This AMC has a convenient location on the fourth floor of the Palitsades Mall. You can order concessions ahead of your visit with a specified pickup time. Tickets can also be protected in advance with assigned seating. I won't bother reviewing prices because this is a movie theater. You know... They offer snacks, hot food, fountain drinks, beer, wine and of course, popcorn. Stubs members get a single free refill on popcorn and soda. The theater seats are spacious and comfy except for the seating on the floor level being rather useless. All seats have power and recline...when they work. During my recent visit, all 4 of our seats did not function/recline. Disappointing when you're paying a premium for the experience. I stopped at the customer service desk after the movie, told someone that happened and assumed I'd get a basic credit towards a future showing. Nope - the employee told me that I "should've come out and told them". Yeah, sure. The movie was starting and I doubt they'd pause the show to get an engineer to fix our seats...even if it might have been a simple solution. There are times where I've stood by the customer service counter and waited ten minutes or more for service. A simple compensation after the movie would've kept us satisfied. Saturday, 25th April 2026 West Nyack, NY Rainy cloudy day 58°F 12:25PM - We were here to view the movie 'PROJECT HAIL MARY' with Ryan Gosling. This is a film made for the big screen - not at home. The IMAX film has excellent visual effects and outstanding surround sound. However, at 2 hours & 30 minutes the film a little bit too long. They could have trimmed it to 90 minutes - a bit boring slow middle, but a great beginning and fabulous ending. Plus, a there's a wonderful heartwarming story-line message throughout. Seating at the AMC cinema was very relaxing with comfortable recliner leather seating. Cinema is kept clean and up to date. Delicious hot popped popcorn. Perfect day for a movie. We rarely go to cinemas these days with so many streaming services, but AMC Palisades is worth the trip! Thank you! read more

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days to go! Thankfully I was able to experience that and watch The Devil Wears Prada. The seats recline, it was easy to buy tickets and there were no crowds. A chain movie theatre that has improved its seating to reclinable seats since long ago. If you want to save money on tickets, consider going on weekdays or mornings. Stubs rewards members also get discounts on a couple weekdays and it's free to join (but they try to upsell you and it's not worth it if you go very frequently). If you are a nurse, teacher or veteran, you can buy a black ticket through id Me and then you redeem at a kiosk at the theatre. The food and drink are pricey as expected. It was 8 years since I last went to the movies and I didn't really miss it. There were a lot of reasons why, but I decided to go back and break my nice streak - and I was glad I did. With one of my favorite and go to theaters closing a few years ago, options were a little slimmer but the AMC Palisades was a location I was willing to go. There are closer options, but I choose not to go to those theaters. Things have certainly changed from 8 years ago (from my perspective anyway) and for the better. I ordered my tickets online and got to pick my seats, but in non-crowded theater it doesn't really make a difference. You can order concessions online, but I chose not to. There are other things such as memberships, rewards, and all that on the website. The seats are a LOT more comfortable that before. I thought superior stadium seating with decently comfortable seats was the last great innovation, but these large, comfortable and reclining seats were very relaxing. The cupholders were quite nice and convenient as well. The prices for concessions are what they are. I was more disappointed that certain merchandise wasn't there (such as those specialty popcorn holders) that the jackals take opening weekends and sell for high prices online. Any staff I encountered were friendly. Located in the Palisades mall, there are plenty of (free) parking options. I liked going back so much, I went twice in a short span and have plans to go back from now on a little more frequently. This is a really nice movie theater in the mall that's easy to find. It's very organized and the food was good. Theater was clean. I wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner but it is very spacious and has nice mirrors in there. Staff was nice and tried to work fast with our food and getting us into the theater. First time visiting this location. At first, I felt alot was going on in the lobby area with how the concession stand is just in the middle of the place. The staff were not the most friendly & even though I was the only one on line they talked amongst themselves at the concession stand until I finally just walked up to the register & let the staff know I was ready to order. This is a great movie theater located in Palisades Mall. I have come here several times to catch a movie. AMC is located on the top floor next to several restaurants and bars. You can watch a movie after exploring the mall and having a nice dinner. For my family who don't enjoy commuting into the city to see a movie this is a perfect location. I like to visit this AMC because the prices are cheaper, there is more seating available, and you don't have large crowds of people. On the other side you don't get the packed, loud experience as you would in the city watching a big movie. Sometimes I would like to be in a large crowd when watching a Marvel movie like the Avengers. read more

