Pretty cool theater they show screen X on a few selected screens it's pretty dope with an action-packed movie. I love how everything is set up and clean. Staff is like most theaters ran by young people, so customer service can be hit or miss. So far, all has been well. This is the go-to spot when in town for work. This regal theater is outstanding. The atmosphere and ambiance is by far the best I've seen in a movie theatre. Leather reclining chairs, great picture, and loud speakers make for a encompassing experience. The only downside I would say is the price. Three tickets and a popcorn cost us just shy of $75. All in all though, this theatre has come a long way from what it used to be. read more

This is one of the first times I have been here in a while! I didn't know this but they have at least one theater that has reclining seats! I sat at what they called a sofa! Lots of space and they tables are a nice touch as well because they are very convenient to put your popcorn or other food as you eat and watch the movie! read more

I say this ONLY because of the prices. Yes, granted it's a nice movie theater, but, the prices are a little high. I wanted to get 1 adult and 2 seniors for The Forge for a Wednesday night and it's nearly $50.00!! By the time you add popcorn and drinks or some other kinda snack food, you've spent almost $100.00 or more! I don't think matinee prices are much better. If you want to go here, you'd best have the money to do so! read more

The first photo is showing the lights never being fully turned off during The Batman 2022. The next was when they fully turned the lights on before the it even ended. After contacting Regal they gave me ONE free RESTRICTED movie pass out of the two tickets I got, the pass was not to be used with "no pass" movies, even though the movie I saw WAS a no pass movie, meaning they clearly did not fully recompensate me. My very next movie showing the movie theatre was filled with loud people and nobody tried to stop it. I told regal that since I couldn't use my free movie pass on this showing which I got THREE tickets for, I wanted at least one restrictionless ticket or a refund and they offered me nothing, and showed no remorse for my two bad experiences in a row. So yeah I'm done with Regal Cinemas I'm not paying 15-$20 a ticket to be constantly interrupted or not even be able to fully see the damn screen. Keep a better eye on your theatre rooms. Have better ways to appease ruined experiences. read more

I have been to this theater 3 times now for different movies. All three times, the employees I have interacted with were very nice and one gentleman opened a door for me. With all that being said, the theater rooms on the side with the small room numbers (1-8) have spots on the projector where the exit signs block some of the screen. Additionally, the second time I visited, I saw a mouse that ran up the side of one of the isles... I heard another mouse last night . Other than that, this theater is really great!. read more

Theater is remodeled but needs some more upgrades. The sound in theater 12 is lacking. There is a blown speaker on the ride side, so watching an action movie in this theater is underwhelming. The recliners are nice. read more

If the line is long at the window, they have a kiosk near the mall entrance where you can purchase movie tickets without waiting. You can also purchase them through the app. The movie seats are comfortable and clean. Movie times run all day and are listed online, in the app, on Facebook and at the theater. I've never left a review for a movie theater but am compelled to now. Everything here was fine except the seats are incredibly uncomfortable to the point I will not return. I'm 5'1", and the head rest is too high for me which pushes my head forward. I cannot recommend Regal Cinemas based on my experience today. There was no dedicated ticket counter, so my party of five had to go to the concession stand to get tickets. We always get tickets first and then send one person to concessions because it's difficult to find 5 seats together. There are several concession lines which forces customers to compete with each other for service, rather than on a first-come-first-served basis. We picked a line, and the five of us waited for the cashier to serve one person something that really challenged her knowledge and skill. Customers who arrived after us completed their transactions and we waited and waited. When our cashier was finally done with the single customer ahead of us, she went to restock straws. Unapologetically, she returned to serve us. We bought our tickets and food, but she asked us to return for the food. The theater was full by the time we arrived to locate our seats. A lone "gentleman" was unwilling to move over a couple of seats so we could sit together (which I understand), so we went to the seats in the front of the theater where one needs to look straight up and everything looks distorted. My wife and son went back to get the food, and the cashier ignored them while they stood in the spot she told them to wait. It was only when they got back in line that another cashier served them. The other cashier was shocked that we had not received any of our food when we ordered it. Unfortunately, our food was gross: the pepperoni on our pizzas was rancid, the boneless wings were gummy, and the dipping sauce was rancid. The popcorn and hotdog were acceptable. As you know, it's not reasonably priced food - so it should at least be unspoiled. It is unfortunate that Regal Cinemas is spending money on the appearance of the theater, but not on improving customer experience. read more

