Went today to see the latest Mission Impossible release. What a great, big screen film! First time here and was pleased with the quality of the venue, ease of booking tix on line, and the friendliness of the staff. Plus, I didn't freeze my ass off during the flick! I am writing to express concern regarding the policy at NCG Monroe NC, which claims that service dogs are not permitted in the building. When I spoke with Christian, he declined to discuss the matter or provide information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) law pertaining to service dogs, instead directing me to contact the corporate office as the policymaking entity. Notably, there is no signage indicating this policy. Having attended the theater with my service dog, a boerboel, for years without issue, and more recently with my French Bulldog due to medical needs, I am disappointed by the inconsistency in enforcement. Despite visiting several times this year with the French Bulldog without incident, I believe NCG Movie Monroe NC should uphold the ADA guidelines and allow service dogs in the building. read more

The movie was great! "Twister" great seats. Sadly they had 3 teens come into the movie and after it started they start vaping. If your allergic to smoke you know how sick it makes you feel. This isn't the first time we have been there and had teens vaping beside up, I think mangement or security needs to watch for this ! I really had a pleasant experience watching Sing 2 with my Grandkids!! I love the fact that they offer free refills on Popcorn and Drinks, although we didn't need any. My advice would be to go for the Large Popcorn and Drink, this way you won't miss any of your movie.. plus, they are only $1 more than the Small size; both of which would need to be refilled a few times to equal a Large so, it's definitely worth it IMO. We can't wait to come back! -- My only complaint would be that it was rather expensive, and I was charged full price (an Adult Ticket) for both children and they certainly should be charging less! * if you recline your seat, you will have a slightly obstructed view of the screen as you can see from one of my photos... the tops of the seats in front of you block it somewhat. * it was FREEZING Cold! Everyone had Blankets on in there, including us, as we had to go get one from the car, and we all were wearing Coats!! Walking in this place looked pleasant, and well decorated. Approaching the counter, the women acted unapproachable. I then bought two basic tickets as she asked did I want recliners or not and didn't tell the price difference so I went with the basic tickets considering they are already $11 each. Next was popcorn and drinks. ONE small popcorn was $9!!! Insane. Then a small drink was $6 a piece. So I removed the popcorn as I was already sick to be paying that much. So in conclusion, it was $37 for two people to go to a movie theatre with basic seats in a basic theater with nothing special. Not to mention customer service was bland! read more

I took my wife and kids to see jurassic World at the 11 AM matinee and the top half of the screen wasn't working the heads of all the actors were cut off when I went to the kid working up front he said he would give us free tickets on the way out if we wanted to stay or refund us if not and give us free tickets which I feel was fair and rightfully so! However on my way out a manager named Dave rudely got involved telling us we stayed for the whole movie there was nothing he could do for us... as this was going on everyone else from the movie started asking for the same saying they had been told the same thing. The manager Dave was rude and called my wife a bitch! I will never take my family back to this place as long as this guy Dave works there it's unexceptionable for someone anyone really at a place of business to call a woman a bitch especially in front of her children! read more

Best movie theater ever. Not crowded and the theaters sit less people giving it a movie night at home feel. A huge (regular size) popcorn and a humongous drink are 9.50. And... Wait for it... They are refillable. The seats are leather and recline almost to a laying down position. Tickets are available trough Fandango and although the snack selections are few what they do have is not ridiculously priced. Oh and they have a place where you can add flavor a like Caramel, Kettle Corn and Garlic Parmesan to your huge, refillable popcorn. I'll be back ... In my terminator voice. read more

This is the The WORST movie theater I have ever been to. The movie theater is small, people are moving around, turning their flashes on, this girl is almost laying her head on me, and the WORST of all is that there is a baby crying right behind me. We are watching a rated r movie why would you even think to bring a baby... This is a HORRIBLE first experience and I will not be coming back ever. read more

