It's one of the more older theaters around...It was the second time going to this theater, first time since I was 15. Not much has changed in 20 years. I never thought I had to worry about the picture quality, or being able to see the screen. I don't recommend anyone to visit this theater. There is a lack of ownership and care for the equipment. We saw Wonka today, and it felt like we watched a black and white movie. The picture was void of so much color. This is poor quality. We watched the trailer for Wonka on my phone. It was a night and day difference. Why does this theater charge for customers to see movies on projectors that are not working? To top it off, we couldn't see the bottom quarter of the screen due to the knee rail/wall. This is poor design. We tried to move to the top row and it wasn't any better. Im 5'2 and had to prop myself uncomfortably at the end of the chair to see the screen. The audio was also bad too, it was not surround sound. Have not been here since I was young. This used to be the ONLY place to go. For some reason, Heights was booked and Cove didn't have the new movie "talk to me". I walked in and didn't expect much but I was in a good mood. I noticed they had food, so I asked "Do y'all bring the food to our seat by chance?" This MFer rolls his dorky ass eyes at me and says "No!" I figured maybe he just has fucked up eyes... He apparently wanted a standstill... and I didn't, so I was then forced to ask him..."ok.... Then how does the food work?". Another fucking eye roll! This was accompanied with the utmost annoying reply: "uh. You wait for it, for a long time, because we are understaffed." That was the gist, but there was more obvious attitude. I was one of 4 people in the entire front of the bldg. I looked at my wife to ask her if I am crazy for wanting to pull this dick over the counter and slap him and she was already staring at me. She says "please just breath!" I was so fucking patient and I cannot believe the attitude this kid had. Came in here to watch the Deadpool and Wolverine movie however as I'm trying to purchase a ticket it says I can't skip a seat lol which is ridiculous , then we get to the theatre and no problems at the concession stand but as we walking into the movie room omg it's super hot in there mind you this was this past weekend which was hot still is and I told one of the workers they came in the room to chk if what I was saying was true he leaves and how uncomfortable was it to watch a movie in a hot ass room . The outrageously large barriers are too fare away from the seats so they cover the screen when you're sitting unless you're sitting up with perfect posture and you are 6 foot 6 inches tall... Which no one would do in a recliner... They also don't dim the lights enough therefore the movie is dim, either that or they need to do maintenance on the projector bulbs or replace them. Not even five minutes in the movie. The power goes off and they can't get it back on. We spent $40 on snacks that got wasted because I didn't refund it and they only gave us a refund for our tickets. Despite the fact that the theaters were almost empty, the concession line took 20 minutes to make it through and they were out of napkins. When they went to purchase their tickets they were asked if they were 17 or older. They were asked the show ID which they had and then was told they had to be 21 to watch Smile. My in laws sing high praise for this theater so I figured let me try it out. The outside looks outdated and kind of dirty. The parking lot has trash in it but whose doesn't honestly. My second and most important reason to give this review is because they welcome criminals. They have signs at the front door welcoming criminals to visit their establishment and wreak havoc. They of course will then notify law enforcement, no offense to you guys, and wait for them to save the day as they're being robbed, murdered, or worse, the patrons are being robbed and murdered. Warning: Very long irate post!!! So I came here yesterday to watch Fifty Shades Darker with a friend. I was so excited someone wanted to watch it with me so I stood in line Friday night to buy the tickets ahead of time to make sure we get the good seats. Well...lo and behold, our seats were taken. The 2 seats right next to it were empty so we figured we'll sit there instead. For the meantime I wanted to let management know there is a problem. I got out and spoke to a manager. We then found out that my tickets were for Saturday...not Sunday as I specifically requested when I purchased the tickets! The manager was pointing the blame on me for not looking at the date on the tickets! I told him that's your employee's mistake not mine. Your employees should do what they were asked...and how dare he put the blame on me. I was getting upset because he was telling me to come back another time! Excuse me??? When did they own my time??? So I told the manager since no one is sitting at the next 2 seats, we'll just sit there instead. He said OK...so we did! Should have been the end, right? Movie started...and here comes the Theater Manager! Inside the theater!!! Tells me we're sitting at the wrong seats. I said yes...because you guys sold me the wrong tickets... And since these seats were empty I told the other manager we'll sit here instead. He said these are reserved seats. I said I know...but no one has claimed it so I'm staying here. (He never asked me to step out or leave...) Then he said he'll have KPD remove me! I wasn't making a scene...I was calm...and I said fine! I thought he was going to call KPD if the owners of the seats came and we refused. I never thought that. I figured if someone comes we'll move. Well...a few minutes later here they come again with a KPD cop!!! We were asked to get out of the theater!!! We didn't resist...we got up and walked out. I explained the situation and I said I don't understand if the seats are empty why can't we just sit there? Stupid Theater Manager keeps saying it's reserved seating!!! KPD cop then says if we were asked to leave (mind y'all...NOBODY has asked us to leave...we were asked to step out of the theater which we did!) and we didn't we are trespassing!!! I told him I told the other manager and he said OK! So his word is not worth SHIT??? Besides I have paid tickets!!! We were NOT trespassing!!! BTW, when did KPD become a security employee for the theater. He didn't even listen to me! He just asked the manager what did he want him to do??? Last time I checked, PD worked for the citizens NOT the theater! I was told by a few that the cop was just doing his job...which was to enforce law and order. Where's the commotion??? We were quietly sitting and just starting to enjoy the movie! There were no disorder!!! So my friend suggested a refund and the Theater Manager refused!!! We were escorted out of the building itself! And as we were trying to figure if we can go elsewhere...KPD cop wouldn't leave until we walked to the parking lot! Man!!!!! We were treated like we commited a crime!!! Just so y'all know, I come to this theater every week! Never again will they see even a red cent from me! Y'all should be warned! In this theater customer is NEVER right! The only resolution they offered was to watch it at another showing! When the hell did they think they owned my time??? There are no two sides to a story for this management...just theirs...and you will be treated like a criminal! Never ever have I been treated this way!!! I'm not going to go into huge detail about how slow the service was. It took 20 minutes to get a box of candy and a drink. The two HUGE problems I had with this theater are #1: there was a wall blocking 1/3 of the screen!!!!!!!!!!! I am 6 foot tall and a good portion of the screen was blocked by a wall for no apparent reason. #2: there was MAJOR noise coming from the neighboring theaters. It was so loud it was disrupting our movie. I will never spend my hard earned money at this place again. read more

