I have been really wanting to try the scalp therapy I keep seeing all over instagram and glad I finally got the opportunity! They first take pretreatment scalp photos which were so gross looking but also kind of cool to see. I never felt uncomfortable and they did their best to make me feel relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do think scalp massages are not my preference as I did feel like my scalp was a little tender to begin with but they also did full body massages as well while my scalp was going through heat therapy. At the end, they spray some tea tree to calm the scalp that felt really refreshing. I did leave feeling very clean but also it made my hair a little oily from whatever other product they used. but I'd say for the price it is SO WORTH it to come here. My scalp and body feel amazing and my hair so soft. Many other massage places charge over $110 for full body. Relax Spa is so clean and even the massages felt amazing. My first experience was okay, so I decided to give it another try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The masseuse was kind; however, I was uncomfortable with the amount of pressure used.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She pushed directly on my spine/backbone, which I have never experienced at any other massage place. I had to ask her not to massage that area. She also massaged my neck very aggressively. I asked her to use lighter pressure multiple times (at least three times for different areas of my body). In some areas, the pressure then became too light, but overall the pressure felt inconsistent. I regularly get massages, including deep tissue massages, and have tried many different places, so this experience felt unusual to me. It has been almost a week, and I am still feeling sore. I was also told that the boss instructed her to massage me strongly, which was not something I requested. Unfortunately, instead of feeling relaxed, I left feeling uncomfortable. Each treatment was fine, but honestly, I don't think they're doing anything more than shampooing your hair several times, and I thought they're a little too rough sometimes. You take off your bra and shirt and you put this around your chest and it Velcro just in case you're worried it won't fit it totally will. Then you lay down and they do the rest and they include a foot massage, hand, massage and neck and shoulders. It truly is an incredible experience. I had a 10 minute massage that they gave for free and it was the best 10 minute massage I've ever had. My husband had a 30 minute Additional foot massage and he said the same. It was my first time and tried the scalp and hair spa treatment. The place is inside Oak Mill plaza on the 2nd floor, it's clean, quiet and everyone's nice and friendly. Kevin took snap shots of my scalp with a special head machine with a camera that looks like a pen. Then a very nice lady did my scalp treatment. It started with a facial massage, it felt great and I wish it lasted a little longer because it felt like it was only maybe 5 mins. She massaged my head, washed it with shampoo and conditioner, and through the process a massage is included on head, back of the neck, and the shoulders. She then steamed my hair which felt amazing, and while the steam is happening she massaged my arms and finish off with a quick press on my lower extremities. She washed my hair once more, dried my hair and put oil (I think), then took another photos of my scalp. I could tell how much cleaner my scalp and hair looked after the treatment. They also offered me a free 10 mins massage, and I said yes for a chair massage... amazing 10 minute massage! I like strong pressure and the lady had strong hands and it made me very happy.
