I lived there 3 years. I had a pretty good experience my first year, then new management came in and it wasn't so good. My roommate and I had a 3 bedroom but for the first year and a half there was no 3rd roommate. We were given a smaller fridge by the first owners cuz when we moved in ours was broken. They promised that they would get us a bigger one and if we didn't get it right away then for sure it would be supplied by the time we got another roommate. We get a new roommate and we ask for the bigger fridge- they promptly tell us no and tell the new roommate that we are lying and they never promised that. I have email proof but they ignored it. And we decided not worth a fight. Then we get to the fact of me moving out. I moved out early cuz I had a two day drive. I asked them how to submit keys when I'm leaving at 5am and they don't open until 10. There isn't a drop box for us there isn't anyone there to call. So what do I do? They tell me to leave it with my roommate. I leave on Thursday before move out she turns them in Saturday before move out. I get a statement about my deposit refund and they deducted money for keys, utilities, and pet rent. 1) why the keys if they were turned in? 2) how did they get my address in a state I didn't give them? 3) why am I paying these rental charges when I paid the months rent before I left? I cal to ask and am quickly met with annoyance and rudeness from management. Mind you- I hate confrontation and was very sweet and kind simply saying I wanted to understand the charges. When I say my roommate turned in the keys, they say no, they never received them. I'm like okay then where did they go? And then when I ask how did they get the address when I didn't give it to them, they said they'd call me back. They call back to say they found the packet and I was charged for keys cuz the keys were turned in late. I was like ummmm probably not cuz my roommate turned them in Saturday BEFORE move out like I checked with her. But whatever. So then I say ok what about the rental charges, they say oh everyone has that but you're not charged for it. It's a misprint, your charged for just the keys. I ask to clarify that I'm being charged nearly $100 for just keys not rental also cuz the statement says keys cost $12 and the manager YELLS at me and says that $100 is how much keys cost. Woah. Ok I never raised my voice. All I asked for was clarification. Way to be professional. He then hung up after I said oh ok just clarifying. I didn't even get to finish saying thank you (cuz I'm polite) before he slammed the phone down. Needless to say, you will have a mediocre experience while living there but once you leave they don't treat you well and are rude and disrespectful. I wouldn't wish this life on anyone. If you're into the party and loud scene then this is the place for you. This complex is filled with people who are inconsiderate of other people and blast their music all the time. Walls are so thin, you can hear your neighbors close their doors or my personal favorite, the monologue coming from their TV or the lyrics to their music. If you live facing the pool, people are there late nights blasting their music as well. Calling the courtesy patrol hardly ever helps and letting the office know doesn't help, either. When I first moved in, the floors were so dirty even though they say they had people clean them. It probably took me mopping 3-4 times to get the black off of the floor. We didn't have the sectional piece like they say comes with the apartment from the model, we got some 3 seater couch. However, they replaced the couch with the sectional within the first hour of moving in. The shuttle, although convenient, it's small. It would be in the Regents (Sol's) best interest to get a bigger bus (like the Cottages) and not two small ones; it just isn't logical to have such small busses when so many people live here and utilize the shuttle system. The pool is nice, for the most part. The jacuzzi's are never actually warm. The workout rooms look nice until you actually go in and use the machines. They're very much out of date, some machines have things that are broken (ex: wires or the smith machine is lopsided and wiggles). It took forever for the any of gates to work. I think this place draws people in who are just moving out of the dorms and not so much the people who are actually wanting to get their lives together. Honestly, avoid renting at this place. The quality of the complex doesn't match up to what they are charging for rent. You can find a nicer place for a better price. read more

