Upon meeting, Angel could tell it's been a while since I've had a facial and recommended the diamond dermabrasion for a deeper clean but I held off, wanting just a regular facial for my first time. I stripped down into a towel dress, climbed onto the massage bed, and on came the facial steamer along with one of the most relaxing facial massages ever. She then proceeded with the extraction (minimal pain) and ended with a cooling mask under an LED light. She has such a gentle yet effective touch and it was so soothing I ended up falling asleep sometime during the 75 min session. My skin was visibly clearer and glowing after the session, giving me all the reason to come back. I've tried to make it a habit to return every 1-2 months but life catches up to you sometimes. Since 3 months have passed since my last facial, I added on the diamond dermabrasion to my latest session per Angel's suggestion. She also recommended the IPL treatment during the winter to lighten some of my sun spots. Three months was actually quite a break from facials so I'll be trying to come back at least every 1.5-2 months from now on. It took about a week to finally get connected to talk to someone to schedule an appointment because their hours of operation on yelp does not match their actual hours, which I believed should be updated. On their website, there's literally no provider you can schedule with either. So when I did get connected, the front desk says they'll call me back in 15 minutes but called me back after 30 minutes and they sounded fairly rude whatsoever. But anyways, I've arrived at my appointment and everything seemed fine. I was talking to the consultant and when the MA was available, I was asked to get my blood drawn for the PRP. The MA was having a difficult time finding a vein to poke (I've never had issues with drawing blood at the hospital). She was able to get one vial from the left and then it was slowly. She kept swiveling the needling in my arm and I was getting pissed. Then she gave me water and kept attempting to go for the right arm and was able to get a bit (which she claimed should be enough). Afterwards, when finishing my conversation with the consultant, it turned out I was not a good candidate as I am prone to keloid so the blood drawn was tossed. I ended up getting a IPL photo facial, which was done by Lisa. She was amazing and she made sure I was comfortable in between sessions. I'm waiting to see the results but am definitely seeing some clearing of my face. Would love to come back to try other treatments but definitely did not enjoy the first 30 minutes of my arrival.
