A ok much has changed since I last went to the movies. We reserved tickets online at the Regal website and we were able to choose our seats. Of course, then we add them to our Apple Wallet so we can scan them at the theater. No box office lines. Each seat is an extra spacious recliner with an individual, swing away counter for drinks or snacks. It's very much akin to an airline seat in business class. Except the controls are all electronic. There are kiosk for ordering tickets as walk-in guest. But the line for concessions looked pretty much the same. Now what we need is to order concessions directly from our recliner seats! read more

We recently visited here after getting an unlimited movies pass. I haven't been here in a while. They are redoing some of the theaters. Before, there was only stadium seating, but now there are recliner options so pay attention to the fine print if you prefer the recliners when picking your time. Our visit was overall pleasant. Although we had recliners, the foot part for mine didn't go up all the way straight. My husband's appeared the same so I don't think it was just mine. The chairs were otherwise comfortable. The seats have a tray table attached for snacks or food that swing around in front of you. I'm excited for the new updates! read more

Saturday December 27, 2025, it's been a minute since I've been to Regal Hollywood 20-Greenville. I got tricked into going to see Avatar Fire and Ash by my niece. My nephew in law, my nieces' husband did not want to see Avatar in 3D 4DX. I was asked to use his ticket, that I never said I would, then he decided that he would go. Long story short I was purchased a ticket, he ended up still not going, and his daughter got the his ticket. They have done a lot of renovations and have stepped their game up. No waiting in line to buy tickets(it's digital and online), tables and chairs, as well as tall tables with stool type chairs. It was clean at 10:30 Saturday morning and so were the rest rooms. The seats inside the theater we were in reclined. The 4 DX was another matter, there was water coming out of the seat in front of me, I could feel the air from the bullets and arrows. No falling asleep in the 4DX, that seat was rocking and throwing us backward, forward and side to side. It was an experience, that I thoroughly enjoyed, and the movie was 3 hours,15 minutes long and fantabulous. A fun time was had by all, my niece and I and two of her adult children. I'm thankful for the trickery and a free movie ticket!! As usual it's always good to spend time with FAMILY. read more

Get there an hr BEFORE movie time. If you have any kind of gift cards or money on your app, the kiosk won't take it. So you HAVE to wait in line, and by the time you get to the concession, the tickets are gone. Unless you want to waste $8 for the fee to purchase ahead of time online. The workers are no help. No problem with the movie experience itself, but I've missed half of 2 movies waiting on concessions for my family. This is despite arriving early. There are 8 registers I think but only about half are used and always 60ish people in line. If you want concessions, plan to get there AT LEAST 45 minutes prior to your movie. You might still be late. I have no idea how they can be that slow. read more

Movie was great, theater was great... 4DX was out of this world. Customer service and concessions were atrocious. Got to the theater 30 minute ahead of time and still walked into the very beginning of the movie. 40 minutes in concession line??? Oh yea something you don't think about...you can't sit down in 4D motions seats when they're moving so that was fun. read more

This location is under a remodel. The theater we were ushered to had already been done and I love it. Nice recliner seats with a tray and cup holder. The only downside was it was warm, could have used some ac. The popcorn was pretty good, I personally prefer it when they add the butter for you. The cashier was also really pleasant read more