Okay, listen. Yes this place is old, yes it could use some renovations, yes it's located in the armpit of Hagerstown, but keep in mind it is a movie theater in the middle of Valley Mall. That environment doesn't necessarily warrant the need for a prestige theater. In my experience, the staff has always been friendly, the theaters have always been large enough to fit a pretty large amount of people, and the movie quality is just about the same as any other run of the mill movie theater. There is nothing fancy about this place, nor is it something that I would go out of my way to recommend...but it's a theater in a convenient location that also just so happens to have $6 tickets on Tuesdays. The prices are outrageous for snacks and drink (movie snacks are never cheap) but $8.00 for a small bag of chips and even less nacho cheese, not to mention the girl waiting on us at the snack bar had an attitude taking our order. The seating isn't as comfortable as they make it out to be. Also we ordered our tickets online which was super easy and quick & printed them out at a kiosk with no problems. Then spent 2 hours and 25mins in a theater with no air conditioner, the temperature on the thermostat read 82°, felt more like do you have 85° with no air flowing. As a theater why would they even be showing movies in a hot theater with pleather seats ?!? I paid almost $170.00 between tickets and snacks and then was so miserable during the whole movie I had to keep walking out to the lobby so I could cool off for a second and breath. None of the 5 children( ages 11-15) I had with me even wanted to stay through the movie bcuz they were all too hot and sticking to their seats. There are more then enough theater rooms that they could have closed the one with no AC until it was fixed. Asked the staff and they said it has been broken and then walked away with out even apologizing.. I will not be returning here . And they didn't even turn the lights off during the movie ... ??? This was a waste of money and I wish that my favorite theater was still open on Litersburg Pike. I would no ever recommend this theater to anyone. What a waste of movie and time. Wish I would have gotten a picture of the sweat running down both mine and my husbands faces during the movie. For a movie theater in a mall that looks like it was forgotten by time in a relatively small city, this place is actually alright. I don't want people to think I'm some big city snob, but while this place wouldn't play in D.C., maybe its outer suburbs, for Hagerstown, it seems to serve its purpose well. It actually had a lot of screens and was playing movies I might not have expected. I went to it to see A Walk In The Woods (kind of an art film) as close to the Appalachian Trail as possible and was pleasantly surprised to see a relatively full theater full of guests that were quiet (mostly) during the film and appreciated the story. One issue I definitely had was that a matinee here is $8.40. I was kind of sticker shocked. But my seat was comfortable and the sound was crystal clear. They have full stadium seating though if you're now used to the taller, fancier kind that AMC and Cinemark provide the sightlines do leave a bit to be desired. Popcorn and other snacks are very expensive here. I was not expecting $5.99 for a small by any means so I passed it up. Thankfully, parking was a breeze at this mall and I was able to hit up a Waffle House soon after the movie let out. Which is something that being in Hagerstown for a movie afforded me that one closer to home would not have. read more

I highly enjoy going to this theater. Staff is friendly and the theaters are pretty clean. They've really stepped up their game. Although the prices for their concession prices are high, it's good quality food than most theaters have. I'm thankful for the Regal app because it allows me to earn points every time I go which earns me free movie tickets and snacks. The sound in the theater is never bad and the picture quality for their movies is great. They could get rid of those annoying arcade games at the entrance though or at least replace them with newer, more exciting ones not just for kids but for older people as well. I don't think I've ever seen anyone rent out the party room they have there. Open that space up to some nicer activities. read more

What was supposed to be a new, fun, exciting experience for my 6 year old, ended up being a horrible first movie theater experience. We arrived 30 minutes early to our movie (seeing the new Space Jam) and while in the parking lot noticed a group of about 15+ teenagers hanging around a fire exit door outside of the theater. After about 10 minutes of them standing there, the door opened and all of them entered. Being a teenager at one point myself and getting into shenanigans at that age, thinking there's other horrible things they could possibly be doing now days, I didn't want to be the ones to blow up their spot. We enter the theater with 15 minutes before show time, and guess who comes running in and out? None other than the same group of teenagers who snuck into the theater. For the entirety of the movie these kids were disruptive, rude and obnoxious. Continuously moving seats, running up and down the aisles, kicking the back of the seats in front of them (which just so happened to be where we were seated), and talking throughout the entire movie. My 6 year old behaved better than they did! Not once did I see any attendant for the movie or someone to check tickets! Not once did I see any employee of the theater except at the food stand. I will NEVER be bringing my children to this theater again. read more

