This was my first appointment with Scott, I felt comfortable and assured that this was going to be a successful visit. The results were great. I know I'm just writing about a hair appointment, but this visit was remarkable. I felt like it was my time to be a little happier than the hum drum of every slushy winters day. That I can look good outside and perhaps my internal being will feel good too. The owners name is Linda. She manages The Hair Gallery as well as provides haircare services for customers. This salon is very close to where I live. It's convenient to have The Hair Gallery so close, but if they were located far away, I would travel far to have such excellent care. I had a friend refer me to The Hair Gallery. So friend, treat yourself to a day (or whatever time works best for you) at this friendly salon. The Hair Gallery has its own website. She then proceded to snap at me and say that if it wasn't on the shelf then it isnt in stock. She did not bother checking at all. Me and my friend were then very rudely treated for the rest of our shopping experience. 5 minutes after checking out we looked online at the product, where it said that it was in stock at the location we had just been at. Once we returned home we called the store because we were confused. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and unwilling to help. She even threatened to check the cameras and heavily insinuated that we were lying about our experience. She was unwilling to help us, and when we mentioned that the second suggested product was priced incorrectly in store, she became very rude and told us that whatever the app says, is correct. Even though the second product was priced $30 higher in store than it was online. Throughout the entire shopping experience we were treated very rudely and were talked to as if we were too poor to be in the store while we were discussing prices, with the saleslady mentioning that "$30 might be a lot for you though" (direct quote). Overall very poor experience and the worst experience I've had shopping retail in a very long time.

When you find something that works, you stick with it so I'll keep coming back. This salon is so cute, located in downtown Hudson. I would call it a higher end salon that isn't pretentious. It has a bit of a small town feel. It is also an Aveda salon which I love. Aveda products FTW! It's a very comfortable, welcoming place. They are taking good precautions during the pandemic too by taking temperatures and requiring masks. Five stars from this happy customer.

After 15 minutes she said she was done and it didn't look great so I asked her to take some more off. she does, and I get up and leave with an ok haircut. Until later when I get home I realize the left side of my hair is at least a few centimeters longer than the right. She also cut less off the top of my left side. I had a haircut with Brie about a year ago and I got a much better haircut than now. Seems like she rushed my cut to get me out of there. i Paid $65 not including tip for a great clips haircut. The place is nice, but I am very dissatisfied and will not be returning. Come here if you want a waste of money.

I get my haircuts in a grocery store in Woodbury. True story…read more The Juut Salonspa here is surrounded by a Kowalski's, so the atmosphere is not typical for Juut. It's split between the merchandise section (downstairs) and the salon (upstairs). The salon has that Aveda smell that I can't get enough of (sorta herbal and minty)---except when they have beef brisket samples downstairs... which I also can't get enough of. The five stars are mostly for Bridget, the Juut stylist I've seen since 2006. I love, love, love her. I love her enough to drive all the way to Woodbury and make my way through the frozen food section of a grocery store just to get to her. I knew we were meant for each other the first time we met when I said, "I kinda like mullets---fashion-mullets." And she said, "I can do that!" Every haircut at Juut begins with a relaxing little head and neck massage and a shampoo. Nothing ever feels rushed and Bridget never makes me feel bad when I tell her I haven't washed my hair in three days. There are only about 4 chairs here, so it's never crowded or loud like some other salons. Bridget takes her time with her shears and I always leave feeling better looking than when I came in, which is the best thing about haircuts, right? The only caveat is that Bridget's prices are sky-high (I think it's because she's a "Senior Stylist"). I don't get cuts frequently, so I don't mind spending a little more for exactly what I want. Plus, all Juut salons have free bang trims, so that's a nice bonus when I have to get, like, 4-5 of them in between annual haircuts.

So you enter the grocery store, then go upstairs to the salon. The salon waiting room is open air, so you can hear the background noise of the grocery store, but it didn't bother me much. You check in upstairs. But you pay downstairs (in the Aveda store) - your aesthetician will walk you downstairs. The prices quoted are for their more junior level folks. It takes probably 5-10 minutes to make an appointment. But, I haven't had much difficulty getting an appointment when I want one. Below are the services I've had with different people here. I've had one haircut with Tracy. She's the mid-level, my basic haircut was ~$50. The haircut itself was good, it was what I asked for. But, it wasn't fantastic. Personally, she was friendly and nice, but I didn't feel a real connection with her. Also, I felt some pressure to purchase products, which I dislike. At this point, I'll keep looking for a stylist, but if i can't find anyone, I'd be willing to come back to Tracy. I *love* my waxer, Kelly. She is amazing. She is master level (the top level), so her prices are ~$5 - $10 more per service than what's quoted in the price list. After my first visit, I knew that i'd continue to see her. My very sensitive skin usually takes a while to recover after a wax, but after a visit to Kelly, my skin looks great after about a day. She's also very personable, I don't feel pressure to purchase more services or products, and I don' feel like she's being friendly to get a bigger tip or becuas she feels she *has* to be nice. updated, 4/27/08