When I first arrived in this area, Regal Cinemas was known as Hollywood theaters. I visited there once when it was Hollywood theaters and honestly it was a dump. The conditions were very poor. Last year they renovated the theater and now it's my go to in Killeen/Harker Heights/Copperas Cove area. The theater now has reclining chairs, redesigned screens, and & theater rooms. The menu has more variety even though concessions can be costly. The only negative thing I can say that Regal Theaters do search your bags. I understand it's for security measures so it's a inconvenience that I can deal with. It's a nice place to go see a movie at. read more

I took my disabled son here, he's in a wheelchair so we needed seats close to the edge since the handicap seats aren't close enough together to fit our family. I would have to pick him up (80 lb kid) and put him in a seat, which is fine as long as the seat was close. Someone was sitting in our seats. Instead of having them move we picked different seats and I went down to tell the employees that we switched. They had no problem with that. 10 minutes later, an employee came to me and said that someone else picked these seats so we had to move.... AGAIN. I had to carry my son down two sets of stairs to the very bottom so close to the screen which IS a problem because he also has epilepsy. So instead of making the original people in our seats move or telling the other people who requested our seats after we we're already sitting there, they made us move. The theater was less than half way full by the way. It's extremely disheartening because we don't go to the movie often, he wanted to see the new Spiderman movie so bad. Listen, I went here to watch the movie Nope by Jordan Peele. I've waited a year for this movie closely anticipating it's release. Bought my tickets ahead of time and everything. I went to this theater to watch... the screen was dim and blinking. The sound was low and the movie was out of focus... seats were greasy.. went and asked for a refund and the manager didn't care that there was an entire crowd in the theater experiencing that wreck of an experience. Waited over 15 min to order popcorn and they had just opened. I didn't understand why it was taking so long since there was only a few people in line. The popcorn was bland and didn't even taste warm. Once we got into the theater two out of the four seats didn't recline. Very disappointing. We told an employee and they didn't even care. I will be taking my business to cove or Harker heights. Our seats that didn't work were in theater 9 F3 and F4 on the top row. Ok yes the wall on the back rows blocks the bottom. Bad planning and building and bad that it has not been fixed. However usually row C is good. Chairs are comfortable and more than make up for a little missing from bottom. Sounds is good but the sound insulation between theater isn't. So you hear a lot of other movies music or vibrations. Staff is nice but system at concessions is not great. Management could organize staff so that everyone is working not just standing around or only having one or two registers open. Overall good especially during week with not a lot of people. read more

The new seating is only good if you are 6' or taller. If you are under 6' and recline then the safety wall in front of you cuts off the bottom of the screen. My experience at this movie theatre was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I was able to purchase my movie tickets online which helped cut down on the time waiting in line. The snack bar had the usual choices (popcorn, hot dogs, soda, candy, nachos) but they didn't offer alcoholic beverages like the Cinergy in Copperas Cove. The service was decent but no one was over friendly. The theatre itself had plenty of room which was a huge plus, and the recliners were fairly comfortable. The Killeen theater was recently bought out by Regal and as part of the Regal policy, YOU WILL SUBMIT TO A BAG/PURSE SEARCH WHEN ENTERING the theater or you will be denied entrance. Their stated reason for this? They are looking for recording equipment. Yet, they don't mind that you have a smart phone in the theater (duh). Annoyingly, they don't post this on the doors of the theater or on a sign outside, they wait until you have bought at ticket, bought popcorn and are ready to enter the theater to tell you that you have to submit to a search or be denied entrance; knowing that most people don't want to be inconvenienced and will feel backed into a corner. This is a Regal theater policy and after talking the manager on duty, it isn't going to change any time soon. So, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I will not be treated like a criminal after I have paid to see a movie and paid to eat there. I absolutely hate to take my money to Harker Heights, especially since the Regal military discount is better, but that's what I will do until this practice stops.
