I love AMC Marina Pacifica. It's one of my favorites in my city. I highly prefer this theatre over Cinemark pike or Regal. Parking is great, you have choices from the front or back. There are two sides to the theater, with a selection of screens to your left or right of the box. There's always an employee available at the doors to help guide where you're going. They have a full bar on both sides. They have concession stands on each side. Flatbread, pretzels and popcorn are great. AMC offers a rewards program, paid and unpaid. Either way, you get points and free food and discount on tickets at times. Seats are nice, reclined and theaters are usually clean. They smell good. Bathrooms are busy but are pretty clean for the amount of traffic. read more

This AMC is more on the level of basic, but still very sufficient! It reminds me very much of the AMC Fullerton, where the theaters are split up, with half on the right side and half on the left side and a box office right in the middle. Each side was clearly labeled, so I could easily figure out where my theater was located. There was a friendly employee standing at each doorway too, to assist and scan as necessary. The lobby was small but still had a decent sized concession area. The popcorn smelled fresh and had I not just eaten, I probably would have gotten some! I made my way to my theater and found the seats to be fairly comfortable. I love how they recline! The theater was also very clean, so the staff does a great job with this! No stickiness or leftover food was found on my seat! The theater had both good picture and sound quality. I didn't see anything premium that needed enhancements, though. Parking was easy when I got there in their giant and free lot, located in the mall. When I left in the evening, the lot had filled up, but there were still some spots available. The view of the marina just steps away is gorgeous and there are also some restaurants and shops and even a gym here to enjoy before or after a film! It's in a great area, clean, and easy parking. but what really stood out this visit was the incredible service from the employees I've had ongoing problems with my AMC account that I've been struggling to resolve, but Jocelyn and her manager went above and beyond to help fix the issue. I've been to other AMC's that have just brushed my issue off, had no idea how to resolve it, or couldn't point me in the right direction. truly can't say enough how floored i was by their care, support, and follow through; it really shows just how supportive and knowledgeable the team here is. I don't go to movie theaters often, but I prefer recliner seats like they have here. 12 small theaters, but with only 6 rows of seats in theater 8, the screen size was good and satisfying. Air conditioning is low. There's a bar right as you walk in. Like regular snacks, I'm sure everything's overpriced, but it's nice to have some alcohol options. If you become an AMC member you get discounts and earn rewards. Not sure how but my member friend got a gigantic $11 bucket-sized popcorn and was able to refill it up to two times. It was a sold out show, minus the handicap seat next to me, which no one sat in; my handbag! Outside | When you purchase a ticket outside in the center, to the left and to the right are two totally different entrances/buildings, depending upon which theater you're in! Seating | Cozy reclining seats, which I enjoyed! Since we selected seats last minute, we weren't able to sit together, which is completely fine! After all, the entertainment is in front of us on the screen! Restrooms | Neat & tidy! This is one of my go to AMC Theaters. Love having the AMC Stubs pass and seeing a lot of new movies. This location has 2 sides for theaters and a lot of parking in the front and back, though weekends can get a little crowded, especially in the PM. Staff are always really nice and helpful. Theater has been clean when I have gone. Snacks taste fresh. Not a huge fan of the new cookies but will always love some popcorn (especially only paying $5 for a large with the popcorn pass for the year) and pretzel bites. read more

Went to go see Project Hail Mary last weekend. Upon entry to the theater, the friendly young woman informed me that the popcorn machine was broken at the concessions for the group of theatres I was in, but that I would be able to grab popcorn at the other concession stand across the lobby and bring into Theatre 4. The theatre itself was nice. Smaller and more intimate, the seats were full recliners. The sound and image quality of the film was excellent. The restroom was clean. Parking is fairly easy out front in a retail shopping space. Overall, this is a solid theatre option in Long Beach for those looking for the AMC brand experience. read more

2026 Review. Tried the bar for the very first time. We looked through the menu and found assorted alcholic beverages. Once we know what we wanted, we walked up to the counter where we were greeted. Ordered a Michelob Ultra and specialized drink called Hail Mary, in reference to the movie with Ryan Gosling. Our drinks were served in a a few minutes. The bartender made it to perfection. Cold and refreshing. I am going to do this more often. The prices are not bad at all. Its like going to a regular bar like hooters. I always assumed the prices were going to be outrages like Disneyland. I was wrong all this time. Affordable drinks and they were delicous. Definitely come back. read more

