I have been going to regal nails in aurora since i was a freshman in high school, i am now 26. I've always had the best experience with them. i had the MOST AWFUL time there last Friday. i booked an apt for 5 pm for my EYEBROWS. eyebrows take 10 minutes to do. i was sitting by a girl next to me, she was closer to my age, and she also had an appointment for 5. it was 5:15 at this point and me and her just figured it was busy. (it was not) they called every single person up to get their nails done, before me. people that DID not even book an appointment. it is now 630 pm and i am still sitting there waiting, so i walk up to Lee (which he never even greeted me when i walked in) and said i made an apt for 5pm it has now been over an hour how much longer will this take? Another woman who just got her nails, and toes done was sitting in the eyebrow chair and they removed her so they could get to me. the lady in the salon chair (a customer) walked past me and called me a slur. i was on the verge of tears at this point, the sweet girl i was talking to when i first got there looked over at me and whispered "I'm sorry" because she could tell how frazzled i was. i got sat down and Kim said "sorry they had appointments" i said, so did i. She got alcohol in my eye, for the first time ever, my eye was burning for a solid hour. I did not even want to tip, but i gave her the full $20 so i could GET out of there because of how anxious and incredibly angry I was. WHAT IS THE POINT OF BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THEM IN AT THAT TIME? i understand waiting 15 mins but I waited an hour and a half just for a 10-minute eyebrow appointment. I have never been so dissatisfied with my time there. Not just the workers but the customer calling me a slur. i made an appointment for 5pm and did not leave until 645, just for eyebrows. eyebrows take 5-10 minutes. extremely disappointed, since i have been going there since i was about 13. Even the girl sitting next to me could tell how upset i was, but the workers couldn't? keep in mind, they were not busy. they were calling people up who did not have appointments before me. I've been going on and off for years. However, more recently, I paid almost $100 for a pedicure and extra short full set with gel (plus $20 tip). Thumb nail falls completely off after 6 days. I try repeatedly to get it fixed but they are "too busy" when popping up the same day, call and go the next day, and day after that. WTF I paid all this money with a missing nail on a subpar set for almost a week now because they can't fit in a 10 minute repair. Now I remember why I stopped going. read more

I have been going to Regal Nails for at least 10 years, first in Streetsboro then in Aurora (after they sold the Streetsboro location I followed them because the one other place I tried close to me had incredibly rude owners). I have also been getting my nails done (acrylics) since the early 1980's in California. So yes, I have a little bit of experience with this. Some of the reviews here leave me shaking my head and wondering if we are talking about the same place. I always make an appointment; I do not expect to walk in and get immediate service. They are always respectful of my appointment time and do the best they can around the walk-ins. Years ago, it was all appointment and easier, but all salons switched over to walk-ins, so they have to do that to be competitive (thanks to all the no-show appointments, I'm sure). I have NEVER seen any indication of a lack of hygiene that one should expect to worry about infections, either. Everyone in my family is in the medical field, I am a medical courier, and am very conscious of such things. In all of these years, I have certainly never had a problem with this! If you walk out and get an infection later, how many other things have touched your hands in the meantime that could have led to infection? The reality is that there is no way to know where it came from. Last, they do excellent work. Again, I have lots of experience to compare it to. My nails last as well as anyone has ever gotten them to (I'm difficult when it comes to lifting) and they look wonderful and are shaped the way I want them. I always get compliments on my nails, and obviously cannot recommend these guys enough!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. It is convenient for me because of the hours but that is it. They tell you 15 minutes and you wait 45 minutes. I have been getting acrylic and then fell polish. The first time I had cracking and lift I thought maybe well things happen. Now I have multiple nails that are chipped and pulling up from my natural nail. I am very embarrassed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I am so upset and now need to spend more money to have the job repaired. UGH read more

Have gone to Regal Nails for years, from the time Walmart was built and Sam and his wife opened the salon. Going to this shop is always a nice day. Sam and his wife has always had good employees and they know that any of them can do my pedicure but Sam would always do my nails. Sam was very patience with taking off the polish and trying to save my nail which is still having a problem. I need to thank Sam for a wonderful job that he did. If anyone wants a super job go to the Walmart in Bainbridge Regal Nails. read more

I called ahead to see if the had openings to do a full set and pedi! I got there no one greeted me and waited an hour. When I get to the chair the man suggest an overlay vs a full set. He spent 20 minutes rushing through my nails. Ask me to get up and pay. I mentioned o asked for a pedi and he said "do you wanna come back tomorrow?" mind you they had a whole hour left and no clients waiting smh. Very rude people! That basically stole $49 for trash nails!!! read more

A previous reviewer mentioned she suffered from infection which isn't hard to believe considering my nail tech attempted to use an USED file on me. I asked for natural square, and was left with chunky square nails with 3 shorter than the rest (those same 3 popped off within a week). I got a little chunk of skin burned off from her filing...Granted the nail prices are cheap so you basically get what you pay for. However, cleanliness/sanitation is standard across the board. read more

As far as the tedious, time consuming process of getting your nails done go, I would recommend this place, BUT.... not if you are on a time-crunch, as this salon is inside Walmart, therefore as you can imagine, you will be waiting a while . I have shellac on my fingers/ toes & just for a polish change (without mani-pedi- ) I was there approx. 1 1/2- 2hrs. As much as I dread taking the time to have my nails done~ the nice ladies & guy working there & the finished results, make it less dreadful. Even though it goes without saying ~ it is also nice to be able to get your shopping done simultaneously without the extra drive! ;) Oh, & the prices are pretty much the same as everywhere else.... read more

I've got 3 infections 2 on each big toe and one on my ring finger where my nail fell off. I had to get surgery on both of my toes to remove the nail because it was that bad. Very disrespectful workers they stand around with many customers waiting. One worker sat there and was eating her chocolate bar very rudely talking to is with her mouth open. I left and went to another nail place. Don't take a chance about getting a bad infection. read more

Not very impressed with this nail salon. Took a friend to get her nails done and the gentlemen doing the work cut 5 fingers when installing her nails, completed the work and brushed over a few nails making them scratched and at the end when I paid, he gave me too much change back and then waited for more money as if he was supposed to get a tip. I personally tip good behavior and this establishment upset my friend, we will find another salon to try out for the first time and lets hope no fingers are lost in our endeavors. read more