Last time I was there, I was given the option of one cheese and one salsa or 2 cheeses. They didn't give me that option, only one cheese for all these nachos. My 1 Star Google and Trip Advisor Review... AMC robbed me of $47.36! Fire alarm was pulled halfway through Ghostbusters. The process of evacuating the building and reentering took half an hour. No biggie. BUT after that the 's who were running the projector spend an ENTIRE HOUR attempting to get the movie to play. After a total of 90 minutes waiting, my friend and I ran out of time. I went to the service counter and explained to the manager that we have been patiently waiting for 90 minutes to finish a movie and that we simply don't have any more time and need a refund. The rude idiot handed me a coupon for a free movie (which is useless to me cause it expires in 6 days and I'll be working). He told me it's company policy not to offer refunds, even during an equipment failure. AMC just lost a lifelong customer! Came here to watch Doctor Strange and the Madness of the Multiverse. Pretty nice movie and nice movie theater. I enjoyed the reclinable seats and how spacious the room was. I also liked how much cheaper this place is vs NYC. Didn't have to fight any crowd and there were tickets available on the release date. Definitely worth coming more to this place to watch fresh out of the oven movies without having to fight any crowd and be able to thoroughly enjoy and have a peaceful and meaningful experience read more

This is the second AMC theatre I've been to while visiting the Tri-State Area, and I have to say, the one in New Jersey beats this one by a mile. That's not saying that I didn't have a great time here (and the movie we saw, "Ma", was surprisingly good), but in terms of cleanliness, I'll have to give the Palisades AMC a lower rating. The bathrooms... YIKES. It was a toilet paper extravaganza with wet floors. The theatre itself was one of the smaller ones, so you got to feel like you were at home watching a movie in a swanky private screening room.. that hadn't been cleaned up in a while. There was a mysterious soggy napkin containing God knows what in the cupholder of my seat, and thank goodness I had my hand sanitizer on me after I disposed of whatever that was was. Eek. Besides the obvious need for a more thorough cleaning of the theatre, I did enjoy myself. They have a wide array of (expensive) movie snacks - even a few tasty looking gluten free options - chocolate covered pretzels for the win! I was also delighted that they had the Coca Cola Freestyle machine with all the unique flavors of diet sodas for me. I LOVE Diet Raspberry Fuze Iced Tea, but it's impossible to find, so I was happy to sip one whilst watching the film. We'll probably be back, I just hope they clean up the place a little more before we do! read more

PROS: This theatre has many movies showing since it has a lot of screens. The rates are the same as any amc and the people here are friendly. The customers are not shady like what other amc's have. They also have recliners in all screenings. CONS: The ticket line is very slow and they combine the customers buying tickets and the customers that already bought the ticket lines. The bathrooms are disgusting in the mens room. The recliners also seem to be worn out from all the people who sat in them. The springs need to be replaced OVERALL: If you were in this mall and wanted to see a movie then I would recommend this, but not over other amc's read more