This might be my favorite theater in Long Beach! I've had average experiences at Cinemark at the Pike and Regal Edwards at Towne Center, but I like that AMC 12 is somewhat tucked away in the plaza and finding parking was easy on the weeknights when I went to see the 25th anniversary showings of Lord of the Rings. Since I'd pre-bought my tickets on Fandango, all I had to do was check which auditorium I was in, have the QR code scanned, and take my seat. The associates were friendly and made finding my way easy. I've only been in auditoriums 5 and 6, and both are very spacious - even fully reclined, there's at least 2 feet in front, making it easy for others to navigate to their seats. Something interesting about the layout is that instead of an incline like many places, i.e. going up as you head to the back of the theater, these are mostly level. The handicap seats are actually in the rear instead of the front. Surround sound is excellent and truly made the viewings feel immersive. If I had to nitpick, the first showing I attended I could briefly hear the vacuum next door. They also seem to keep the temperature moderately warm, which I actually don't mind since I get cold easily, but dress accordingly if you run hot! Ladies' restroom is to the left and men's restrooms are to the right for auditoriums 5 and 6. read more

I am an AMC A-lister and have been to quite a few theaters here in California. I have to say this is hands down my favorite AMC. The theater is never too busy, the split auditoriums helps with that and brings about a nostalgic feel. The staff is friendly, helpful and quick. The theater is clean - it doesn't stink and I never see trash lying around. The chairs actually recline so you get what you pay for! And there have not been technical malfunctions in my experience thus far. I have been here solo and with huge groups. Ticketing and entry has always been an ease and everyone is able to enjoy. It's nice that there are so many things to do, see, dine or shop at before or after your movie. My partner and I love our date nights here and plan to continue to patronize. read more

I want to give a shout out to this place! Yes, I have an AMC pass and can see 4 movies a week for less than $30 a month. YES, you could stay home and stream new movies for less but on a big screen AND NOT be distracted is WONDERFUL. In The volume in the theater where I I saw the devil wears Prada 2 the volume was offensively loud to the point that I had to plug my ears with my fingers throughout the preview and of course wanted to see the movie and so I couldn't do that through the whole movie. I think you should consult some Audiologist and people who are experts in hearing to make sure that you're not damaging people's hearing with the volume. I came a few weeks ago, and it was a mediocre experience. My friend wanted to order drinks, and we were told that the bartender was on the opposite part of the theater across the way. Really strange configuration. We were told it would be a 5 minute wait and we ended up waiting 10-15 minutes. The theater itself was fine. It was clean, and the seats reclined, which is all I really cared about. This is definitely not my preferred location, but I would go on a whim if I'm in the area, and if the stars align. read more

This is a good move theater for mainstream movies. It's in an odd location, not bad, just odd. It's kind of underground. The theater is split into two parts, each with six theaters of varied sizes. The seats are upgraded lounge type seats. I've been coming here for almost 20 years, and i've seen the transition. The sound is good, as is the picture. AMC doesn't have small popcorn anymore, which is a drag. I go to the movies alone a lot. My wife doesn't have the same movie passion I do. The bigger sizes are way too much. This is a post-covid thing and, i'm sure, meant to increase profits. My most recent visit I made the mistake of ordering the Bavarian pretzel. If 2 or 3 people are sharing it, fine. But it's ridiculously big. It's the size of a pizza. Don't get it if you're on your own, I barely dented it and put it on the ground. What a waste. Having that huge box handed to me in my seat was an unpleasant shock. The theater otherwise is nice. I'll still come here. But i won't get popcorn ever again and I won't ever get that insane pretzel. read more

This is the worst movie theatre of all time me and my friends got tickets to an r rated movie and one of their dads bought them. When we showed them are tickets they said we need the adult who bought the tickets we were mad because online it said nothing about that but okay a minor inconvenience who cares. But then we get my friends dad who bought them who was eating at a restaurant next door he said he explained how they are his tickets and we're good to watch but the guy said you can't bring a random adult and we can refund the tickets. But online we couldn't refund the tickets and instead of giving us our money they paid us back with their giftcards at the end we couldn't see the movie and now have giftcards for a movie theatre we hate. read more

