to see a movie, you want to make sure you book your movie in this theater if available. There's also D box seats that move, but it's sooo expensive to buy. If the movie has a lot of action scenes, then it will move a lot, but otherwise, it's not worth it. I once bought tickets to sit in the D-box seats for what I thought was an action movie, but ended up being more of a conversational type movie with little action, so my D-box seat felt like it was moving on a gentle river. What's rated NC-17: The Century Riverpark 16 and XD recently got wine and beer up in here! Finally! Haven't tried it yet, but it's definitely available! No hard alcohol available, but it's a way to help you get through a movie your friend or partner dragged you to. Or maybe you did the dragging? Either way, everyone's a winner. Spoilers: The Cinemark movie club charges you $9.99/month and gives you a movie credit each month you're charged. This also entitles you to 20% off non-alcoholic drinks movie snacks. However, I don't know if that includes alcohol. Post-credit scene: You can ask for a cup of water and fill it up at the water fountain near the restrooms. You're welcome, I just saved you 1 million dollars on buying a bottle of water. ;-) read more

Went to this movie theater with our grandkids. The movie theatre is actually quite nice. The main thing that prevented me from leaving a 5 star review is the lack of reclining seats. The snack bar is quite large with a huge assortment of snack items. Seating is assigned, which I thought was a nice feature. Super easy to purchase tickets online and my favorite feature, getting to pick your seats ahead of time. We love traveling to Oxnard to visit this theater. Worth the drive! First off, I don't go to this theater at the Collection mostly because of the crappy traffic and pain in the butt drivers. Seems like everyone is in a rush to go 5 miles an hr to the next stop sign. But I Digress, Movie theatre was clean, concession stand was pleasant. We arrived 5 minutes prior to show time. I know they show previews so wasn't in a big rush to find my seat. Finally seated at show time, I sat through 6 M&M commercials (yes commercials) 4 car commercials, 2 State Farm Commercials and some other random ads totaling 27 minutes before the lights dimmed. WTF!!?? Then another 4 trailers for new movies. Other than the almost half hour of ads (my only real gripe) we enjoyed the movie. Just a heads up. Don't start eating your snacks till the movie actually starts!! read more

Caught the new Maverick movie over here. Been a while since we have been here, but this place is doing great. Easy to check in and get your treats before the movie. Very clean and spacious seating. Restrooms very clean as well. For seating, we opted for the "D-Box" experience, which made watching this action movie a lot more exciting!! Great movie venue when you are debating a Camarillo or Ventura theatre. Plus for restaurants nearby either before or after the show! read more

The only thing I like about this theater is the location. My first review I gave only 3 stars, but that's because it is a new theater in a good location, but since then, I have just felt that it's really not up to par considering all the better theaters around. But, I have stopped going here, after many times of going, I decided that it's not worth it for me. The theater seats are really uncomfortable, they're hard to get comfortable in, very narrow, definitely not for anyone over-weight even in the slightest, no elbow room, you feel like a sardine, in a sardine can, everyone is smashed together, no leg room, these seats are not recliners or anything nice, just jam packed seats and I won't take anyone here anymore because it's way too uncomfortable. There are way more comfortable seats all around Ventura County, why would I want to pay to sit in uncomfortable seats? Sorry, not coming here ever again. read more

Love my family times here it's very Convenient and with the ease of fandango intergrated with theater location, it honestly makes booking my family day extremely convenient. An with all good there's also not so good, Long lines at con-session stands seem to sit at a still forever 5-7min on Friday nights and weekends time varying of course like a traffic jam on the 405 with no carpool lane seems to explain it perfectly:-) but definitely not a deal breaker. They really need to have both sides and more staff on these peak times especially when new *cough* marvel*cough* movies come out. I love theirs a separate line to pay for your caffeine and ice cream cause sometimes this mama needs her fix after running around with 20kids literally and figuratively. Though the movie experience was okay and the morning staff was very helpful it's unfortunate that after loosing my wallet at a 10:20pm showing with only 7 other people in the whole theater no one for 6 rows in front of us still ends up missing Money. Only the clean up crew had access and had found the wallet. It's baffling they had the nerve to leave my lucky $2 that had some writing on itbut not my other money that was also in the same pocket wrapped around the same note as the $2 especially since it wasn't even located in the main compartment but where my cards are for safe keeping. Makes me feel very lucky to have gone to the bank previous to our date night or else a few $100's could have gone missing from staff taking their free tip, Update: Looks like I haven't been the only one robbed by staff even more recently read more

Do NOT sign up for the deceptive "movie club." If you don't use the ticket credits, they WILL expire after six months unless you continue to pay for renewals. So that's 1 ticket credit per month for a year and then another six months to use the credits and then POOF, they are GONE. Basically theft of the unused credits, unless you use 12 within 18 months or you pay them for more. And you have to sit through at least 20 minutes of trailers and ads before the movie actually starts. I do love a big screen and a good sound system, but with the movie club rip-off policy, I'm going to wait and watch the movies at home later, when the price is the same or lower. No reason at to go here. read more

This review is looong overdue, I can't even count the number of times I've been here, especially since it is right across the street :) Overall I think they have improved in service and in consistency, they have even started to add recliner seats which is great! But this is a very popular movie theater, I try to never-ever visit on its peak days/times. One thing I do appreciate from this movie theater is that they always have special price days that make it more affordable for large families to enjoy a movie without spending a hundred dollars. The only thing I wish they would improve on is their vending prices, sheesh!! It seems like every week the go up a few cents.. Although it is not the only theater I visit it is definitely one of my top two. As long you don't visit them on Friday or Saturday night, you'll for sure enjoy this place, and make sure to stop by Settebello before or after your flick for some delicious pizza!! read more

I can't believe this. We came tonight as a family my 2 brothers in law, my mother in law myself and my husband.. It is 30 minutes later the movie still hasn't started. I don't have time to waste. And we got there on time. My Mother in law just had a hip replacement and we understood there would be 10-15 minutes of credits but not 40-45 min of credits later. This is a bunch of crap. I enjoy coming back here and it's been like an old friend, as I went to a previous version of this location before the river park location was built and installed called Century 16 and for many years, I enjoy seeing films from Robots, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and the last of the Harry Potter films with the release of Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 played back to back on the opening night of the last HP film. Those memories will stay with me forever and so when it finally shut its doors and left for parts unknown, I truly was saddened as I thought I would never be able to see movies in comfort again like that of the one I missed. After that, the Riverpark location opened up and many of the same staff and quality from that previous location carried over to this one and I think it is still the tireless work of the people who come in every morning from managers, servers, custodians, projectionists, and more who contribute to the experience even when you are unable to see their work as that is the art of illusion that it is a seamless operation with little problems or if any flaws at all. It is also important to note that while these people are paid, I argue that if they provide good service but say a situation out of control arises such for example, they don't have any of your favorite drinks because it broke down, don't yell or squabble, simply tell them to thank them for what they can do and focus on what you can do to enjoy your visit to watch a good film. read more
