    Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz performance
    Kelcy D.

Visiting Pro Arts Theater in Kihei, Maui this December was an absolute delight! We attended two fantastic shows: the hilarious "Elf Redundant" and the charming "Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz Band." Both performances were top-notch, showcasing incredible local talent and creating unforgettable holiday memories for our whole family. The theater's website made booking tickets a breeze. Everything was clearly laid out and user-friendly, which made the process stress-free from start to finish. Ticket prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the entertainment. Concessions are available and offer a nice variety of snacks and drinks to enjoy during the show. While the bathrooms are located outside, they are easily accessible and clean. Upon check-in, the friendly staff let us know whether there would be an intermission, which was really helpful for planning our evening. Overall, Pro Arts Theater provides a welcoming, intimate atmosphere and outstanding performances. We highly recommend this local gem to anyone looking for a great night out in Kihei!

Totally lucked out because we were visiting while Anthony Pluke was performing here. ( Saw him on the Mainland back in 2018!) The Playhouse is a gem--intimate setting with incredible acoustics. Reasonable pricing and looks like a super lineup of events. Warm and welcoming staff too!

    Concert with Amy Hanaiali
    Brian S.

Amy Hanaiali i it's a premier singer and songwriter who provides a rich cabaret show experience with a single guitarist as an accompanist. It was an enjoyable 90 minute show with some multimedia thrown in discussion about Hawaiian culture and history. The location is very good. Felt intimate sound system is strong. I only wish there was a piano player and a drummer, but I totally enjoyed the show.

Just got home from the opening night performance of Daddy Long Legs at the ProArts Theater in Kihei. It's a musical love story, starring Amber Seelig and Kiegan Otterson. They're very talented and they sing 30 songs. Two thumbs up!! It's playing Jan 19 to Feb 4 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Make your reservations at www.proartsmaui.org or call 808-463-6550.

The "Stevens"! Great folk rock !

A few days later, we all came back and brought more friends. Yeah, it's just that kind of place! Every time we came in, the bouncer, wait staff, and bartenders were welcoming and totally on it. The drinks were spot on (why no pics? We were too busy drinking!) and the food hit the spot. Both karaoke KJs were welcoming, organized, and talented singers. Songs are texted in using the well placed codes about the bar. Many of my friends sang on the different nights. The sound was good, the mic/s were good, and the music choices were available. The only meh part for one friend was for one song where the music was slower and in a different key, but my vocally talented friend adjusted. No worries - it just wasn't her favorite. She still rocked it! Everyone here in the crowd was cool. People were really friendly and lots of folks who didn't know each other were chatting amongst themselves and with us. The singers that showed up ran the gamut from fun loving to full of passion all the way to "is this a professional?" Everyone in the audience was appreciative and positively responsive, with lots of high fives, fist bumps, and cheers. And really, isn't that the beauty of karaoke? Sharing and appreciating each other's bravery, talent, passion, and energy? For that, this place is must definitely THE place.

The bartenders were doing the best they could on the busy night and the crowd was very understanding. On the slower and more average nights you could tell everyone was less stressed. From some of the reviews here you'd think some people have never been in a local dive before. I came mainly for the karaoke, which runs every night. Easy system for requesting a song- just send a text with your name, artist, and title. Good crowd for karaoke too, everybody applauds, a mix of good singers and people fueled by liquid courage. Again, just what you want in a karaoke dive bar. Only bar I've ever been into that had a dB SPL meter behind the bar, too. I didn't ask for the story behind it, but I bet there is one. Terrible cell phone reception here, and I kept forgetting to ask for the WiFi password. So if you're using a ride share service, plan ahead. Glad to have a favorite karaoke spot on the island now. I'll be back!

You climb up a rickety stairs to the concrete pier, timber, sliding door framed restaurant on top of a grassy knoll. The property includes offices and has seen better days. This restaurant sits on the fringe of the Wailea Blue course and sells huge 20 oz "pints" of Guinness Stout or Harp Ales on draft all day for $9.00. Cocktails are good and ample. Holey moley, this place gets absolutely packed esp on Friday night with live music depending on the band. Interesting mix of Wailea tourists and seasoned citizens getting their grove on. Some of what I thought were matured single ladies cruising. Simple laminated cocktail menu that is probably static. Food menu is basic Irish bar food with lots of fried and braised items. Huge bar that shows sports and a large patio overlooking Wailea sunsets. From a line halfway up the stairs I observed the Host seat a full restaurant within 30 minutes. The service and kitchen were really slammed, but fast and efficient. Fish and chips were good, fries soggy not stellar, Braised beef short ribs, pastas and chowder looked good and serviceable. Runners waltzed through and dropped and picked up effortlessly.
