Can you leave no stars? I would sure hope so as they earned none! After scanning our tickets we were told our particular theater had no AC. We were offered a refund or reschedule but, already being here, quite far away from home, we weren't going to be coming back before our movie was gone so, we chose to stay. At the snack stand we asked for some kettle corn seasoning with our popcorn and they had none, we wanted a frozen Pepsi drink but, they did not have the Pepsi flavor. We looked for a popcorn salt shaker and there was none. We tried to get ice cream but their card reader wasn't working right so they couldn't run the card. The seats in the theater are as uncomfortable as can be...fake leather vinyl that you can sit straight up in or lean the back, back and then risk sliding off the seat. No recliner feature! Hoping our movie is better than this theater. I won't be coming back here unless it's for free. read more

Everyone who is complaining about the ticket prices should go to Costco and pick up the Regal discount tickets. You can use them for any show! We never pay full price for movie tickets anymore. It's time for this theater to be renovated -- the seats aren't very comfortable at all. The concession stand has had slow service for as long as I can remember. Wanted to see a new release and tried the IMAX...and found it to be a literal ear-splitting experience. The sound was cranked so high it was worse than sitting in the middle of a pack of wild lawnmowers and drag racing cars. Why would anyone subject themselves to almost certain permanent hearing damage here? Only 4 others in the place so nothing to a absorb the blasting sound. Ted Nugent and a Kiss concert were quiet by comparison and Nugent had the loudest concert on record that this still beats. The one minute there gave me a massive headache and my ears rang for an hour. This is something I would STRONGLY advise you don't allow your kids to attend. Not a joke....you WILL have hearing loss. 1st theater experience since the pandemic and would never return here. Wouldn't turn down either. Didn't bother to verify just how loud it was. Refunded and left. Won't ever bother coming back. Louder is not always better. Clueless staff. More clueless manager. read more

We just sat down to watch Frozen 2. The theatre is trashed and there's a funky scent. Seems like the staff didn't clean after the last movie. One restroom (ladies) close to the theater is currently closed. The other restroom in the lobby is trashed. Multiple stalls out of toilet paper and no soap on both dispensers. I'm immediately reminded why I do I prefer watching movies at home. This place needs serious help!! More staff on busy holiday weekends, please. read more

Frederick needs another Theater ASAP. Regal Westview is overpriced and poorly managed. The Theater is rundown, dark, and gross. Adult tickets for a 9:30 am movie cost $11.00. Concessions are ridiculously priced, and the quality is poor. You never see or smell fresh popcorn at this theater either, even when you go to a matinee. Fredericktonians deserve better! The Regal in Germantown and AMC Rio in Gaithersburg are much better Theaters with discounted prices for matinee and morning tickets. Both are clean, too. They are worth the drive when Regal Westview is your only other option. read more

This is probably the worst movie theater I've ever been to. No body to check tickets or give directions. The doors were open so you could hear other movies playing during our own, and other people were coming in and out of our movie theater through the whole movie because they were lost. The theater is ok. Confessions are a little too slow on busy nights. Took me 30mins to get something before Endgame making me miss the first 5 mins. Usually there's a cashier and a runner but the cashier did both making it extremely painful. Now disappointed John Wick 3 isn't in IMAX. The movie in IMAX has been out for three weeks and currently only 7 people reserved for a seat, instead they miss out in having a sold out IMAX John Wick show. Very disappointed. read more

Good movies, seats & concessions BUT to start my visit today the previews were SO LOUD I stood outside Theater 5 in the hall and heard the previews just fine even though didn't get to see them. Management said previews are usually louder than the regular movie and to let them know if the movie was too loud. Movie was fine. The LOUDEST I'VE EVER HEARD previews drove me out in the hall till the movie started. I would have preferred to watch the previews in the seat I paid for. Will be going to a different nearby city to see the movies from now on. read more

I've been here many times. The employees are usually friendly and helpful. The theaters and bathrooms are clean. Concession stand prices are outrageous but c'mon... it's the movie theater! The concession stand offers hot food now. We tried the loaded fries and I probably won't get them again. It's probably best to stick to the standard movie snacks. read more