Very unprofessional management. We renewed our contracts but we really regret it because they lied to us about the promotion. We were told that the promotion offered to us would be the best and there wouldn't be a better deal later. However after a few weeks they advertised a far better promotion and when we asked to match it for us they just ignored us. Other than that they trick the residents, they say everything is included in the price but we noticed the electricity bill is only covered up to $35 which in Arizona with AC working 24/7 you will be charged much more than that. They don't tell you that when you are signing the contract. That's not fair! They charge us for "pest control" each month but there are a lot of roaches every where specially by the pool and the grills. The safety of here is crazy too the gates have been broken since I moved here 2 years ago and anybody can enter the building. Every weekend, bunch of noisy and rough strangers show up by the pool and nobody knows them... There were a couple of really bad fights and once the couches by the volleyball court were burnt in the fire pit but the management couldn't track them because the cameras don't work... The gym equipment are very old and broken. they never added or fixed anything. But that is included in the amenities. The fridge in 4x4 bedrooms is very small for 4 people and even though we share the food we buy, it's still difficult for us to fit our stuff in the fridge. The AC for Master bedrooms in 4x4 apartments are really weak because the air goes to the classic bedroom first and then gets to the master bedroom and even though it is constantly on it's not even cool in the bedroom and I have to leave the door open to get some of the cold air from the living room. Never get a apartment on the fourth floor because the water pressure is really low and the roofed parking spots in the garage are very limited and by the time you come back home all the roofed spots are taken and you have to park on the ramp which has no roof. Never get an apartment with pool view unless you don't mind loud music throughout the week. You can find better apartment with better price... I will be looking for a sublease to run away from here ASAP!!! read more

Do not move here! Not even three days into living here, my car (and my BF) got robbed! Our cars (along with 22 others) got broken Into! The apt complex did nothing so we filed a police report. The police said they Will try to find the Thieves but because there are no cameras in the complex it's going to be very hard!!! No security guards either! Not a safe place to live! Only two days after, my BF's car got stolen and my windows were broken (looks like they tried to steal mine but couldn't since mine is brand new). Not even a week into this place and I want out! It's so loud at night between people riding there skate boards and F***ing College kids drunk and yelling! It's not like we are in the ghetto!! Get some damn cameras or security and a 11pm noise violation rule!! I shouldn't be woken up at 1AM! Now I must add I'll be ending my lease early and fighting it in court if I have to. I don't feel safe here at all!! There is a pit bull that runs loose and almost attacked me!!!! I had to quickly close the gate and couldn't go to my apt until he ran off. After about 6 months of living at regents the quality has gone down hill. A lot of things in the apartment complex are broke. For instance, the gates are broken so in order to get in a rock has to keep the gates open, of course that means everyone can get in. The shuttle is broken down often, and gym equipment has been out of order for months... things in our apartment were broke and were never properly fixed i.e. Our dishwasher. I thought about staying here next year because the staff has been great, but after failing to accommodate (move me to a apartment with carpet rather than wood flooring) and after raising their prices I found a place for a hundred dollars less down the street that will accommodate thank you regents for the stay but you need to get back to what you were. Update: they replaced our washer, like I previously said the people that work here truly do try there best to help. read more

