I walked out with very little pain, feeling at least 50% better after that first visit. What sets Jonathan apart is how he works. He explains everything as he goes, so you always understand what he's doing and why. He talks you through each movement, constantly checks in on how you're feeling, and cues you carefully through stretches and exercises so you never feel lost or pushed too hard. His calm, pleasant demeanor makes a real difference when you're dealing with that kind of pain and frustration. I now see him consistently, twice a week, and it's made a huge difference for me. He didn't just reduce my pain, he got me moving again and made me feel genuinely supported the whole way through. If you're dealing with an injury and want someone who's skilled, patient, and actually listens, I can't recommend Jonathan enough. Five stars without hesitation.

Jonathan's expertise and knowledge of the human body allowed him to take my signs and symptoms and address local and connecting muscle groups to get me back on track within just two sessions. I trust Jonathan and SMI to help me keep my body in a state of readiness to perform when I need it the most.

An Outstanding Orthopedic Surgeon…read more I want to share my experience with an exceptional orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kevin Roth, because finding a surgeon you truly trust makes such a difference. I was in an accident while riding an e-bike that resulted in a broken clavicle. I ultimately had surgery on July 27th, and I couldn't be happier with my experience and recovery. From my very first appointment, Dr. Roth took the time to sit down with me and explain everything clearly. He also spoke with me again immediately before surgery, going over what he was going to do and what I could expect during recovery. I really appreciated that time and personal attention. I've had other surgeries where the surgeon didn't speak with me beforehand, leaving me feeling uncertain about what was going to happen or what recovery would look like. Dr. Roth made sure I felt informed and comfortable every step of the way. My recovery has been going extremely well, and I recently had a follow-up appointment with May Shah, PA-C, at Dr. Roth's office. She was equally informative, professional, and kind. My incision looks great, and considering the circumstances of my accident, I truly couldn't be happier with the outcome. If you're looking for an orthopedic surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Kevin Roth. I'm very grateful to have been in his care! Dublin Office: (510) 498-2086 Palo Alto Office: (650) 853-2943

Dr. Roth's website was also incredibly helpful, with clear info for pre- and post-surgery which equips patients with knowledge and stay informed to fast track the recovery! I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Roth to any of my athlete friends. Thank you!!

I was extremely disappointed. The only positive I can say is that I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Harris within a week of being referred. But in hindsight, maybe that is because she doesn't have a lot of patients or because she's just not very good? I agree with what other reviewers have said. Her bedside manner is lacking, she lacks empathy and is not very communicative. She saw my daughter for all of 5 minutes, barely touched her foot/ankle/achilles area at all. Told her that it was an Achilles strain, not a tear, and that it would heal on its own in time. When we asked how much time, she was very vague and said "maybe a couple of weeks of not practicing or playing," but that she did need to do stretching exercises 4 times a day and then slowly get back into game speed. When we specifically asked if she could play in upcoming flag football games, she didn't say yes or no. She said it depended on how her Achilles felt and that if she did play, she should be sure to ice it afterwards. When we specifically asked if she could play in an upcoming basketball tournament, she gave the same response. Her only comment was that every time she played in a game she would be delaying the healing process, but would not give a specific time frame of how long she should sit out practices and games for, only saying my daughter would know when it was healed because she would no longer feel any pain. (Well duh!) But she never said right out that she should not play in any upcoming games. Both my daughter and I left feeling extremely frustrated, not only because it felt like the appointment was a waste of time (which it was, because that's what the urgent care doctor had basically told us), but also because we were not given a clear timeline or procedure for going forward, and frankly because it just felt like Dr. Harris really could've cared less about her injury or what happened once we left her office. If the injury persists, I will definitely be going to our pediatrician for a referral to a different sports medicine doctor.

Unfortunately, from December 5th onwards, I experienced significant complications. My left foot swelled, and the wound continued to have discharge for three months, with unabsorbed stitches appearing every month. I was very worried about my condition, but Dr. Saxena showed no concern or interest in my situation. He just simply advised me to clean my wound at home using Alcohol Pre pad every night, and told me this tendon recovery normally need to take 5-6 months. In February, I requested a referral to the Stanford Advance Wound Care, but Dr. Saxena refused to provide it. I was extremely disappointed and felt that he lacked medical ethics. Dr. Saxena seemed more interested in promoting his surgical skills and reputation than providing quality care to his patients. He frequently mentioned that he performed the most surgeries in the Bay Area and that my case was only 1% of his many operations. This dismissive attitude made me feel very unsupported during my recovery. Additionally, when I expressed an interest in learning more about Achilles tendon surgery, Dr. Saxena repeatedly directed me to his website rather than taking the time to explain the procedure to me himself. In summary, I found Dr. Saxena to be a doctor who prioritized surgery over patient care. If given the chance, I would never seek his services again. Thankfully, I was able to find a second doctor at a different wound care clinic who was able to help me with my chronic wound without needing a referral.
