I'm not sure why this theater has such low ratings.I took my daughter here for her birthday and the staff was very friendly and knew what they were doing. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind to us, as well as the girl who got us our popcorn and water cups. I've been to theaters around Orange County and this one has by far the most friendly and best service. The atmosphere was great, it was pretty clean and the food we got was good. Only thing I say is probably upgrade the seats. They're from like the mid 2000's if I had to guess. The screen itself and sound though were great. 5 stars for this place easily read more

I'm a regular at my local Starlight Cinema thanks to their $6 days, but my fiancée and I had a gift card from Christmastime so AMC was our Valentine's Day choice. Prices were rough, even with a gift card, but where isn't that the case these days. The guy at the concession stand was really nice, all smiles and friendly. I don't know how they stand it back there in the heat, I'd be grumpy as hell. So shout out to him. The theater quality was the thing though: I feel like it's the exact same theater from 15-20 years ago. Same screen, same uncomfortable seats, same everything. It feels like all this particular AMC's profits go to the lobby and the specialized theaters like the IMAX and the Dolby Digital or laser whatever. The plain Jane theaters don't seem to have gotten any love in many a year. So it wasn't the most comfortable or impressive experience despite the price. I'll stick to Starlight. read more

Antonio at AMC Orange was absolutely incredible! He gave us some of the best customer service we've ever experienced at a movie theater. He was extremely friendly, welcoming, patient, and genuinely made us feel taken care of while helping us with our popcorn and food. You can tell Antonio actually cares about the customers and takes pride in his job. He had such a positive attitude, was professional the entire time, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His energy alone made our movie night so much better. AMC Orange is very lucky to have someone like Antonio working there. Employees like him are the reason people come back. He deserves recognition, a raise, and employee of the month! I come here often enough that I recognize some of the staff now lol. I really appreciate how friendly everyone is--sometimes I'm grumpy or just sad, but seeing them smile when I'm checking into my movie genuinely cheers me up. Little things like that make the theater experience better. Their Dolby and IMAX theaters are well-maintained; you can really see the difference in film quality and colors. One thing that's out of the staff's control is that it'd be nice if all the auditoriums had reclining chairs and more modern decor. But overall, they have an amazing film selection. I also like that I feel safe here, and it's pretty clean overall. They do get slammed sometimes (like any theater), but I think it's because they're understaffed and they have 30 auditoriums--that's a lot! Some recent movies I've seen here: Chicken Run (25th Anniversary), Predator: Badlands, and Wicked 2. - Chicken Run was shown in one of their smaller theaters, but the picture quality was A1. - Predator: Badlands in Dolby was my first AMC fan event! A little controversial opinion, but i enjoy going here! People complain about the standard seats not reclining, it's gross, but i personally never had a bad experience with this theater, for me personally, i don't really care if the chairs reclines, as long as it's cleaned before we enter. The workers are super nice and helpful, they are VERY generous with popcorn refills! I personally don't like butter on my popcorn, mainly because they already lightly salted the popcorn beforehand. Me and my bf joined A-list a couple months ago and we have been going to this theater a lot lately, mainly because it's the closest AMC near us. We love the dolby and imax parts of this theater, they are super luxurious and Dolby inside is surprisingly spacious, like when we entered, it was huge and it felt like climbing a mountain to get to our seats lol. read more

I wanted to spend some quality time with my daughter watching a free show. We were so excited to finally go see a movie during summertime. This movie theater has been around for years. It used to be the hot spot where all the college and high school kids hang out. I remembered how packed it used to be. Now, the crowds have calmed down. We went on a Saturday morning and caught my surprise, it was so busy. I wasn't too thrilled about the seats because they were so dirty and didn't recline. The movie theater really needs a huge renovation. They still have the regular seats from what I remembered back in the days. I have no complaints about the food or drinks concession except for pricing, but that's what is expected nowadays. Popcorn was popping fresh while the sodas were perfectly paired. Lines can get long, but service was wonderful at the concession stand making me feel welcomed. If it wasn't for the free movie, this theater wouldn't be my top choice due to the worn out seats. read more

4++ Large AMC located within The Outlets at Orange shopping mall. The concessions and folks working here seem pretty standard (a good thing!). The positives (for me): - 30 screens so you have a lot of showtimes and they probably have a few screenings of international and independent movies that are a little tougher to find. - thy have a large IMAX screen and theater with cushy seating. I came here specifically to watch Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning on an IMAX screen and thought it was such a treat since that movie was specifically shot for a theater/screen like this one. The negative: which isn't their fault really. Since it's in an Outlet Mall that's wildly popular, the logistics of getting here, parking, and walking over to the theater can be a little anxiety provoking. Some people might like going to crowded places, but sometimes I prefer being able to just drive up, find parking close by, and being able to get to the theater without weaving through large crowds and foot traffic. Overall, quality theater and great offerings due to its size. read more

