On a Monday night it's pretty quiet or actually empty? There are like 6 people in the whole theater and we are watching a scary movie. What a life. Theater is clean and service is fast being one of the few customers. I am not a fan of popcorn at the theater but just need to support this place. I can get use to having a theater mostly empty. I forgot how nice it is to experience the sound and laugher with other people. Tonight is a good night.

Finally we're able to see movies again and the place is deserted. It looks brand new inside. What a treat to see a movie with the whole theater to myself.... Even though Blackwidow was fair at best. The buttered popcorn and huge rootbeer soda kicked butt. I'm going back this week....

Regal cinema in Nanuet has always been a great movie establishment and I'm so glad that they return to its spot and then he went after so many years. It's a great movie establishment I have nothing negative to say about it I enjoy going to the movies on weekdays and weekends. This is my number one movie establishments and I recommend other people go here and I love taking my family friends on our eyes to see the latest movies are coming out as well as reruns for stuff that came out years ago so that I can be able to wash them on the movie screen again. My rating for this facility is five stars.

In the Shops at Nanuet near Macy's, the Limited and Zinburger, the Regal Cinema is new within the last 5 years I believe. The seats are nice and plush. The screen and the picture quality was amazing. The stadium seating offered a perfect view of the screen. The ticketing is the normal old school style which if you are a last Minute person for a popular movie, is the way you want to go. For this trip, that was me, so we got to the movie early and found good seats. Although with the stadium seating, someone would have to be a giant for me to not be able to see over there head. Concession line was so long and the vending machine wouldn't take my money so they lost out on that.

Nice and clean, although it is super new. I really liked the option of purchasing tickets online, then using the machines at the theater to pick up the tickets. No lines! Seats are really comfy and you can put the arm rest up so you can snuggle with your significant other :) Theaters aren't as large as Palisades but I kind of like that. I liked that they had some healthy snack options (see my photo). We got a box that consisted of crackers, cheese, salami, dried fruit and a small piece of chocolate that we shared. Perfect for us health-conscious folks!

This is a film made for the big screen - not at home. The IMAX film has excellent visual effects and outstanding surround sound. However, at 2 hours & 30 minutes the film a little bit too long. They could have trimmed it to 90 minutes - a bit boring slow middle, but a great beginning and fabulous ending. Plus, a there's a wonderful heartwarming story-line message throughout. Seating at the AMC cinema was very relaxing with comfortable recliner leather seating. Cinema is kept clean and up to date. Delicious hot popped popcorn. Perfect day for a movie. We rarely go to cinemas these days with so many streaming services, but AMC Palisades is worth the trip! Thank you!

Tickets can also be protected in advance with assigned seating. I won't bother reviewing prices because this is a movie theater. You know... They offer snacks, hot food, fountain drinks, beer, wine and of course, popcorn. Stubs members get a single free refill on popcorn and soda. The theater seats are spacious and comfy except for the seating on the floor level being rather useless. All seats have power and recline...when they work. During my recent visit, all 4 of our seats did not function/recline. Disappointing when you're paying a premium for the experience. I stopped at the customer service desk after the movie, told someone that happened and assumed I'd get a basic credit towards a future showing. Nope - the employee told me that I "should've come out and told them". Yeah, sure. The movie was starting and I doubt they'd pause the show to get an engineer to fix our seats...even if it might have been a simple solution. There are times where I've stood by the customer service counter and waited ten minutes or more for service. A simple compensation after the movie would've kept us satisfied. Poor customer service.

Cinemart is a full-service movie theater showing all the latest releases just like any major chain. Ticket prices are also far more reasonable than chain theaters. As of May 2026, a regular ticket is $13 compared to $22 at Regal UA Midway on Queens Blvd. You can buy tickets and pick your seats online. Concessions are similarly well-priced, at $15 for a large popcorn and drink. The popcorn was fresh and not overly salty, and they have a melted butter dispenser. The leather seats are comfortable and spacious, and the theater felt very clean and well-maintained compared to some of the chain theaters I've been to. No popcorn or trash scattered over the floors and seats. Overall, Cinemart is a great place to see a new movie, support a local business, and save money while still getting a high-quality experience.

A Local Legend: Why Cinemart Cinemas is the Heart of Forest Hills…read moreIf you're tired of the soul-less, overpriced experience of "Big Cinema," Cinemart Cinemas in Forest Hills is the antidote. As the oldest continuously operated theater in Queens, it manages a rare feat: it feels like a step back in time without actually feeling dated. Here's why this independent gem remains a neighborhood favorite: The Perfect Blend of Old & New Originally a single-screen venue, the Cinemart has evolved into a modern five-screen multiplex while keeping its historic soul intact. You get the neighborhood "mom-and-pop" vibe the moment you walk in, but you aren't sacrificing modern comforts to get it. The Seating: Don't let the "historic" label fool you. The theaters are packed with plush reclining seats that rival (and often beat) the major chains. The Atmosphere: The cafe lounge area adds a touch of class, making it a great spot to decompress before or after a film. Unbeatable Value In an era where a night at the movies can feel like a car payment, Cinemart keeps it accessible. Their pricing is famously fair, but the real "crowd-pleaser" is their free popcorn promotions. Depending on the day or the deal, getting a fresh bucket of popcorn included with your ticket is a throwback to a time when theaters actually wanted you to come back next week. What's Playing? One of the best things about Cinemart is its eclectic programming. You'll find: Current Blockbusters: The big hits everyone is talking about. Second-Run Gems: Caught a movie a few weeks late? They often host films that have finished their run at larger theaters, giving you one last chance to see them on the big screen. Why It Matters Cinemart isn't just a place to watch a movie; it's a piece of Queens' history. Supporting this theater means supporting independent cinema and a local landmark that has survived decades of industry shifts. Pro Tip: Check their schedule mid-week! That's often when you'll find their best "ticket + popcorn" bundles, making it the most affordable date night or family outing in the borough. The Verdict: If you want luxury comfort, nostalgic charm, and prices that don't make you flinch, Cinemart Cinemas is the best ticket in town.

The concessions are vital to a theater's resources and having many options is great. My only concerns have never been addressed by owners or management. The bathrooms in the lower section are tiny, dark and smelly, even at opening hour. The wait lines are long so you miss a lot mid-movie. The upper section has no bathrooms, but rather porta-potties, which aren't cleaned daily and are very dark at night. Another concern is projector brightness. Screen 1 has the brightest and largest screen and even dark themed movies are quite visible even in the rain. It helps that the projector is housed across the snack bar and very close to the screen. Screens 2 and 3 are projected from much farther away and into smaller screens. It seems that the projectors must be upgraded to liquid cooled laser projectors, whose brightness and clarity isn't affected with a proper lens. Instead in a dark themed movie, all one sees is only what is bright and so you're left guessing what's going on in the screen. This totally ruins the experience of going to the movies. There aren't many outdoor movie screens left and having the opportunity to enjoy one is an amazing experience. I truly hope and pray management addresses these issues, so that this establishment can continue to be enjoyed by generations upon generations!
