We made the hour drive from South Carolina to visit Monster Mini Golf in Monroe, North Carolina after seeing a TikTok about another Monster Mini Golf location in South Carolina. When we realized the Monroe location was actually about an hour closer to us, we decided to check it out, and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we had an absolute blast. The entire facility was spotless, incredibly well designed, and packed with fun for all ages. We loved the 18 holes of monster mini golf, had a great time at the mini bowling lanes, challenged ourselves in the laser maze, and spent plenty of time in the arcade. The laser maze took us a minute to figure out, but once we got the hang of it, it was a lot of fun. The customer service was what truly made this visit unforgettable. We mentioned that we were celebrating our youngest daughter's birthday, and Landon went above and beyond to make her feel special. Those little moments mean so much, and it was obvious that the monsters here know exactly how to take care of their humans. If you're looking for a place that's clean, family friendly, and genuinely fun, Monster Mini Golf in Monroe, North Carolina is absolutely worth the drive. We can't say enough good things about our experience, and we'll definitely be making the trip again.

My seared tuna was good, her flatbread was incorrect with buffalo sauce instead of hot honey and the pimento cheese was forgotten. Several more minutes before the pimento cheese was delivered. They apologized and said they would comp 1 wine or a dessert. I had finished my tuna before her flatbread was delivered that came with some sort of buffalo-mayo sauce, still not hot honey which was the only reason she ordered it. Waxhaw Escape room is by appointment only - so make sure that you just don't show up. They are located in a business strip next to 9rounds. It was really easy to make the appointment online. We were greeted right when we came in the door. The lobby area was nice and inviting. No cell phones are allowed and there are lockers to place your items. We received a brief tutorial and then it was time to put on the gear. We put on 4 sensors (on our hands and feet) and then the VR headset. This was my first experience and I enjoyed it. They seem to be open only two days a week and for a while I think it was just simply closed. But it was open this past weekend so my family and I went. Little did we know that they were having a living history event. We pulled in and saw people in costumes from different eras. It turned out to be really cool. We got to see the museum plus weapons demonstrations, cooking demonstrations in an historic cabin and more. It was a lot of fun. Plus there was the chance to learn a bit about the history of the region. From pre-colonial native history to revolutionary war era and beyond. It was fascinating.

We had great conversation, historical education all the while with the comfort and graciousness of an old friend.