Regents on University (formally known as Block 1949, a better name I feel), is a furnished apartment for students about 2 miles from the ASU Tempe campus. It includes all utilities in the monthly rent cost except for electricity, which is billed separately and split between roommates. I am a graduate student and have lived at Regents for about 5 months starting in Aug 2014. I am in a regular 2 bedroom/2bathroom apartment. So, first off, I feel they take the Roommate Matching paper work and throw it in the trash. My roommate is the opposite of everything that I asked for. I wanted someone over 26 yrs old, but was willing to settle for 22-25, out of undergrad usually. Nope, mine is 20. I wanted someone who is clean. Mine leaves splattered oil all over the stove top, "grows clothes" on the lint trap, and throws away full containers of spoiled milk in the trash instead of dumping it. I wanted a serious student. Mine admitted to failing a class because noon was "too early of a deadline". I wanted someone that ate healthy and took care of themselves. Mine never cooks and only keeps Sunny Delight and Coco Puffs in the house. One of the most annoying things about Regents is the lack of follow through. Pretty much every time they say they will do something, it either doesn't happen or it is much later than they post. For example, I requested someone come and fix the low battery beeping smoke detector in my roommate's room, who was out of state for the Holidays. I come home 4 days later, and no one had come by. I would go in there myself if I could. I've also called 3 times about the people upstairs where it regularly sounded like things were crashing and they were hitting the walls. By the time someone went by 3 hours later, they called back and said they didn't hear anything. There should be no reason why my fan and walls are shaking by normal activity. This also relates to quiet hours. I received a text stating that there would be strictly enforced quiet hours starting at 9PM from Jan 19th to the 23rd. What happened Monday night? A party until about 11:30PM. Then Wed it ended at 11PM. Fri night, some kid screaming in the courtyard at 4:30AM. There was also a time in December when the pool was closed until further notice and that really didn't stop anyone. It is true it isn't their fault a lot of inconsiderate immature spoiled brat kids live here, but if they say they are going to enforce a rule, they need to. I suppose you get what you pay for, since the internet is exceedingly slow at random intervals. It really wasn't that way when I moved in, so I'm not sure what happened. For a building that is supposedly for "students", this is a regular frustration when it comes to homework. I also had issues with rent payment. I was told they would no longer do paper money orders and would only accept electronic money orders. I called my bank and they didn't know what I was talking about. The office said I had to go to someone on a list like CheckSmart to get one. They would use the pin number I give them to do the electronic money order. I went there and the lady behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about. Of course, the office didn't know what to say. Now, there are some, but very few, redeeming qualities. First, the close proximity to campus makes it easy to ride my bike to class. Second, the apartment itself is fairly nice looking, mostly from the counter tops in the bathroom and kitchen and faux wood flooring. The biggest sell for me though was the amount of personal space relative to shared space. I've seen apartments in the area that had massive kitchens and living rooms, but rooms in which you could barely walk around the bed and just a slide door closet. Personally, I never spend time in the living room, so a good size room, a private bathroom and a walk in closet were very attractive to me. This is probably the best aspect about Regents. read more

Great apartment. After reading the reviews, they must have upgraded before I moved in because I've never had a problem with noise, the staff is nothing but friendly and professional, and the new shuttle system is awesome. Not to mention the amenities are sweet (tanning, volleyball courts, nice pool, gym, study room, coffee lounge, game room, internet, cable, the whole shabang). Idk what people are talking about because the curfew for the pool is midnight. I never hear any loud music, although I do live on the third floor which I would recommend anyway because it's close to the study rooms. I think the issue with the shuttle some people have mentioned had to do with when I first moved in in September. At the beginning of the semester, they had to redo the shuttle system. Admittedly it was unreliable at times, but they hired new shuttle staff who are kind and always on time and they redid the shuttle schedule. Since then I've never had trouble getting to my class on time and have never had the shuttle show up late. Also, if you ride the shuttle get to know the one shuttle driver who will play your music if you sit in the front seat. He's awesome. Anywayy .... The furniture that comes with the apartment is really nice, and my room is spacious and looks brand new. Plus it's close to Tempe Marketplace and the PHX Rock Gym and right across the street from Geno's pizza, and I like all of that, especially pizza, so yeah. Someone said that all of the rooms have wood floors, but that's not true. My room was carpet, so if you have a preference make sure to tell them. read more