Why would you have a remodel and half the staff work when major movies are coming out lines are outrageously long and you'll miss half of the movie waiting in them managers need to express sense of urgency if you are only going to have 3 people working. company is stuck in the 90's and very overpriced for what they offer. seats are jammed so tight together you are uncomfortable for 2 hours. bathrooms with no toilet , trashcans overflowing, hand written signs on displays like they cant afford to have a sign made. @Regal ... go west and check out Harkins! This theatre employees mostly Highschool aged kids at the concessions that are more focused on socializing and kidding around with one another than serving the customers in a timely manner. They could also use some additional resources for busier times. I personally waited in the concession line for 40 mins this visit, which is absurd. The theatre is also very dirty. Will definitely try other locations in the area. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday at lunch to see Sing 2 with my family. Got here 15 minutes early to find out you have to stand in the long concession lines just to purchase tickets. It was super busy. They should have separate lines for just purchasing tickets. Someone finally stopped by to let us know to just purchase them online and they could scan them. It's really unfortunate that this theater is open right now. I understand staffing across the country is an issue, but if you don't have enough staff to run concessions, man the ticket counters, and CLEAN the theaters and restrooms between shows, then you may want to consider not opening, or at the very least, limit the number of active theaters/ticket sales. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our matinee show recently and walked into our theater early to go ahead and grab our seats. Upon entering the theater, the trash was overflowing onto the floor with the door left open. The isles and the individual seats followed suit. Popcorn, empty drinks, napkins, and candy boxes were all over the floors and in the cup holders in each isle. Honestly, the theater appeared to not only have not been cleaned in between shows, but more likely the entire day. Just like other reviews before this one, the concessions were backed up with only two people serving customers. We waited 30+ minutes to get a bucket of popcorn which consisted of primarily crumbs from the leftover stale popcorn likely from the day before. I'm always prepared to spend a fortune at the concession stand at the movies, but I at least expect to get a fraction of what I paid for. This was not the case. Did I mention there was really no need to purchase a ticket? There was a single person wedged right behind the ticket counter once you walked in who was paying little to no attention to those walking in the door. We actually walked around for a few seconds trying to figure what the process was for gaining access to the theaters after purchasing our tickets online. Again, this wasn't necessary, as no one really even acknowledged that we were even in the building. Fortunately, the movie we were there to see was phenomenal, otherwise we would have certainly asked for a refund. My family and I were excited to finally get back in front of the big screen for the first time since Covid, but this was a major let down. We definitely will not be returning to this theater anytime in the near to distant future. read more

Absolutely RIDICULOUSLY long wait times for concessions. 3 lines almost out the door. With Spider-Man playing in its first week and opening night for Matrix, they had 3, three, tres, people working the concessions area. And was out of half the candy. Missed almost half of my movie trying to get snacks for my family. And the theater itself was nasty. Ridiculous. I'd like a friggin refund. Overpriced to begin with, and then having to wait, with NO apology or explanation. If your gonna have this kind of crap service, at least offer some discounts or something. read more

Regal movie theaters are generally pretty good. I've been to crappy movie theaters that are run down with trash everywhere and Regal generally has a certain standard of cleanliness. You also get to pick your seats beforehand so it's not a mad dash to find the best seats in the house when you walk into the dimmed theater. You do pay extra though for each movie than you would elsewhere. I was hoping their food/drinks stand would serve wine and beer since most theaters and a lot of Regal Cinemas I've been to started doing so. However they do have a large variety of foods including your normal nachos, burger and hot dogs. They also surprisingly had samosas there - wasn't daring enough to try this since it's probably microwaved frozen packaged samosas but was happy to see this as an option. read more

I have always been a regal fan, sadly this location was disappointing. My husband and I avoid cherrydale at all cost because the chairs are uncomfortable. This location has better updates and rooms to watch all the movies we would be in the mood for. SADLY, as my husband and I walk out of our date night (major event for toddler moms), we see so many roaches. Dead, alive, tiny and large these roaches were everywhere, even on the walls. I was disgusted and so disappointed and we weren't even on the last session of movies. It seems like the employees are not keeping up with the cleaning or the maintaining of common areas. The ac was also not kept as cold as most movie theaters. Bugs are attracted to sweets, garbage, hot/humid air and dark areas, a.k.a. this movie theater. Ever since they got rid of the ticket sales, the concession line is extremely long. We arrived at 645 for a movie at 715. We were still in line for concessions at 720 with no end in sight!! I had to buy tickets online and be forced to pay a $10 convenience fee because I got tired of waiting. read more

We still love this theater. Service is fast, popcorn is fresh, and the seats are very comfortable.

