Visiting Pro Arts Theater in Kihei, Maui this December was an absolute delight! We attended two fantastic shows: the hilarious "Elf Redundant" and the charming "Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz Band." Both performances were top-notch, showcasing incredible local talent and creating unforgettable holiday memories for our whole family. The theater's website made booking tickets a breeze. Everything was clearly laid out and user-friendly, which made the process stress-free from start to finish. Ticket prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the entertainment. Concessions are available and offer a nice variety of snacks and drinks to enjoy during the show. While the bathrooms are located outside, they are easily accessible and clean. Upon check-in, the friendly staff let us know whether there would be an intermission, which was really helpful for planning our evening. Overall, Pro Arts Theater provides a welcoming, intimate atmosphere and outstanding performances. We highly recommend this local gem to anyone looking for a great night out in Kihei! read more

Three stars for Edgar Allen Poe Event. Although I love - love - love that an eccentric event has landed on Maui! We have all kinds of interests here, and it's nice to see entertainment options for us lit kooks, horror geeks, fiction freaks! It may have been cooler if the presentations were less of a "speaker" and more of a third person style, wondering aloud mad thoughts to the universe vs. staring at the audience. Also, why - why - why Aloha shirts under the black coats of the actor and announcer? Ruined the darkly atmospheric vibe. Bruh. $10 black t shirts would have been nicer. The audience crowd ourtshone everything with their moody Victorian gowns, gloves, hats and smoking jackets. ProArts venue staff were cool and welcoming, as usual. Five stars for that. read more

One of Maui's hidden gems... Lots of cool shows, in the most intimate setting imaginable... highly recommend

Burlesque Olympics....sequins, boas and tassels, oh my! Absolutely fantastic show, so many talented performers, gorgeous sparkly and fluffy costumes, infectious laughter, disco music boogey, mood lighting, dual commentary, comic asides, naughtiness and so so so much fun! We laughed and whooped so much our sides hurt and I was losing my voice :) In such an intimate setting the show really came to life and you could see, and feel part of, every facet of the spectacular show and watch the 1970's reappear, along with the BO competitors antics. Sexily hilarious Boylesque fencing, plus busty rhythmic gymnastics, rugby action attraction, a swinging Swede, horsing around Pink Ponies, dirty dancing, and a beautiful drag queen shi shi stilettoing through the theatre, it was non stop Olympic action and so entertaining. If you can grab tickets, go! They will be holding other shows throughout the year and tickets sell out quickly so go online and book them now as this is a small theatre. There is an intermission and you can run faster than a drag queen around the corner to the wine bar for a quickie cocktail before settling back into your seat for round II of the Olympics and more merriment and tassels! It was my first time at this theatre and it definitely won't be my last. Best night out in Maui! Many thanks to all the performers, folks behind the scenes, the front of house and everyone involved in making such a wonderful creation . Plus my friends for coming along with me, not knowing what to expect, but falling in love with burlesque during their first show. read more

I love this little theater. It has been so fun to see it grow over the years. You can see plays, magic shows, improv, music and films. The constant rotation of performances is so surprising. It is a small venue which makes every seat in the house good. I'm proud Kihei has such a wide range of affordable offerings and we come here 3-4 times a year. read more

Pro Arts is a great venue. Small, cozy, good acoustics and has great staff. It is located in the Azeka Mall, so there is plenty of close parking. They offer high quality entertainment. Dayan Kai, John Cruz and Sheryl Renee, to name a few. Highly recommend Pro Arts for a fun evening out! All reasonably priced as well! read more

Amy Hanaiali i it's a premier singer and songwriter who provides a rich cabaret show experience with a single guitarist as an accompanist. It was an enjoyable 90 minute show with some multimedia thrown in discussion about Hawaiian culture and history. The location is very good. Felt intimate sound system is strong. I only wish there was a piano player and a drummer, but I totally enjoyed the show. read more

We went to see the magic show When I heard he has performed at the former, Warren and Annabelle's ,, I was 100% yes I bought premier seats which was written in front of the stage that were only $49. Does that come with anything? No but when you're watching Sleight of hand . I want a front row seat... Absolutely love, the guy, his wit and humor and his magic fantastic super engaging!! I was entertained from start to finish and was sad that it ended.. I would've paid for another hour. Highly recommend and when I have friends visiting, I will be sure to take them again.. fantastic read more

The small theater was small & nice, but when putting on a musical and only casting 2 good male singers and most women not able to hit the notes was distressing. They did sing very well as an ensemble. The female singers were mostly flat and from the announcement they're going to be doing "Frozen" with one of the same girls and I imagine some of the others. I love frozen, but won't be seeing this production. I would return for a play but not a musical. read more

ProArts has experienced a massive revitalization and continues to expand their offerings and presence in the community. A hidden gem (non profit) in a Kihei shopping mall showcasing local artists. We enjoyed a show w Barry Flanagan of HAPA and Anthony Pfluke. An intimate setting, almost felt like a jam. Great performance, surprise hula, felt like ohana. You could literally feel the aloha. Will definitely return. Next month we'll see White Hawaiian (Eric Gilliom) comedy show. Pro Arts theater is a small theater (less than 100 seats). It's cozy and has a family style feel. They've renovated the theater during the covid season. It's so comfortable and welcoming. Come see some shows! read more

Was traveling to Maui on a cruise ship and happened to walk by the storefront. Notice that Little Shop Of Horrors was opening that night stopped back by and was lucky to snag some tickets to the show was very happily surprised how good the show was and how great the production was. This is such a lovely little theatre! It is small and intimate but that doesn't take away from the quality of the performances. They offer a diverse array of performances included theatre, music, comedy, etc and it seems like there is always something new and exciting going on over there. My husband and I who live on Maui and my son who was visiting attended the "White Hawaiian" performance on Sunday, April 20. We all loved it so much, Eric Gilliam is someone we have followed for many years on Maui and it was heartwarming to hear his story in such a creative way that is so unique to him. Our only wish was that he had maybe sung a few songs at the end with his beautiful, heartfelt voice......but it must also have been a taxing hour and a half of active performing......so perhaps the energy just runs out. Understandable. Thank you, Eric, for sharing with us who you are and your story. It is one of the most meaningful performances I have ever attended on Maui. I hope that the performance is also fulfilling for you on many levels. We will always try and support you. read more