I've had a really great experience living at Regents on University! I think a lot of the bumps in the road came from a transition in management- everything seems to be smooth sailing now. I like that I have a MASSIVE closet in a two bedroom and that the furnishings still allow me to express my own style. They take your information and tell you they will get back to you, then bait and switch on the price. Then they send you to collections for an application fee even though you have never applied and told them you weren't going to. We are taking them to small claims court - they should the apartments to a new company and the old company is from Texas. We are still suing them in Arizona, they will report a debt you don't owe on your credit report and send it to collections. The collection agency said this is their standard operating procedure. This is the worst apartment complex I have lived at. The appliances break often and it takes awhile for someone to come and fix them. There is trash and dog poop IN THE HALLWAYS, and loud parties almost every night. If that is not bad enough for you the hallways and front entrances to the apartment smells like dog pee and there is cigarette buds almost everywhere you look. The front office staff is filled with the most rude and unreliable people. They promise promotions and never follow through with them. The walls are thin that one could hear everything that is going on with the neighbors. The complex has many occupants who are also rude and inconsiderate of the others that live there. During my time here I have had to call the police 5x. 3/5 times that I have called has been about fights starting in the parking lot early in the mornings on weekdays about 2:00am-4:30am. The shuttle to get to school is either too crowded or breaks down often. The entrance gates are broken or the FOB doesn't work. The gym equipment is dirty and broken. There is trash laying around the dumpsters. 10/10 would not recommend living here unless you want to live in a place where management has no idea what is happening half of the time or is rude to you the other half or if you like hallways filled with trash that smell like dog feces/urine or if you like loud partying during the weekdays. Do NOT live at this apartment. My boyfriend lives here and his apartment was recently broken into. The suspect was able to just kick the door right off the hinges and came in holding his roommates at gunpoint and security was nowhere to be found. The panic buttons in the rooms don't work so that was no help, and also the cops told us that their camera systems don't even work so the cops couldn't even look through those and figure out who the suspect was. This place is so unsafe and I would never tell anyone they should live here. read more

This place is literally the worst place I have ever rented from so far. Unprofessional management is by far the biggest problem here. They lie, lie, LIE! Be sure to read all the reviews, what people are saying is true. I was promised a pro-rated month and a $500 gift card the day I moved in, for signing a lease and moving in the middle of the month. I paid a full months rent to move in on the "14th" of Aug, and Sept 1st, another $725 due. Nothing was prorated and when I called the office, they said the leasing agent should have told me that. Well also, several weeks later, I still have not received the $500 Visa gift card! I budgeted all of my expenses around having a prorated month and also getting that gift card to help out, but instead I'm stressing about money and barely eating to survive now. This place is CARNY!! The amenitities are terrible! The front gate and absolutely none of the blue tooth locks work so anyone can get in at anytime. I always see crackheads strolling through. I also think a lot of students from the complex's surrounding come to use the Shuttle here to campus because it's always over filled and packed to where it really feels unsafe. They advertise unlimited utilities, then you get an email letting you know you can be charged if going over your monthly amount of utilities prepaid for. They charge a NON- Refundable $500 pet fee to have a pet, and all they offer is a TINY, 20 square foot "DOG PARK" is what they call it, but it's more like a designated corner with wood chips instead of grass. It really stinks. The place was not clean upon move in and a lot of the fixtures needed replacement. I can go on and on but I don't have the time to sit here any longer. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to stay here though! read more

I lived in a studio here for about a year. It's a really nice complex with a convenient location. Not very loud or dirty. It's all wood flooring and no carpet so it's easy to clean up. I really like being able to keep my car in a garage parking area so it doesn't overheat in the summer. I haven't really had any bug problems or anything. There's also free food sometimes!! I just had a few minor problems with the apartment overall. First, the shower water is pretty weak. Second, the kitchen sink is too small and gets clogged easily. The wifi is decent but unreliable and disconnects you from time to time. The RU bus is never on time so I would just bike or drive. Sometimes I would wait for almost an hour for it to arrive, and it's made me late to class more than a couple times. I wish I could stay longer but it's so freaking expensive so I'm moving somewhere cheaper but farther away. If you have the money I would recommend. read more