My best friend and I choose this theatre just to try something new. The Devil Wears Prada 2 was premiering. We notice the cocktail bar and were more intrigued. The bartender was very pleasant and patient. Our drinks were a nice size and trust she did NOT skimp on the liquor. It's safe to say we will definitely return. read more

Really solid AMC with some indie theater flare... The AMC Marina Pacifica 12 of Long Beach, California is definitely one of a kind with two seperate buildings divided into two 6 house theaters with 1 thru 6 to the left of the front entrance where the outdoor box office is for purchase of physical tickets, showtimes and movie posters lined around this cylinder mini dome on the lower half of the Marina Pacifica Shopping Center. As well as fun staircases on each side that lead to the parking lot behind it. Naturally these means theaters 7 thru 12 are on the right side. I've never seen a split house theater setup like this, but have been to smaller AMC locations with 5, 6, or 7 screens that had this more intimate neighborhood theater vibe. They have concessions and restrooms on each side as well as their signature MacGuffin Bar with the only downside being that you have to cross through all of this to get to your theaters and or use the facilities. Saw Barbie for a second time with an amazing date in the perfect seats in theater six. Being over six feet tall when I reclined my foot was fully on the seats in front of me as soon as they reclined lol I just propped myself up more... no big deal at all! Everything was really nice including the sound, lights, temperature, layout and the floors. Definitely will be back again soon most likely with the same date. Way to go Marina Pacific! read more

My cousins and I chose this theater because it is located centrally to all of us. We decided to watch Joyride here with our respective husbands so we purchased our tickets in advance. My DH and I had discounted Atom tickets from T-Mobile (thanks T-Mobile) so we were able to reserve ours in advance easily. The theater is located near the Eat Fantastic Café, Starbucks, and Buffalo Wild Wings on PCH in Long Beach. Parking is easily found in the shared lot. My husband and I arrived early so we circled a bit to find appropriate parking that was close to the theater but wasn't restricted to time. The theater has been here for years but had been updated for reserved seating. All of the seats recline but there are no seat warmers. To be honest, I enjoy AMC theaters but the nearest one to me is still two cities over, so I frequent the Regal Cinemas more often. The lobby is small and there is a concessions counter. We opted not to get any concessions as we ate at the Eat Fantastic Café next door prior to the start of the movie and went to dinner nearby afterwards. Joyride was hilarious and raunchy. The 4 female Asian leads are fantastic. The movie was executively produced by Seth Rogan, so if you like his brand of comedy, you'll enjoy this movie. All in all, this theater is clean and the seats are comfortable. read more

Just saw "Marty Supreme" at this theater. It's probably a good film. I say "probably," because my ears still hurt from the unbearable volume hours later. My companion and I missed vital elements of the plot, because the volume made the fast-paced and overlapping dialogue impossible to follow at least half the time. Like a fool I went to see the manager after to tell him of our experience. He said that some people like their movies louder than others. My takeaway was that we had been told to pound sand. If I were a theater manager, I would at least have offered a pair of fee passes to another matinee, when the theater was almost empty, as it was at this performance. I wasn't looking for compensation, and would probably never have used them. But I would have felt heard, and that AMC acknowledges some responsibility for the quality of its patrons' experience. As it is I'll never go back. And movie theaters complain that people prefer to watch at home. . . read more

There was a group of ppl that felt the need to give their own commentary. They were incredibly obnoxious, and ruined several scenes of the movie. Definitely a smaller theatre than your typical massive AMC.. but in a plaza with plenty of parking. This AMC location feels more old school, the theatre sizes are much smaller and the concessions match the small ratio. However, it feels more intimate & I like how quiet and calm it is. I like this small theater. It's in a nice location by the marina. Walk behind Barnes & Noble to enjoy the calm of the water and chat about the movie you just watched with a friend. Anyway...the service is good. The kids who work there are polite. The bathrooms are always clean. No complaints about the seating...there's never any trash leftover in the theaters. As far as concessions, I usually just get popcorn and vegan Impossible 'chicken' nuggets. #vegansnacks There's not much else for vegans to eat there.
