This theater is just okay. The entrance to the main parking garage was unexpectedly closed so we had to park across the street, which delayed us. The line for concessions was crazy long and made us miss the start of the movie. The imax theater has a lot of steps. It's a unique design, but not very accessible. This is my childhood movie theater, and I have seen the progress of this movie theater in just about my whole comprehendible life. Since I've been in all the theaters let me break it down. IMAX - as a kid, I saw the dark Knight movie with my dad here and I thought it was amazing. Then I saw Demon Slayer recently and realized this theater...kinda sucks. It needs to be updated seats wise. The screen in this theater is the largest though, and you actually have to climb stairs to get on the platform to watch the movie. 4DX - I was disappointed by my Demon Slayer IMAX adventure so I ended up seeing the dubbed version (to change things up) in 4DX. I had a freaking BLAST because this movie had a lot of elements and they are fighting and falling, you go on quite the journey in that chair. I was worried that if I had popcorn, it would fly everywhere but that didn't really happen much in this movie. However, when I saw chainsaw man in the same theater, even though it started off, kind of slow the explosions in that movie made me feel like I was slipping out of my seat if I wasn't holding the cupholders. I can see why some people may not like this, especially if you're prone to motion sickness. RPX - honestly, it's the best of both worlds. The seats are comfortable, the screen is large, and it's an enjoyable experience. Overall, I love this movie theater, and I always will. I hope the screen explanations help! read more

Hi Yelpers, the theater was good. It's right in the middle of a bunch of stores. It's like a multi theater. If that makes sense. There was an arcade and games to play before going to see the movie. The outside of the screening room was clean and the concession line was not crowded and clear of litter on the floor. We sat in the front, the second level. The seats were really good, F9-F12. There's cup holders with the seats. The sound was also good. I'll visit this theater again. read more

Purchase my tickets a month in advance for Avatar 3 Fire & Ash in the 4dx theater. Purchase the Avatar cup and matching popcorn bucket. They also had these cute kitten ears that light up and couldn't help myself. I'm a reward member and had so much points I was able to get a Free large popcorn and Free large Coke. Line was fast but by the time we turned around the place got immediately packed to kick off a Saturday night. Staff was very accommodating and cashier was funny. My only problem came about 15 minutes after the movie started. The screen goes black the flood lights proceed to flash we thought we were in a horror movie. We sat and waited and finally I chose to go out to speak to any staff. Was told a black out affected some of the theaters and unfortunately that's all they were aware of. I continued back to the theater to let the rest of the customers know what's going on. During my second trip to the lobby we were told if anybody wants to leave they have vouchers to handout but no refunds. The customer service line was egregious and the lobby now a madhouse. I just went back to the theater and another 20 minutes later the movie went on. Lights stayed on for another 10 minutes. The lack of communication with the theaters was extremely atrocious if I and others didn't get out of our seats to find out the problem we would have never know. read more

Came here for a fathom event for my sister. I ordered a large slushy Pepsi, large popcorn, and spicy chicken sandwich with fries from the concession stand to share with my kid. When I bit into the sandwich, I was surprised it was frozen. I had a second sandwich made correctly but my tummy wasn't feeling happy to enjoy it. I got seated in room 7, the seats were all worn out and dingy. I understand in the summer movie theaters are cold from the AC, but I didn't expect to be freezing in the winter. I recently visited this theater to see the little mermaid on a Friday night, and the place was packed. My friend purchased advanced tickets for us to see the movie in 4G. I haven't been to the movies since before COVID, so I was pleasantly with our comfortable seats. To my surprise, I was in for me than just comfy seats. My friend warned me of what to expect during the 4G experience. However, you don't know until you know, lol. I felt like I was on a little baby rollercoaster ride with the seats moving. lite water splashing in your face and the characters coming at you with your 4G glasses on. lol. It was so much fun and entertaining. I don't think I can go back to regular now. If you're ordering refreshments, get there early because the lines were very long. I was starving and ordered the chicken sandwich, fries, and drink for $1,000 loll ok it was about $20 something. After waiting on line for over 30 minutes, I then had to wait another 20 minutes to pick up the food, which was unreal. However, when I finally got that food, it was delicious. I was shocked at how tasty the chicken was and would definitely order it again. They have tons tons of parking for a fee, just remember where you park. I was looking on the upper level, and my car was on the lower level. lol read more