This is my first and last time visiting this theater. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. My friend and I drove about 40mins to watch Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America. When we arrived the staff at the check-in and the concession stand were super friendly and welcoming. We purchased our popcorn and drinks and proceeded to theater #6. At this point is where everything went downhill. The theater had a slight smell of wet mops as soon as you entered, but I ignored it because I was so excited about the documentary. The more we walked into the room the colder it got. We walked to our assigned seat but couldn't sit there because it was wet and sticky and didn't recline. Luckily, we were the only two so we shifted our seats and tried to make the best of it. After a while of sitting in the freezing theater with gloves and my winter coat on, I decided to go and ask for the heat to be turned up. When I got to the service desk, there were 3 or 4 people behind the desk laughing it up and hanging around. I told them that the theater was unbearably cold to the point where my nose was running uncontrollably. One gentleman said that he would adjust the temperature. I said thank you, used the bathroom, and then back to the icebox with hopes that the heat would get better. Sad to say nothing changed. At the end of the movie, my friend again spoke with a staff member, Jose, a manager. He provided what I would consider poor behavior of a manager in addressing a customer's concerns. No, we didn't want a refund because we can support the only black film that was shown during this time of black history month. I typically enjoy this theatre. Unfortunately, this visit left a very distasteful feeling for a few reasons. The theatre room we were in was EXTREMELY cold. We did complain to a manager (Jose) who apologized and said "there's nothing else I can do but turn the heat up." For clarification, I prefer cold temperatures... but this was uncomfortably cold! The manager insinuated that if we wanted a refund we should've requested it before the movie ended. My friend and I were the only ones in the theatre. This was the only black supporting movie playing and we wanted to ensure that the documentary profited from our support. Otherwise, we would have left. I have been loyal to AMC since 2011. I go to the movies frequently, but this theatre needs serious Maintenence. The seats we purchased did not work (didn't recline) and we're in poor condition. Since the theatre was empty, we just moved over to other seats (this would not have been possible if it was sold out). Overall, management needs to care a bit more about the customer experience. For starters, an apology would have gone a long way. He could have walked with us to the theatre to check on the issue (it was an evening screening and the theatre was empty). He also could have offered us to return and watch the film when the issue was resolved. I asked for a phone number or email to follow up on this and he would not provide me with either stating that they were out of business cards and I could "just Google it." Thankfully, this is not my local theatre. I have no need to return to this AMC, but I am a supporter of the franchise and hope that they resolve these issues quickly. It is a big disorganized when you walk inside and could be cleaned more frequently. It seems to be run by teenagers and no adults. But other then that it is a nice theater. Keep in mind its early in the day so I can't vouch for how it will look on a Saturday evening, but from my experience this cinema is usually clean. read more

Me and my terminally ill friend tried to enjoy some of our last moments together. We wanted to see this movie so badly, but no. Lilian denied us. We paid full price to see this movie but Lilian NEEDED to see our ids to let us in. Then she said that since i'm 17 i can see this movie but my friend is 16 and 9 months old so she wouldn't let him in. Then she refunded us by giving us a gift card and the card didn't include the tax we paid originally. Lilian has never felt equally returned love and i would appreciate if somebody would lock her up. At least get her fired. This is an unheard of experience and the worst thing that's ever happened to us. I cant believe an npc ruined our day. read more

Loved this theater for the great screens and comfortable (in the dark) seats. But between most of the coke machines not working usually and the understaffed everything it's been a disappointment. The worst of all though is the DISGUSTING bathrooms. The stall walls are rusting and crusty, the floor always filthy and rarely any toilet paper. It's just gross. AMC Palisades, NY has disappointed us and left us with a desire to NEVER visit them again. My wife and I were at an Indian festival in Nyack, and decided to stop by AMC Palisades in Nyack, NY to see Ford vs Ferrari at 1800. I have been an AMC Stubs member for over 8 years and an AMC A-List member since its inception. While waiting we decided to walk around the mall, my wife got thirsty and purchased herself a Bobba Tea. Now it's 1745. It was time to enter and take our seats, so we walked up to the ticket taker person and he immediately tells us that my wife can't enter with her Bobba Tea, she must finish the drink and get rid of it before being admitted, this is a 16 oz drink, there's no possible way she can gulp that down in minutes; this ticket taker person also told us that we're too early for the showing (mind you it's 1745 and the movie starts in 15 minutes). We couldn't believe our ears, so we asked to speak with the manager. Well lo and behold! The manager said the same exact thing! He mentioned that, she must drink it before entering and we must buy beverages at the concession,. That's fine, I don't have an issue with purchasing food at the concession. What I do have an issue with, is that no AMC that I know of sells Bobba Teas!! If they did, my wife and I would definitely purchase it from the their concession. We explained that we have been to multiple AMC theaters in NYC, NJ & PA, and in my 8 years of being an AMC loyal member, we have NEVER, EVER encountered this problem.