I know theaters are screaming poverty despite record ticket sales but this theater needs a little work. The front lobby looked great but once you got into the theater you quickly find the chairs are cracked, broken and just plain uncomfortable. Just the cup holder on the end of the arm rest being a good 2 inches above the rest of the arm rest was enough to drive me absolutely insane. Also I know high school kids aren't a particularly motivated group of workers but the crew here is terrible, it was like dealing with zombies. I don't live anywhere near here and thank goodness we were only visiting cause I'd hate to have this be one of my only options for going to the cinema. read more

I and my wife went to the theater yesterday, the movie was excellent but afterwards we purchased $105.00 worth of tickets for our grandchildren, the sign said for a $50 purchase you receive a $10 bonus which we never received. The attendant called for the manager and he refused to come but told her to tell us we did not purchase in the right order so we don't received the $20 in gift cards we were told. The attendant was very pleasant and I felt so bad for her, she said it wasn't right that we weren't given what they promised, she was left to do the mangers job because he did no have the guts to face us himself. Why is he still there? We wanted go tomorrow but decided we will go to another theater. Yes we are very angry about the $20 but even more about the gutless manager that gives his work to a young who works under him! Ron M. read more

I've recently moved to the area, and I'd choose this theater over the regal in Frederick. There's always parking, it's never too packed, you don't have to choose your seats ahead of time (that's always annoyed me), and best of of all . . . they're remodeling. What a joke these theaters are!! This is the second time I have been here and had a problem. the first time I was watching a 3D movie but they forgot to activate the 3D. This time half the screen was missing on FirstLook which means no one saw any advertisements. Why would you want to advertise here? I told one of the employees(who could have cared less) and they said they thought it would be corrected when the movie started. Another employee came into the theater and told someone that the computer for this one theater needed to be reset but no one knew how to do it! From now on I will drive across town to Leitersburg cinemas where the seats are better and the people are helpful and courteous!! read more

Just walked out and got a refund from the manager. Started with less than competent personnel at ticket booth and ended up leaving after over 20 minutes of being captive to endless trailers and advertising. Don't go to movies a lot anyway, but this is the last time at Valley Mall. For the first day release, less than 30 in theater anyway -- minus 2 when we left. Only saving grace is I cleared out a lot of text messages from my cell phone! Now I understand the great attraction and competition from Netflix! Made a believer out of me. Marketing departments need to get a grip and understand we're paying $22 to see what we chose to see, not be forced to see junk. Not a good expeirence whatsoever. My boyfriend and I just recently moved here and wanted to go see the new Purge movie. Before we even got in the young girl who was selling us our tickets was grossly and unprofessionally flirting with my boyfriend in front of me and was clearly being to ditzy to pay attention to her job which is the worst part of my exerience. Not only were the tickets overpriced but so were our drinks and a medium popcorn(our popcorn was in a sitting bag and made the both of us very sick)- over FORTY dollars for two tickets and popcorn and drinks for the two of us. We ingnored all the irritating things that had happened so far becuase we were excited to see our movie. We sat there for FORTY-FIVE minutes watching previews until the movie finally started and we realized she sold us tickets to the wrong movie. At this point we were fed up with the whole expeirence and walked out becuase we just wanted our money back. When we went back to the girl and told her what she did and that we wanted our money back she unprofresionally started laughing uncontrollabling and followed that with an unsincere apology and then offered for us to wait to two hours and see The Purge the next time it was playing which wouldv'e been nearly 11 o'clock at night. She ended up getting her manager for us who didnt even say a word and but luckily gave us our money back and two movie free passes. It was a total waste of time and a overall really shitty experience. read more

I was charged a full adult 3D movie price for a five year old, and didn't see it until I got home. I wonder how often they do this?! Movies are already expensive, so it would be nice to keep the extra couple of dollars in my pocket. I won't go back for the refund because I rarely go to this area, but it will make me think twice before going to this theater again.