I went here in the summer of 2008. I've had the worst service from this theater, and I'm surprised that I still remember. The girl at the ticket booth (or box office) had an attitude and slid the ticket through the little slit after I paid for the ticket, and that was incident 1. Incident 2, I was at the concession stand ordering a tray of those mini pretzel nuggets with cheese on the side, and I swear on a stack of old newspapers I saw the guy preparing the snack and spat in the cheese while adding more cheese. I complained to the manager that he spat in my food, and the manager gave me my money back. Incident 3 was when the other people in the theater was making a whole bunch of noise and carrying on like a pack of hyenas from The Lion King!!!! I was so disgusted that night. I vowed to never come here again. The next time I went here was back in the summer of 2011, because my cousin from PG County came up to Frederick to visit me, and this is the nearest theater from my house, so we ended going here. I know I promised to never come here again, but the service wasn't really bad this time around. I did not ordered any snacks from the concession stand, and the movie I saw was pretty good. The next thing I hear is the murder of Ethan Saylor, a man with Down Syndrome in this exact theater. It was so sad that the police murdered him just because he refused to leave the theater just because the movie he saw was so good and he enjoyed himself. The employee and manager told him that he must purchase another ticket in order to watch the movie again, and then the rest was history. This young man was killed for no reason, and they did not care that he had a disability. For this theater, I give this theater 1 Star (should be 0 stars). I would rather go to Montgomery County or Columbia to watch a movie, and besides the customer service at this theater is very poor and those teenagers who work here are very, very, very disgusting!!!! These teenage bastards that live and work in Frederick County need to be fired unless they learn how to treat customers with respect!!! read more

I can't believe all the people on here complaining about the cost of IMAX and concessions. Those things are expensive everywhere! This theater is no worse than any other and the staff here is very nice. I go almost weekly, either with my kids or for date night. Some of the employees recognize me, and that's really nice. I do wish they would get rid of the vinyl on the seats because it sticks to my legs when I'm wearing shorts or a dress. Other than that, the seats are comfortable. They have the arms that you can move out of your way, they rock back a little, and there's a lot of leg room. read more

Make sure you purchase your tickets online or arrive VERY early. Went to a show on Tuesday night. The ticket booths were closed, and they sent us to the concessions counter instead. They did not have a dedicated line for ticket purchases only, so had to wait behind families ordering multiple food and beverages. Then their computer terminal froze up for someone's order, but they still didn't open up a separate line for tickets. Result: it took a full TWENTY MINUTES just to buy our tickets! Thank goodness for long previews! Really reflected poorly on management and their training of employees. Will be avoiding this chain entirely in the future. read more

Worst experience ever terrible management and customer service. after my party being almost half the amount of total people in a kids movie tonight and the movie having to be restarted due to audio issues. A manager comes and tells me I would need to take my daughter out if she cries when she had just started to cry no more than a few seconds due to the fact the the kids movie we brought a kid to watch had been stopped because the sound was not working. and than comes in several times throughout the movie to see if she is still crying which she did not anymore once there was no more audio issue. At the end of the movie I ask to speak to the main manager, who did not care one bit nor apologize or even care to listen to what I said and only tell me to call corporate and could not give me the managers name due to policy when they all wear name tags. read more

Why on earth would you have assigned seats in a movie theater especially when they all cost the same. Well, I don't spend much time going to the movies but I don't think Regal is half bad. We usually hit up an IMAX 3D movie twice a year or so. The ticket prices for those are hefty but not high enough to keep us away. I don't think I could see a regular movie anyways since I have been spoiled with these. Also, I don't want to forget to mention that the staff members at Regal are super polite. Typically, I couldn't care less about the food but we went right before lunch yesterday so decided to just eat there. Honestly, the prices were what I expected but for that much money, they could at least cook the food correctly. It's burgers and cheese sticks. You don't have to cook them to death. Obviously, the answer is to just eat before or try your hand at smuggling. Other than that, I was completely satisfied with my movie experience. I've figured out the best seats in the theater which makes all the difference (and no I'm not going to tell you). read more