It's been awhile since I was back watching movies at a theater - but I recently signed up for the AMC A-List membership subscription, and of the ones listed closest to me - AMC Orange 30 was convenient based on proximity to work and home. The plan gives you access to 4 movies each week - which is much more than I've seen, even in my busiest year of movies. I watched two movies on Saturday - HTTYD, and Lilo & Stitch - both movies where I've seen and are fond of the original versions. Live-action Lilo & Stitch remake wasn't as great - but HTTYD was awesome. I think it's party because of the visual and audio quality of the films. Both were seen in the "Laser at AMC" format - although they weren't clear whether 3D glasses were necessary or not. The visuals were spot on - sharp, vibrant, clear. Audio quality was amazing. When the score to HTTYD started playing - I was whisked away back down memory lane - realizing that I never did see the original films in the theater. Concessions were pricey as expected - but in AMC's defense, I think that's where most of their profits come from. The line was a bit long - even though I waited in the A-list line, I was practically ignored for like ten minutes before I walked away to find my seat. Oh another thing - you get reserved seating now - which is a huge plus from before, where you had to show up early to claim a good spot. The reservation system allows you to take your time to get to your seat - even forgoing the 30 minutes of commercials/trailers before your movie actually starts. The seats for both movies were comfortable - and had a high back - unlike other theaters I've been to. Temperature was a little warmer than I'd like though. Minus a star for the less-than-decent concessions experience - it was a slow/quiet day too - not sure why I was overlooked. Maybe they should rope off the line if their workers are going to ignore people waiting in it. Parking is easy - I parked in the back of the mall, closer to where the theater is. Will most likely be back sometime soon to check out the "Real 3D/3D-enabled" HTTYD. read more

We haven't been to this AMC since probably before the COVID pandemic, as nothing appears in my order history back through 2023. Walking in, the place looks EXACTLY like it did before. I wasn't expecting a major remodel, but I was hoping for something new besides the higher prices. I wanted to see Superman, and while we prefer the Dolby Theater, the times didn't match our schedule, so we opted for the AMC XL theater instead. The description implied a larger screen, but the screen we saw didn't seem any bigger. The seats were the regular seats in the basic theaters, and the sound was basic. Now, that's still not a bad experience, but just disappointing. What XL does claim is a 4K picture created by projecting lasers onto the screen. Although the image was quite crisp, it didn't enhance my enjoyment of the movie, and there really wasn't much difference from what you see in the Dolby Theater. In a nutshell, don't pay anything extra for XL if you don't have to. Otherwise, everything was just as I remembered. The bathrooms were clean, the employees we encountered were nice enough, and since we had eaten beforehand, which means we didn't purchase anything from the concession stand. So, really, no complaints, just disappointed in AMC XL. read more

Came back to AMC for the first time in years! This theater used to be the theater I would come to a lot in my twenties. Brought my three children to watch the new Mario movie. Had gotten some amc black tickets but because seats are now reserved we arrived early to the theater. Paid $24 additional dollars at the window defeats the purpose of the black tickets. Anyway service was good. Got in line to purchase snacks: popcorn, nachos, and a soda. Movie experience took place in one of the four main theater rooms, was mostly full, and was good because it was not ruined by people talking. read more

I used to frequent this movie theater as a teenager whenever I go out with friends and family to see the new movie releases. The theater I was in was outdated with pretty dirty seats and had a musky odor. The seats also do not recline. I would be fine with the condition of the theater had ticket prices reflect that. Came here for the first time last week, which was a huge surprise to me, since I thought I had been to all the AMCs in SoCal! Parking was super easy in their giant lot, but it was a little confusing as to where the entrance was to the AMC. I walked through the mall and was able to find it. The AMC was bigger than I imagined but the theater numbers were all well marked. The theater itself was clean and well maintained and the smell of fresh popcorn lingered throughout. There are a large variety of formats here including IMAX and Dolby. The theater staff were also friendly and helpful. The seats could have been more plushy and comfortable and could offer more support, which is necessary for a longer film. I would definitely return to this theater, but probably only for the premium formats, as I imagine those seats are more comfortable. Regardless, the sound and picture quality was still very good. read more

Let me start with the 3 star rating is solely based on the food service line. I'm an a-list stubs member so went to that right side premiere member line. There were 2 couples in front and only 2 couples in the regular line. They proceeded to help the reg line first as our line grew. A couple of workers were just chatting it up behind the counter with only two registers open as both regular and premier lines grew. It took over 25 mins to get two icees and nachos. I've been to multiple AMCs and even before signing up for there a-list membership have never had such a slow and unpleasant service were the cashier was just unfriendly and slow. Other than that my friend and I did say it was quite clean and the Dolby room was great. It was a Friday afternoon around 4pm you would think they would be better staffed going into the weekend. read more

