Game changer in the world of colonics. I have seen different practitioners over the years and always have to prepare myself for what will be a semi uncomfortable experience. Ok. I'll be the one of three in the last 8 months to do it. I'll write a review about my colonic. why not? Let me tell you something, Roco's been in business for 29 years. He's getting more business than he is getting reviews. But I am pretty sure all of the reviews would be at 4 and 5 stars if people would actually share their feedback. Roco is a warm person, easy to like and professional. He takes time to walk you through the procedure before you start, answering all your questions. He is well informed and very thoughtful about his replies. He has designed his own revolutionary equipment (currently being marketed around the world) and created a system that is as dignified as a colonic can be. It's a very private, clean, self-managed procedure. Best of all it's actually totally comfortable (physically) and pretty quick. You will feel amazing. Detoxing your body is an important part of good health. I don't think a person needs to do a lot of these in a life time but I do think, the way we eat and the toxins we ingest through air, water, medications and every day products tax the system heavily. I was very excited to get a colonic done at Rocco's place since he created the AOW, which by far is my fave device. I had previously done colonics on AOW, I try to get them monthly. Rocco has a very clean place, he takes pride in what he does and why- unlike a previous reviewer, i don't think he is forceful, but he is direct and clear and does have a lot of knowledge. He does not do coffee colonics because they aren't necessary, they really aren't and the grains ruin colonic devices over time- as my LA therapist explained. And really, yuck, coffee up your ass? Warm and purified water is more than enough. I felt shy even though I've had plenty colonics because I'm always shy with a new colon therapist. RUN AWAY! I literally left this place in tears before I even started. It was my first appointment here and I was very excited to try out this place. I read wonderful reviews and got an appointment really quickly. But from the moment I walked in, I felt overwhelmed by Rocco's forceful tone. I let him know I had received colonics before and asked basic questions as a new client wanting to understand the differences between his services and other treatments I had received that really helped me. (eg use of coffee grains). He immediately became very defensive and went on a tirade for minutes about how he single-handedly saved the entire colonic industry in Texas because of other therapists doing things they shouldn't. I tried to acknowledge his "expertise" and be as compassionate as I could (recognizing this was obviously a huge trigger for him) but also asked that he perhaps not invalidate the positive experiences I have had with other therapists. But instead of choosing to be harmonious, he came off even more arrogant and began another round of yelling at me about how everyone else in this industry are all basically crooked and deliberately trying to scare me into buying more of their services and how legitimate and superior he is. Again, I tried to diffuse his forcefulness and told him how I could see he was frustrated because he had a vested interested in making sure the industry was operating legally. And still he didn't calm down! He continued to come at me with how it was his job to educate the public and how he felt invalidated by ME for not recognizing his authority in the area. After three times trying to diffuse the situation, I finally said this isn't going to work and broke down in tears. I said that I understand he had undergone a lot with this industry but he shouldn't be taking it out on me. And that as a new customer, it's his job to build trust and handle questions with grace and not yell at me for asking them and get so defensive! This guy has a major chip on his shoulder that literally made me FLEE his space. As an energy worker and healer myself, I wouldn't recommend working with Rocco to anyone. His style is entirely too forceful and authoritarian. He showed zero regard or compassion for my feelings and was only concerned about asserting his own rightness. I've heard that colonics (colon hydrotherapy) was painful and incredibly uncomfortable so I've never thought of this as an option but I was in so much pain from chronic IBS-C I started doing more research on this. Regenesis was EXACTLY what I needed. The Angel of Water system they use is SOOOO gentle. Very sanitary!!! (For me) it was pretty much painless! The creator of this miracle machine is the person who greeted me on the phone when I called for a consult AND also greeted me when I walked in the office.