They charge you an additional fee depending on which level of the apartments you live at and for a 300-400 SQR FT STUDIO they CHARGE YOU THE SAME PRICE YOU WOULD PAY FOR A 2 OR 3 BEDROOM HOUSE IN NORTH SCOTTSDALE! YES, THAT IS HOW EXPENSIVE THIS PLACE IS WITH POOR HOUSING! The place is so filthy. Management does not help at all with any of your concerns. There's still loud parties and people "smoking" stuff here. The police come all the time due to vandalism, theft, fights, and illegal activities happening here. There's trash and dog poop and pee and vomit everywhere still! This apartment complex has had so many investors coming in and out of your apartment its ridiculous! They couldn't afford to keep up the online residency where you pay your bills online so they cancelled it earlier than the timeframe they gave us, so people could not remove their private and personal banking accounts. They couldn't afford the security company and they have been gone for a long time. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED if they last another 2 yrs as "REGENTS" before they CHANGE OWNERSHIP AGAIN! (UPDATE:THEY CHANGED OWNERSHIP YET *AGAIN!*) And don't forget! There has been DRIVE BY SHOOTINGS, DRUNK DRIVER HIT AND RUNS before they change their name to Regents. This place fricken sucks. Do not recommend anyone to live here at all. Their rooms are disgustingly dirty. All they care about is making sure they have someone clean the outside floors so it looks like they are a clean place. My room I have right now has bullet holes through the window and and the blind is so old and rusty it broke off when I barely touched it. They always have things broken too. They do not care about keeping anything clean or updating the insides. I am not happy. Would not even give them a star. They don't even deserve the stars they have. This apartment complex is awful. I moved into a four bed/four bath fully furnished apartment in August & our place was so disgustingly dirty. We told management it looked like it had never been cleaned and they tried to argue with me saying all there places get cleaned twice. We had to have housekeeping come and re-clean our entire apartment. I have a courtyard view and it is always so noisy and loud and the neighbors all surrounding us are loud. A word of advice: DO NOT CONSIDER LIVING HERE!!! First of all, when going on a tour of Regents on University the staff makes sure that they tend to your needs and act as if they care.  They show you an apartment that is in pristine condition away from the rest of the residents so you won't know how disgusting the property actually is.  Once you move in you will realize that the property is not spick and span like they pretend it is on the tour.  The trash chutes constantly have trash over flowing into the hallways and the parking garage reeks of trash since it rarely gets emptied out.  There is dog poop in the hallways at all times and that is no exaggeration (photographs attached below, the same ones I showed to the regional manager, Kimberly who was appalled by them but did not help to resolve the issue).  If you are bothered by it, do not waste your time informing the staff that "cares about your experience" because they truly don't.  They will tell you that it is your job as a resident to discipline other residents who let their dogs poop in the middle of the hallway OR they will tell you that they are ordering new Pooper Scoopers (which they had been "ordering" my entire time living here, for 10 months).  In addition, they give you a HUGE clicker to open the parking garage gate and the rest of the doors because Regents is a "secured" facility.  Again, do not be fooled!  The parking garage did not work from the time I signed my lease in April of 2015, until moving out in May 2016 and I am almost positive it still doesn't work. And just like the dog poop in the hallways, do not waste your time telling them that you would like it fixed (since random people come in and tend to park in your RESERVED spot) because they will tell you that they are working hard to find someone to replace the part, but it's hard to find a contractor to do that.  Lastly, if you have any intention of getting anything done while living here, do NOT request a pool view.  Better yet specify that you do not want one on your lease preference sheet, but you may end up with one just like I did.  They do not read these sheets or the roommate matching sheets at all so don't waste your time filling one out.  Regents is so desperate to make their facility a "party scene" by hosting pool parties and DJ battles at the pool, but it's just embarrassing and disruptive to the other residents who want no part of that. Truly, if you are looking for a cool place to live and party save a few extra dollars a month and live at The District instead.  The only positive thing I have to say about Regents on University are the men who work in the Maintenance Department.  These guys are awesome and are the ONLY ones who genuinely care about your experience at Regents and try their hardest to make sure it is enjoyable.   DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU ON THE TOUR, IT'S A TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!! read more

Do not move in here. People are out late at the pool playing loud music. Everyone smokes openly the hallways and rooms and management does nothing about it, even though they claim to be "smoke free". The model is nice, but the actual rooms are a mess. They barely clean them before you move in. I had to get parts of my oven, fridge, dryer, and air filters replaced within days of moving in. The "shuttle" is always late and cram-packed. It has made me late for class on multiple occasions. There is no roommate matching, as advertised. The study room with "free printing" had broken printers for at least a month. Rent is extremely overpriced. I've lived here for about 2 months and am counting down the days until my lease is up and I can move out. read more