AMC 30 is a scam, purchase tickets to watch Black Phone at 11: 15 and they refuse to let me enter because the theater was close, if the theater was close why do they sell tickets for 11:15 pm showing. After having to use the flashlight from my cell to find our row/seat I have an idea why the lights are so dim. Today we came to see Lilo and stich and they have remodeled the movie theater, reclinable seats, very clean and organized. I ordered the tickets online, and yes there's a convenience fee, but if you are a member they waive the fee, Also you can order in advance candies, popcorn etc. There's a lot of parking outside. Mari brightened my day, five stars for her! She was such a patient and sweet cashier. I had a bucket of questions, and then I saw something I wanted right after I checked out, and she patiently did another transaction for me. I've had good service all around at AMC Orange. The reason for four stars is the theatre itself. Without considering service, I'd give it 3 stars, because AMC Fullerton is so much nicer, and Orange needs to update at least some of the rooms with recliners, come on! Overall, not a bad place to see a film, especially since you can walk to eat or shop before or after your film. Parking isn't too bad either during off-peak times. read more

Parking can be a little challenging on the weekends. Concessions are pricey as they are at most movie theaters. A large popcorn is only like $1 more than the regular size. Drinks are self serve Coke machines. This theater is older so the seats aren't very comfortable. You can reserve specific seats which has become the standard most places. Finally I got a chance to see Jurassic Park World Rebirth before it is removed from the big screen. I saw it here with a POF date. It was nearby her apartment. Theater was difficult for me to find at night, due to the construction on nearby businesses. Parking lot is massive. As it is shared with other businesses in the mall. There are about 6 self-serve kiosks outside. But 3 weren't working and none takes ApplePay. I saw Jurassic Park World Rebirth in a standard theater. So the seats were not recliners. The sound was ok. The employees were friendly. Especially the cashier. I was able to buy tickets for a movie that started 30+ minutes ago. Although the ticket says that I missed the movie, the theater employee allowed my POF date and me to go in 30+ minutes late. It was a good movie. Only about 3 couples were in theater. The big screen is the only way to see any Jurassic Park movie. I didn't go to restroom or concession stand. So I cant talk about them. read more

Staff is good and helpful but I also order food and drink in the AMC app before I arrive. We saw "Running Man" remake here a few weeks ago -- it was my first time back at this theater after a few years (we live in a different part of Orange County). The screen was nice and big, good Dolby surround sound. So picture and sound is all good. But they gotta do something about the seats here: old and beaten up -- and they don't recline like they do at our local AMC theater. I've never been in the XL theater (is that IMAX rebranded by AMC?) and so I'll probably come back at some point to check that theater out. read more

A larger AMC location with multiple auditoriums, a big entrance with nice display and decorations. They have the most cleanliness by far, from the theater seats to the restrooms, to the way they designed itself, make your movie experience better, especially with the intimate showing of Accidental Getaway Driver follow by a Q&A with cast and crew. My bf and I frequent here for our movie dates.. not by choice but because it's the one nearest to us... This place is okay. If I comment on the facility itself, it does need improvement... Even on busy weekends, sometimes they only open the concession in the main lobby area, which has huge lines. They don't always open the other one, which usually had shorter lines. I wish they have a kiosk if people just want to buy a drink. If there is a separate just drink line that would be so nice. The place is not the cleanest either but I think they try... So overall, it's a place where it's more for the convenience rather than the experience that people come here. read more

I'm a new A List member and have been here a few times since having this membership, however my last visit wasn't loading my ticket. So I had to repurchase it, and was told to dispute my charge with my bank to get a refund. How inconvenient and annoying. On top of the slow service here, I will be cancelling this membership and find other means to watch newly released movies. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a movie theater. The manager, Lui, was extremely rude and unprofessional, with no sense of customer service at all. We had reservations for an 11:45 PM showing and arrived at 12:03 AM. Despite this small delay, we were not allowed to enter. When we asked for a refund, we had to practically beg the security guard, who was also very rude, to call a manager. When the manager finally came out, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and gave us nothing but attitude. To make things worse, six of our friends were already inside the theater. They ended up leaving because we weren't allowed to join them. When they attempted to request a refund, no one responded to their calls at the guest relations desk, even after multiple attempts to speak with a manager. I've been coming to this theater for over 15 years, and this experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service was unacceptable. No air conditioning. It was hot asf inside the movie theater. Not enjoyable at all when it's hot. We left an hour in to the movie, because the heat was too much. The chairs suck and are uncomfortable. And the no air conditioning was disgusting. I had sweat dripping the entire time. I run hot anyway, but even my partner who runs cold normally said he was burning up. Come on AMC! Stop being cheap and not running the air conditioning in all of the theaters. The concession stand are had air conditioning, but not in the movie theater screen 8. Screen 8 had the old school chairs that were so uncomfortable! You have to do Dolby cinema for better experience. Stephanie and Wanda are truly gems. Gems of humans and gems of staff at the AMC Orange. I lost my keys in the theater after watching a movie late at night and truly was so anxious about someone taking them or something happening to them bc obviously there are articles of sensitive information and whatnot. But STEPHANIE and WANDA were so helpful, attentive, and sweet to me when I frantically came in looking for them the following morning. I can assure you that the staff here goes above and beyond to help their guests, and I would recommend this theater to literally anyone. read more