Where to start? Absolutely an experience you need to try it for yourself. The movie theater is nice. It was clean and had great menu items to choose from. The 4D was not what I was expecting. (In a good way) I really did feel as if I was in the movie I was watching. There was water and your chair does move quite a bit. I enjoyed myself. Chairs were beyond old the black leather was so faded it looked white. Theater was cold as if they didn't have the heat on to save money. I only came here to meet up w/ my NYC family to see the Wizard of Oz. It was the 85th anniversary. My sister ordered a chicken sandwich that was frozen in the middle. The manager gave her another order w/ fresh french fries(it came w/ the order). The popcorn was delicious. Something about movie theater popcorn hits different than the bagged ones @ home. The only thing is I'm used to CT. movie theater where they have salt & a butter machine. You put how much extra you want.I gave it 3 stars b/c of how nice the staff was. Employee taking tickets let me go sit down in the back ( I got the movie time messed up thought it was for noon but it really started @ 1:10) & the manager who replaced the food due to employee incompetence. This is a lovely theater. The prices of movies have sky rocketed but this makes it all bit worth it because it's around so many other things. Which makes this a possible all day thing. The lines for food and beverages moved quickly and the attendants were pleasant. The RPX experience had the most comfortable seats. Honestly, I am not really picky when it comes to movie theaters. I believe now that I am older, I prefer just the stadium seating or a good recliner to almost anything. I visited this theater recently and it was a nice experience. This is one of the better Regal theaters in the area. There is New Roc City and a Buffalo Wild Wings in the area that you can visit before or after the show. Pandemic has definitely taught me about comfort levels for real, The opening night packed movie screening I hope is really not a thing anymore. I prefer a giant movie theater with only 15 to 20 people to be honest, especially in these tense times with Covid-19. read more

This place is pretty decent. They open at 11:30 at least on Sunday so I had to wait in the cold for a few minutes but a woman who seemed to be the manager apologized. The guy who opened the door was maskless. Overpriced concessions but that's par for the course. They didn't have chicken tenders and I was told a cheeseburger and fries would take 25 minutes, so I opted for popcorn, candy, and soda. The theaters are nice with plush seats. This is my first time at a 4DX movie to see Scream. The theater is also nice but the seats don't appear very clean. Unless it's the flash on my camera. This is the closest, nicest theater to my parent's place. My first movie going experience in a few years so I'm excited! read more

I've been to this state of the art multiplex over 1000 times since it opened nearly 25 years ago and looking forward to going back tonight! The sound quality and projection are actually superior to any multiplex in NYC so I consider myself lucky to be within walking distance. Unfortunately audiences can be a bit dicey so I'd recommend getting a Regal unlimited pass and then going at off hours- weekday or evening shows can be so sparse that you get a private showing! I really hope that this business survives in this current time where movies are available to stream within weeks or even days of playing in theaters. read more

This movie theater has comfortable recliner seats and a team that is pleasant. I enjoyed my experience. Here are the fare warnings: 1. If you park in the garage, don't waste your time at the two paying machines in the structure. Go to the theater and a pay machine is located to the right or download the app. 2. The Concession stand doesn't offer any combos. Everything is served a la cart. 3. The theater rooms only display the number on the display board. So, be prepared with your ticket in hand to make sure you're entering the right one. 4. The rows are lettered with tiny lighted rectangle shapes on the floor. The seat numbers are in order from right to left (1-12). 5.The hot dogs are temperature checked before they are served. 6. The Supervisors/Managers are pleasant and helpful. I witnessed two in action that were female, professional, smiled at team members and used verbiage that reflected leadership. 7. If you lose something in the theater, go to customer service. The supervisor listened and immediately asked a team member who was super helpful and respectful. This young man walked me to theater six, got on his knees and laid down to find my son's IPhone. Which happened to be under the seat. I was so happy. read more

