    Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz performance
    Kelcy D.

Visiting Pro Arts Theater in Kihei, Maui this December was an absolute delight! We attended two fantastic shows: the hilarious "Elf Redundant" and the charming "Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz Band." Both performances were top-notch, showcasing incredible local talent and creating unforgettable holiday memories for our whole family. The theater's website made booking tickets a breeze. Everything was clearly laid out and user-friendly, which made the process stress-free from start to finish. Ticket prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the entertainment. Concessions are available and offer a nice variety of snacks and drinks to enjoy during the show. While the bathrooms are located outside, they are easily accessible and clean. Upon check-in, the friendly staff let us know whether there would be an intermission, which was really helpful for planning our evening. Overall, Pro Arts Theater provides a welcoming, intimate atmosphere and outstanding performances. We highly recommend this local gem to anyone looking for a great night out in Kihei!

Totally lucked out because we were visiting while Anthony Pluke was performing here. ( Saw him on the Mainland back in 2018!) The Playhouse is a gem--intimate setting with incredible acoustics. Reasonable pricing and looks like a super lineup of events. Warm and welcoming staff too!

    Concert with Amy Hanaiali
    Brian S.

Amy Hanaiali i it's a premier singer and songwriter who provides a rich cabaret show experience with a single guitarist as an accompanist. It was an enjoyable 90 minute show with some multimedia thrown in discussion about Hawaiian culture and history. The location is very good. Felt intimate sound system is strong. I only wish there was a piano player and a drummer, but I totally enjoyed the show.

I was comparing the buffet to another luau I attended in Oahu and I enjoyed this one a lot more. My favorites were the lomi lomi salmon, the fresh pineapple, and the Mac salad. The desserts could have been better--definitely Costco dessert--but overall food was good. They open the buffet as soon as you're seated and close it at 6:30 pm. Getting there early doesn't mean you will be seated first. After checking in, you are handed a card with the number of people in your party (save this for when you're seated) and at 5 pm , you are allowed to enter in an order determined by the color of your card. We were in the last group and got decent seating (it is all pretty close to the stage). Now for the performance--the dancers did great; my personal favorite were the Tahitian dances and the fire performance. The stage is small and overlooks the golf course. Though this luau is a bit more on the affordable side compared to other options, it was still a good experience.

The service was good, and the show was okay, but the food was just average. Overall, the experience…read morefelt more like a family picnic than the authentic, memorable luau I was expecting. The venue itself seemed very low budget, with ripped seats and a run-down golf course setting that didn't create the atmosphere I imagined for a luau. Even the desserts were served on paper plates and appeared to be Costco items. Alcoholic drinks were included, but they tasted very watered down. Unfortunately, I left feeling extremely disappointed. Spending $1,200 for my family of 6 on what felt like such a low-budget experience was frustrating, especially given the high expectations and cost.

Jamie Lawrence a local musician/ singer played beautifully and it was perfect music to still hear conversations at our table. We had fish tacos which could use a bit more fish, seafood chowder which was not my favorite and others enjoyed fish and chips and corned beef and cabbage. Great Irish fare! Loved the selection of draft beers including a smoky and creamy Guiness and other local microbrews. We love this place and we'll be back soon. You climb up a rickety stairs to the concrete pier, timber, sliding door framed restaurant on top of a grassy knoll. The property includes offices and has seen better days. This restaurant sits on the fringe of the Wailea Blue course and sells huge 20 oz "pints" of Guinness Stout or Harp Ales on draft all day for $9.00. Cocktails are good and ample. Holey moley, this place gets absolutely packed esp on Friday night with live music depending on the band. Interesting mix of Wailea tourists and seasoned citizens getting their grove on. Some of what I thought were matured single ladies cruising. Simple laminated cocktail menu that is probably static. Food menu is basic Irish bar food with lots of fried and braised items. Huge bar that shows sports and a large patio overlooking Wailea sunsets. From a line halfway up the stairs I observed the Host seat a full restaurant within 30 minutes. The service and kitchen were really slammed, but fast and efficient. Fish and chips were good, fries soggy not stellar, Braised beef short ribs, pastas and chowder looked good and serviceable. Runners waltzed through and dropped and picked up effortlessly.

I can see how it can be…read morereally nice (per IG) but I think we went at a bad time b/c it was pretty dead, lots of trucks were closed w/signs they'd be back in the evening so we were very limited in our food options. We went about 4ish but seems they're opened till much later and that's when it gets lively. It's a nice place to walk around though, but it's not very ADA friendly as there's lots of gravel and rocks so something to keep in mind. There's limited parking in the front but also a large parking lot in the back. Restrooms were clean.

Not like a garden you walk through with different plants and flowers. They have lots of things, though. There was a yoga session happening in the middle lawn area. They have a butterfly area, even though the butterflies were somewhere else. There is an aging tortoise, I forget his name. There are also different businesses in the buildings, like a spa and a salon. There are different small vendors with their booths and several food trucks; although, some were not open in the morning and the Thai food truck had all their items sold out on their menu already. The prices were even more pricier than the food trucks at Maui Food Trucks. One vendor had hand crafted desserts for $20/piece! I admired from afar, haha. Everything is advertised as "farm to table" maybe justifying their prices. We shared an acai bowl and it was mid. The the peanut butter was just scraped on the side of the bowl. Our typical acai bowls at least put the peanut/almond butter in the middle like any other topping so you can get an even bite with everything. But the dallop of peanut butter just on the side, it was like we ordered peanut butter on the side of our acai bowl. It was weird. I bet it's more alive at night with more food trucks open and live music. We came and saw and didn't come back. I can see how it can be great for families with toddlers running around, giving them a safe space to burn their energy. Until then, this probably won't be the top of our list.