I've recommended Regents on University to several of my friends, 6 of them moved in and 4 have renewed. Electric, parking and internet is all included. You literally pay your rent and not worry about dealing with the internet or electric companies. Maintenance staff is awesome. The front office are helpful. If you prefer quietness most of the time, don't live near the pool. The pool view rooms is definitely not for quiet people. Chose either a volleyball court view or side view. Don't live on the first floor either, foot traffic is annoying. I lived on the fourth floor facing the volleyball court, it was great. The new management CWS has really taken this place forward since the previous owners. They consistently retouch the place. Apparently this year they have an online portal before move in, which lets you get in touch with other future residents. Potentially find a good fit. The gym is ok, nothing crazy but it does the job. The pool is pretty nice and well maintained, it just way too much chlorine. Overall considering thats its the lower side of prices around campus, I'd give it a 9/10. read more

It costs $199 to apply for an apartment. A typical application fee is in the area of $25 - 50. That fee is waived only if you decide to live there. Pretty steep if you change your mind because the debt collector, National Credit Systems, will step in. And they are aggressive. Where do I even begin.. I moved in on August 14, had to pay the full $775, which doesn't make sense I was only there for 2 weeks out of that month. Next, immediately the door to our microwave was broken and had to be replaced we could not open it. The air conditioner on both sides of the apartments leaked this nasty green water onto the floor of our apartment leaving behind mold. "fixed" 5 times but the issue still continued to occur and they finally just stopped answering our maintenance requests. Everyone smokes weed in and out of their apartments therefore making the entire facility smell like weed, no one would do anything about it, especially for being a smoke free building. The gates were always broken, therefore there was absolutely no safety about who came in and who came out of the complex. I know a ton of people's cars were stolen and broken into. The hardwood floors are DISGUSTING. When I moved in, the floors turned our feet pitch black. They were filthy. It took two boxes of swifter wet wipes to get the floor to not turn our feet 'too' black. The hallways always have throw up and piss and dirty garbage in them for weeks on end. They are always conveniently cleaning the hallways at the ass crack of dawn. When my roommates started threatening me and harassing me inside the apartment and I needed out, they REFUSED to let me out of my lease. They said since I did not have proof that they were harassing me and threatening me, that I would have to stay on the lease and if I quit paying they would send me to collections, as if they don't have a mile long waiting list of people waiting to move into there. So concerned about my safety, I moved out and had to find a new place and take a loan out to pay for the remaining months I had left on my lease and they STILL FUCKING SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS. This place is a piece of shit and the bitch at the management office who looks like a 15 year old boy, is worthless and completely rude and inconsiderate. I was a college student who lives 1500 miles away from home living on the streets for 3 weeks until I could find a new apartment who had openings on such short notice. So I know live in the ghetto because that is all I could afford, and live 38 minutes away from campus and had to take a semester off, all because this apartment complex fucked me and was not willing to help me out. Although we were confronted with a friendly welcome, free breakfast, and COLD beverages, the "Photo-shoot" of my college student's arrival did end up being a close encounter of the worse kind! My ASU student's apartment had not been thoroughly inspected when the previous renters moved out! Don't get me wrong. There was new paint, new carpet (in all four bedrooms), and new beds (but in only three rooms). However, the furniture was turned upside down, the kitchen and living room had not been cleaned, and the common area flooring was gross, sticky, wet, and thrashed. It needed to be replaced - IMMEDIATELY! All it took was a trip downstairs to see the manager of the new RU Apartments. He was most concerned about the issues and came upstairs to assess the problems. Once he entered and saw the dilemma, he apologized for the inconvenience, called a crew to clean and straighten the common areas, and then arranged immediate action for a floor replacement. In the meantime, a generous gift card was presented to buy an area rug until the floor could be replaced. It was replaced in two days! In addition, the fourth new bed was delivered before the end of the week! "Move-in Day" could have been a disaster, but the NEW ownership of the Regents on University has taken a 360 turn for stellar management! Thanks Mr. Fagan! We are highly satisfied with your new management style and cannot wait to experience the great renovations and planned events for our ASU student. read more

