Went for a Brazilian and underarm wax as I have many many times, but this time my left armpit was severely burned. She waxed this highly sensitive area at least 6 times. I barely had any hair to start with, so I'm not sure why she continued to wax the area. So, Between the wax being too hot and her going over the area more than she should've, I was left with burned irritated skin. I called to speak with the manager Polly and she had the receptionist call me back. They said to use aloe, but it was past that point because several days had passed. (I went on vacation after getting the service) I needed to know how I can treat the discoloration!!! No further assistance, refund or anything was offered. Absolutely terrible experience which feels like the type of false advertising/ service you would get at a used car lot. I booked an apt online for a full body wax. I am attaching a screenshot of their exact description of this which states "Full body (not including face)". That would mean it includes legs and arms. However, once arrived at the location, come to find out that apparently full body does not mean arms in their dictionary. The person dealt with was absolutely rude, inconsiderate, and just the sheer fact that you would not only lie on your page when stating the service included with the price, but unapologetically defend it your unethical business practice is just behind me. First, let me say that I loved this place, specifically Thais. Loved it so much I've been nine times. Until today. Service was great, as usual BUT if you've been a patron of this place and using the punch card, they are no longer accepting it. No warning, no nothing. All of my visits no longer count. Further, you can't schedule appointments online anymore since their website has switched over. Did customers get an email about not being able to use their punch cards anymore or the new booking system? No. I blame the owners and not the staff. I have gone here for years but after yesterday's appointment I will no longer visit this place of business. I had my usual waxing done and the woman doing the waxing kept re-waxing the same area. As a result, my skin was removed and now I may have scarring depending on the severity of the burn. She also made my eyebrows extremely thin and continued to pluck and wax the same areas over. I didn't have a unibrow but she waxed the area anyways. Now I am missing skin from my forehead, and the side of my mouth, and upper lip. read more

The staff was nice but this lady had no idea what she was doing. I have been getting a Brazilian wax consistently for about 3yrs straight. I usually go to Brazillian by Andrea every 3-4 weeks and the sign was very similar so I figured I'd give them a try. It had only been 3.5 weeks since my previous wax. I've never been scarred, burned, and painful like she did me. Instead of going in sections she placed the wax on my entire front area and ripped. It was so painful and did not remove the hair. Then she used a hot wax roller that burned me. She had to wax the area 4-5 times to remove the hair. Later that evening I was in so much pain I had to sleep with an ice pack. And it took 2 weeks for the scar to heal with using neosporin everyday. I will never go back here! Edit: Polly G I'm not sure of the exact day I came in but I am certain that I had to use an ice pack that same night and neosporin on the area I was burned on for at least a week. And that I didn't completely heal for at least two week. I am also certain that she went over the same area 4-5 times to remove the hair using the hot wax that rolls on. I really could care less how long she has been waxing or who she started with. I just know she has no business working in a salon with the skills she has. Like I said before...I will NEVER come back. You guys are lucky I didn't file a lawsuit! read more

Came in today after searching for a place that was near my side of town as I usually go to a location by my job. I was seen immediately, no wait and Polly was amazing! She made me feel very comfortable and I had very little pain. I didn't get a Brazilian wax because I'm terrified of them but I just may venture out one day and try it! I loved them until I hated them....... my first Brazilian wax was from here and like all first timers it was painful for a brief moment and then after that I had a smooth kitty. Fast forward to my second wax one month later..... I was getting my second wax and the wax was very hot. My waxer (I'll leave her name anonymous) stopped mid wax and told me that I was having a reaction to the hot wax and to next time get a sugaring wax instead. After stopped mid wax she told me to go home and put anti biotic ointment on it, so of course I went home and did just that. NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY BAD..... Fast forward 3 weeks after my bad wax I began to experience some blisters and burning which was an infection from my bad wax! The skin on the inside and outside of my lady parts had to get treated for the infection. This was my third time getting a wax (Decatur) with them (full body) and the woman used the same strip multiple times on all parts of my body. As a result, I've been itching ever since I left and am having a bad reaction all over my body. What they did was unsanitary and I will never be back. The person who responded OBVIOUSLY did not read what I wrote. The waxer used the same waxing strip REPEATEDLY. This is unsanitary!!! I'm not sure what she did not understand about this. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. While I like my wax technician, I feel there is something missing here (and not the obvious). The Decatur location is in the Emory area so instead of being a walk in, I always suggest booking an appointment. It doesn't matter though because my appointments don't start on time. Maybe it's because I typically go in the evening. I don't know. The front desk can be all over the place sometimes and while I understand that someone is answering the phone and booking business and watching tv and checking text messages, I would really appreciate some professionalism. So, if you're in the market, I'd say give them a try because my waxes are always good. I'm hopeful that your experience with customer service will be better than mine. read more

This was my first time coming to Relax & Wax, and I had a pretty good experience. Reneé was very nice! The process was pretty quick (can't say painless haha). I'm not sure if tv are in all of the rooms, but the tv was a great distraction to the task at hand. The only downfall was not starting my appointment on time. This is hands down the best place for waxing!!! They use quality hard wax which reduces the pain but still removes all hairs. It is a great technique !I have been going since they open. Pauly is my fav technician but I have NEVER had a bad service! I have been to many places previously. The price point is great . Its always clean and smells super good. The desk clerk had horrible customer service skills which ruined my entire experience. Last week I showed up to my appointment about 20 minutes early. The clerk tells me that I'll have to wait about 20 minutes (which is fine I understand that I'm early). I wait 20 minutes and throughout these 20 minutes I hear people chatting in the back where the wax rooms are. So my appointment time has come and gone. I ask the clerk if my wax lady is here and she says yes. She never tells me if she's running late with another client, or that she'll be with me shortly. Long story short, I left after waiting 15 additional minutes because the communication was horrible. I was never told when I was going to be serviced. Worst customer service that I've ever experienced at a wax center AND this was my first time there! So I wouldn't recommend someone to go there. read more

So this was my first ever Brazilian wax. Only cost me $25. They seem to stay pretty busy because the wait time for my wax was 2 days. Which isn't bad i dnt live in the area and i needed it during my 11-12 lunch break. So I get there and the lady that i have is ready for me. They provide baby wipes to use before, I brought my own. Let's just jump to the waxing it's really not soo bad. It's just a quick pull and they apply pressure after to "disguise" the pain. The crack doesn't hurt at all. Took about 20 minutes, and she talked to me the whole time to keep me comfortable. So, why did I give them 3 stars you ask? I had some hair left over. Why didn't I check before I left? I basically had to get dressed in front of the lady because she stayed to clean the room after we were done. Weird right? I mean granted she already saw everything but still I wanted to really check myself out. I gave a tip of $5, which i semi regret. Hair was mainly left in "bikini" area. It wasn't a lot but it was enough for me to notice. read more
