I was recommended to Regencore after being in an automobile accident and must say I'm extremely glad I was ,I was suffering from neck and low back pain ,headaches and was having trouble turning my head , especially to the left .. I had been having pain in my left hip that was interfering with my yoga practice, so I connected with my PC doc and started to look into what it could be. While waiting three months to get an MRI, the pain increased so much I could no longer do the morning hikes I loved so much with my husband. It turned out that I had a labrum tear that needed to be repaired. My Physical Therapist, Mindy Marantz, suggested I consult with Dr Paul to discuss a regenerative solution instead of having the invasive surgery this injury would require. I was so impressed by Dr Paul on so many levels. I cannot recommend this company enough! My husband had 3 surgeries on the same knee (torn ACL) and was about to get a 4th surgery, which we really didn't want to do. After a lot of research, we decided to visit Dr. Jamie Nuwer and get her opinion on doing stem cell to repair his knee. Dr. Nuwer was quite confident that stem cell procedure would greatly help rebuild the tear in his ACL and reduce the pain. So we went for it and got the shot. After about 6 months, we did see some progress with the knee pain and healing, but not as much as we hoped. So we decided to go for one more shot. After another 6 months or so, my husband's knee was almost completely pain free and he was back to his normal activities! I cannot tell you how THANKFUL we are that we went to Regencore and decided to do to the stem cell procedure. I had spoken to a representative over the phone, then met at the Center to have the introductory interview and exam. I had a list of questions, which we went through. I have NO medical training, consequently, my questions were pretty simple. Also, with my lack of medical knowledge, I was not positive that I understood the answers. I was a bit concerned when I asked "how many hip treatments have you performed" and got the answer "oh, several hundred" . . Later, I spoke with my Doctor, and he agreed to call and ask them his questions. He called 5 times, identifying himself as an MD, asking for Dr. Nuwer - he spoke to an assistant 3 times, also left 2 voicemails. No one returned his calls. If the "doctors" at this clinic are happy to answer my (simple) questions, but REFUSE to answer questions from a Board Certified DOCTOR, there is something wrong with this picture. Excellent! I've been a personal trainer for 18 years and I'm a competitive athlete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I went in for a consultation on my knee and they thoroughly explained the injury using images from my MRI and then explain the fascinating way that stem cells can help. Whether or not I chose to do the stem cell treatment I felt the consultation educated me and I'm now throughly informed. This review is based on the chiropractic treatments I received from Dr. James Grubinskas. I came in with neck pain level at 10+ and after 1 treatment I felt great. Dr. Grubinskas told me I would be sore and I should ice which I did right away. I came in for my 2nd treatment and left feeling even better. I have no disc space in my neck so it's just bone rubbing against bone. After 2 treatments, I felt like my shoulders were in their normal position instead of near my ears :) I was dealing with neckaches and headaches for years. I have not felt this great in years. I am so happy that I found Dr. Grubinskas. I consider him a miracle worker. I plan to get on a treatment plan and see him twice a week and then to maintenance. They were sitting on payments on behalf of my insurance for months and even after insisting to get them, they postponed it. Quite simply, AMAZING!!! Bay Health Center changed my life. I have referred friends, family and colleagues and will continue to do so. I first started going to Dr. Vitaly in 2012 when I was having nagging minor back pain from sitting too often at work and on airplanes. After an initial exam and an X-ray, we decided on a course of chiropractic adjustments and my pain lessened and largely disappeared. However, in 2015, another driver ran a red light and I was in a head-on collision. Initially, I thought no injury had occurred (thankfully for me and my two sons that were in the car), notwithstanding that my car was totaled. Unfortunately, a month later, I was waking up in the morning with significant pain (10 out of 10) and could barely walk. Dr. Vitaly sent me in for an MRI and it turned out I had 3 herniated disks from the accident. Having heard almost nothing but horror stories about surgery (and after consulting Dr. Nuwer, the UCLA-trained Sports Medicine doctor and Stanford Alum at BHC, who informed me that my only conventional medical options were surgery, drugs or physical therapy, which might not be as effective or safe in her experience with other patients), I chose to follow Dr. Vitaly's advice to try Non-surgical Spinal Decompression on BHC's advanced equipment. The decision was big because insurance would cover very little of the treatment (even if it ended up being effective), but I was willing to invest in potentially stopping my pain. It ended up being one of the the best investments of my life. Following a multiple-time-per-week regimen under Dr. Vitaly's advice, in the fifth week of treatment, my back pain disappeared! It was like magic and hard to believe, but the pain was gone. I finished my eight week treatment and moved to twice per month and then once per month, which I do now w/ adjustments. I feel normal and as free from pain now as before the accident and I am a loyal customer. I can't recommend the Bay Health Center team, and Dr. Vitaly in particular, highly enough.