I never review movie theaters but this one was just really bad. Came last night to watch Shang Chi, we just moved into the area so it was a short walk from our apartment. But the experience was horrible, especially during a pandemic I would hope they enforced some social distancing rules... but there were no precautions taken in seating people with empty seats in between. Also masks are optional for vaccinated individuals, which is stupid because there have been many breakthrough cases... you can still get COVID (although it wouldn't cause severe illness, it'd just be a bad cold. But you can prob get quarantined from work as a result), but if you pass it to an unvaccinated individual then they'll likely develop really bad symptoms that could kill them. Especially if it's the delta variant. Additionally this theater just attracts a bad crowd, no offense. A couple had taken our seats and didn't bother checking their tickets when we asked, we didn't make a big deal out of it and sat in the adjacent chairs... but another couple came and sat next to us and one of them had her arms all over my seat and was touching me. We work in healthcare so we take a lot of precautions. Regardless of the pandemic, it's a really uncomfortable situation to have someone all up in your space lol. We then moved to other empty seats on the same row but the recliner was broken, this must explain why the first couple took our seats. Throughout the entire movie, people were talking and joking around, laughing, etc. at inappropriate scenes (eg laughing/giggling during a sad scene) and purposefully walking back and forth in front of the projector. It just seemed so disrespectful. The only time they were quiet were during intense fighting scenes, or the music must have been loud enough that we didn't hear them. Some guy even did a fake + loud sneeze, I guess for jokes because it's a pandemic?... *face slap* Anyways, never coming back. I would much rather drive further away to a theater with a more courteous and respectful community... no offense New Rochelle. Nowadays staying home and watching movies might be the way to go anyways, I am not surprised why theaters are going out of business. read more

Not gonna lie - they have a BALLER IMAX Theater here. Monster screen, great sound system and killer sightlines. My move is to go a few weeks after an IMAX flick opens and then go to a late night show. Better choice of seats/sightlines and less crowd and related noise. I recently sat in one of their regular theaters and that was pretty sick too. Huge, comfy reclining chairs with tons of legroom. Major upside - you can buy tickets for RESERVED seats in advance. No more of this showing up crazy early so you're not in the front row - you know when you buy tickets where you'll be sitting. Def love that. Only real downside is the parking situation. The complex (not the theater) charges and it's usually overcrowded and their payment system SUCKS! You have to know what Zone you parked in and then enter your license plate number Every time I go I see people who don't understand the system and need help and/or have to go back to their car for the Zone or their plate #. Most people don't have their plate memorized... Clearly the parking system is an attempt to make people screw it up so they can write them a expensive ticket. I see it constantly. On a rainy day, the movies is best place to go for entertainment. This location has video games in front and we ended up playing Jurassic Park to pass time. I never played that game before and it was tons of fun! We had 40 minutes to wait and it was definitely a time killer...in a good way. I passed on buying popcorn and opted for a snickers ice cream bar and water. I know it sounds like a strange combination, but it was delightful at the time :) The seating areas was very clean and tidy. The seats reclined back and comfortable. IMAX theater was huge and a pain in the ass to navigate with a broken foot. I wont ever be back due to not living anywhere nearby and the meh atmosphere of the staff and theater. They should note ANYWHERE that to get to the IMAX theater u have to go up 2 flights of stairs to the handicap Level and then another flight to get to the regular seats. That sucked. The movie we went to see was awful and we would have left but navigation was almost impossible in the dark with a broken foot. So the movie was so bad that my husband and I both fell asleep and then woke up at some point and said F it were going now. That place was redonk-ulously expensive for how bad the whole experience was. read more

I went to go see an encore showing of the beautiful Japanese animation film, Weathering With You at 3PM today. This showing had been scheduled months in advance since Fathom Events was doing a collaboration with Regal Cinemas to show this movie in theaters for a 2-day exclusive presentation. I excitedly arrived at the New Roc Imax Theater (which I had never been to before), parked, bought some popcorn and Icee, and settled into my seat at 3PM. I thought it was odd that there were no previews showing, and others in the theater were confused as well. Someone went to go ask the person at the front what was going on, in which they reported they were "working on it". Some more time passes, until 3:30PM arrives and the lights in the theater turn on, and the workers tell us that the showing is cancelled. Thirty minutes after the scheduled time, and they didn't even tell us why! I was fuming, but didn't want to trouble the workers as I'm not one to lash out, so I collected my thoughts in advance for this review. They gave us a redemption ticket that expires in 2 months at Regal Cinemas only, and I will be using that, but certainly not at this theater, and make it noted that I will never be going to or recommending this theater again. Because how could I? How can I trust they won't completely cancel my or anyone else's movie showing at the last minute? As I wrap this review up, just know that if you plan on going to this New Roc Imax Theater, your movie showing runs the risk of being cancelled last minute. Thank you. read more

not much to say about this place. it was relatively clean and quiet. prices were not anything out of the ordinary in today's world of high expense and low quality, which is to say totally overpriced for the drivel you are receiving. the food was subpar with limited menu options of either prepackaged candy or bland concession food topped off with abysmal customer service. the leather recliner seats were chipping, the silver screen losing its luster and the bathroom's being hard to locate. overall nothing terribly offensive but nothing to write home about. read more
