We used to love Super Taqueria. But now it seems they don't care about their quality or their customers. The past five visits getting takeout have been challenging. We have to try to figure out which burrito is ours because they refuse to label them, and I've gotten the wrong order four out of five times. The meat was overcooked and the burritos dry. This is my go to Mexican food spot in town. Since my 10 year old son does not prefer Mexican food, I do not eat here as often as I'd like. We finally arrived here for a Saturday dinner recently. The Mexican restaurant is located in a nice older plaza off Monterey road in Morgan Hill. There is accessible parking in the medium size parking lot. Super Taqueria is bright and spacious with a lot of booths and tables to go around for dine in. There is a large informative menu board above the cashier and food counter area. The service is friendly and accommodating. We ordered a super burrito with asada meat and a super taco with carnitas meat and no beans. The asada in my burrito was tender and flavorful. I usually do not eat my burritos with no beans but since they charge extra with no beans, I decided to give the beans in my burrito a try. I enjoyed the combination of everything. It definitely added extra flavor and great texture. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Super Taqueria. The food is high quality and of big proportions. I appreciate the condiments bar. Came in for a late dinner and I was very disappointed. When did super Taqueria begin its decline in food quality and customer service. Ordered a flour quesadilla only cheese and asked for it to be made crispy. It was a waste of money. The tortilla was so oily that even when I blotted it with a paper towel it was still very oily. Took a couple of bites and had to take it back. Asked if they could make another one because it was too oily to eat and they replied that, its the way they come out when you ask for them crispy. Crispy and oily are two completely different things, how can they get it so wrong??? Quesadilla gone to waste. I remember coming here and having the best crispy quesadillas in the past but they have really declined in the quality of their food compared to before. Ok enough about the quesadilla, moving on to the flautas I ordered. They were just ok. They were bland and flavorless. A bit of salt would have helped to add some flavor. This afternoon around 3:40 I went in with my family after a long day of doctors appointments. We ordered our food and sat down as normal,once we got the food I realized the rice wasn't even cooked. It was hard rice mixed with old rice. My sister was halfway through the burrito when she started noticing the not cooked rice. Instead of giving me half the refund for the burrito she said no because it was already bitten. Only got 2/3 items refunded but she also had an attitude telling coworkers "she didn't like the rice" instead of saying it wasn't cooked correctly, they also continued to serve the uncooked rice. read more

I have not been here in a while, but I always ordered the same thing: two flower quesadillas with cheese and avocado only. I'm not sure when they started doing this but this last time they charged me 250 per quesadilla to add avocado. And this is what I got. Totally unacceptable. Like what did I actually pay for? They used to fill up my quesadilla with avocado when I used to order these and definitely did not charge me that much. I'm all for an additional charge if it's warranted, but make it worth it. It's on Monterey Rd, not St. Clean place, well organized from outside marked parking to staff uniforms inside. Very efficient looking. The salsas were good. But when we got our super burritos, one asada and one carnitas, we were disappointed - and we were starving! Both burritos were super wet and felt like large heavy microwaved burritos. The ingredients looked decent, and there was avocado inside. I didn't see any rice in the burritos, which is fine, but I was spitting out so many pieces of gristle/fat. Visited them today and ordered 3 orders of beef Flautas and it seem like they are changing Vender again and its not very good comparing to the previous Flautas. Overall, a good place to go to. Solid B in most areas but I noticed something that bothered me. If you get takeout, they charge you for sauce containers. Her response was because bean and rice burritos are more expensive than with Bean, rice and cheese burrito. They have lots of choices of meet's; Chile Verde, Carnitas, carne Asada, pork stomach, beef cheeks, chicken and others I went with my go to, El Pastor and a fountain drink. This is my favorite Mexican joint in town. I've been going to Super Taqueria for years- at many locations. Always solid and hit the spot whenever I am craving tacos. I came into this Super Taqueria twice with friends of mine over the past week. Ordered the asada super burrito both times, and they were delicious as I remember. Unfortunately, the service has not improved, and is in fact become much worse than I experienced with this ST in the past. On my latest visit last night, the cashier ignored us, and flat out left the register for a good 10-15 minutes with no explanation at all. Eventually we were assisted by another lady who didn't seem very happy to take our orders at all. In fact, her attitude was downright rude. The food was ok, and my burrito was tasty, however I experienced stomach upset for the remainder of the night. I suspect food poisoning, and will contact the Santa Clara Health Dept. to inquire. I remember when super taq was just a small shed on Monterey highway just down the road in the 1980's. This place has grown into a chain with quite a few bay area locations. Success is well deserved and you can tell by the continued quality in their offerings after all these years. I have tried about all they have to offer but I come back for the same thing everytime, the carne asada super burrito (no beans). It's amazing! Perfectly seasoned and grilled carne asada rolled up in a steamed (with cheese) tortilla with avocado and fresh salsa. The salsa bar has 2 taco sauces and they are both so good that I grab them both and alternate bites, red, green... They have just the right amount of heat (enough to make me sweat) and the flavor is intense! I'm definitely going to eat many more burritos from super taq in my life, you should definitely give'em a try! read more
