I knew I would be arriving late at night. 2 hours before arriving, I double checked my reservation and everything was fine. Upon arriving at the hotel at midnight, after driving for 14 hours, the guy at the front desk said he couldn't find the reservation. I opened the app on my phone to find that the reservation had been changed at some point in the previous 2 hours. At first they shifted the reservation forward by 1 day - I was checking in on a Thursday, and someone had shifted it to a Wednesday check-in, before canceling the reservation completely. I asked the desk staff why the reservation was cancelled. "It was cancelled." "How was the reservation modified and then cancelled? Because I never received any confirmation that changes were made." "I'll have to look into it." Followed by, "I'll have to put you in a more expensive room, that's all we have available." They never attempted to make it right, and charged the higher rate. 3 days later, when I checked out, they still couldn't tell me how the reservation was cancelled. I found out later on my own that someone who found out about my trip, called pretending to be me, and cancelled it out of spite.

We booked 2 nights after evacuating from Hurricane Milton and then having our RV break down. The first night I was itching all over and shared my suspicions with my husband. Hours later we found the door across from our room being "treated" for bed bugs and when I checked our bed again after finding bites all over my 5 year old, sure enough there was a huge bed bug crawling under the mattress. We spent $50 to get space saver bags to bag everything and after showering ourselves and bathing our dogs we left. The front desk staff was kind and apologetic before assuring we could contact the manager for the refund. After literally months of contacting them and reaching out to the manager they not only refused to contact us back but actually OVERCHARGED us nearly $400 for a bed bug ridden room. The sad thing was they obviously knew they were infested and we even met a sweet truck driver who mentioned he can't sleep cause he's itching so he decided to do laundry.......how are you going to book another 14 cars of guest knowing you're infesting their luggage, belongings, and letting their kids get eaten by bugs. The only thing that made having to pack and run from a hurricane after breaking down worse was then getting a surprise bed bug hotel to charge me $400 to eat my kids and I. Literally RUN AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. I should have known to leave after walking into a spider hanging from the ceilings over the bed, tons of bugs crawling in the sink, and a needle in the carpet all from when we walked in, but we were exhausted and desperate to rest.

A heads-up if you go on a "Senior Sunday" (ages 50+): the announcer was incredibly loud. Overall, it was nothing spectacular. Once settled in, we went down to enjoy the food at the Market that has several food stations that is sure to satisfy your tastebuds and while not one to hit the machines heavily, I did take advantage of the free play. He waited in the lobby and took the cart back so I didn't have to walk it back (his words). But in that time, he was so kind, conversation was so natural, and you could tell he was a kind soul. Employees are friendly and hard working. First night our bedroom TV wouldn't work, called front desk woman who was kind and really tried to help. She requested a service call for the morning. I figured no worry, 1st world problem lol. I mean we didn't book a beach stay for TV. I unplugged it for about 10 minutes, after unpacking etc,replugged it in and it worked. Called her and she was funny and said I'm hired and canceled service call. Each morning had YUMMY bacon for breakfast. My kid loved having a waffle every single day. The last morning there, the gal noticed we were looking for it *explained they were almost out, so didn't set it out* ... however she went and got what they had and it was enough for 1 waffle. That is excellent customer service! Room was clean and relaxing water pressure was great. Disney Jr option made my kid happy. Check-in/out was easy and friendly. I asked her to slow down because my hearing isn't great and she was talking way too fast. She , literally, rolled her eyes and continued to the end of her speech at which time I had a room key and a pink square of paper with numbers on it that I had no idea was for. Not a great first impression. Fortunately this was a one off experience and the remainder of our stay was perfect. The resort is beautiful. The pool area was great. Our room was generously sized and very well appointed. (I still recommend all nice hotels stop buying those packets for the coffee maker with powdered creamer and that horrible pink stuff for sweetener. You're better than that.) The staff, no matter who or where we bumped into them, was friendly, engaging, and helpful. Housekeeping, maintenance, lobby, bars, food service. 100% awesome. The food and drinks in the lobby bar were amazing. We ate there several times because we couldn't think of a good reason to go anywhere else and fight the crowds and traffic for lesser food.