They are a scam, according to the office when you sign a lease they have a list as long as your leg of people waiting to take over your lease and they will abide by the Arizona law and help you find a renter of you have to leave your lease early. LIE! They not only will not help you with that magical list but will in fact break the law and take any renter you have found into their own lease telling them how burdensome the process of subleasing is and offering them special discounts to screw over their current tenant. Be really careful before move out. They did not provide a room inspection for me and now, 3 months later, they are charging me on stuff that is not true like damages and cleaning. Horribe horrible palce - do not move here under any circumstances. When I moved in the apartment was filthy dirty and old worn down and I made a lng, long list of issues. When I moved out I heard nothing from Regents and then suddenly two months later I get a bill from Regents for $500 worth of damage. When I protest they finally send me some photos of a completely different apartment with guys sitting at the table and an utter mess - yet there were no guys renting or even staying at my apartment and the date on the photos was 61 days after I had actually moved out. So they took photos of a different apartment, sent them to me and tried to charge me $500 despite me having a long list of issues signed off when I moved in. These people are crooks, dishonest and downright unprofessional. Never in a thousand years rent rom these people. read more

During the tour of the apartment complex I feel in love with this apartment. But everything changed once my boyfriend and I moved in. The roommate matching is shit because we gotten stuck with a roommate we weren't compatible with. He was disgustingly dirty and had no respect for my boyfriend and I. The bus is shit. Two small ass busses but only one runs mainly. Either the other one breaks down or they don't use it at all. So if you plan on getting getting to class on time leave an hour early because the bus schedule is shit. Another problem is these paper thin walls. You can hear every foot step and conversation your neighbors upstairs and next you have. My boyfriend and I always have to hit the wall it a broom stick because the neighbors have sex very loudly and it's annoying. We complained to the front office but nothing has been done. There's always a mess in the hallways from dog shit, to what looks like piss from a person. Constant smell of weed and cigarettes will make anyone gag. They say utilities are included which is bullshit. We're charged for electricity, trash, maintenance, and parking. The wifi sucks ass and they don't allow you to get your own wifi. Cell phone service sucks too. You literally have to walk outside to make a phone call which is inconvenient. The gym is shit. Equipment is always broken. 2 out of 6 treadmills work. And that's about it. The weight room sucks too. Me and my boyfriend ended up getting a gym membership at planet fitness. Some employees don't do they're job correctly. My boyfriend once had a packaged delievered from amazon. So we went to the front office to retrieve it but the guy was like (while eating popcorn) "oh it's not here so it's probably the carriers fault." He barely even looked for it. So my boyfriend called amazon and they said the carrier dropped it off at the front office. So we went back but the guy was like it's not here. We were pissed and went back the next day to talk to someone else. When we went back we talked to this one girl name Dore and we told her what happened. She went in the back to go look and then the same guy was in the desk in front of us and turn his chair around and told us (while eating popcorn AGAIN) "I told you if we don't have it then it's the carrier fault" and as soon as he said that Dore returned front the back with out package. Some people have loud parties that last until 3 in the morning. So if you would like to live somewhere with a shit bus schedule, a place where you can hear your neighbors having sex and every footstep they make, dirty hallways and a shit management then Regents is the place for you. I really wish there was a "DO NOT MOVE IN HERE" button. The new management is terrible. They've spent a ton of their time and resources painting the place again (it looks the same to me) and getting new furniture for the community rooms, HOWEVER, they are not much help with anything else. When we signed our lease, we were promised overnight security, which since has been terminated. People throw parties every night by the fireplace and pool and there is no longer anyone to keep the noise down. I can't even tell you how many nights I've tossed and turned to random "WOOOOO"s, loud (and quite frankly, bad) music, and people chanting things I don't even understand around the fireplace. The office is no help, in fact, they've directed their after hours staff to tell us to just call the police. So they are basically using the police force as their promised security?? NOT OKAY. And the police must be tired of getting calls because they do not respond much any more and, if they do, it's like three hours after you've called. There have been many a night where I don't get to sleep until 4am with the help of ZzzQuil or valerian root, and I wake up for work at 5:30am. I'm really just tired of having to deal with all of this and I am counting the days until I get to move out. read more