I was welcomed with a loving greeting by a fella named Trey, he was the sweetest employee or well assistant manager there, he provided me with all the best snacks and drinks to choose and even pointed me in the right direction since I was walking the wrong way. We went to a sensory friendly viewing of Frozen 2 where the lights are supposed to be on and the sound lowered. The movie sounded just as loud as any other movie I've seen and the lights stayed off. We asked about at least turning the lights on 2 times and they never were turned on. Wound up leaving halfway through. I feel that we could've watched the entire movie without issue if it actually were sensory friendly as promised. The theater itself is decent but was disappointed that they didn't deliver what was promised as sensory friendly at all. read more

NCG Monroe was my favorite cinema until COVID 19 hit. Then the theatre decided to make some big changes. Right from the start at the register you realize things are not the same. Prices seem higher and they ask you to pick normal or premium seats, so because I did not want to pay an extra 2 dollars per ticket for premium seats me and my wife decided to get the normal tickets. Biggest mistake of the night, when they say premium seats they mean regular reclining and soft chairs nothing special, but the alternative the "regular" seats are like sitting on card board, they have no back support, no leg rests, and overall my body hurt when getting up after 2 hours. They also apparently like the idea of making it very clear by segregating the "premium seats" to the best positions in the theatre. Then we sit down to watch the movie we paid 20 dollars to see and they leave the door open the entire time so that you hear the loud action movie Next door the whole time. I honestly feel like I watched 2 movies at the same time. So my honest opinion is that everyone is hurting right now to COVID 19 and this theatre seems to be doubling down on reaching directly into their consumers pockets and attempting to steal more and more money, instead of uniting everyone over the amazing past time of seeing a movie. I cannot and will not ever recommend or attend a movie at this theatre again, completely disappointed! read more

First time wasn't so great (its probably been 2 or 3 years) but we gave this theater another shot. They have a new staff and they fixed majority of their seats. It's a lot cheaper then the Sun Valley Movie Theater plus its closer to home. read more

Kind of a undiscovered spot in Monroe to see movies. I went to this theather when it was not owned by NCG in the early 2000's and again recently. The changes NCG made were for the better and it definitely feels like an upgraded theater experience. There are regular and recliner seats in each theater ($2.50 ticket upgrade for recliner seats). They work hard to keep the theaters very clean between every viewing, have excellent ticket prices, competitive concession pricing, an awesome sound stage and great screens. I think my only complaint is the "convenience fee" that comes with ordering tickets online. These fees are part of using Fandango, but that is because Fandango acts as a middle-man for the transaction. The NCG website is directly run and owned by NCG so there isn't a middle-man situation in this case. This doesn't affect the theater or its quality just a complaint for a practice of charging additional fees for order tickets ahead of time. I still highly recommend this theater and if you're near Monroe or the surrounding area you should definitely check it out! read more

This movie theater is Da bomb. Tickets was reasonable priced, the Snacks were very good. Everybody was very friendly. The seating was outstanding and they reclined, but, still you have plenty of leg space. The Temperature was just right. And the restrooms was very clean. Even after the movie, you could still buy snacks to go. Also the picture was very sharp and the surround sound was very good read more

I have never been more appalled by a company in all my life. I was taking my daughter and my INFANT son to go see Guardian of the Galaxy. As we were being rung up I was told that I was going to have to pay for my INFANT son. and I was confused as WE HAVE NEVER HAD TO PAY for him at any other showing we've brought him to at this theater, the employee told me due to it being a popular movie that they would have to charge me even though he does not require a seat as he always sits in my lap. I felt this was ridiculous and left. After leaving I called and spoke to the manager Adam who then told me that they charge for ALL ages regardless of what movie it is. Which I find very off as WE HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED PRIOR. He made me aware that is up to the manger on duty to not charge based on age, I let him know that he may want to train his employees better that for all the movies that we've gone to see and never been charged that is a lot of money out of their companies pocket if it is so their policy to charge all ages, as well as he may want to explain to his employees on what to say as I was told it was because it was a popular movie, funny though cause the parking lot was empty. I will not be returning to this movie theater based on their way a family is treated...This is not a family friendly place and it's really sad because we loved going to this movie theater over Sun Valley but we will be returning to Sun Valley as they don't charge til 3.
