It is fantastic to have this old theatre remodeled and open again for business! It is one of the best places in Kihei to get out of the heat. On a whim, my friend and I stopped in to see The Nun this week. We got nacho chips and a soda and had a great time. Although the movie was unsatisfactory, the service from the lady up front was fantastic, and the roomy reclining chairs made for an nice napping spot. I will now have another reason to occasionally go to Kihei besides better dining options and the beach. read more

We just saw Mission Impossible the other night. WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE. I am sooooo happy they are right down the street from me. Clean, great sound, nice size screen, AMAZING chairs. This theater was closed down for years which was a big bummer for us locals in Kihei! We are so lucky that a nice family bought this theater and made massive improvements! We all love and need this theater! So please don't listen to the ridiculous reviews from a few tourists who have crazy high expectations or are weird themselves making nutty comments like "the staff stared into their souls" they are paranoid weirdos to even say that about some teenagers working probably their 1st job ever. Its a group of great young people working at this theater, not on the streets making trouble. So please don't read into the entitled or weirdos comments! Really great theater! Nice screens with crisp projectors and great sound. The chairs are extremely comfortable and recline. Plus, it is reserved seating! Not sure what more you could ask for, especially in a island state like Hawaii, where you're kinda supposed to be outside most of the time. Happy to see a nice theater like this in Maui. read more

What else can I say about this place but that it is a small but well oiled machine? 4 screens, but they usually feature great movies. As a parent, I always find they have family movies available. Good location in the Kukui mall...somewhat dilapidated since flagship tenant Oceans bar was closed. Have ice cream and fresh kiawe fired pizza nearby. Also coffee and Thai food. But do not bring any inside. Strict policy on no outside food. And strictly enforced. I said well oiled machine, right? Lines at box office usually aren't long. If bought online, just scan in at the kiosk once you walk in. They have a full service snack bar with many traditional items (popcorn, candy, soft drinks, nachos, hot dogs, slushee, etc). Very friendly staff. Theaters themselves are decent size with good number of seats each. Better than some of the ones at Maui mall...where seemed like only 3 rows in some plus handicap seats. Theaters are clean and comfortable. Nothing broken, nothing dirty. Just immaculate. Recliner seats are amazing. Can't say enough about those. Friendly goodbye as you exit accompanied by a smile, a thank you, and a mint. Good prices too. I'd say you save an average of 3-4 dollars per ticket compared to Maui mall. Try it. It's worth your money. Bottom line...great quality theaters, friendly service, good prices (I'm not talking about the snacks...that's another story lol). Highly recommended. read more

We had issue with a gift card we had, ran into some issues to the point the manager had to come out, then started to be rude because the line was getting held up due to that card and RUDELY said "do you have another form of payment" because this obviously isnt working with an irritated tone. By that point, we were all upset and over it. We did get help from their employees with everything we needed, items weren't really stocked up like they should. Cleanliness was decent. Theater is awesome, chairs are comfy and so easy to fall asleep in, but so happy that kihei finally has the theater back. Should offer 1$ movies during slow season or in the summer time or something for the local families due to it being so pricey now! read more

So excited to have a theatre in Kihei! Small so will only have a few movies at a time, but the screen is clear, sound was great, and of course can't forget reclining seats and moveable tray. Very clean, and the staff have been very friendly and offer you a mint as you're leaving. I know it's brand new still, but as long as they keep doing what they're doing it'll continue to be a pleasant movie-going experience. Now get one less reason to leave Kihei! read more

I just checked out the new theatre in the Kukui Mall. Better than great! Big screen; terrific sound; comfortable reclining seats with trays... Also, not freezing with AC like most theaters...And to top it all off, for hard-of-hearing people like me -- they've got devices which can be mounted on on your armchair which provide closed caption! Lovely cute cinema. The staff are very nice and friendly. The recliner chairs are so comfortable. The A/C temperature was just right for me - in other theaters I freeze. I went and saw Megalodon and had a really good time. Chris who was working the snack bar was really really good and definitely deserves all the attention and raises you can give him. The theater was very nice and the seats were very comfortable. All in all had a great time and would definitely go again and highly recommend the place. read more

Not in focus. Twice in the past three months a movie has been out of focus. When I complained the first time, they fixed it right away. This past weekend they told me it couldn't be out of focus because they had just checked the screens a week ago. Also, if you recline your seat but the person in front of you doesn't recline their seat, you won't be able to see the lower part of the screen. read more

Surprised to see big recliner chairs when I walked into the theater. Each recliner had a large swivel wood table with a drink holder. Floor was not sticky. Employees were friendly. The floor is slightly sloped; by sitting in the back nothing blocked my view. Nice theater to see a movie on a rainy day in Maui. read more

I used to live in Kihei and go to movie theater all the time. I still do go to this theater from time to time with friends that live in that area. This movie theater sucks though. Most of the theaters inside are tiny they all have small screens and very few seats. Also they don't seem to show any good movies. Also often it seems like the AC is broken which really sucks as Kihei is always super duper hot. And l feel as if the staff there is very rude And unhelpful. Last time I was there one of the staff said I was a stupid haloe which is a mean thing to call a white person here and it's like calling a black person the N-word. And many many years ago this theater had a woman visit the theater and shoved into her seat was a needle with HIV and now she is infected for life all for going to the movies. To this day some people bring boards to sit on and stuff. This is the worst theater on island and I do not recommend going there. Go to any other theater for a safer and better experience. I think Maui Mall has the best theaters. I also think 2 stars might be a bit high for this theater but I am generous. read more

Get here early because this place is hopping on the weekends! Heard it reopened awhile ago but didn't get a chance to stop in until seeing Rocketman tonight. Concessions were tasty. Seats big and comfy and the perfect middle ground of not too big, not too small theatres. Friendly and very attentive staff. Multiple managers floating around made it feel like they really cared what was going on between their staff and customers. Some other theatres on island can't say the same. Busy as can be but handled the crowds beautifully! Can't wait to catch a few more movies the next few months. read more