I bought my tickets online pick my seating and got there extra early to have the seats broke. We go and move to another seat, tell someone and have it all changed just for the seats that we were moved to be sold to someone different. They ran out of seats that were near each other when we went back to the front so all they could do was give us our money back. I think this was a waste of time, waste of money and overall a bad experience. And did not even get to see the money. read more

NOT SAFE!! An hour into the movie (10pm on a Tuesday) a man with a large backpack and a ukulele walks in and sits down in the chair next to me. The theater was completely empty expect us and another couple seated a few rows back from us and he sat right next to me. The staff said they didn't see him come in the front door and refused to refund our tickets when we left because we no longer felt safe. They did offer me two free tickets to come see part two: return of the ukulele. I declined noting security was not paying attention at all. I contacted regal directly who said they also would not be willing to help. Not a safe place to see a movie, would suggest finding another theater. read more

The lines for concessions were absurd. You need to get here about 45 minutes before your movie time to stand in line if you plan to get popcorn or anything. If I come back here, which I doubt, I will bring my own as it's an absolute disaster. The theater itself is dated, with many more modern theaters in other cities I've been to that have reclining seats and even food/drink delivery to your seats. Unfortunately, this is the best Greenville apparently has to offer and it's unbelievable they haven't done anything to get with the times. This is basically the same experience you'd have in the 80's or 90's, so if anyone is considering opening a more modern theater with better amenities and a better experience, I guarantee it will be a gold mine. read more

Tonight's picture is a Met Opera production, La Fanciulla del West, one of 10 in the series of HD operas that is being shown live through May 2019. This opera is 3 hrs 45 minutes, and includes two generous intermissions of 20-25 min each. The seats for the Met Opera showings at Hollywood 20 are purchased with assigned seating, $24, plus $1.35/ticket if purchased online. Purchasing online lets you to easily choose your seats. But really, there is only a handful of people at tonight's Wed. 6:55 pm showing. Small popcorn and grande-size Starbucks drip coffee ran about $10. So for about $35 total the cost is much less than seeing the opera live in New York. During the intermissions there are interviews with the actors/actresses, the maestro, and others who are involved with the production. Also, cameras roll between the intermission interviews, filming backstage activity. Theatre was clean and relatively comfortable. read more

Another clean, friendly Regal Cinemas theater. The layouts are all pretty much the same as are the prices and the seating. It's nice to attend a business where the employees are gracious and helpful. We had some passes and the ticket agent told is we'd be issued an actual ticket inside. The ticket taker pointed us to the young lady who'll "be glad to print you a ticket!" Done in an instant and we were ready to get our concessions. That was the only "fly in the ointment." THE LONG S. L. O. W LINE at the concession stand. I feared we'd miss the opening of the movie but we finally got our goodies and entered the theater. They really should have put another staff member on a register to expedite the lines. read more

Go in the middle of the day or the early times. Much more economical and the employees do not feel as rushed. You also get awesome seat choices. Enjoyed Ant-Man and Wasp when we went and saw it. Especially enjoyed the adjustable arm rests and the ability to lean the seat back. And the bathrooms are very clean during the earlier shows. That probably has to do with the amount of foot traffic, but i still had to mention it. I won't go to another theater. read more

I'm really not one to complain, but the prices for an early movie and small popcorn for such a small movie screen is absolutely ridiculous.

We went today to see The super mario movie. I bought the tickets online for the 3D showing. When we got there the power was out. No fault of theirs but they were giving paper tickets to customers to have them come back. I asked if they would work for 3D because that is what I bought and the gentleman giving the tickets said yes. I saw the manager as I was walking out and asked him the same, he said yes they will work at any Regal cinema and standard or 3D. HAHAHAHA. We then drove across town to Hollywood 20 and stood in line to see the later showing. When I got up to the counter I showed her the tickets and the tickets on my phone. When I looked at the screen there was a $10 charge. I asked why I was being charged a reissue fee and she said it is because it was 3D. I said no he told us it will work for either and a girl with pink hair told me "well he lied to you" "Sorry there is nothing we can do".. Really! I caught a manager and she asked if everything was ok, I told her the situation and she said "Well all I can do is issue a ticket worth $13." I mean that's great and fine and all but I actually paid for that ticket so it did me no good. With this kind of scam I don't ever want to go back! read more