Im not sure why so many people rated this theatre low. The employees are nice, alwasy smiling and eager to help. The food is good never had a issue with it and everything looks clean. We took our son and a few friends so I asked the cashier what options he suggested. He told me about the kids pack $5.49 they get popcorn, fruit snack and a drink. Its a great deal for kids under 10 yrs old. We watched the new Avengers Movie it was awesome. The movie wasnt loud the sound was just right. We did not see it in 3D, I perfer not to it makes me dizzy sometimes. We were in theatre #14 it was clean and the seats didnt look old or damaged. $11.50 seems a but pricey to me especially for such a small theater as the one I was in. I think this may have been only the 2nd time I have spent more than $10 at a theater as I am from Columbus, OH and we have a number of "budget priced" theaters around. The other thing that confused me was their Now Seating signs which did not have our theater as open yet so we walked around for ten minutes. We came back and our theater still had not lit up, so we decided to try to see if we could find seats anyway. The theater was 3/4 full by then. If you have the signs then use them because they were using them for other movies. Oh well, the sound, screen, and seats were comfortable and I enjoyed the movie as we luckily found two empty seats in the middle. read more

Overpriced, dirty, run down and staff don't deal with problems well. More expensive tickets and concessions than theaters in Montgomery County. Theaters are not well maintained with broken lights and dirty floors. A few weeks ago they left the lights on through the previews (Thor) and the start of the movie. Took a while to find someone to turn off the lights. When they did, they restarted in the middle of the previews. Frederick needs another movie theater to provide competition and keep the businesses on the toes providing good service for the heard earned money they are charging. I have been coming to this theater since I was a kid and until now I haven't had much to complain about. Last night, I attended a movie with my husband and 7 week old son. During the movie I took my son into the women's room to change his diaper and I was unable to buckle him to the changing table because the buckle was broken off the straps. My son is still very small and not too wiggly, so I was able to keep him securely on the table while getting diaper changing supplies out of the diaper bag, but if he was older and more wiggly this could easily be a very dangerous situation. After the movie my husband took our son into the men's room to change his diaper so that we wouldn't have to use the broken changing table in the women's room and it turns out there is no changing table in the men's room, which left us with no option but for me to change him on the broken table again. You would think that in this day and age it would be standard for men's rooms to have changing tables too. And isn't it violating some kind of safety code for them not to fix the changing table? read more

Attempted to go here last night and watch Aladdin. They wanted $28 for 2 movie tickets!!!!!! And they don't even serve alcohol! I'm from Winchester Va where the tickets are $7 a pop unless 3-D then alittle more. And we serve alcohol in both of the theaters in town. Will never stop by to catch a movie in Frederick Md or at a regal and IMAX. Alamo Drafthouse and AMC theater in Winchester is 200% better. read more

I'm done with this junk theater and constant price increases. Digital IMAX is now $19.75, why would you pay that? The absolute slowest concession stand staff in the western world!!!! Give yourself an extra 30-40 minutes because this establishment has no efficiency in doing anything. This Regal location is cooked. I only come here as a last resort and it never fails to disappoint. They have a monopoly in a densely populated area and they run it like they're well aware of that. The floors are filthy and covered in the previous screening's trash which never seems to be cleaned between films. Tonight's fun surprise; the lights came on 15 minutes before the credits and stayed on. When I asked why I was told by a young girl who I assume was the projectionist "they're on an auto timer. If that happens again you can just come tell me and I'll turn them off" I'll leave the ridiculousness of that response for your consideration. I live in Frederick but I'm willing to drive 30-60 minutes to another theater to avoid this place and do frequently. It's a shame because it used to be a decent multiplex 10 years ago. Not sure what happened but the owners would do well to pay attention to the downward spiral and the numerous bad reviews. Premium theater prices for aftermarket, second run quality won't last forever. read more
