These claw machines are rigged just like the ones you find in the grocery markets. They have no grip and drop immediately when it gets picked up. The prizes are also not that great. Thank goodness I bought a Groupon because if I paid full price to play claw machines here I would be so upset. Like many reviews before this one, it appears the claws do not have the full grip on the item once you have a good hold of it. We tried different sizes of items and noticed it looks loose and will drop the item as gravity and inertia does its magic. Such a scam lol. Would not recommend coming here unless you're the type to prove everyone else that experienced this wrong. I would give this place 1 star. The other star is for the fellow kind worker who was there. They were so kind to my toddler who didn't win anything after all the attempts (and our attempts too lol) but they offered my son a balloon. So in his eyes, he walked out a winner. Random somewhat fun way to spend a few dollars (especially if you find a deal). I've never been to a claw venue but this was a nice introduction to one. You can go through tokens pretty fast here but what they say is true, you're likely going to get something if you stay around long enough. (Not sure if the machines are timed or what). Only con is the prizes are kind of meh. There were not a lot of machines I'd actually want to try out. The stuffed animals were pretty cheeseball. But, again if you're just trying to do something random--it's not a horrible experience. Winning something is always a Mood booster regardless of what it is. lol read more

It been a few month before we first went and this would be the last time. First off when we went the first time we were winning plushies left and right, I know how fun and awesome. Super fun! We got a Groupon for this place so decided to check it out. You do blow through your money pretty quickly (to be expected with this kind of experience) but they guarantee a win for every $10 spent so still not a bad deal! We used our Groupon and ended up deciding to buy $10 more in tokens- my 12 year old won three prizes and gave them all to his younger sister () who was over the moon! We are from New Hampshire and don't have anything like this at home as far as I know, so was a really cool experience for them. The place is clean and well kept, and the employee was very patient explaining to us how things worked there. We'd come back for sure! read more

Claw games are our new fun thing to do as a family. My wife pays for the coin tokens, my daughters play the games, and I carry their winning prizes in a bag. Everyone has a good time and it's not as expensive as other arcades. This location in the Buena Park mall is very nearby the dinner shows and theme park. Parking is free and easy to find. The mall has great options to eat and shop. The claw store was spacious and clean. The games are fair in price and also in payouts. We liked how we can trade up our winnings for a larger stuffed animal. Overall, we will return here when doing our next Anaheim trip. read more

A sign saying "up to 6 cost trade" was posted, and yet the "manager" said that we could not get a plush that cost 4 because she refused to input the number 4 into her register. This place is so fun for everyone! Plenty of parking. So many toys. Super cute family and date activity. The toys are very cute here. The staff is super friendly and nice and they can rearrange the toys for you so it's easier to get. Some machines have guaranteed a winning every $10 played. The toys are very cute here and you can also trade up to bigger toys if you have enough to correspond with the numbers next to the big toys on the shelf behind the front desk. This place is a 100% designed scam. I've always been a huge crane person all throughout my life, so I understand the mechanism of fair and unfair crane. Here is the secret to the scam here: The dolls are the perfect size to initially get "grabbed" and lifted. Now the trick the owner/technician placed is by loosening the mechanism in the claw that enables it to REMAIN shut. What happens is that the doll gets lifted, and then falls back down 95% of the time. At a glance, it looks innocent and a stroke of bad luck. However, this is a ploy to encourage users to keep trying, because they believe they're 1 or 2 more tries away. Meanwhile, they never had a true chance. PARENTS: Do not take your child here. The atmosphere is designed to wow younger children and getting their hopes up. Honestly places like these prey on parents desires to give their children a fun time. This place is a trap for claw machine lovers. Lots of cute popular plushies like pikachu, Kirby, eevee, Sanrio characters, etc. and it's $1 for one coin/attempt and checking into yelp gives you 2 coins/attempts for free. My only note is that the plushies aren't legit. But as long as you know what you're getting into, the claws are strong and the plushies are real cute so I think it's worth it (depending on your skill / luck of course). There's a way to trade in plushies for larger more unique ones behind the counter, but we're fine with what we catch. We don't go to the Buena Park mall very often, but when we do we're definitely stopping by here! read more

My daughter loves stuffed animals and we've become obsessed with claw machines. We've tried multiple places, and by far this one is the best! Other arcades require more tokens for bigger stuffed animals and make it harder to grab. Here, every game is just 1 token and the machines actually have really cute selections of stuffed animals. I also want to highlight Elliott, who has been always super friendly and helpful every time we go. Yesterday (8/24/25) was our second time visiting when Elliott was working, and the positive experience stood out again, so I had to ask for the name. The only downside was the female staff member working right before Elliott's shift on 8/24/25, who was rude and seemed unhappy to be there. Even my 5-year-old daughter noticed and asked, "Is she mad?" Other than that, this place offers the best claw machine experience and we'll definitely keep coming back! read more

I've been here when they first opened up and they had pretty cute plushies back then but I went today and omg it definitely went down hill. The prizes are cheap looking plushies that aren't known characters and some of the machines aren't filled. Claws don't grab well at all. Glad I got a Groupon deal this time around but definitely wasn't worth it even with the deal. Also, the workers need to go around and rearrange the plushies a little better (since the claw grab sucks). Kawaii Klaws seems to be a chain as I spotted a location in La Puente as well. The machines here must be set on a hard mode, because even a grab that seems like a certain win is a loss. It takes a lot of tokens to win. Some of the plushies are cute and some are questionable, but at least there is a good variety. I know usually claw machine shops don't carry the name brands, and that's not really a problem for me. You can also trade in some of the plushies. If you are looking to win a lot based on basic skill, this may not be the place. However I do recommend it for a date night or a friend hangout if you're willing to spend money and lose a little before winning. I would personally return to give it another try and see if I have better luck. read more

From my experiences with claw machines, I always thought that they were a legal scam. This place changed my perspective on that. I had a lot of fun, I won a bunch of plushies, and the staff was helpful when I was struggling with a given machine. We wanted to try X-Fish in the area and wanted to see if there was anything fun to do in the area. Claw machines have been our latest addiction, so we Yelped and made our way to Kawaii Klaws. It was a bit smaller than expected. When we walked in, there was no one else in there besides the worker who seemed very timid and unwelcoming. He sat there on his computer as we entered. We walked around and just decided to spend $20 here, since all the prizes were kind of lame. Nothing was really name brand and a number of the machines were empty. The machines have this sign on it that says once you have played the game a certain number of times, you can basically just buy it. We spent a lot of coins on one of the games, but the workers did not seem to care. We probably spent less than 15 minutes in there due to how underwhelming it was. This time, each game was 100% win on 20th attempt. However, we tried like 30 times(counted) and didn't win what we wanted on one game. Also, clean and workers are chill. Most of the claw games have nice plushies that are actually popular so I see why they bumped up the win/loss ratio. Honestly still worth it.