If I could give this apartment ZERO stars I would. I signed a lease here in August of 2014, so I am not sure how it was run before they switched management. But to say the least, this has been one of the worst living experiences I have ever had. There is no order. With the absence of security, people run wild, partying all night. The office staff is of course polite when you complain, but they are only telling you what you want to hear to get you out of their hair. The after service line tells you to call the police for a noise complaint, but so far the police have never helped. I can not wait to be out of this place. It is an absolute disaster here. read more

This place all around sucks. Even from the first day I signed the lease and they told me I could not move in early because they are inspecting and cleaning the rooms. I ended up moving into a room that was still dirty, so much for cleaning and inspecting. The prices go up every year but no advancements or changes in the room or the complex are made. My apartment has had roaches in it since the day I moved in and I've complained several times and the answer I get was "Buildings age and sometimes those things happen". Why in the world I am paying 722.79 to live with roaches and to pay an apartment complex that does not care if I have to live with it or the people that live here after me have to live with it? The sink was broken for 2 months before they did anything about it. The air conditioning has been leaking water even after they came to "fix" it. The entire place looks crappy, I remember seeing the same throw up on a wall in the hallway for 3 weeks. The maintenance here is terrible, the prices are terrible and even the barbershop connected to the apartment sucks. Theres parking all around the building and it is pretty much a trap for people to get their cars towed. Why make so much parking just to tow people when they use it? My car got stomped on and the amount of damage it caused will cost me $1000 to pay for it. I asked them if I could see the video from the camera in the parking structure they told me no and then preceded to tell me that they have been having a problem with someone vandalizing cars in the parking structure. It does not seem like they did anything about it because my roommates car got messed up and someone else care was broken into. For the amount of money I pay to live here with my roommates we could have been living lavish in a Scottsdale house but instead we live at the Regents on University. read more

Honestly these SO called "luxury apartments" are definitely not. When my roommates and I moved in our apartment was a disaster. There were so many things wrong like stains on the carpets, banged up cabinets, destroyed kitchen appliances, you name it. And you have to pay extra for a "view" to live on the fourth floor.... I'm sorry but a view of the trashcans at the apartments next door is not a view.... oh yea and that high security they talk about it nonexistent. "We have patrol" "we have gates" BULLSHIT. Not once have I seen patrol and yea there's gates but they've been broken longer than they have been working. Same goes for the security gates to the actual complex, half the time those are broken too so basically anyone and everyone can get it. Trust me I'm not exaggerating, one of my roommates and plenty of other people's car windows got SHOT out, yea with a gun, and the leasing offices response was "I'm sorry but that's not our fault, there's nothing we can do about it" NOTHING YOU CAN DO? HOW ABOUT FIX YOUR SECURITY ISSUES BEFORE PEOPLE MOVE IN. Honestly, they're just here to take your money, (and it ain't cheap) so I would HIGHLY advise you to look into somewhere better. read more

This is the most disgusting apartment complex I have ever been in. PLEASE PLEASE do not waste your money. Everything in the apartment is damaged and/or filthy dirty. They do not clean up the apartments after moveout and just let the new people move in. I have so many things in my apartment that need fixed and cleaned. Do your research and do not move into these apartments. BTW, you will never get your gift cards as promised either. They are so nice until you sign a contract, and then beware. Management is very unprofessional. Kids working the desks are very inappropriate in their actions as well. Don't say I didn't warn you :) It's just disgusting there. They will show you a model home, and trust me, the apartment you will move into is nothing nothing nothing like the model. read more
