Reiver's is always a great spot to have lunch or dinner. This restaurant has survived the test of time and many of my friends worked here as teenagers. It is usually pretty steady but you might have to wait a little when it's busy. The last time I was in the restaurant I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was amazing. A friend ordered the Nachos and loved them. Another had a burger that was also good. The air mister on the patio was a bit of an issue but not enough to move. After lunch or dinner it's always good to walk up and down Gaylord and remember/see all the great shops and restaurants on this block. read more

Had brunch here with friends and family recently one saturday morning. We were greeted walking in by the host, and offered seating in or out. It was a nice morning and early so we sat out on the covered patio and enjoyed our meal. After perusing the menu I went for the Chicken and waffles with a good cup of coffee. This is a seriously good meal, spicy, sweet, tangy, crunchy and savory. A nicely breaded chicken over a pair of waffles with and egg on top. A spicy hot sauce, with butter and syrup on the side. Stopped here after a long bike ride at Wash Park. Great location. Sat on patio outside but it is covered from the sun and other elements. Busy Saturday afternoon. Lots to choose from on the menu. From sandwiches to burgers, salads and brunch. I ordered the turkey sandwich as did my guest. My husband got the Reiver''s breakfast. It comes with eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, and potatoes reasonably priced at only $14. The turkey sandwich had excellent bread! Lots of turkey, Swiss cheese, tomato, and avocado. It comes with an aïoli sauce, which was really good. You get your choice of fries, lemon kale or tater tots. There are other things you can substitute for the sides. The sandwich was delicious other than the bread was just toasted, and the sandwich was assembled together. I think it would've been so much better if the sandwich was grilled. Service was good. This restaurant was a nice place to stop as we biked through Washington Park area and neighborhood. read more

Beware! Intense loud music overhead has returned. Good luck trying to have any dinner conversation. WHY? Heavy loud rock blaring overhead does not match most of the patrons preference? This has been an ongoing issue with Reivers. Last time, a year ago, we were told it was the bartender's decision on volume. Huh? Seems the Manager should have the last word. Yesterday our dinner was pretty much ruined since we could hardly hear each other. We live in the area but it's hard to return to Reivers when they have such little respect for boomer customers dinning there. We love music, yes even rock. But the speaker volumes are rude and disrespectful. Food was so so . It's a shame Reivers is going downhill, after years of good food, ambience and service on Gaylord. read more

Food is good, drinks are good - manmosa! Atmosphere is great. Great place to watch your favorite sporting event. Friendly bartenders that give generous pours. The lobster benedict is our favorite. We order it every time even if it is not on the menu. If it's not on the menu, just ask for it and they may be able to make it for you. The only problem I ever had here was my eggs came out runny when I asked for them to be hard and it took quite a while to get them back. read more

Went for the Thursday T-Bone steak special. Everything was great. Service, salad, loaded baked potato but sadly the T-Bone was a complete waste. I happen to like very rare steak and told the waitress that l wanted the steak blue when she asked how l wanted it cooked. What l got was a plate sized 1/4 inch steak! Folks there is absolutely no way a 1/4 inch thick steak can be cooked to order. This is clearly not a meal to have on repeat. Food was decent--typical bar food vibes. I got the jam burger, which was good. The baked brie was fabulous, as well as the spinach artichoke dip. Service was good considering it was game day and this bar seems geared to those who watch sports. Parking is on the street, so it may take a few minutes to find. Shoutout to the wait staff who hooked us up with watching the Auburn game. One thing to note, this place is busy busy on game days. My son and I stopped in for food on our way to a concert yesterday afternoon. It had been at least a few years since I had been there. (Used to live a few blocks away) Staff were amazing. They greeted us right away, gave us the option to basically sit anywhere we wanted and waited on us to perfection. Place was super clean; floors, tables, chairs, utensils and restroom! Not used to seeing that level of cleanliness anymore. Bravo! The food was even better. My son got the All American Burger and I had to make sure the smoked wings were as good as I remember. We were not disappointed. I think the smoked wings here are easily some of the best around. And their 'half dozen' just may be more like 8 wings. What a pleasant surprise. Started out pretty quiet but got much busier as the evening went on. Ordered some cocktails at the HH price of $8. Beer and wine are an even better deal. Got their smothered tots and pickle chips. Tots were so delicious and topped with cheese, bacon and tomatoes - almost like nachos on steroids. I'm not usually one for fried pickles - but these surprisingly had a lot of flavor. Our server was nice but a little hit or miss at times - she'd float from checking in a lot to disappearing but I'm going to attribute that to the staff shortage. Stopped in here for happy hour last week. The margarita was not good, but the appetizers we got were awesome. We ordered the Prime Rib Egg Rolls and the Mexican Street Corn & Brussels. The service was good and the ambiance was good, kind of like an elevated Irish pub/sports bar with plenty of TVs. This is a great spot to visit walking distance from Washington Park. It was also my friends birthday so we wanted to treat him to a good meal. They have mostly burgers but a few other bar food options and some good looking salads. We came here around noon on a Saturday, it was a bit busy but we did not have a wait for three people. The wait staff we're kind, our waitress was a little bit annoyed when we were not ready to order, other than that everything was great. I ordered a apple jam burger with arugula medium rare. The burger was extremely tasty the bun is high quality bread, my only complaint would be the amount of sweet potato fries that was given even though you have to pay extra. I would want to try other restaurants and Gaylord Street before coming back but it was a solid place read more

Best ambiance, food, service and drinks aprons this side of Denver for sure. The owner is Greek so the food has Greek vibes to it but the freshness, the taste and the flavor is unlike any other! The food is very organic and tastes fresh and flavorful for sure. Been here twice and will definitely be back. I ordered the crepes once for Brunch and being French I know crepes and these were to die for. Also had the deviled eggs and the kale parm salad with blackened chicken. Very flavorful, juicy and not dry at all, actually one of the best I've had. The bartender Josh is very friendly and accommodating.
