Hello south beach.once again my A/C leaked freon.Ive been dealing with problem for at least two years off and on.so I called Reliable A/C and they got the job done in about 3 hours..i always would use Snow White but they wanted me to buy a whole roof unit.Reliable techs put pressure in all of my lines and found a leak in the pipes between my unit and the roof in the crawl space.I asked for Henry and he brought to of his techs,Angle and Alex and they fixed the problem.Snow White? How the hell does a place that won't come for an emergency on Sundays or call you back after trying to schedule a service 3 times have an average of 4 stars on Yelp? I have had misgivings with yelp. The reviews I've found have been in many cases made-up from my experience. Reliable air conditioning unfortunately strengthens those feelings. I was out of town so i was desperate and thought i could trust him. The guy in one week came 3 different times to the place and each time there was a new problem. when all was done I was out more than 600 dollars. Our air conditioner went out over the weekend (of course!) I called a company recommended by our condo association, who told me it would be $240.00 just to come out. I suffered till this morning (Monday) and looked at yelp reviews online and I called Reliable first thing this morning and they came out 45 minutes later. What a very nice man! He fixed it and it was such a relief!! Had I known about him, I would have called him earlier and not had to suffer all weekend!! The price seemed fair. I called at 10:30 pm cause my air wasn't cooling. Not only did a tech answer the phone pretty quickly, but he actually walked me through fixing what was wrong with it. The next morning, the tech called me early to see if I still needed him to come out and take a look at it. I thanked him for helping me and told me the air was working again thanks to them. My air conditioning stopped working and I called Reliable Air based on all of the great reviews. First, an unprofessional guy answers. He doesn't give his name, name of the company nothing. just slurs a bored "hello." I tell him my location and my problem and he asks me if I want service tonight (mind you, their website is plastered with Emergency Service 24/7, and they list my area as a service area), I say yes and he says, "No, we're too busy, call tomorrow morning," (and here's the kicker) "or call another company"! I can't recall the last time I had such a good experience with a service company. For years I have relied on word of mouth and friends to find a good HVAC company. This past weekend, when our A/C went out, we found Reliable through google and I noticed that they had a lot of good reviews. We called on a saturday night, and they were willing to come out within the hour, but after speaking with us they realized that the problem probably couldn't be fixed that night and that we probably didn't need to spend the extra money for an off-hours service call. The next morning they came on time and as agreed, and shortly figured out what the problem was (they were right, it could not have been fixed the night before), and quickly had pricing for all our options. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how good their prices were (much less than I expected). I paid less for a brand new far more efficient A/C than I did eight years ago for a far less efficient model. They installed the A/C within just a few hours, their work was clean and professional and good looking. You could really tell they take pride in their work. We ended up very, very happy customers and will call definitely call Reliable whenever we need A/C service in the future. We will also be referring our friends to them when they ask. read more

When I called to find out where he was, he told me that he couldn't make it due to other service calls. He never even bothered to call me and let me know that he wasn't coming. Our air conditioning went out last and we thought we could sleep with it off since it is fall but we were up sweating all night. I called Reliable air conditioning at 9 am today (a Sunday) and the repairman was here an hour later just like I was told on the phone. Thank goodness for Henry!!!!! Our A/C quit on us and left us melting. We called one repairman, who came and "fixed" it, but it quit again after 2 days. We called him back, and he said he would be here at 4. By 5, he said he would be there at 8. At 9, he said he would be here at 8AM. At 9, we called someone else, who showed up at 1 for a 12:00 appointment, worked for 5 mintues and then ran out of the house, mumbling something about an emergency he had to go and take care of. We called Henry after the good reviews here. He showed up 1 1/2 hours later. He figured out what the problem was and fixed it quickly at a reasonable price. His number is now a permanent fixture in my phonebook, and I will go out of my way to refer Reliable to anybody I know. I am beyond pleased. 5 Stars for Henry and Reliable! read more

Fantastic is all I can say. We returned to our Miami Beach condo after being away and found the a/c disconnect fuse box corroded. Henry came out the same day and expertly replaced it at a reasonable cost. Whats more is that it was Christmas Eve. He is the only Air Conditioning contractor I will use from now on. I can't help it; I am a skeptic and don't easily trust people. When my a.c. went out during Passover (hot!), I knew of no one nor had any recommendations. Henry and Nick came out SAME DAY, got it running (better than before--quieter, more airflow), and were quite fair in their rate. I would use them again, easily. THESE PEOPLE EARNED MY TRUST. They are fast and can show up in the same day. They say there is a service charge that is deductable towards the cost of the repair however i am not sure if that is accurate. In my case they said $285 for a Ac gas change which is steep and seems like service charge of $85 was just added to total. read more

My AC was not cooling at all and I got into Yelp to look for an AC repair company. I chose Reliable AC b/c the overwhelming majority of reviews of them were very good, and I also needed someone who could come straight away. Henry did not disappoint me. He showed up within the hour, checked everything, found the two AC parts that needed to be replaced, replaced them on the spot (with a 1-year warranty on the parts), and my AC was back in good cooling order. Henry also took the time to explain why the AC had broken down and what to look out for and options going forward as the AC unit is old and may need replacement in the not too distant future. We have a rental condo on South Beach but no longer live in the area. Tenants called on Saturday night to say there was a major emergency with the unit. I'll spare you the details, but we were genuinely worried about the safety of the tenants and of our condo! So we needed someone there pronto. We have historically used one of the big name companies for our many a/c repairs. Called them but they didn't have anyone who could get there that night. Found Reliable A/c based on positive yelp reviews. Called them and left a message, and got a call back 5 minutes later that they had someone who could be there in twenty minutes. And they legitimately got there 20-30 minutes later. At 9pm on a Saturday night. In the heart of South Beach. They did the work and the unit was up and running again within an hour. As an absentee landlord calling with an emergency issue on a weekend, I know that this makes me ripe for inflated prices. But the fee for everything was extremely reasonable. Especially considering the Saturday night emergency service. I spoke to Henry a couple days later to pay the bill over the phone, and took the opportunity to line him up for a couple other maintenance/service items for the condo (which has two a/c units). He advised me that, given how cool the unit felt when he was there, we shouldn't waste our money. Very cool to be so forthright. I told him I found him on yelp and would continue to use him -- since the prices were reasonable, he was available on an emergency weekend basis, he was honest, and he got the unit working. He said the best repayment was a good review on yelp - so here I am! read more

This is my second review for this company, the first one was not very good as I was not a happy customer, but then Henry changed it for me. Let me explain. Reliable came to do a maintenance for my AC, and 10 days later my air conditioner stopped working. I was upset about paying for an expensive maintenance and instead of having a perfectly working AC, now I had it broken. I called Henry to complain, we had a talk about the whole situation and he offered to prove himself to me. Then he found a very satisfactory solution and now my AC is working like a charm. My family and I went out on friday morning to celebrate my birthday. To our surprise we came home to our apartment and found our AC was not functioning. We contacted our building engineer who proceeded to inform us that they could not help us as it was most likely an electrical issue with the AC. With an 8 month old daughter who was currently fighting off a cold, naturally my husband and I panicked! My husband immediately did an online search and came across this company. At this point it was 6:45 in the evening on a friday night. He called and was told immediately that someone would be at our apt in 45 mins. Almost exactly 45 mins later we had Henry appear at our apt building to help us repair our AC. Immediately I got a great impression from the gentleman who was very pleasant and cordial. He was very knowledgeable and knew what to look for and how to repair it. It took him no more than 30 mins to assess the AC, repair/replace the necessary parts and he even cleaned up after himself!
